Probably the best value for sound I’ve experienced at $60. For regular price it’s still pretty great. Very well balanced sound, and is noticably better than a pair I have that costed twice as much
I have been looking for a earphone that has sound clarity without the bass being overwhelming. The bass is present in just the right amount, and the mids/highs are crystal clear. Very good build quality. We will see how long it last.
I mean, they just sound fantastic. The build quality is top notch. The cables don’t get tangled on me. They sound really, really good.
Really impressive sound quality with a neutral response and wide soundstage. Imaging is also very good.
Initial impression of build quality is great.
These IEMs are quite comfortable and fit is perfect. They stay locked in place – especially with the built-in ear loops.
They almost disappear in your ears.
Have already recommended these to others.
Excellent value, the most comfortable pair of in-ear buds. Excellent sound, to the point that i turn the volume low down as compared to others. Worth its price
I thought that these were very good iems for the money. They have sound quality that is unmatched but they are not for me. I like a little more bass when listening to music and to me the ear buds did not seal in my ear very good. They were good but not for me.
I’m very pleased with these, the quality of the build and the sound. A big step up from T2 set I got first.
The wire runs from behind my ear and over without a snag, once I get them on.
My only complaint is that the ear pieces don’t quite sit all the way into my ear canal. I tried the various included options and they’re either too small or too large, so I’ll be looking for some 3rd party foam ones to substitute.
With EQ can sound really good and is nice that it come with different size of ear plugs and a foam ear plugs.
My first pair were my second experience with HiFi earbuds. My first pair were given as a gift, being ZST. These blow ZST ear buds out of the water. I have not experienced the T2’s, but I learned about these through everyone saying the T2’s we’re the best bang for your buck.
My first pair lasted a year. I wasn’t extremely careful with them. I typically use these with my phone at work, and the cord will get snagged on door knobs and yank the cable. I’ve gone through countless cables, and eventually, one earbud just became quiet, and then just stopped working altogether. Not sure if it was from the constant cable abuse, or what. But I liked these enough to buy them again.
When paired with my DAC on my PC with the peace EQ, they are absolutely fantastic. If you want a good quality entry HiFi earbuds, I recommend these. But these are the most expensive ones I’ve tried out of the 3 different kinds I have tried. So I’m definitely not experienced in this topic, but I have used countless different earbuds that weren’t in the HiFi category, and these have been by far my favorite.
My first try with in-ears in lieu of a gaming headset. I only wish they included an optional mic solution. I’m told there IS a cable with a mic, but nobody seemed to be able to show me where. And I couldn’t find it on Amazon.
UPDATE: Had them for a month and the right earbud started cutting out after about 30 min of use. It would die off slowly, so it was hard to notice at first. Then you’d suddenly realize that you had to crank the balance 100 right just to hear that side. Reversed the earbuds to check the cable, but it was just that particular earbud.
HUGE TIP, THANK ME LATER: These things collect a LOT of ear junk with regular use, and I’m someone who cleans my ears at least 2x a day because I have a hangup about ear junk. And you can’t easily clean it out without accidentally “mashing” it through the inner grill which is REALLY bad because you can’t open these things up to undo that. SO – Before you even use them, and after every time you clean them, take a cotton swab and peel off the tiniest bit of cotton. Tuck it in so it sets on the grill. It won’t affect the sound and it will filter out any wayward earwax before it lands on the inner grill.
These IEM’s are truly something every should experience. Before I bought these IEM’s I used the Hyper X Cloud II’s for gaming/movies and it was an alright experience but definitely got uncomfortable very fast and left you with headset hair. Now comparing these TinHifi IEM’s it’s a complete blowout. I can wear these from the moment I start my morning classes and end at night when I’m gaming without an issue. They are incredibly comfortable and the sound quality is also FANTASTIC. They are better sounding in both music, gaming, and movies compared to the Cloud II’s. So I completely recommend these if you are on the fence about getting them. (Also I play shooters/open world games such as Valorant/GTA/Ark and they work phenomenal for all games)
Compared to others I’ve tried which were admittedly half the price, these sound great. It is definitely worth the added expense for the improvement in sound. You can easily listen at lower volumes and hear all the subtleties in music. No matter what you are listening to, the clarity allows lower volumes which prevents hearing degradation often incurred with lower quality earphones.
I’m quite fond of my new purchase. However, when first listening I noticed the sound was a bit harsh in the upper treble for me. My wife noticed the same. Switching cables to the Tripowin Grace (with microphone) seemed to take the edge off, however, I didn’t do a thorough test, admittedly. Do note that I prefer tube amps, so that might explain my fondness of a more soft high end. Overall, they make me wanna dance, so that’s good 😉
While this iem doesn’t do anything special, it’s still an easy recommendation for how much it does right. Bass is beautiful on these, nice loud and impactful with a decent amount of sub bass without sacrificing the mids. The treble might be a little too much for some but I absolutely love it. In terms of sound I would put these slightly behind the etymotic er2se/xr but because of comfort and a better wire I would take the t4s over the etymotic
Overall pretty great for the price. The cable is a little thin but overall feels decent, besides the preformed hooks. Personally they were a little too stiff and not quite the right size for my ears. For most people they should be perfectly fine, but I just used a razor blade and very carefully removed the clear plastic and now they feel very comfortable.
