I’ve had this tent since Jan 2022 and I’m generally happy with it. Of course I have not found much similar, with the same price point and features. So I am kinda stuck with it LOL. Used in the US Southwest.

    PROS:
    – Tall! I can 5’9″ and can stand perfectly straight in the middle. It’s so awesome to be able to put on pants standing up.
    – Easy to set up. I do it solo all the time.
    – Spacious. I can fit a Twin XL air mattress on 1/3 side and a bunch of gear in the other 2/3.
    – Tent poles are very thick. Held up to sustained 40mph wind gusts. I used all guy line points and also tied down the poles as an extra measure. I would not keep testing it though!

    CONS:
    – Single layer. It is a 3 season tent at best and its large size (using as a single person tent) does not hold heat well. But I use a tent heater and electric blankets (in winter) and I’m fine.
    – No rain fly. I do not camp in the rain, but I imagine it would suck. I did notice some some holes in the top, most likely from scraping against the center hub over time.
    – Back window can only be opened from the outside. Boo.
    – Front door only has zippers on the side. This leaves the bottom open to the wind. The front mesh door zips all around.

Like I said – I’ll stick with this unit, until I find better.

Great tent but not perfect (for me)

Love the fact it’s almost like a pop up tent, in that it’s already attached to the poles and all you have to do is open it out and extend the legs, pin it down. Can’t comment on water resistance yet because I’ve not used it in the rain. Very novel idea, love it. Plenty big enough too, can stand up in it everywhere, not just the centre. Decent sized pocket for stuff inside and a hook for a light.

So easy to put up. At the moment it’s temporary housing for our hot tub over winter. The tent has stood up to wind & rain so far since Oct & now into Dec.
Perfectly dry inside . We screwed the tent legs to our decking as its on solid ground.
& when the winter is over, hopefully the tent will be used for camping.

    So far so good

So very easy to put up but I had to replace the first one because of a leg issue and I have a different leg issue on the replacement. It’s still relatively easy and quick for one person to put up. I’ve used it several times.

Cool tent for glamping and camping, easy set up and break down. I wish it came with velcro to hold up the window and the poles for the front, that’s a separate purchase. Over all great te

Great product at a fair price. Easy to put up & take down as stated in ad, takes 3-5 minutes. I have had a lot of tents in my life time, but none as easy to put up & take down as this one. It seems to be well made but only time will tell. The only thing I think it needs is a rain cover, would be nice but a 6×6 tarp works fine & they are cheap to get less than 5 dollars.

Tent brilliant for what I needed. Used once great made sure it was away correctly following instructions on 2nd use there were 2 cuts looked like a knife had gone through. Amazon advised that I needed to contact them direct 2 attempts and still no response.

Bought as a first tent for a camping trip to Fort william at Ben nevis. The wind howled and the rain poured and the tent stood its ground. The little porch thing in the images isn’t as larger (wide) as I had thought really only room for one in a camp chair under this cover. But overall I am happy with my purchase I hope to get my moneys worth out of it. The only thing I would note is the window covers are outside with zips and things but nothing internal for covering the windows. And due to this being a single skinned tent you do get condensation on the inside. Purchase poles to hold the porch up separately

Delivered promptly and we’ll packaged. We bought this as an addition for our campervan. On first use it was so easy to erect and I can attest to it’s waterproof abiliias it absolutely chucked it down. The only rain that came into the tent was via the window which I’d gone away and left rolled up so my fault. My only complaint is I didn’t realize they did larger sizes as I’d have got a bigger one. Great value and highly recommend.

Waste of moneyDO NOT BUY bought this tent for myself and family to go tent camping, we got 2 uses from it and the poles bent and snapped, great first use, not so great second use and broken on third use, DO NOT BUY, WASTE OF MONEY, will be contacting for a refund.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersArrived quickly. Great value. Fast and easy assembly and break down.
Only thing I don’t like about the tent is that because it only has two windows (back window and door) it was very hot. And it is inconvenient to have to go outside of the tent to put the privacy screens down on the windows.
Otherwise, very happy with this purchase

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood quality! The first day (setup day) it was storming. The tent held up pretty well, and took probably about 5 minutes to set up. Because we were walking in and out of the tent the floor did get a bit wet, but nothing a small towel couldn’t fix. I didn’t check the outside of the walls, however the inside did get a little damp, no dripping though. One downside I found is that the outside door (without mesh) does not close all the way around, the bottom of the door does not zip and there is a small space, not sure if a lot of tents are this way but this is the first tent I’ve used like this. It did not effect any water getting in, as the height of the bottom was pretty high and kept water out. No snags or anything from the zippers. The issue with the window was that the zipper was ONLY on the outside so if you wanted the window open you had to leave the tent to do so. Held up with the wind, was pretty windy the second day and the tent barely moved. The material of the bottom does not allow sand or dirt to stick so clean up was really easy. The tent size was more a 3 person tent than a 4 person (if you actually wanted room and to not step on anyone) but it can only fit one queen bed and if you try to put another mattress you will have 0 room for anything else in the tent. So overall, because of the window zipper and the dampness of the walls I gave 4 stars, but definitely a good tent for 2 people!

