How to use them:
Attach tips. Plug the MMCX cables in (Look for indicators of left and right as not to mix them). Plug into source.
Wrap the cable from behind your ear, over the front and push the IEMs into your ear.
The stem/thigh (long part at bottom) of the IEM should be away from the top of your ear, not touching/near it.
Pros:
– They sound clean, precise and have a wide soundstage, so it avoids sounding cramped.
– Their design and usage for me personally revealed more details of songs, whether it was the ability to hear quieter parts without as much effort, or the IEMs positioning audio around me, which was incredible.
– The foam tips included are comfortable to the point of me not being able to notice them in my ear after long sessions (Often times, I’ll use them for 10+ hours straight).
– The sound isolation with the foam tips is amazing.
– Cable is B+, as it’s strong and light, while also utilizing the MMCX connector, so you can use it with other IEMs if you wish. It also terminates to a 3.5mm plug, which is great, because I don’t need to use an adapter to plug it into devices like my phone.
Cons:
– For me at least, none of the other included silicon tips were worthwhile. They were both uncomfortable and changed the sound signature in a way that ruined the clarity, pushing a more bass heavy sound signature, which muffled the sound (Although, this is ultimately down to preference for sound signature)
– As great as the foam tips are, they’re foam tips, which means they get dirty real easily. I unfortunately (as gross as it is) have very oily ear wax, which turned these blue tips into more of a… gross yellow tip. (To clean them, I just grabbed some slightly damp cotton swabs, and gently wiped them down, letting the tips dry before using again)
– The foam tips are a bit… cheap. They fit great, but they also don’t have a groove in them to let them sit as flush as possible on the earphones tube part, which has a groove. So I tend to accidentally pull the tip off the earphone when trying to remove it from my ear.
– Personally, I had my earphones arrive backwards, as in Left is Red, and Right is Blue (instead of Left being Blue and Right being Red). Now, this hasn’t really affected my experience overall, but it was a little bit frustrating when trying to figure out how they should go in. (Also, it’s probably just the label/colour ring, not the earphone itself being backwards). This was fixable as you can just reverse the cable on the earphones.
Genres I’d recommend them for:
Almost anything. I listen to a decent variety of music, including: EDM (Electronic, Trap, House, all the inbetweens), Rock (both new and old stuff), Metal (both old and new, and even some thrashy/speed metal), Pop (from 80’s to 2010’s), Hip hop, Indie and Game Soundtracks.
I’m happy to say they performed well in all genres I listened to.
However, they work best in genres where the focus is on mid/high range (like vocals, guitars, drums), as they unfortunately are a bit lacking in bass punch and power. Although, they more than make up for it in clarity and detail.
Would I recommend them?
Yes!
These are great IEMs to get if you’re looking for an introduction into great sounding gear. I personally came from Sennheiser HD4.40s and I was amazed at how much better these are. However, if you’re coming from an already great set of IEMs/Headphones, these may not be for you.
This was my first IEM purchase, so I don’t have a lot to compare them to, but I will say that the sound quality is amazing for someone moving up from cheap earbuds, and the price is quite reasonable.
My usual routine when trying out new Headphones is to throw nigh on everything at them, rock, rap, folk & anything else in the regular playlist, these are the albums & tracks I know well so anything different will stick out like a sore thumb.
For sheer convenience I’ve used nothing but wired & Bluetooth Apple In Ear headphones for several years & the T3’s are an immediate sugar detox, they’re immediately bright & harsh to the point they nearly went straight back into the box but, whilst I kept flicking through the playlist I came to Aldous Harding & an album I’d played to death had suddenly become re-worked, running water & panting dogs that had been hidden before were exposed & clear as a bell, Aldous can now be heard breathing & shifting about in her chair on “No Peace At All” & all this with the T3’s plugged straight into an IPhone X, no DAC or Headphone amp which I’m hoping will shift them up another gear.
I’m new to IEM’s & the last time I heard this much detail were my old Sennheiser IE8’s from years ago, the T3’s are incredible value for money & the build quality is immense, my only gripe being the ear tips, currently settled with the Black/Red Silicon ones as the Foam tips are as out of shape as I am, worse still they came off the head unit & got stuck in my ear (tweezer job)
Off to plug them in to my portable DAB & leave them running for 48/60 hours, let them burn in for a while.
Probably one of my best IEM’s, so far. I have quiet a few IEM’s. Went through Klipsch, MeeAudio, Shure, and some off-brand knock-offs. I don’t buy over $100. Of all my purchases, this one is now my new favorite. The cord is fantastic, the sound quality is superb. Bonus, it’s comfortable and doesn’t hurt my ears. Not much to say, except the manufacturer sent me an open box, when I purchased new. The shipment took long due to the pandemic. I won’t be returning, because it seems fine.
Wem die T2 zu flach klingen, bekommt hiermit genau das richtige. Gefallen mir haptisch wie vom Klang sehr gut.
Sound (out the box):
Bass: Accurate and detailed bass, but do not expect rumble or true punch. With these in ear monitors you will hear the bass, not FEEL the bass. (Ex: Clint Eastwood – Gorillaz has plenty of bass and sub bass, which you really will not hear with these monitors. You will accurately hear the notes though).
Mids: This is where you’re getting the best value. The mids are perfectly neutral, detailed and pleasant. Here is where you’ll find enjoyment with vocals, piano and acoustic music. (Ex: Flightless Bird, American Mouth – Iron & Wine is beautiful and neutral. Nothing is too exaggerated and the song is presented perfectly).
Highs: This is a point of contention for me. I find the highs very clear and detailed, but can become painful with higher volumes, although my ears are sensitive to treble so YMMV. Overall, for most ears I think these be very good. (Ex: I Don’t Want to Know – Fleetwood Mac has absurd amount of treble in the vocals and specifically cymbal crashes. With these monitors vocals can become harsh and the cymbal crashes instill fear).
Soundstage: Not very wide. This is a particularly close IEM, but I’ve heard much narrower.
Comfort: The blue foam tips are magical. If you can get the right seal, you will experience what I described above. In my experience using the silicone tips resulted in weak bass and tiny highs. I do not recommend using those, but your ears are certainly different.
Here is the trick with headphones that is often not discussed: Equalizer. If there are any frequencies that you find harsh or need boosting, you can EQ to your desire. If you have a Windows computer, download Equilizer APO with the Peace GUI. Select 7-1 Setup and you find these headphones improve tremendously. Bass is much more substantial, highs are toned down, and mids remain smooth and detailed. Soundstage is the biggest improvement here, which makes all the frequencies have their own range and not crash on each other. With this “mod”, I can 100% recommend these. Break in also helps. For $50 these are some of the best audio devices that produce neutrality comparable to HD600’s without the Sennheiser veil (the feeling there is a veil in front of the drivers). These headphones strike much more, giving detail and clarity to music.