Like the reviews for these the sound is super well balanced and different genres of music will push them to deliver for example generous and clear bass and refined mids and pleasant trebs.
I like balance and dislike embellishment (especially of bass because is muddies everything up). So these are perfect. SUPER BALANCED and capable of extremely profound clarity … crazy right!!!
VOLUME: they are not the loudest IEMs. For example the KZ 10s Pro is significantly louder, but the volume is good – you won’t injure yourself with these WHICH IS GOOD, but there have been a couple times I’ve wanted just a little more.
FIT: For me this is where these fall short. I still like them, but it’s not total package. The included cable has a weird fit – the loop is way too big and hovers above my ear so much that I can place them on top of my ear. The foam tips offer better seal and sound but the cans are thick and so It’s hard to get them in the ear canal. I have found that the medium silicon tips work the best for me.
CABLE: This is a good cable with a good jack. but like I said the fit is off. If it were a tighter loop with a softer plastic casing these would be perfect!
IEM BUILD: These are solid steel so they’re really cool and feel expensive – however heavy affects fit and comfort. IT would take a long time but I could see these beginning to feel heavy in the ear. Certainly not for SPORTS!!! These are for Chillin’
These IEMs are amazing the sound is so sweet and they are very comfortable with different types of tips Only one complain i have is the Extremely Cheap and VERY BAD cable anyone buying them add another 50 euro for good cable and Never buy tangled cable at the ear hooks unless the plastic for the ear hooks makes the round there otherwise very Good IEMs
This is great IEM for the price point. Looks great, solid construction, good cable, good selection of ear tips, and most importantly, great sound. It’s not V shaped as the bass isn’t super boomy but it does deliver nice clean tight punchy bass. If you’re a basshead, you can skip this one. I’m not and I love midrange and vocals so this was great. Vocals are pretty good and you’ll be satisfied with this purchase. This is not the best <$100 IEMs though but rather super darn awesome for <$50 but competition is pretty crazy now with so many options for chi-fi. The sound signature of this follows very closely to the Dunu Titan S with the Titan S providing more clarity and more forward midrange. It's not a night and day difference but it is noticeable.
The combination of hybrid drivers produces great sound, clean and balanced across low and mid frequencies, and bright at the highs.
Lightweight and comfortable IEDs with use standard detachable MMCX cable connectors.
Professional performance and design.
A little tricky to get the proper seal at first, but by trying different ear tips I learned how to insert them properly and get good isolation and more comfort over longer wearing times.
Changing the cables is a bit difficult too as they fit very tight, but I think that keeps the connections more secure.
Using balanced cables with high resolution media is the best combination for even more clarity, detail, balance and volume.
Great quality for the price, these IEDs to me sound better than many other more expensive ones I have used.

Long story short: I love these. They are comfortable, and are tuned well. I have even done some music production with these. But for me, after using them long enough, the tips get so loose that they stay in my ear when I take out the IEMs. Happens with all tips I have tried, and only with this IEM. I keep my ears as clean as I can too. They are built well though, and the cable feels like plastic kind of but I really like it. It works well and doesn’t get too tangled. Especially at a discounted price, I would highly recommend these assuming the tip problem is only with me. I wish I could know if other people have it too. Another thing to note: I cant seem to find replacement filters for these. So thats a thing to keep in mind.
These sound great! These were some of the best sounding headphones I’ve ever heard. They have great bass, but also have good detail in the mids and highs without sounding shrill or piercing, even at higher volumes. I was blown away by how good these sounded. There’s a level of detail to the sound that’s missing in lot of other similarly priced headphones. All the sounds are clear and well defined.
These are light and comfortable to wear. I can leave them in for hours with no fatigue. They fit me like a glove. They basically disappear. I’m also able to lie down on my side with these in my ears, which is a feat most earphones can’t do.
These come with a variety of eartips, but I’ve found the ones that came preinstalled worked best for me. I suppose that’s why they’re the default ones. They work best for me and probably will for most people.
The only gripe I have is the cable can misbehave a bit, but it’s not as bad as some I’ve encountered. So that’s a pretty minor point. Other than that, these earphones are outperforming other sets I’ve had that cost 3 times as much.
These are my favorite earphones and I recommend them.
Cons:
I wanted to comment on the hype surrounding this IEM. It receives quite the accolades in some parts of the audiophile community, such as “the best IEM under $100, maybe $200”. That is not the case.
It is lacking in clarity and detail, there is very little to no soundstage. There are better IEMs in the sub $200
Neutral (depending on your taste):
The T2 is not a ‘reference’ headphone. It is very Harman tuned – it is a very fun & enjoyable sound that is not fatiguing.