Update to below. I think the tent must have got lost during its return but I have now had a refund. I’m going to buy another one as it suits my kids perfectly and is so easy to put up and take down and pack away

The zip to the door flap of the tent was broken. I returned the tent on the understanding that I woul receive a refund so I could buy a new one but now I have no tent and I have lost over 100. I contacted Amazon but have heard nothing. So sad. The tent is a great design but I was sold a dream. I got this tent for my kids but it is not fit for purpose and unsafe for them as the door would not zip up.

Material is not super cheap but definitely not high quality, will need extra protection for rain but since I was setup for just one clear night I didn’t bother. It was unbelievably easy to put up on my own as well as taking down and getting back in the bag. It’s light and the poles are extend and retract as well as having joints that allow them to fold. Good design. I am 5’5″ and found it easy to move around inside even with a double high queen mattress. I do wish it was 10×10 instead of 8×8 if I were to camp in it for a week. The only real downside I had thoughts about was the window…it is flapped and zipped on the outside so if you want airflow you have to get out of the tent to do so.

In constant medium rain it failed after a day. For this price it should have a nice cover over the top! With an awning we added it works great! Awesome zipper and nice screening! If the company added a big cover to go over the top and it would be well worth the price!

Wirklich sehr intuitiv.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersWriting this review while sleeping in the tent in a thunder storm.. Just experienced the worst thunder storm I had been in my entire life I never realised thunder storms could be this bad in the UK. The tent is pitched on higher ground but just 5 meters away, a puddle with water up to 6 inch was forming. While the side walls are dry to the touch, the floor is not entirely waterproof and this is why the tent gets four star instead of five.

We have put a poncho on top of the tent to make it extra water proof but as the wall are also dry to the touch, it does feel like the tent is water proof. However there are some water in the floor that has sipped through the seams of the floor. Photo has been attached to show what I mean.

It was so windy and the tent held up well in the wind, so for light rain and high winds (which is most of UK weather), I’m confident that the tent will hold up well.

    Set up
The tent is very easy to set up and take down. It takes minutes to do both and can be done alone.

We have a double bed air mattress and we have room on the side to put all our bags in there. If you just put a mat roll with sleeping bag, 4 people would be snug in the tent. With a double bed air matress I would say max capacity is 2 people for the tent.

    Good te

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWe used this tent for a 3 day trip in the woods over Memorial day weekend. Got there a little late and was pretty dark. This tent went up within 5 mins stumbling around in the dark. We had one 50-60 degree night and the rest were 60-70 degrees. No rain and trees everywhere so there was a good amount of shade. We kept the back window open for all the nights. We noticed on the cold night that condensation built up on the inside walls, but the outside was completely dry. On the warmer nights, we did not see that issue. I left the front completely open to air out the tent during the day. There’s really no way to partially keep the front open, it’s either all open or closed. I’m not sure the back window air flow is enough at night. We’re getting a camping fan to push some flow thru the tent, but side windows or partially open front windows would make this a really solid tent.

Definitely worth the price! Me and my boyfriend was hunting for a tent that was quite open and tall enough to stand up in as we got really bad back ache in the old tent, this one is brilliant! and to top it all off..
We got it out to test it in the garden and couldn’t believe it when the poles were pre installed and all we needed to do was extend them and it was set up!!! Took less than 5 minutes to set up and 5 minutes to take down!! Brilliant!! My parents are coming camping too and were so impressed they bought a larger version of this one!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this product to use on various motorbike rallies I am attending this year. As promised it arrived the next day so pitched it in the garden to make sure it was all there and in working order. Left it up overnight as heavy rain was expected. The next morning after 6 hours of heavy rain I checked the tent and found it bone dry inside! I am very pleased and looking forward to using it for real. My only bug bear was the “bagged size” was advertised as 38.5 inches and it turned out to be 41.5 inches not a problem in a car but a bit of an issue on a motorbike but not a major headache.