I got around a pair of these after all the raving reviews and research I did online. Story goes that I was in search of looking for the perfect pair of headphones under $100. I read up on these and watched many reviews online. I debated whether these would be the right headphones for me or the HiFi T2 Pro. I ultimately decided that I didn’t want extra high-end since my ears suffer from tinnitus. I have issues finding a good pair of headphones that will deliver not only in warmth but detail in overall sound. And boy..was I in for a disappoint.
I really tried to like these! I really did but unknowingly set myself up for a big let down. For one thing .. let’s get things straight. What everyone raves about these headphones are the ‘phenomenal’ detail in highs. The claims are that they have enough bass or the recessed lows are made up for because of details in the upper-mids and highs. But herein lies the problems it’s all mostly highs. It creates trouble for me since it causes my tinnitus to ‘irritate’ meaning it makes the ringing in my ears only much louder.
Now, you’re thinking ‘why not lower the volume’ because it take away the joy from listening to music turned up. I’m not taking away what these T2s do best which is delivering crisp details in the highs but under delivers in the mids and lows. I had ordered a pair of KZ ZSN Pros which in my opinion deliver a lot more. Just a tad more in the bass without over delivering in the highs. It’s not a perfect sound and the high do have their sibilance are higher volumes. But the ZSN Pros offer a lot more overall at about half the price of T2s. I’m not going to say you should avoid these. I’m only saying to avoid these if highs, treble aren’t your priority. 4-stars because they did what they were set out to do.
If you have a bad recording this will be painful to listen to, not forgiving. Bass a little weak, treble a little forward. Good spacial effect. Excellent cable.
Pros:
– good sound quality for the price
– nice variety of ear tips
Cons:
– deteriorated fast; the right earbud played at a much lower volume after 4 months of use
– foam eartips (the only ones that fit) hardened up from earwax fast and couldn’t be cleaned
– after trying to replace the earpieces it revealed poor hardware as one of the metal pieces broke entirely and cannot be fixed by their warranty.
Update: 15/5/2020. I’ve had these for 10 days and they have really gotten better. I haven’t use them that much. There is a lot of speculation on whether drivers need to be burnt in, but i can honestly say these have gotten better since i have had them. Listening to them now, they blow my cheap Sony out of the water. The bass has come out and clarity even better.
If you buy these let them play for a few hours/days/weeks. I’ve read the drivers get better after a few months.
Burn seems to be real. If they last 2 years, I’ll be very happy. The connectors don’t have any problems at the moment either like the T4’s.
————————————————————————————————————————————
I got these to replace a pair of sony XB that seemed to have some balance problems. I had a previous pair of XB’s which were fantasic, but the new pair just never gelled with me, so i decided to replace them, and after endless reviews the Tin T3’s seemed like the best IEM’s
I listen to most of my music on YouTube in the gym which doesn’t have the best sound recording. These headphones have excellent clarity in the mids and treble, but have a subtle bass. Also worth noting is i’m comparing these to a pair of Sony’s XB, which are designed for bass. At first i felt they were lacking in the bass department, but after a week they sound good.
I considered getting the T4, but on reading the reviews there appears to be a lot of quality control problems with the connectors, so went for the T3.
Everything is good at the moment, but lets see how long they last. My Sony’s lasted 2 years before i lost them.
I’m waiting for the T5 to come out and if its any good, i might upgrade again, although the T3’s seem good enough. Now i also watch all of my movies with them as well.
I have the T2 pro as well as the Shure 215s and I I put these T3 above them both! As a side note: if you have the bluetooth cable from your Shure set, the T3s match amazing with it.
I can hear more detail in nearly any audio file i listen to (FLAC, WAV and MP3).
Customer Service is EXCELLENT!
The aluminum housing for both IEMs is rugged and durable. There are many eartips (large holed with rubber interiors, small holed with stiffer interior and comply memory foam) all of which give different sound signitures and there fore I could consider these earphones slighlty “tuneable” to anyones liking. Highly recommend using the comply foam eartips for more accurate sound.
If you are looking for a inexpensive high quality IEM that does not exceed the 100 dollar range. As a owner of the Philips SHP9300 headphones I can assure you that the audio quality is fairly close. Though it does not have the openness of the SHP9300 it does have the sound signiture clearance as the SHP9300. (though that is not a quote from Linsoul themselves)
For all those who say that theres no mids, too much highs and absolutly crappy low ends.
Youtube has terrible audio compression so I am using that for worst case scenario.
Using “Bass Test – 2,000Hz – 1Hz
From 2,000Hz – 30Hz is where the IEMs are able to play. (KEEP IN MIND WITH YOUTUBES DISGUSTING AUDIO COMPRESSION; IT WAS STILL ABLE TO PLAY BACK LOW ENDS)
2,000Hz is nearly never used for any proper mix and anything lower than 60Hz is for quality Subwoofers the fact it can play as low as 30Hz is respectable.
Some of the reviews also say that after awhile low ends start getting distored, I can only assume that is due to misuse of too high of volume and coils within the earphones warming up and burning out.
These earphones are amazing quality and have great audio quality for the price of less than 70 USD.
I love these. The sound is nice. They have an unusual appearance, which some might not like, but I do like. They’re not plastic so I don’t worry about certain parts breaking. The cord is replaceable if it becomes damaged. The price is reasonable. A good product. I would buy these again.
It’s hard to believe that these earphones can sound so transparent and image so well for this price. I own 500 over the ear headphones, but these little guys are in a similar league. There is plenty of bass, pleasant mids and the highs are somewhat accentuated, but very accurate. The buds and the wires seem very solid and well made. The wires loop over your ears which seems weird at first, but helps to keep them firmly in place no matter what activity. Also they came directly from China, which took a while. But those are small gripes and don’t affect my enthusiasm for these wonderful earphones.
Sibilance is a little high. Annoying at first, but I got used to it.
One of the best value hi fi earphones for the money.
Had some onkyo e700 before these, they were very good.
These just pip them. Better bass and
wider music stage.
The sound of these is about what I expected from the price point. However the cable they include is amazing. It’s beautiful and fluid.
Super Sound, clear and a good bass.
the memory foam plugs getting easly a bit dirty but thats normal, same as others too.
There are plenty differnt earplugs includet, just try which works best for you. The cable and plugs are the best I have ever seen.
for that money you can t buy better earphones
The connector that connects the cable to the earbud housing went bad after only 3-4 connects/disconnects. They would only work in one orientation when I preferred the other. Other than this, great. They’re a little heavy so id recommend looping the cable behind the ear.
I’m not sorry I bought the T3’s. For less money you get the T2 (Not the pro) and you are happy. Spend more money and you get the T4’s and you are ecstatic. The 3’s are unique enough and inexpensive enough to be a must have item in your IEM collection. Good quality build and more importantly, sounds incredibly good.