Pros:
The build quality is excellent. I have better sounding sets of IEMs, and yet find myself reaching for the T2 largely because it is just aesthetically pleasing. Don’t get me wrong – it does sound GOOD!!! It is a very nice headphone for the $50 range. I just disagree that it is the ‘best’ (especially under $100-$200).
It actually comes with quite a decent cable. The blue foam ear tips are nice. The packaging and presentation is excellent.
For me, the ‘Fun’ sound is nice if I want to just listen to music for enjoyment. It doesn’t get clinical with the music & show all of the details. But is also not exhausting for that same reason. Detail tends to come with elevated treble – which not only can delve into sibilance – but if not can just become fatiguing.
The sound from the T2 is very smooth/buttery. It’s a bit ’rounded off’. Across the board, especially mids and treble, it sounds ’rounded off’. Not necessarily ‘veiled’, just… subdued.
Again it sounds very nice. Depending on your tastes, what you’re looking for in an IEM, or even this particular IEM.
If you want a fun sound, an unobtrusive, non-clinical sound that does not become fatiguing, this IEM is for you. If you want a truly audiophile IEM, this is not the one.
Very happy with these. Sound excellent with a headphone amp/dac. I really don’t see a reason to spend more $. I’ve had various sets of wired over ear and in ear up to as much as 400 dollars. And I’m more than happy with tg sound from these. Plus they are well built and styled.
I’d like to start by saying I’m by no means an audiophile, I just was looking for a pair of nice earbuds with good balanced sound. These are exactly what I was looking for! The build quality is excellent, and I think they look pretty damn good too. Regarding sound quality, they offer very crisp highs and relatively deep lows. Everything I listen to sounds much more crisp and clear compared to AirPods or other earbuds I’ve used.
One thing I didn’t like was that the MMCX cable had a curved rubber sleeve where the earbuds connect. I understand it’s designed to be put over the top of your ears, but I personally didn’t like that. I used a hot air gun to straighten them out (I reckon a hairdryer will work the same) and they feel much more comfortable now.
I’d definitely recommend these to anyone who’s looking for a high quality, balanced sound profile from a pair of good looking earbuds!
I buy too many ear buds at modest price, similar to this TIN. This is far better than any. It sound so much better that I was stunned. Bass is very satisfactory. All my mp3, flac, hi res files sound fine.. much better and a pleasure on my one hi-res DAP, than on my phone. I am using these with the Linsoul Tripowin replacement cable, purchased as a combo. Perhaps part of the reason it sounds so well, however I did not listen at all with the original boxed cable.
I like using for as long as possible until the pads don’t feel well, so those that come with it are not as good as I’d like (and all my ‘stock’ of pads don’t fit this). That ear pad fit and quality, also overall light-weight construction (I hope these last a while) are the only demerits I give this. But then, for price I am not concerned with loss or breakage other than I’d want a replacement right away.
Does following make sense to more experienced users? I think regular earbuds that are highly rated no matter what, do not sound right for my ears. They may measure well but somehow that seems IMHO to a situation that is speaker-like and not of how one hears in the in-ear use.
The TIN T2 is 5-star based as a solid satisfying purchase, not mean to be same as some ‘perfect’ high-end purchase – which I don’t have and have not listened too. I’d rather use these than my quite more expensive Westone IEM, which were my prior IEM purchase – as Westone are for musician’s stage use ,or for audio engineer use, not for ‘audiophile’ listening pleasure.
I’m not an expert on IEM’s by any means; this is just my second IEM purchase. My first IEM is the Moondrop Aria and for the $80 asking price I was blown away by it. I couldn’t believe how BIG such a tiny, inexpensive device could sound. I was immediately hooked because I realized what a phenomenal value this type of headphone device is and so I bought the TINHIFI T3 Plus.
Personally I find these to sound very much like the Aria. My first impression was that MAYBE I was hearing a bit of a bump in the bass by comparison to the Aria but I’m not sure. The price is the same as the Aria so they’re both a great choice. I like the aesthetics of the TIN very much, and the stock cable is much better than that of the Aria. At this point I have to wonder not only how much better it gets as the price goes up, but also what is possible on a cheaper level. I bought a $50 pair of final E3000 but haven’t listened to those yet.
I’m primarily an over-ear open back headphone guy with a modest collection of Audeze, Focal, Sennheiser, HiFiMan, Dan Clark Audio, KEF, and Sony but the IEM world interests me because of the value. I’d never have thought terrific sound could be attained for under $100. It’s mind boggling. Give these a listen!
Moin!

I bought these on September 26, 2021, so I waited a couple of months before posting a review of these. I’ll start first by saying these were my first real IEMs, and the reason for purchase was that regular headphones were giving me a headache after prolonged use, gaming sessions etc.
I use these exclusively now (especially in summer so my ears can breathe).
