I was hoping it would be a little lighter in weight, but, having said that the quality of the make and the built in safety features are fine. It is still easy to use.
Quick delivery and easy to assemble. Just moved into a new home with an 8ft plus hedge. Having tried to tackle it on step ladders with a cordless hedge trimmer I gave up and bought this item. I’m glad I did. Some of the branches sticking out of the top were 15mm thick and the trimmer went through these comfortably. I did find them a bit top heavy but having taken several rests I completed the job and was satisfied that I could handle it myself.
This was a gift for my 77 year old dad. It’s pretty easy to use as in its straightforward with all the interchanging from normal use to high use however it is quite heavy which does make it difficult to use for long periods. Overall it does a good job. It would be even better if it cleared up the mess after though
Great trimmer, easy to assemble, adjust and use. Harness takes a little working out how to use as the instructions around this aren’t thorough, but assembled and used to trim tall hedge and trees without issue. So far cut through branches around 1/2″ thick and remained sharp. Cuts pretty clean instead of hacking and the guard for storage is a nice touch. Happy
Ok so after A LOT of research on pole hedge trimmers I decided to go for this one. At the time there were two options, this one that came with a long handle saw for thick branches plus secateurs; and the the other option was for the ‘2-in-1’ where the trimmer came apart for a handheld hedge trimmer. I assumed (my own fault for making assumptions) that the pole trimmer would collapse down to a manageable size to use for trimming (more like a standard trimmer) and it does not. It’s by far one of the best trimmers I’ve ever used and stays sharp and makes quick work of even quite thick branches, but it’s a hell of an arm workout to trim the fronts of the hedges once you’re done with the extender! As it’s over 1m plus the size of the trimmer itself at it’s smallest it’s not the easiest to store or manoeuvre around a (as the power button is at the very end of the pole so one hand needs to stay at the end and the other to support the pole/trimmer weight) but after some getting used to it’s a great bit of kit. The straps and anchor point to support the weight of the machine on the belt is really handy and means I can easily trim in the upright position for long periods with little strain on the arms, like I said I just wish I’d got the version that comes apart for easier use on the easier to reach areas!
Quite top heavy when fully extended but is actually quite robust and strong motor, cuts quite thick 13mm branches easily . Hand pruners are sharp . Better than I thought at first .
It’s always going to be heavy with a long reach hedge trimmer and maybe this is lighter than my last ( an Aldi special) but the beauty is you can turn this one into a normal hedge clipper ! It doesn’t feel the most robust, only time will tell, but it cuts well, and for the price I’m impressed!
Prodotto arrivato puntuale, come sempre.
To lay my cards on the table, I am accustomed to using a cordless hedge trimmer (Bosch), and I am very happy with it. So why might I want to try this corded hedge-trimmer instead (or as well).
Firstly, the length (and therefore the reach) of the cutter bar is 60mm (2.5″) greater. That isn’t a lot, but it can make a difference. For the tops of my hedges, longer would be even better.
And, at 16mm, the gap between the teeth is greater — by 1mm. Surely 1mm can’t make a difference? Oddly enough, it does seem to, but in practice you still can’t seriously ask it to cut through anything of more than about 12mm (half an inch) diameter.
Perhaps, if it seems to seize on the brawnier shoots of my hawthorn hedge with greater alacrity, that is not because of the extra 1mm of blade opening but the 500 watt motor and the consistent mains power behind it.
The mains power comes at a price, of course — having to set up the necessary extension cables to get to where you need to work (the instruction booklet says maximum 25 metres — and take care with both the extension and the hedge trimmer’s own cable not to let it get cut, crushed, dragged into the garden pond, etc.
Going back to a corded trimmer after becoming used to a cordless is the biggest ‘hardship’. Cabling apart, the Garcare trimmer is reasonably convenient to use, well-balanced in the hands and certainly does the hedge-trimming job well enough.
It comes ready-to-use (there is nothing to assemble). The Amazon specification (top of page) says, ‘We provide 30-days refund and 12-month warranty. If you have any question, please contact with us.’ Ah, but who to contact, other than Amazon themselves? There is no address or other contact details in the instruction booklet — or any suggestion of a warranty. However, in the UK the vendor should provide a replacement, repair or refund if there is a problem other than through misuse or normal wear and tear during the first 12 months.
Mains powered, excellent and powerful extendable tree pruner with 20mm wide saw jaws will tackle most jobs around the garden. Can be used in ‘short mode’ with switch handle plugged directly into pruner head, or with extension section which simply plugs in between switch handle and pruner head. This extension section incorporates a sliding inner section to further extend the pruner. Fully extended the pruner is quite heavy and needs care with handling but the large handle on the extension section and the shoulder sling helps provide control.
Very easy cutting angle adjustment and handle positions make it easy to handle even at full extension . Definitely a big improvement after the Bosch I had previously . Very satisfied with my new hedge trimmer .
I bought this for hubby to keep the hedges in the garden trimmed. After a shoulder op last year he was concerned that it may be too heavy, but it’s not at all. Not only has he does the garden hedges, hes also cleared a thicket of hedges in our ponies field, and the hedges in our lane much to the enjoyment of the villagers who can now see over the top. Considering hubby was worried because it was a name he hadnt heard of before, hes well impressed by all aspects of it. Definitely would recommend buying this.
A great set of hedge cutters that seems to cope well with fairly thick branches. The cut is very good and the long blade helps keep the overall trim neat and even. Very light weight cutters allow for extended use at or above shoulder height and because of this, easy to control.
Husband tested it and says it works well so far, he is yet to use it on our long high conifer hedge, but is happy he can stand on ground not a ladder to reach the top.
Had one of these in its previous guise, it lasted 3 years before the plastic neck snapped. But it’s had good use and I’m pleased to get another.
It is heavy but usable. The best thing about it is without the extension pole it is a normal, if slightly bulkier, hedge trimmer. Most extendable units don’t do that.
So you can use it for low work and up high.
My last hedgecutter was cordless and even when fully charged it was never powerful enough to trim the thicker, woodier bits of a hedge. This model rips through my hedges. At this price it could never be used for bigger or more professional use. But, for the occasional DIY hedge – cutting it is fine. It is, however, quite noisey!
This is a brilliant hedge trimmer!
It comes with a protective case for the blades which is always handy and what seems like extra long blades. The cord is a really good length too.
The safety aspect is good as per all hedge trimmers, you have to hold in the handle before pressing the trigger…so you can pick it up safely as long as both triggers aren’t touched at once!
The trimmer is nice and powerful so it cuts through leaves like butter. The only stumble is on branches, it takes some work to cut through those. I can’t mark that as a fault however as I’ve not come across a trimmer that does go through branches yet.
One aspect I really liked is that some blades go for a second or 2 after you let go. This stops dead as soon as you take your hand off.
This is actually quite light, so I’m looking forward to when summer comes and I can cut the hedges more regularly knowing it won’t feel like my arms are going to fall off!
I would recommend this item. I hope this has been helpful to your purchase
This is a good lightweight (due to being mostly plastic) trimmer that has a long 51cm blade length. The handle is strong and easy to use while operating it but it is a little blade end heavy which is down to there being no weight in the handle end, the power cable is only 6m long as well which could have done with being 10m as you are not supposed to plug this sort of tool into an extension lead.
Overall, it is handy to have and a good price for what you get. so if you just need one for the odd job or occasionally this is great.
This long reach hedge trimmer works well after you put it all together. I must admit that because it is telescopic, it was much larger than I first thought. However, it does reach high hedges and it cuts very well.
Although it comes with a long lead, be prepared to have a longer than normal extension reel.
Product arrived in good time, well packaged and as described.
While at time of writing the growing season was passed I had a tall hedge which had been left quite shaggy so I was able to give it a bit of a trim. The machine made a good job and performed faultlessly. Provided it continues to give good service I am happy to recommend it.
I was hoping it would be a little lighter in weight, but, having said that the quality of the make and the built in safety features are fine. It is still easy to use.