Nice detail, however a bit too bright for my taste. I prefer warmer tones, just my preference. **update** switched out cable to balanced, they sound much better. I originally thought the cables that came with them was nice, however they sound much better with balanced cables
These are hands down the best in-ear headphones for the cash. I have a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50x and these are nearly a match in clean sound signature, width of sound space, and quality of build. you cant beat the cost to performance, these are so good!
Excellent sound quality particularly at this price point.
Great quality cable which if you bought separately would set you back more than you paid for these IEMs.
Bargain even in these days of Blon03s.
For 65 quid I couldn’t ask for more. Really good iems for this price . Highly recommended. However I have to position them upside down so cable up to have better comfort.
I bough these IEMs after watching a few reviews of them, and I got really interested after more of them said these belong in the 150 category. I wasn’t disappointed. Actually they were even better than what I imagined. I’ll try to describe them as accurate as possible in 3 ways:
Sound quality
– Highs: they sound more than decent to me, the very crisp highs aren’t as pronounced, but the mid-highs are very clear and not too harsh
– Mids: this is where these IEMs excel, they have such an incredible sound stage and stereo separation, it is just a bliss to listen to acoustic music on these. I would compare this quality to the Audio-Technica M50x headphones’, if that says anything
– Lows: the bass sounds very precise and gentle, but it’s a little on the quieter side. After some time I got used to it, and now I find it enough
– Other thing: these are open IEMs, which means there is less sound isolation than usual, and it’s not primarily meant for street/commuting usage. They sound best indoors where is less noise
Comfort
– Earpads: I found the foam tips to be the most comfortable (also they isolate the best), but the silicone tips will do the job as well
– Weight: these IEMs are rather heavy, but fortunately not as much that they’d hurt my ears. I wear them “upside down”, so the cables go around my ear, this way they are much less noticable to wear, and are less prone to falling out
Build quality
– The earphones themselves are made of metal which shouts quality (I love them and their look), I don’t know if anything could go wrong with them by time
– The cables are really unusual with this “braided” look, but they feel and look nice. Unfortunately they tangle quite easily and it’s quite hard to untangle them without paying attention, but if you don’t throw them in a bag this won’t be an issue
– The jack plug is golden coated and feels quite sturdy, but its handle is a little bulky for me
Overall I definitely don’t regret buying these, it’s a pleasure listening to music with them. They are best suited for acoustic music, but they won’t disappoint while listening to electronic genres either.
First off, I’m not an audiophile, but I know what I like from audio. Superb headphones for the price, beautifully packaged and presented. Rapid shipping.
Initially I found the treble a little high for my taste but after several days use they seemed to settle in. I listen to a lot of Classical and Techno and they preform extremely well in both categories. My only gripe is the right MMCX connector seems to disconnect to easily, but I wasn’t used to this type of connection so I’ll accept responsibility on that! One last note, I get a lot of compliments on the overall design of the IEM’s, they look and feel fantastic. To finish, these are superb headphones, incredible value for money! Go on, treat yourself!
I’m in the beginning of my audiophile journey and came across these after buying Sony headphones. For $60 how good could these sound !? Well fantastic! The YouTube reviews I stumbled across all gave glowing reviews but you don’t know until you use them in your everyday environment. To my surprise they sound as good as the reviews claimed, especially with my black dragonfly D.A.C attached! Very clean separated sound with light bass.
For music I’m using Spotify and I have Tidal with the master quality plan.
With the foam tips (they also come with rubber tips) they do a good job of becoming near noise canceling, they have passed the NYC subway (one of the noisiest places on earth) test and I just did a two hour plane ride and in both situations very little outside noise came in.
The cable is also made of the best material for headphone cables. I don’t know what it is but it’s fantastic! I’m keeping these until they break or lose them and when one of those scenarios happens, I’ll immediately buy a new pair especially for the price. For what these can do this price is a steal!
super kabeltje, stevige set oortjes die ook nog eens mooi helder klinken. Ik ben tevrede
I was in doubt when I ordered but when I got them and tried I was amazed. They really sound much better than either of my Bose qc25 and Bose soundsport free and my 1more (the one with three drivers). All my mentioned headphones not even close to the quality and clarity of the sound I got from Tin hifi t3. The first time With those I turned off any enhancement to the sound. Just get a good source (this is important) and wow. Using them at work and I am really happy. I wonder do they have over the ear headphones with closed back? I would buy one if they have that level of quality as those t3.
For being significantly less than 100 these IEMs punch above their weight. Sound is clear and balanced and they come nicely bundled with a good selection of different sized buds to get a proper fit. Construction and cables are great, nothing on these is flimsy or ugly.
The main criticism I have is that the impedance is too low (16 ohm), making them very easy to drive but with quite a lot of background noise if you try to drive them with non-hifi equipment like a Kindle, phone or a cheap laptop (which is where IEMs are most convenient – throw them in a pocket and use them anywhere). A low power player like an ipod will drive them easily with lots of wasted volume headroom. Tin could have doubled the impedance with no problems in usability and they would have sounded much better for it.
Sound wise, bass is present but not very impactful, but that’s a problem common to almost all IEMs because the speakers have to be tiny, so I won’t mark them down for that. Mids and above sound clear, well balanced and spacious, nearly comparable to decent full-size open-back headphones. However you want to be careful about the exact volume you drive them because if they’re just a bit too loud, highs become too harsh, so I find myself diddling with the volume a lot to get the right balance. With higher impedance this would have been much less of a problem, because as-is small changes in volume have such a big effect that it’s harder to find the sweet spot.
That’s all, happy listening.
This is for the t3 version. Clarity is excellent and great detail for this price – however I returned them due to lack of bass. I’m not a bass head but found I couldn’t enjoy my music without the full frequency range. A really well made IEM for the price but look elsewhere if you want something with a bit more low end. If you prefer listening to a “brighter” sound then these are a bargain.
Love the quality and feel and the cable is fantastic.
Doesn’t tangle and sits on my ears perfectly.
The only thing i have found is that the sound is a little on the high side for my liking (not by much) but as i am using them with my ES100 DAC which has an iPhone App (Equalizer) i am able to adjust it exactly how i like it.
Great product otherwise and my music sounds so much better now while i commute to work and back.
The T3’s are totally worth getting. Hip-Hop sounds really good with them. The bass is awesome and not muddy at all. The vocals are super clear and the detail of the highs is something you’ll get lost in from exploring new sounds you might have not noticed before.
The T3’s are worth it! And the quality of the build to the cable is of high standards.
It’s mostly been said – great balanced sound – but you need the 50hr burn in period, and a good earbud fit. I didn’t like them at first, and found them too harsh. Now I love them.