Pros and Cons:
+ Awesome build quality (metal housing), while staying super lightweight
+ Very good sound quality for the price, for a mid-range IEMs
+ The memory foam earbuds are top notch and you won’t ever want to wear anything else
+ Very comfortable over the ear and you don’t feel the cord like some other products, it basically feels wireless
———–
– The stock cable was garbage and wouldn’t plug in the connector out of the box
– The silicone buds are pretty low quality and cause irritation
– With enough time the earbuds slip out of the housing when you try to take the IEMs out of your ears sometimes, so I had to clean it with IsoAlc to get it to stick
I use a FiiO K5 Pro for volume adjustment, so I can’t comment on how quiet/loud they are if plugged thru the PC itself, sorry
These look awesome! And really wanted to like them more but for me the fit is weird for my ears and causes discomfort after 20 minutes..I’m no expert and everyone is different when it comes to sound..I compared these to my ZS10 pro and for me the zs10 has more power (probably from the drivers? ) I am just using a Dosmix dac dongle from my s21fe..these do have a nice sound but I recently got the moondrop starfields and compared..the starfields sound way better to me..so I’m sending these back and keeping my moondrop and my zs10 pro for now..but give these a try and if you don’t like you can always send them back..they are very good quality in build..and sound good..still new to the iems..so take my review with a grain of salt..everyone is different..and I know the moondrop starfields are like $40 more so for the price of these it’s very good..
I bought these because of several recommendations, I was looking to make an upgrade from the standard IE4’s ( sent with Sennheiser’s ew300 ) without upgrading to full on customs (“yet”)! If the IE4’s are $50/60 and the Tin T4 are $100/110? It is my belief these are almost twice as good! Personally I have very small ear canals and with the smallest buds they did fit with some comfort. ( i had already planned to make custom molds with “Radians” ) comparatively these shine, I am a singer in a cover band so I was looking for IEM’s with a somewhat neutral response. I think that is what I got. These are not overly bass ‘y (i dont need to hear the drums in my ears ) bass gtr comes through nicely, the mid’s and highs and separation of all is a leap above what I had been using. Overall I am super happy with this as a step up. Only complaint I have is the “ball” for the “Chin Strap” ( i dont know what to call it when its on the back of your head ) is pretty loose and dose not stay in place but I had planed to upgrade the cable ( mostly just to have another cable but that would be another reason to get a better cable ??) For a budget IEM? this is pretty dang good at this price point! I would not consider myself as an Audiophile just a average joe who has been singing in a rock and roll band you 20+ years and cant justify hundreds of dollars for customs. BTW the pic is after/with the DIY custom radians.

The Tin T3 Plus are absolutely incredible. If you’re a value audiophile looking for best value for buck, or if you own $1000 IEMs looking for a cheaper set to take on the go without sacrificing much, these are it.
IMO, the best budget IEMs are the Blon BL-03 and the Tin T2. The Blons have absolutely remarkable tonality and are such a joy to listen to. The Tin T2 are also great, and have an airy detail and resolution that made them the must have budget IEM for years. The Tin T3 Plus has BOTH. It has the warmth and timbre of the Blons, but also the detail and airyness of the T2. So if you ended it right there, you have an exceptional IEM.
But it doesn’t stop there. The Tin T3 Plus takes it to the next level. The $200-$500 IEM level. What exactly defines this? Punch/slam, instrument separation and imaging. While the Blon BL-03 has outstanding frequency/tonal balance, the driver just isn’t good enough to layer sound and deliver the punch of a more expensive set. It has limitations. That’s why you spend on a pricier set. To get vocals that are distinctly separate from the instruments. The get crystal clear imaging, and kick drums/808s that really have impact. I am BLOWN AWAY by what the Tin T3 Plus offers in this area. Instruments are layered, there’s great punch. Sure, a $300 set will do better, but the Tin T3 Plus closes the gap from the Blon to those pricier sets.
Finally, the fit and design. They look high end and they fit incredibly secure. I have more expensive IEM cables and the stock cable here doesn’t diminish the sound at all. It comes with a good amount of tips, though I am a sucker for Tin’s blue foam tips and own several pairs of them. Finally, these are very easy to drive and can easily be driven by a headphone jack/dongle.
Overall, you’re getting a very VERY good IEM for the price. They’re basically a Blon BL-03/Tin T2 mashup but refined quite a bit with much more technical prowess. If you own the BL-03 and jump up to a $200 set, you will see a difference. If you have these, that difference is cut considerably.
I think these are the PERFECT IEMs for budget consumers who want a little bit more and also those who own $800 sets who want something to beat around on the go, that are easy to drive, while not sacrificing much performance. I think both sides will be very happy with this set.
I listen to classic and progressive rock predominantly. I have always found Tin T2’s to fit perfectly to my music taste and they have been my main earphones for 4 years straight. One of the annoyances I had with the T2’s was the MMCX connector and it loosened up fairly quickly, causing disconnections. I had to superglue the IEMs to the cable to get rid of that.
The first welcome change in with T3 Plus’s is the much more stable two-pin connector. A disadvantage of this connector is that the drivers cannot spin around the connector anymore as it’s not coaxial, but I don’t mind that because these headphones fit my ears perfectly and the attack angle is just right. This is Tin HiFi’s first ergonomic IEMs and I think they really did a great job. Their original metal designs, although very premium-feeling, were a bit uncomfortable for my ears. In T3 Plus’s, almost all of the weight is handled by the drivers themselves and the hook, the rest of the cable just disappears. The cable itself is nice, not as nice as the T3’s though. But the added benefit is much reduced weight. Its color fits the IEMs as well, which I love.