    Schneller Aufbau garantiert 😉

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI got this tent to have something I could easily set up by myself, and for a spring/summer tent. Just used it last weekend. It is very easy to setup. We had a lot of strong wind the whole weekend and it held up surprisingly well. I also water tested it at home prior to use, and the inside stayed dry. It is a good size for one or 2 people with cots or one full size blowup bed. The only things I would improve would be maybe more than one window, and also had to order canopy poles separately. I am happy with my purchase.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersJust used this tent on a camping weekend, on both nights we had hail and in the morning the ground was frozen and there was a layer of frost on the tent and Internally there was no water with zero leakage.
Setting up was nearly as easy as a popup tent and putting away was easier then the last popup tent I help with 5mins each way max. The tent was roomie and at 6’2″ the tent was tall enough that I could stand well enough to get dressed.

Just took this tent for camping on a fairly cold night- there was some condensation but I think most tents will have a little during this weather. Lots of space for 2 single mattresses with a walkway around the beds- I do like the option of the front door awning. I did place a tarp over the top of the tent to keep tent a little warmer so didn’t get a chance to use it in the rain. I like how fast I can put up and take down the tent- it’s worth spending more on instant tents.

Fits 2 adults and 2 children comfortably. I could see 6 adults, but like sardines. It’s a light weight, light material, summer tent. Not for cold rainy weather. Mid range quality. We’re using it for backyard camping.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI used to be in the scouts, and though I was good at putting up/taking down tents, I never liked doing it. This tent’s design is such a vast improvement over the old style of pop-up tents and the frustration of running poles through the fabric loops, and there’s no worries over losing the poles or breaking the flimsy, thin plastic ones.

This tent assembled in less than five minutes by myself, and takedown was half of that! Just spread out the tent, slide out the poles until they lock, and stake down to put it up. Take down only requires pushing the buttons on the legs, sliding them back into the upper poles, folding the legs inwards, and rolling up the tent around the legs.

This tent is plenty roomy for 2-4 people, and if for just two there’s enough room for a queen air mattress, a folding camp table, and a few bags of gear. I never go by the max capacity on tents, I like to have room to move around. Max capacity for tents is rated at people squeezing up in sleeping in bags on the floor, and little to no gear stored inside- that’s not my style. Ok fine, I admit I’m a glamper, lol!

This tent is very well made, and sturdy for it’s light weight! I love that it has a little flap for a power port, so I can run lights and fans on a power pack. The storage pouches inside are a nice feature, perfect for phones, charger packs, and such.
This tent also gets a lot of breeze with the screens zipped and the flaps rolled up, excellent for keeping cool here in the summers of the subtropics. Despite it claiming to be waterproof, I’m still going to be using a tarp under this tent- doing so is drilled into me to protect the tent’s floor material from rocks and debris, keep out water, and to help keep the interior clean.

I would have liked a rain fly on this tent, and it also didn’t come with poles to hold up the porch flap. Luckily I have other poles from older tents that this one is replacing- but still, it’s irksome to expect something that’s not included.

Overall I’m quite happy with this tent, and love the easy setup!

Gonex Tent for Camping 6/8/10 Person Instant Tent Waterproof Windproof Automatic Glamping Tent, Easy Set Up in Few Minutes Ideal for Family Travel Picnic Gathering

Setting up the Gonex 6 Person Instant Tent really is very simple, that it makes camping so much easier and fun. The entire tent can be setup by 1 person in about 5 minutes. The tent uses folding tent poles to make collapsing and assembling very easy. The poles and tent never part, pulling up on the center and then folding out the legs are all that is needed to expand the tent, then locking the poles into the corners of the tent and locking down with the ground spikes.

The tent has 3 windows with a mesh on the inside. You zipper/unzip the windows from the outside to open and close — this is standard as internal zippers would cause water leakage. There is even an inside pocket to store the tent’s carrying case.

The issues are this: Our carrying case came with a bad zipper that is hard to zip with. Luckily it comes with 2 zippers and we are okay with using the one. It is just a low quality carry bag. As well, the pictures show the front door being propped open and locked down with poles and rope. The tent doesn’t come with any for the door, so you’ll need to supply you own.

All-in-all, the Gonex 6 Person Instant Tent is a great, spacious tent for 6 people. It will not fit more, unless they are very small. We fit 5 and space got tight. Setup is extremely quick, it has 3 large windows and is a great tent. I just wish they included those poles.