The Tin Hifi T3 are a mostly neutral set of IEMs but do have a high treble signature which might be a key point that someone might either want it or not. Me personally? Loving it! The bass and the mids are neutral and not in your face while the soundstage is not too wide but good enough to differentiate between the different instruments. So far the review neither seems good or bad, because it isn’t it’s upto you, if you want something that doesn’t sound like what i’ve mentioned above, don’t get this. If you want something with great clarity and a rich and refined sound but with not too much bass, do get this! If you can try this before buying it, do it to get an idea of the sound
The sound is really good. Clear and accurate. I’ve heard better but those options cost $100-$300 and this costs only $50! If you want something that won’t get you laughed out of the room by audio snobs and don’t have a lot of money or want something you can abuse like like crazy and not cry when they die then this is an amazing option. They did require several hours of burn in to get them at peak sound but that is typical and didn’t take very long, I’d say around 10-20 hours.
The included ear tips are great and come with foam and rubber. I always prefer foam over rubber as it blocks out more of the background noise and gives a better fit in my ears. On every other earbud I’ve ever owned I’ve bought Comply foam replacement tips for but the included tips with these earbuds did an equally good job so I didn’t feel the need to buy any 3rd party tips.
The included cable on these earbuds is AMAZING. It is braided and comfy and doesn’t at all feel like a cable at all, more like an extremely comfortable cloth string. It also doesn’t transmit any noise to the earbuds when it gets moved/touched. I usually purchase different cables for my earbuds with detachable drivers but I love this cable more than $40 replacement cables I’ve purchased for other IEMs which is crazy because this entire product only cost $50.
Unless you are in some kind of noise isolated listening room you aren’t going to appreciate the finer details of super expensive IEMs that take you deeper into the audiophile world so if you plan to wear your IEMs outside/at work/in environments with noise then the price to performance offered by the Tin T2s can’t be beat and even if other choices I don’t know about might be able to rival it the fact is at only $50 you aren’t going to find anything close to this quality that is more than slightly cheaper. Instant buy.
Because they have the mmcx connection between the earphones and cable, I can hook these up to a Shure BT-2 Bluetooth wireless adapter. Also used some Comply foam tips designed for Beats X that are more comfortable to me.
The headphones sound great, like a lot better than they should for the money, and I’m very happy with my purchase. FYI, they do not come with a storage case.
Firstly the T2 Pros earphones are exceptional for the price, I don’t know if you can beat $60 for such a good sound with in-ears.
I am a professional music producer and audio engineer of electronic music for the past 10 years and want to give a more detailed analysis of these for you audiophiles. Keep in mind that my ideal perception for a headphone is something perfectly flat and transparent (flat is good).
My go-to reference headphones are Sennheiser HD650s, which I have found very flat and reliable. Therefore I will be comparing these to them in terms of soundstage and frequency response.
Frequency response:
These are somewhat bright in the sibilance range, particularly right at 7.8-8khz, however with a lot of clarity.
Sub sounds full yet flat.
Midrange in the broad 300hz area is slightly lacking.
The image attached is an eq curve I made that (to my ears) compensates for the T2 Pro’s frequency response to make them sound flat. (note that the curve looks drastic but it doesn’t deviate more than +/- 6dB from flat)
Stereo imaging:
Compared to open-back headphones, these are slightly on the narrow side.
The compensation for me would be a +3dB boost in the side channel between 100hz and 2khz.
All this said, nothing beats open-back headphones for proper response and imaging, but the T2 Pros beat out every other in-ear headphone that I have tried in regard to these areas.
Additionally these are quite comfortable, come with many different styled ear-tips, and very isolating.
With a bit of EQ compensation, I can definitely see myself using these on the road/on the plane for music production, but not likely for critical mixdowns.
I tested these IEMs with my IFI DSD BLACK LABEL as DAC, and then with my Sony Walkman NW-WM1A.I on
44 balance connection. I also have the Beyer Dynamic DT 1990 PRO headphones for comparison. First, LETS GET IT OUT OF THE WAY.. KZ AS10- is very boomy/bassy. a little muffled. So this IEM is not the best any more!!!( im returning this!!) …. KZ ZSX . great IEM! Well balance.. great bass,, great mids.. good plus treble,, ( im keeping this!),, TFZ T2,, its almost equal to KZ ZSX, with bit higher tone on the mids going towards the highs on certain tracks. , but i would say great IEM also!( im debating to keep it or not as they are almost equal to the ZSX), ,,, Tin T3,, Good Bass, Great Mids,, Great Highs,( and with IFI DSD Hardware Xbass turn on.,,. PERFECT SOUND with great bass!).( im keeping this!)… BLON- 03,,, great bass, great clear mids..good Highs, but for 38 freaking dollars, great sounding overall !!! ( im keeping this!!)..pls note i bought and replace the cables T( trip win 8 cores mostly) and one yin yoo 16 cores, and replaced the tips with memory foams.. except the TIN 3, it came with a memory foam already.. , I like listening to different types of music.. including Hip hop, R and B.. pop music, 80;s!.. dance music, house music, classical ,, at times., new age music., 70s and 80s and 90s bands.. 50s and 60s too My music files are : DSD files, FLAC 16/44, 24/88, 24/96, 24/192. Hi Res.
Treble. I used some Foam to quell the highs and used a little bass boost to get them right. If you aren’t willing to tweak them and are sensitive to highs stay away. great cable and overall build quality is great. After the tweaks I will say that these are the best I’ve heard in their price range. I haven’t heard the T2s which are supposed to image better and have a more balanced sound. Oh well. I got my sits on the P1s.
Really good set of chinese IEMs. Like the cable the best. Solid construction. Just not as good as the Tin T2s for my ears.
Just FYI, if you watch closely, you might notice that even though Tin Hifi T3’s look very similar in design to T2’s, they are actually worn in the opposite way — on T3’s the wire connector faces horizontally forward, but on on T2’s it faces vertically upward. I know it sounds confusing, but just remember that blue earpiece is always left and red earpiece is always right and notice that on product page of T3’s the cable position on a photo with silicone ear is actually different from that of T2’s (they have a picture as well). If you look up “Tin Hifi T3 in ear” in google, you might notice that lots of people are wearing them wrong (the same way as T2’s which’s less secure for me at least). With that out of the way, let’s see some pros and cons:
Pros:
+ sound quality is good. I’m nowhere near being an expert in audio tech, so I’ll just explain my own impression in layman terms (since these are the only terms available to me). I used to use Sennheiser Momentum M2’s in-ear for the last 3 years or so that are in the same price category, their sound is considered ok and I was ok with it too. When I listened Tin T3’s for a while, I realised that in tracks I know there are just some instruments that I simply could not hear before. I switch back to sennheiser and indeed some instruments are literally not there. They arent “distant” or “muffled”, they just don’t exist on sennheiser and are very clear with T3’s. It’s primarily low-frequency beats. It’s not like they are overblown in T3’s, it sounds like they are just added to a tracks that I thought I know pretty well. Interesting feeling.