They sound great. I am no audiophile and I don’t even know what different frequency ranges are called. To me, the overall sound profile is similar to the T2’s (presumably due to the single driver configuration). I like these a bit more and they feel a bit more relaxed. Again, for my music taste these sound awesome. I wouldn’t say they are balanced, but they sure sound fun and makes my music enjoyable. This is all that matters.
At time of this review, these cost 69$ (10$ less than Moondrop Aria’s). Aria’s have a good reputation but I haven’t tried them. If you loved what T2’s did, I think these are no-brainer for 20$ extra and, in my opinion, are the obvious upgrades to the T2’s with better sound, ergonomics, and connector.
I have large, deep ear canals. These IEMs are bad until you get a good fitting tip that keeps the sharp edges away from your skin, and provides a proper seal. I do not like foam tips. For me, the solution is Spinfit CP-145 Large. Love the cable.
As for sound, much better for vocal or spoken word. Audiobooks and podcasts. Paired with a Fiio BTR5 and lossless streaming they are decent for music. Isolation is ok. My wife can hear them while on a moderate volume, but I can’t hear her, which to me is a win/win. 😉
(update to 5)
Out of the box, I handled very carefully. I heard that both sides worked with more nuances picked up on through them, and then all of a sudden, the left side seemed to suddenly fail. After sleeping on it with using a friend’s spare cable to test, the company was prompt in returning communication after I contacted them, and during my setup to record my issue, that was when I suddenly found and understood that the earpiece connectors ARE supposed to click into place audibly. Given the amount of force it took to do that, I feared that I would damage the cable or the left earpiece. Will see about the cable stresses from this point onwards on that side.
Between using a 3.5mm to Lightning connector for my iPhone, as well as using a small lossless player, I am picking up on more than my wired EarPods were demonstrating. For entry into HiFi listening in the small earbud form factor, this may prove to be a good first step on price if the build quality on the buds and the cable hold up well.
I’m mostly just here to whinge about the cable. It’s really bad dude, at first you’d think “Hey, these are like braided. My iPhone headphone cables aren’t braided. Neat! Braided = Reliable!”. But the problem are the connectors. I think I had my connector for the left driver kink out like a month in? I didn’t really notice, I thought the drivers were defective.
After upgrading the cables to something more substantial, it’s like these things got a new lease on life. I’m no audiophile, but the cable upgrade almost gave these things a much larger presence? I dunno.
But the thing that really helped the most was actually EQing the T2s, I upped the bass using a USB mixer-audio interface I had laying around and these things sound really good. The lows got way more punchier, while I maintained the highs just a bit higher, which made these IEMs way more fun to listen to.
I have headphones 10 times the price, but these are almost as good.
I am so pleased with the T3. The soundstage is awesome for in ears, even better in my experience than my FIIO FH7. Sure, the base falls short compared to the FH7, the rest is very good.
Just shove ’em deeper in your ears and there’s that extra base you needed.
Highly recommended.
Excellent build and great sound however can be had much cheaper from ali express
The t3 sound great, mid and high hit the right notes however not much in the bass department. They are quite small so if you have big ears like me they don’t fit straight away and need to be adjusted a few times
I was dubious about ordering a pair of headphones At (70) When I normally spend all of (15) on them I ordered them at 03.00 on the 9/7/21 and they were with me on the same day at 1 o’clock that’s quick in any ones book if you are like me and love listening to music and your on a budget take the plunge get yourself a pair you won’t be disappointed
First of all I want to address something up front. My Tin T4 came in a white box, not a black box. Everything else was identical except for the cable. It’s not the same cable that’s pictured or that you’ve seen in reviews. In my opinion, it’s an even better cable. It’s a 4-core or 6-core braided cable with a 90-degree 3.5mm plug, but it feels very nice and is very flexible. The terminal is not as beefy as it is on the pictured cable, but this is a small gripe because this cable is seriously very, very nice. Additionally I found the mmcx connectors on this cable to be buttery-smooth and had no difficulty getting them connected properly.
Sound quality is superb. Beyond superb. These IEMs have the widest soundstage I have ever heard on am IEM and they really let everything breathe and sound fantastic, particularly on very fast or very complex tracks. The detail is amazing, especially at this price point. These produce some serious details. Additionally, instrument separation is extremely impressive for a sub-100 dollar IEM. I mean really, there’s nothing these little IEMs can’t handle.
Let’s talk about the low-end for a little bit. You read a lot of reviews stating that these don’t have enough low-end for a basshead, and that may be true. But for the average listener I would say this low-end is more than enough to be satisfying. Kick drums are percussive just as they should be. There’s decent rumble when it’s called for — but it’s all so incredibly well-controlled and detailed that it works perfectly. Very, very tight bass with fast attack and excellent decay. There is no bleeding whatsoever into the mids.