This is a very nice, well-made camping tent. We recently took a camping trip to Angel Island and use this for the weekend. It was very easy to put up and we had it up within about 5-10 minutes. I would say that this tent comfortably sleeps four. I do see that you could probably squeeze six people into it but, it would probably be a little crowded. It has plenty of ventilation even with the front closed. It is waterproof and we did not notice any moisture on the sides even though the temperature outside was in the low 40s. The zippers worked flawlessly. I also like that it had four areas with pocket panels to hold small items like our cell phones. I like that it had the electrical external power cord opening. Although we did not use this I liked that it had this feature and it was not close to the ground. Overall, we were very pleased with the quality this tent offered. We will be using it for a mini family camping trips in the future.

Very nice material. Tough, durable, sturdy. Good poles, zippers, tabs. Strong and built to last. Looks great too. No negatives or concerns. Easy and fast to set up and take down. A bit hard to get it all in the carry sack when you take it down, so roll it super tight if you can. Excellent tent. The material on these Gonex products is especially good quality. Ordered another one.

This is a good tent for glamping purposes, but not so much for packing into your backpack for hiking to a campsite. At nearly 20lbs, it wouldn’t be feasible to take on such weight. The 6 person capacity is a little too optimistic unless all 6 individuals sleep very close together with little room to move about. I will say it can fit 4 full-sized adults comfortably. Three large windows ensure good airflow and plentiful pockets aid in storage. I thought the advertised 60 seconds set-up time was a bit too hopeful considering the size of this thing. First time set-up took me about 5 minutes, but I can see subsequent future set-ups only taking 2-3 minutes. I’m about 5’7 and was able to get around comfortably by stooping thanks to the adequate height of the tent. The overall material of the tent is satisfactorily thick while providing good protection from water and structural elements such as the poles feel sturdy too. While it does a good job of keeping rain out, you’ll have to utilize the proper sleeping bags for optimal warmth in cold environments.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis tent is pretty nice- it is spacious, easy to set up & sturdy. We got this POP-Up style tent to replace our kid’s old worn out, traditional poled 4 person tent – they are 10 & 12yo girls. It is pretty easy to set up considering its large size – My girls got it up in less than the 3min advertised. It is just 4 poles that extend much like a pop-up canopy, easily a one person job. The seams are well made and taped for durability & waterproofness. The zippers all move smoothly and the high tension spots are reinforced. I love that it is 72″ tall – I am 5’4″ and can stand up with just a little stooping – it is great for moving around inside. It came with 3 mesh pockets pre-sewn into the interior walls, an additional large, 4 section hanging mesh pocket panel and a mesh shelf that hooks to the ceiling to make a wide storage area. These are amazing for keeping smaller items close by & easily accessible. The window flaps when unzipped tuck into a pocked at the base of the window opening – no fumbling with loop/toggle fasteners to keep them tucked away. The base of the tent is a thick tarp which rounds up on the sides about 4″ – this is great for waterproofing & keeping things dry inside in rainy weather. There is a external power cord opening that is raised up above the waterproof floor pan so no leaking thru will happen if it rains. There is no rain fly which is a miss for me – the rainfly’s are great for keeping things dry in the rain obviously but also good for containing heat at night, protection from wind & blocking light in the mornings. This tent is not dark at all – the sand colored upper portion of the tent almost glows in with the reflected sunlight – makes mornings really early and very hard to sleep in. Not my fav part and why this tent is for the kids. If I had noticed in the description that there was no rainfly I likely would have tried a different tent – I think in this price range it really should have come with one. It also does not come with poles for the “porch” flap – this is OK because we knew that & have some from the old tent that work perfect and fit in the carry bag.
I would not say it is particularly light weight but I kind of like that because it means that it is stable and sturdy. I know it advertises as a 6 man tent but that is stretching – like maybe just sleeping bags & people it may fit 6 adults. My girls fit well with two twin size air mattresses, their bags and a 18″x20″ table. They had plenty of room to move around & the hubby & I could sit in there with them. 4 adults w/ mattresses & bags would be really tight but manageable. Smaller sleeping pads would be best if you plan to have more than 2 adults. The stakes it came with are the standard chintzy light metal basic hook ones that work but kinda suck. I used my heavy duty large gauge steal stakes just cause they are so much easier to work with. It is super simple to take down, just depress the legs and fold back up – literally can not be folded wrong, very user friendly. It is light weight and the poles are sturdy enough that my hubby and I were able to lift it up and shake it out which was great for getting accumulated dirt out. We are careful when packing it down so it will hold up well for many uses.