+ another interesting feeling is that sometimes bass is so impactful that I almost feel like the earth is trembling and it makes me even lose balance a little bit when I’m walking (probably because I’m not used to it). Kinda like an small earthquake. Again though, it does not feel overblown compared to sennheiser. It sort of sounds like they don’t exist when I listen through sennheiser and they are added when I listen through T3’s.
+ build quality of earpiece body seems high quality and robust.
Cons:
– why does the cable have to look like grandma’s fake gold necklace? really? come on, it’s an IEM, not a piece of fake jewellery.
– the fit is very confusing (read above) as there is no one clear way the earpiece is designed to be worn. The cable is, however, clearly designed for just one style of use which on one hand creates impression that you’re free to wear them however you want, and on the other hand there’s only one “right” way. Even more confusion adds the fact that you can actually wear them wrong (blue earpiece in right ear, red earpiece in left ear) and be sort of comfortable with it even though it’s wrong (look at their official picture with them in ear).
– it takes some effort to insert them into my ear. And even after that they still work their way out eventually when I walk (every 500m or so) which’s not terrible but certainly less convenient than some other models.
Wow! Linsoul this company came out of nowhere! I now own 4 of there IEM’s. Coming from HD 600, HD 700, Focal. Can’t go wrong on the sound, comfort, and bang for the buck! Just be aware of the sound signature! T3 are known for there forward sound meaning if you’re into vocal just imagine the sound “in front of your face! lol which I do enjoy! this is not chill IEM’s there fairly aggressive. The mid and bass are sufficient for me I mainly use this if I want to get some intimacy out of the music I’m listening too. Also just supporting “Zios” (Youtube) Check him out! I have never been happy with all the audio purchases and broke at the same time!
For the price the performance and quality materials/workmanship of these earbuds is downright shocking in a good way. The buds look, feel and sound like you spent several times their reasonable price. No plastic here. The earbud’s are made of a lightweight alloy and are finished beautifully. For what you get, they’re an outright steal. Even the cables that come with these buds feel like those found on far more expensive brands.
And best of all, you can upgrade the cables on these earbuds with hyper-pure OCC copper cables (from the the earbud’s manufacturer) for around $30 (October 2019) instead of the hundreds of dollars most “audiophile” cable manufacturers charge. Try them. Unless you’re a bass head who’s only interested in muddly, flabby bass, you’re gonna love these cast metal bodied miracles.
Einfach nur ein geiler Sound…..
Jetzt nach etwa 3 Monaten ist es immer noch ein sehr empfehlenswertes Teil…. und pssst” … ein Geheimtipp……. fehlt nur noch was zu
If you like to listen to everything at loud volume *and* you have the ears of a 20-year-old (i.e., you can hear decently above 8kHz), then you’re like me when I first got these. You’ll put these on and be instantly amazed at how great earbuds can sound. Then, the next track will play, with it’s crashing cymbals or sounds in the “hissing” range, and those will be annoying loud, forcing you to turn the volume way down. You’ll feel frustrated that you can’t turn up the volume, but things do still sound awesome at the lower volume (and these are excellent at isolating you from environmental noise, so that’s usually OK).
My guideline:
1. If you hear weakly above 8kHz, everything at any volume is going to sound great.
2. If you still have full-range hearing, either be ready to listen to *some* tracks at a softer volume, or be willing to do so.
I’ve decided I love these. My wish for the next generation: Same frequency response curve, but cut that peak at 10kHz in half so I can listen to everything at any volume. Some brightness is nice for clarity, but not this much.
I didn’t think it was possibility to get such a wide sense of space with IEMs but here it is. Super clear and punchy detail. I’ve tried 1more triple and quad driver IEMs and didn’t like any of them. This blows them out the water!!
These are fantastic and perform well outside their pricepoint. Sound quality is top notch and the ranges are superb. Very little sound fatigue
As for complaints, I find their physical weight balance to be a little awkward and even with custom earbuds, they tend to fall out quite frequently. They have some weight to them, which is fine, but their awkward weight distribution can make them uncomfortable to wear for long periods.
I’m not an “audiophile”, but to me they’re lacking in bass — which is maybe expected for earbuds of this style —but the clarity of mids and highs is very nice, for the price it’s hard to not recommend them. Also I noticed in the UK most seem to have a low volume limit, these go quite loud.
Pro’s: Build quality is exceptional. The first thing that’s going to fail on these guys are the MMCX Cable connectors and not the body.
The sound…ohhh the sound. Ok I’m no audiophile I’ve been using the JVC marshmallows for a long time….they work and they have a mic so you can take calls but I was getting sick of replacing them every few months due to cable ware. I put these bad boys on and the sound quality was night and day. The only draw back is you are sacrificing bass for sound clarity and detail but boy do you get sound clarity and detail. If this was the only IEM at this cheap price point with this amount of sound clarity and detail I’d recomend this even with all the cons that come with this IEM….but there is another the KZ AS10 you might want to check out it’s $10 more but gives you better base but I don’t own it so I can’t personally attest to it’s build or sound.
CON’s: MMCX cable died in 2 weeks. I fell asleep with these IEM’s in my ears and that was enough to brake the cable that came with them. So your going to have to add $20 to the price of these guys just for new MMCX cables sooner rather then later. Also the blue foams that came with these IEM’s fell apart real quick. You can find replacements for them but that’s extra cost also. But the IEM’s do come with regular inserts also which work fine.
Conclusion: I love the T2 Hifi IEMs. If your real nice to the stock MMCX cable they might last longer then my 2 weeks of usage….but they will fail and that will cost you $20 to replace. The KZ AS10 are $10 more but if the cable that comes with those IEM’s don’t go around failing with in 2 weeks and you want better bass that might be a better way to go. Also note there is a mod for the Tin T2 so make them sound like the KZ AS10 and just looking at them you can tell the build quality isn’t as good as the T2 IEM’s.
Everything’s great apart from two things, the earphone cable connector is extremely loose and will sometimes completely cut audio to an earpiece until you readjust it again but this might be a faulty pair as I dont see anyone else saying about it. The headphone Jack is also very bulky and kinda tacky looking but that’s just me.
Excellent with high quality music, awful with 320 kbps mp3s and lowe
Decent clarity and detail. Light on bass, but what’s there is very well controlled, no muddiness. Highs can be a touch too sibilant/glare-y depending on the source. Decent separation and soundstage, especially for the price. Very nice cable and included tip selection as well. Best you’ll hear for under $100!
A carrying/travel pouch would have been nice.
Have only used a few hours but am very pleased with sound signature. I think they have a little more bass then what I was led to believe. If you are into bass these still not for you. The hook part of the cable is a little thicker than I prefer, not as comfortable as my RHA 750 or my Fiio FH1.