Mids are slightly forward without being biting. They sound nicely detailed. Vocals sound lively and superb, a lot of weight to vocals here. The treble is bright and crystal clear, and very airy. These are definitely a bright-neutral IEM and the detail and clarity they reproduce — especially for under 100 dollars — is simply stunning. There is no harshness at any frequency and no sibilance to speak of, it’s a perfect balance of detail and clarity without anything grating happening. Regardless of what I’ve listened to, I’ve experienced no fatigue whatsoever and honestly, the day I got these I wore then for 12 straight hours. No exaggeration.
The comfort is stellar, as you might have guessed by my wearing them for 12 hours at a time. I do it often. I am always listening to music. And everything — absolutely everything — sounds good on these. Maybe some electronic stuff won’t have the bass you’re looking for, but that’s only a maybe, because again I feel that for the average person, these have plenty of (well-controlled, detailed) bass, even with electronic music. These are an absolute steal at 99.00 dollars. Buy them.
These are extremely good sound quality wise when paired with a good source such as a DAP or phone with a DAC playing High Res files from a service like Amazon Music HD. However they do show up MP3 or low res files. My Moondrop Aria IEM’S deliver a better average sound over mixed files but aren’t as good to my ears when it comes to the High Res files.
So my review is based on FLAC files served from my Shanling Q1 and phone with external DAC playing Amazon UltraHD. They have a wide sound stage, detailed reproduction, easily place instruments, bass is just about right for me, not overpowering, treble is at the top end of being good without distortion. However some may prefer to use their music players equalizer to ease back the high frequencies.
Build quality is good but I don’t like the way the cable attaches, I prefer the two pins. However the cable seems to be of good quality. They are very comfortable to wear and I listened for nearly 3 hours at one go without any discomfort.
If I had a lot of MP3s or was streaming low res then I would go for the Moondrop Aria’s but if you mainly listen to high res then I would recommend the T3’s
After a few years pondering whether or not I should jump on the band wagon, I decided to go for it. T3’s with a Fiio BTR5.
TWS headphones never had enough ‘omph’. They all seemed to have to be at near max volume for normal listening, and it’s annoying that there was no headroom. so separate dac/amp was the next move.
I went with the T3 because I wanted to experience multi-driver IEM’s, specifically with the Balanced Armature.
After about 30 min with the Tin T3 at half volume, it’s loud. I’m content to know that there’s more volume to play with too.
Clarity and overall sound are incredible!
Those who say this headphone doesn’t have bass don’t know what they’re talking about. Drum and Bass Legend Jappa with a Flat EQ is amazing sub bass and all. Again, knowing I can EQ the sound a bit with the BTR5 is great! Anyone looking for more bass, better look at big over the ear headphones.
These pair of IEMs worked really well for me and I am greatly pleased with the quality for the price. These pair was perfect for me as I am new to the hifi world but the sound these produced far exceeds the quality of Bose QCs, Jabras , and Beats that I have been using for years and I honestly can’t go back to them after hearing what these can do. If you’re contemplating on whether or not these are right for you and you’re just starting out, wait no longer and get these! The bass is a little lacking but that is to be expected of hifi audio.
Kind of tough to get out of there tightly packed box, sound quality is almost audiophile, clean and clear, works great with my Ibasso dx90, and my Samsung S20+, with my Ibasso DC03 adapter, overall,, great buy for the money!!!
Again this is a review for the Tin T2 for 50 bucks. Jesus these things punch WAY above their price point. My Headphone/IEM resume:
Sennheiser 598SE
Beyerdynamic Tygr 300R
Beyerdynamic DT990
HiFiman 400i
HiFiman Sundara
Philips Fidelo x2
Focal Elex
Ikko OH10 (IEM)
Okay, from a value to results standpoint these destroy all those above titled Headphones and IEM. In respect to the OH10 which retail for 200 dollars and are an IEM these TIN beat their ass, steal their lunch money and steal their girlfriend.
As far comparing them to the Headphones these are more narrow but for the vast majority of those headphones these TINs are more clear and detailed. In respect to comfort for me personally I’m always going to gravitate to headphones just because I just can’t get used to things being jammed in my ears, but if you’re the type that gets hot an IEM solves that since you don’t have earpads obviously.
The sound is rather neutral and these aren’t going to shake your head with bass but it does have some punch to make those tracks lively. Overall I enjoy them for music listening on any device. They can be symbolent on some tracks just a warning to those sensitive to that. They sound good off my Fiio K5 amp/dac and on my phone.
I’m also an avid gamer on PC. These have been quite impressive on that front as well. Again, these don’t soundstage as well my 598 or DT990 but it’s also not huge leap between them either. What I do notice with the smaller soundstage is better imaging/separation of sound. Also with a more narrow soundstage and imaging I can hear those footsteps better than on a more open soundstage.
Finally the cable; it’s damn good too and better than the 200 dollar Ikko 10 cable. Buy them you won’t be disappointed. It’s going to be 50 dollars well spent!