This is a really good trimmer but is tricky to handle as the centre of gravity is on the blade end. Still am using it often.

Does a great job just a little bit heavy to hold

Salve, in base Qualit-Prezzo sembra un buon prodotto. Per adesso non posso dire altro. Usato solo una volta per provarlo. Sembra buono .
Not heard of the make before but took a punt anyway and really glad I did- it is excellent and makes short work trimming the large hedge.

Looks good but is quite heavy. The instruction booklet is not well written (poor English) and requires careful study!
I like the ease of use and the build quality is good.
Yes I would recommend this produc
Very easy cutting angle adjustment and handle positions make it easy to handle even at full extension . Definitely a big improvement after the Bosch I had previously . Very satisfied with my new hedge trimmer .
The best hedge trimmer I’ve ever had! Lightweight and very easy to use.
Easy to assemble and works well after a bit of practice and adjustment of the handle on the extension pole to get the balance right.

It feels quite heavy but the strap does help. It does the job I bought it for.

Well made good price a bit heavy and unwieldy but does the job just have to take your time

I do not dislike anything about the trimmer works well , also the service was first class re delivery and packageing

It was the same thing I was looking fir thank you
This is light in weight, so easy to use and is Just as good as more expensive cutters I have used in the past. I would recommend these

Not used it yet but looks really good many thanks
Good compact little machine , with wire . Great for carry around the garden (where cord allows you). Comes with a guard on the blades .