This is one of the best flat/neutral sounding IEM that can beat even shure es425 or Fender A6. It is a hypread 10 mm dynamic Driver and one knowles BA. Sound quality is excellent, 8x core MMX C audiophile cable, metal shell…
Clear bass and crisp highs with nice balance and great soundstage for an IEM at this price point. The quality build and decent cable are icing on the top. Overall highly recommended if you are looking for a high performance wired IEM.
After the wiring to my set of Klipsch headphones started separating at the housing, I did a bunch of research on what my next pair would be. Decided on the T3’s and boy, am I impressed with them! The construction, durability, and sound quality is exceptional! Looking forward to breaking them in over the next few days. Great job Linsoul!
I had had my eye on these earphones for a few months and when they went on sale as part of Amazon prime day I couldn’t resist buying them. They have replace a broken pair of Sennheiser M2 iems, which were good earphones that never really wowed me. Safe to say, the T3s are definitely wowing me so far. The build quality is excellent, with a metal housing for the earphones and the y-split, along with one of the best cables I’ve ever seen on a pair of sub-100 earphones, in fact it’s better than the cable you get with a lot of much more expensive earphones.
Comfort and fit are good, at least once I found the right set of eartips for my ears. I found that the included silicone tips were uncomfortable, hard to get on the earphones and didn’t isolate particularly well. In my opinion the foam tips are the best option out of the supplied tips. Other owners and reviewers have recommended trying Final Audio E tips, spinfits, or Comply tips and at some point I will give these a go, but for now the foam tips are fine.
Sound quality is very good. These are an easy set of earphones to drive, they sound superb connected to my Schiit DAC but also connected directly to my Galaxy S10. I’d generally describe the sound as being balanced, with maybe a slight lean towards the treble. Treble, mid range and bass are all well presented, instrument separation is good and soundstage is quite wide for a pair of earphones, though still not able to compete with open-ear headphones, such as my Hifiman HE-4XX. People who are big fans of bass, and particularly sub-bass, might find these a bit lacking, I certainly wouldn’t describe them as a bassy set of iems, so maybe look elsewhere if that’s your priority. However, for my money they have a nice balanced sound that works well with almost every music genre, they really are an excellent all rounder and I personally have never found a pair of earphones that come close to competing at this price point. They’re superb value for money and I recommend them to anyone who listens to a wide variety of music and wants a nice, balanced sound.
I have been meaning to write a review for the Tin Audio T2s, but I wanted to wait until the point where “normal” earphones would usually break. Update, my T2s are still going strong as my daily driver at work and at the gym.
My review for this product is more for the customer support than the product itself. The two earpieces/drivers themselves have a nice metal finish with a good amount of weight to them. They won’t hang heavy on your ears, but you’ll notice if they fall out when idle. The box includes four pairs of silicone tips and a pair of foam tips. The foam tips don’t feel natural at first, but they do a great job of blocking outside noise and boosting the lower ends, for those interested in bass-heavy music. Last but not least, the MMCX cable that comes with the earphones tangles a bit, but has otherwise been extremely dependable over the last few months.
On the support side of things, I lost one of the drivers when they fell off the MMCX cable on an outing one afternoon in March. I was pretty bummed after this happened, as it meant that I probably had to buy another pair of earphones mere months after I bought the Tin Audio T2s, which I have loved to this point. I contacted Linsoul’s customer support to see if there was anything they can do about it.
Lily from Linsoul helped set me up with another pair of Tin Audio T2s from one of their Amazon fulfillment centers, free of any charges, no questions asked. She responded within 24 hours to all of my inquiries and was extremely friendly each step of the way. Lily has made me a fan of Linsoul for life! I will gladly recommend Tin Audio T2s (as well as T2 Pros and now the T3s) to anyone who will listen, just for the superior customer support. Many shortcomings can be forgiven with helpful individuals, and Linsoul has gone above and beyond towards making my experience with them a great one.
Love the cable, comfort is good, sound using iPhone / Audioquest Dragonfly Red Dac is good. For the price can’t complain.
Sound quality is excellent. These sound better than my other pair of headphones, which are $200 and over ear.
Metal construction. Resistant to impact or abrasion
This is a big one – these headphones cut out CONSTANTLY. Every time the cable flexes at the adapter, it cuts out. Every time it gets the slightest little tug, it cuts out. Then you have to press the cord down into the adapter.
(EDIT: Holy customer service batman! I sent in a support ticket. Their response came very quickly, and the issue was resolved immediately. There is no issue with the sound cutting out anymore)
Get some Comply foam tips and these earphones are absolutely superb. Delivery only took a few days. Very satisfied.
Hard to beat the value for this price. Great build quality and very comfortable.
So I’ll be honest – when I first tried these, I thought all the reviews lied to me and i had wasted my money. The sound was thin and tinny; it honestly sounded worse than a typical free pair of earbuds. I was just about to send these things back when I figured I should try out the other included tips, and also maybe experiment with wearing them “wire down” instead of “wire up” wrapped around the ear like I usually do.
And what do you know? Wearing it wire down with the largest silicone tip with the wide bore (as opposed to the one with the smaller hole in the middle) made all the difference in the world. (I normally always wear a medium sized tip, but for some reason the largest sized one fit me best this time). I’m not an audiophile so I can’t explain it in technical terms – I’ll just say music sounds absolutely spectacular with these. Super-clear, great separation – they’re not too boomy with the bass or too shrill with the treble. You don’t need an amp or anything, these will make even streaming music on your phone sound great. They’re comfortable and isolate noise fairly well (as evidenced by my coworkers having to yell at me everytime I wore these at the office). Unlike other earbuds I’ve tried, these don’t have any problem with microphonics (the cord making scraping noises by rustling up against your shirt or amplifying your heart beat).
Any complaints? My main one is the wire isn’t straight and seems to have a curve near the earpiece specifically for you to wear the wire over the ear. You can still wear it with the wires hanging down, but the curve in the wire sticks out a bit from your face and looks kinda funny. (You can use the cinch in the wire under the chin to kinda pull the wire in a little and make it look less funny). If you do prefer to wear it wire-up, be warned that the braiding on the cord can irritate your ears as well. Other than that, this is a solidly built, attractive pair of phones that sound great and don’t break the bank. I’d easy put these up against my Klipsch x10’s, which also sound great but are many times the price. This is definitely a no-brainer purchase.
This is my first set of IEMs and I absolutely love them. The sound quality was decent by themselves, but when paired with the audioquest dragonfly they sound fantastic. Great range and rich bass, crisp trebels and the sound seems to get better the more I break them in. I am not a huge fan of the earpieces included, but the grey foam ones have grown on me. My only concern is how they’ll look after time…
I don’t know what would cause this or how that would happen but there’s a blue/greenish tint to the silver cable. And it’s on the inside of the sleeving.