This is a review of the standard/original Tin T2 – not the T3 or T4, not the Pro or the plus or whatever. T2 Classic. The others are entirely different models. Of course Amazon is consolidating reviews of all of them under one product page, which is extremely confusing.
These are just excellent all-arounders and an outstanding value. The signature is pretty neutral, with good detail in the mids and minimal fatigue in the upper end. Bass freaks will not find anything to get excited about here, and there’s no bass boose. But bass is still substantial and tight, with moderate sub-bass and no offensive boominess in the midbass. These handle all genres of music deftly and don’t really suffer from low quality sources.
The build quality is very solid, with a nice detatchable MMCX cable and durable housings. The fit is comfortable though they really need to be worn over-the-ear for the best stability and seal.
In terms of improvements: Nothing, really, at this price. These aren’t what you’re going to go for when you want to be blown away by some technically incredible hifi recording, but they’ve got it all over the competition at this price point, and they blow away what most mainstream users would be accustomed to. You’d always like some more resolution, a bigger soundstage and more precise imaging, but those are premiums and at this price, it’s more than enough to just do the fundamentals right (and most don’t even do that). I own a few other pairs of IEMs, and they’re all more expensive, and these are still what I use most often.
So tl;dr: Are you a musician or a producer? Get these. They have a very flat, accurate frequency response. Are you just wanting some solid IEMs for casual listening? These are great, but you’d probably be more satisfied with something else. I recommend the KZ ZS10 Pros.
Okay, longer review:
I’m looking at these from two perspectives: both as a musician, and as a consumer of music.
First, as a musician: these are killer IEMs. They have a very flat sound profile, a very neutral frequency response. As such, they present the music as it truly is, or at least, as close to that as you’ll get for roughly $50. They don’t color the sound too much – they’re not boosting the bass or treble at all, really. They are therefore practically MADE for musicians and producers. Playing guitar while using these as monitors is wonderful because they present my guitar tone ACCURATELY. For practicing, gigging, mixing, or composing, these WILL be my go-to IEMs for the foreseeable future.
Okay, as a music “consumer”: these sound great, but most people will probably want a little more bass. The T2s present bass tones very CLEARLY, but not particularly powerfully or punchily. I will say listening to something that’s really mids-y or vocals heavy, these are KILLER. But if you’re hoping for big bass, you should probably look elsewhere. Most tracks I listened to testing these, regardless of genre, just felt a little lacking.
I recommend the KZ ZS10 Pros as an excellent alternative to these for someone just looking for really great IEMs around $50 for listening to your tunes. The ZS10 Pros color the sound a bit more: bass is more prominent, but it doesn’t drown out the mids. Punchy, but not booming, in other words. They just have an overall warmer tone than the T2s, and most of the tracks I listened to in testing both IEMs, I preferred on the ZS10 Pros.
So yeah. The Tin T2s: Great musician’s IEMs, just pretty good listener’s earbuds.
Oh, I will add this: the T2s fit and build quality are excellent. They really seal nicely, at least for me, particularly with memory foam tips. No complaints there.
very pleased with these headphones. can wear all day and my ears dont get tired. would recommend and buy again!
I watched and read numerous IEM reviews and finally settled on these vs some 10x or more the price. Z-Reviews was the clincher for me.
What I like: obviously the price! Sound quality – these sound nearly as good (minus the bass response) as some of my “cans”. Ease of driving and use. They sound fine out of the 3.5mm jack on my computer and iPad, but really shine with either of my DACs in between (my Dragonfly Cobalt sees the most use with these lately).
What I don’t like (to some extent): the way the wires go over my ears. The cable is not well formed for human ears and even when sitting still, I find myself adjusting them frequently. Bass is certainly not the way these are tuned; bass is existent but certainly not bass forward. The case: I wish it came with a more portable case. Any of my dislikes are quickly done away with when I recall they came to my door the day after ordering and paid just a shade over $50 including tax…
THe packing of the product is a good start already. It’s a beautifully crafted and printed carton box with a brown (artificial?) leather box to store the headphones. The build quality of the earplugs looks very sturdy as they are fully out of metal. THe design is nice as well. The cable quality looks visually fine, but i do not have long term experience yet. At least can the cable be easily exchanged. The fitting of the earplugs will take some time. I started with the medium sized transparent plugs, but they did not stay in place very well. The small ones were too small and the big ones too big. Luckily did the soft foam tips work well. THe low frequency response is extremely dependent on the fitting of the plugs. With the soft foam tips, the bass response is good: fast, dynamic and relatively dry. I listen on a PCM-D100 recorder typically with 24bit/96kHz FLAC files. THe amount of transparency and stage that you get out of the T4’s is amazing. When i compare with my DT990Pro, i found out that my 990 was a lot less flat in response than i thought. With Metallica you hear a clear separation of instruments like i never heard before. Jazz like Gregory Porter sounds thinner than i am used to, and the warmth of the singing voice is missing a little. Equalizing the middle frequencies slightly down helps a little. THe true strength of the T4 shines with classical music like Yo-Yo-Ma Six Evolutions…it’s a joy to hear and every single detail is transferred so incredibly well. Much more detail than my 990’s which i still love by the way. All in all i am really happy with the T4, from packaging, build quality to sound. With just a few days of hearing experience, i would say that the T4 strength is definitely with classical music and pop/rock more than warmer jazzy/bluesy sounds. I may need to experiment more with the silicone tips to find different sound profiles. I can definitely recommend the T4’s, they give tremendous value for money.