I got these as a gift for my girlfriend and she loves them because the housings fit in her (small) ears without hurting.
The quality of materials on these are awesome at the price point, the cable alone could be half the asking price.
The sound signature is balanced with slightly elevated highs and bass, with fantastic detail in the price class.
I don’t think there is a better pair of IEM’s under 150$
I hadn’t heard these before I purchased them, and I purchased 5 of them to be Groomsmen gifts, because I had some very multi-faceted groomsmen, and none of the traditional gifts seemed to work for all of them.
TL;DR – A dual dynamic driver IEM, with neutral sound signature with average technicalities makes for an easy recommendation at it’s price point.
Packaging, Accessories & Build – The earphones come shipped in a white box, that houses a book-style inner box, that opens to present the earphones. Underneath the earphones are a bevy of tips, and the cable. It’s relatively simple packaging, but a pleasing presentation, and suitable for later display.
The pre-installed tips are the actually decently-tacky blue memory foam other reviewers have spoken about. I actually find them a bit tackier than other memory foam tips, like the ones shipped with the Massdrop Plus, or Dekoni Bulletz, and maybe even more so than Comply. The silicone tips are pretty much bog standard for the price point. I didn’t particularly like any of them. The cable uses relatively thin wires to the point where the chin-sinch doesn’t actually hold, but it does look really nice, and lacks any memory wire or molded ear hooks. Also, replaceable cables mean that if your pets destroy them, accidents befall them or what-have-you, it’s possible to source a cheap replacement without needing to repurchase your headphones. MMCX is nearly the de-facto standard for IEM connectors and even Amazon has an abundance of cheap options.
The Earphones themselves feature a metal, and industrial looking design. I actually quite liked it. The design means they can be worn cable up, or cable down, but the buds are color coded Blue and Red with plastic rings by the MMCX connection, and should be swapped to the opposite ear if using them cable down. The Tin T2’s ear-tubes are a decent bore diameter. Perhaps slightly larger than the Massdrop Plus (4.5mm), and definitely wide enough that you’d need the Dekoni Bulletz in Mercury size (4.3mm) to comfortably fit them.
Sound – It’s very neutral with foam tips. I also tested mine with JVC Spiral Dots, and while no particular part of the frequency range seemed boosted, foam tips are probably preferred for a slightly more laid-back sound. I didn’t notice any bloom to the bass either, but that’s my ears. Transients, timbre, detail, and dynamic range all seemed to be average. There was nothing really and truly offensive, but nothing stood out to me either. Staging is decidedly inside-your-head. These aren’t wide and don’t give the illusion of being so, either. All in all, I don’t have any complaints.
Conclusions – So, if these are pretty average, who are they for? Well, they’re not giant slayers, don’t expect them to make your Andromedas, your Massdrop Plus, or even your Kanas Pros obsolete. They don’t really perform outside their price range either. But, if you’re someone looking for:
*neutral tuning, decent technicalities
*enjoying your music collection without getting bogged down in micro-detail,
*something to whet your appetite for better earphones,
*a durable beater for every day use that still has decent sound,
*your first pair of earphones that didn’t come with your phone,
*a reference pair of cheap in-ears,
Then this might be for you. My groomsmen enjoy them, and with the foam tips, there’s enough passive isolation for even use on airplanes.
A note on a few alternatives I’ve tried – The Tin T3 exists, though the balanced armature makes for a slightly different (less natural?) timbre, though that’s also not a bad headphone, I’m not sure I could recommend it over these for more money. I own a modded set of Sony MH755, which follow the harman target a bit better, and have better detail retrieval to my ears, but let’s be honest here, the build quality on the T2 is much nicer than those, and you don’t have to order from Aliexpress, or Ebay.
Short version: Make sure you get the best fit and a proper seal to get the most from them.
Long version: While finding my way into the world of ‘hifi audio’, I kept hearing about how great these were. Up until these I was using a pair of Ostry kc09’s with a 2nd Gen Fiio X5 with a Fiio A3 amp strapped to it and all was well in my world. I decided to take a chance after Zeos recommended them and I figured that I couldn’t go wrong for the price. At first, I didn’t like them. I felt that they were too light in the bass and I found the treble to be painful for me. There just wasn’t enough weight to their sound signature. Granted, the Ostrys are single driver bass monsters. I did like the wide soundstage and crystal clear resolution of the T2 but they weren’t doing it for me so I sent them back. I’m now convinced that I was sent a pair of T2 Pros which are supposed to be more trebly. After doing more research, I decided to move onto Tin T3’s which I love. They sound how I wished the T2’s did but there was something about the wider soundtage and better resolution that the T3’s lacked. Eventually, with a little bit of extra cash suddenly, I decided to give the T2 another chance. I’m now more convinced than ever that I was initially sent T2 pros at first because I liked the new T2s right away. I started off wearing them right side up with the stock blue tips, letting the cables hang straight down. Then, out of curiosity, I tried the ‘put a piece of tape on the nozzle vent’ trick. Whatever. Then, I took the tape off and wore them upside down with the cables behind my ears. Boom went the bass. Not stupid bloated bass but wonderful ‘just right’ bass. At some point I even decided that there was a bit too much bass for my liking that I switched off the bass boost on my amp that had previously been permanently switched on. i don’t know if I just got used to them or what but I can’t imagine wanting more bass. They are perfect. In closing, I would say wear them upside down and get a proper seal. Your world will change for the better. Mine did. I hope this was helpful to you. Thanks for reading
… fr meine Bedrfnisse. 🙂
This is my third set of these headphones…they are simply amazing and versatile…from the wire to the foam ear tips to how deep the music sounds…get these or any headphones from this brand….there is an in depth review on YouTube from Z reviews about these and he links these earbuds to Amazon so you can buy them…his review is why I bought them
Really enjoying these iems. Less boomy bass than cheap skull candies, but it’s still strong and present with the dynamic driver there. Clear mids and highs and a decent soundstage. Not too sibilant for me and I’m sensitive. Comes with lots of tips to get the fit/sound just right. Cable is VERY nice.
Great earphones and very comfortable to wear. I think it took a couple of weeks for them to reach their full sound…but I really enjoy them with the balanced cable I also bought.
The quality of the sound is comparable to noise cancelling Bose QC35 II. A little heavy as you would expect, but they look and feel very robust. The cable they come with is also very good, no tangling and looks unlikely to break. I also bought an additional cable with a built-in microphone to use for calls. The in-ear phones come with a lot of additional tips.
At the beginning it was a little annoying to have to put the cable around your year, but later you get used to it and understand why it’s needed – stability.
Sparkly and airy, if a little sibilant. Mids are forward. Bass has a detailed and extended response, but seems a little anemic–I recommend proceeding with the T2 bass mod since it works on this pair too.