Once you figure out how to adjust the iem by using the foam tips, everything falls into place and the sound quality becomes what you hoped / expected.
I am new to Iems, but not headphones.
The clarity and detail on these are something I didn’t know was possible.
I thought the bass was nonexistent but once I put the larger grey foam tips they came with it magically appeared. Love the sound, definitely buy these. Not for a bass head at all but well rounded
I am completely amazed by the sound of these earphones, I am not an expert but I am sure they perform much better than some other fancy options. I am very happy with my purchase.
Superb earphones. High-quality construction. A tight seal with the earbuds is important. Otherwise, they sound ‘hissy’. Good idea to turn on the radio or tv, then try different earbuds. Then choose the pair of buds that block out most or all sound.
Of the two Bluetooth ‘modules’ bought, the *KZ APTX HD Lossless Transmission CSR8675 Bluetooth Module* (search here on Amazon) delivers incredibly good sound quality.
So I often have a habit of buying a pair of earbuds or headphones regardless of being junk and decided to step up my game and order a pair of these based on ZeosPantera’s recommendations. These are an older recommendation but are pretty much a default standard I’d believe in since the testimony came from a reputable enthusiast. I enjoy rugged things with attention to ergonomics so the T2’s already got my preapproved reception.
But that’s not how I’m going to approach the rest of this review. I’m going by a couple of overarching factors.
Factor #1 – These being my first IEM’s ever so minimal enthusiast jargon
Factor #2 – Exclusively out-of-the-box review with no adjustments
I’ve used the Tin HiFi T2 standard models for almost a full week and have certainly burned-in the hardware to get a good impression of what exactly I find and what I end up enjoying or not enjoying, I’m not an “audiophile” to which I hate that term but will use per orthodoxy, but my overall outlook is very positive. I can’t secure a 5/5 rating until I’ve put some considerable mileage into these.
Presentation: I love that for fifty dollars the presentation is certainly well over what equally priced JBL or other common brands put out as first impressions. I’ve watched reviews of even cheaper IEM’s and they all have the same courteous presentation regardless of how much they cost, so I won’t add any more to it than it’s easily reusable but certainly stationary.
Look, Feel, Comfort: The units proper are tiny but very lightweight, being made of aluminum they weren’t very cold out of the box or after a night of being put back into storage. They are almost entirely made of metal except for the resin bands that make up the left/right markers, and the wire is a braided series MMCX coated in what feels like TPU with all the travel you need to wrap it over-ear. The material of the wire isn’t harsh nor does it get hot after extended use. The 3.5mm plug is gold with a laminated faint carbon fiber accent. I don’t see the benefit of such an accent but the built quality is there so it doesn’t affect me either way. The foam tips were not my size, I use the medium-tips these came packaged with and while they are cheap feeling they aren’t horrible and do fit the shape of my ears enough. I have no fatigue after extended use, but my outer ear canal does itch after about two hours so later on I will purchase another set of tips to mitigate this.
Overall Audio: I have to point out in this part of my review that these are my first IEMs and am gonna keep things a bit more concise here compared to the first half. Low ends are very lively and have enough pronunciation on mellower volume settings, mid-ranges are strong on all fronts and even out on lower volume outputs, and the higher end is boosted thanks to the aluminum build and dual drivers. Reviews have criticized the treble but of my sound profile this is almost a non-issue, I just wanted a decent experience without breaking the bank and these had met my expectations as per ZeosPantera’s review.
~~
Overall I am happy -so far-, I am not going to make a habit of collecting these and want a rugged pair that’ll last and after nonstop use for half of a week I’m hoping the trend keeps up.
The first thing I did was to buy a balanced cable to replace the standard lead which came with these. When plugged into the 2.5mm socket of my Fiio M9 player I heard the best sound quality I’ve ever experienced from a set of earbuds, not that the unbalanced sound was exactly poor but I’ve always wanted to find out what difference I might find. The answer is, more volume and better stereo separation.
Whichever way I listen, I can make out individual instruments where previously I’d just get a mess of sound. I have good quality headphones but they’re not always convenient to use, and I’d rate these IEMs as being headphone quality.
I’ve been able to compare these against another similarly priced set of IEMs, the Fiio F5, and the difference was immediate. The T3 sound is much more even where the Fiio is harsher.
As for comfort it’s mainly down to the choice of ear tips, and you need to pick carefully. I do like the foam tips (2 pairs supplied with the T3) but the inconvenience of getting them to sit correctly in the ears can be an annoyance. Whichever tips I use, the sound quality doesn’t seem to suffer.
Buy a balanced cable if you have that option, but even without it you’ll not regret your purchase.