Ordered these beauties after reading a lot of rave reviews on various audiophile forums, Thought they were exaggerated and hyped, but after using these for 2 days, realized that they were quite accurate in their assessment. You cannot go wrong buying these, unless you are a complete basshead. The seller (Linsoul) was very responsive and prompt, and the delivery was also recieved at the expected date.
I expected another Chi-Fi generic headphone, but these sounded great out of the box with no equalization. Bass is tight, not elevated, mids are natural, and the highs are clean, clear and extended. Sound stage is very good with stable placement of instruments within it. I might have to break down and buy another pair…
sound quality is good only problem is the wire is little have, and only has white color. The shape ear piece designed make the wearing little not comfortable.
I recently purchased a HiBy R6 and wanted to try out balanced headphones, so after hours of research I went with these HiFi T3s. They sound terrific (much more so than I EVER thought in ear headphones would/could sound)
Nice tight bass
Great mids
Slightly bright highs (as mentioned before)
The build quality is fantastic but remember if you want balanced headphones you’ll need to buy separate cables.
There might be a quality control issue with these earphones. The first pair I got, the sound was all over the place and the high hats sounded like mashed potatoes with near zero clarity. There was a frequency in the mids somewhere that sounded muddled whenever it was played. It seemed like it was in the left ear only, no matter which ear piece was attached to the left side. I tried all that I could to see if it was me, my source files, my source device or the earphones. After chatting with Amazon, they deemed the headphones were defective (new in sealed box).
This is the second pair Amazon sent and there’s a world of difference. These are well worth the retail price, if they work as they should.
Moto G5 phone: The quality is really good depending on what file I’m playing. Amazon and Google digital purchased files are the best quality. The home ripped MP3’s I created 15+ years ago are a hit or a miss. I may have to rip them again with modern day ripping software.
Nexus 7 2nd addition: Same as the Moto G5
iPhone SE: Mixed bag on which files I play.
Dell XPS 6570: The sound control needs to be configured as the default settings are way off. I turned off the EQ that was on by default and the sound is good. Again, it depends on which files I’m playing and where I got them. Turning on Spatial by right clicking the sound volume in the system tray next to the clock in the lower right hand corner Windows Sonic for Headphones can make certain music sound better.
The fit and finish is top notch. The braided cable is pretty cool and soft to the touch. Taping on the braided cable midway down does produce a thumping sound, but just walking around with the cable brushing your clothing, I didn’t notice any noise from doing so. I think the cable should be a few inches longer. I’m 6′-5″ and place my phone in my rear pocket with the headphone jack facing up.
The ear fittings seem good. My right ear opening seems to be smaller than my left. I’ll need to resolve the issue of the right ear from sliding out.
I used caution when listening to these because they are monitors and I believe they are supposed to resolve more than just basic headphones and instead of question why does this sound different, I pondering if I just didn’t hear that in my vehicle or home stereo, both which are good sounding, the home stereo being much better in resolving. I switched over to Deadmau5 to have a close listen. That guy pays close attention to detail and doubt he’d create anything with any amount of distortion. So I used Deadmau5 (digital purchased) as a reference for sound quality (since my 15 year old ripped music probably wasn’t a good baseline).
Overall, for the money, I think they’re well worth the price. My last pair of in ear was Yamaha EPH-50, which I really enjoyed for 6 years or so until one side gave out.
After doing research on In Ear Monitors (IEMs) I wanted to see what all of the fuss was about, but wasn’t willing to pay a crazy amount of money for them. So I ordered the T3’s since they were around $70 or so. Well worth the money as they sound better than any pair of headphones I have ever owned. Not too bassy and not too sibilant either (my ears are very sensitive to sibilance.)
As far as the build quality goes, these are very good quality – which is saying something when it comes to Chinese products – and the cable it comes with is also of high quality. Only problem is when to want to remove the connectors from the IEMs it’s like trying to pry a toy away from your child. However that might be a good thing as they won’t come out while listening to music as some others might.
Hopefully these last as long as most of my headphones (I still have a pair from 2010) and will be the only pair of IEMs I ever own. Well see…..
I was just getting ready to write a really good review for these IEMs. Then something happened. As I was taking them out of ears, I looked and saw that a chunk of the blue ear tips had come off. It was still in my ear. Luckily it came out pretty easily. I’m not sure how to get a replacement for it. It seems since they are still pretty new that I should get it for free.
They are some of the best I’ve heard. I did still give them either 4or 5 stars in every category. My biggest piece of advice is this: Keep burning them in. I burned them in for the recommended 50 hours and was expecting something close to a religious experience, because of all the great reviews. I was really disappointed. I then burned them in for another 50 hours. They then sounded better, but not as great as I had hoped. I then did another 50 hours. What a difference. The sound was incredible. The soundstage was awesome. It had this way of sounding so much bigger than others I’ve had. Instead of feeling that all of the sound was inside your head, they sounded as if the music was all around me. A truly wonderful experience.
These have a sound of something much more expensive. I own several brands, with some being much more expensive. These held their own against most all of them. At this price more people will be able to hear music in a whole new way. I recommend these as highly as I’m able. Do yourself a favor and buy these. You won’t be disappointed.
Comes with a great assortment of ear tips and the cable is the best I’ve owned
Sound quality is great, could do with a wider sound stage but they’re iems so can’t expect much
I only have KZ IEMs to compare to this so please take this review with a grain of salt. Tried the KZ ZST Pro, ZSN, ZS7, AS06. I have a pair of Moondrop Kanas Pro’s coming soon so I may update when I get those in. I’m fairly casual/new to the hobby. I’m, using a fiio k3, fiio btr3 or Hidiz Sonata II for my audio sources.
Pros:
– Best for clarity with Hi-Res .flac files compared to the other’s I’ve listened to.
– Cable is top tier, although I’ve heard from other reviews that quality control is not consistent.
– Best stock ear tips I’ve received.
– Packaging simple and clean. (Admittedly I think the T2 & T2 Pro had better packaging, but I still use the T3 box as storage since it has a little window.
– A Jack of all trades.
– Staging is adequate.
– Just enough Bass for balanced, with clarity. I have not tried the tapemod, maybe one of these days but for me there’s no need.
– Great for mids, highs are good but with too much power (volume) they can get sibilant. If you want bass cannons, don’t get these.
– My set didn’t come with any issues, I very much so appreciate the build quality.
Cons: (Keep in mind these are more comparative cons)
– Narrower Sound stage then AS06. Staging is still adequate. If you flip the left and right side you may notice an even tighter sound stage. For me it was not pleasant. I prefer wearing them red-right despite the angle change from the t2/t2 pro.
– Weaker bass then ZS7 ( not necessarily a con, but if you want something warm this would not be a first req)
– For me, not as comfortable to wear. Still able to wear more than 3 hours without a problem.
– I’m a treble person but these can be too sibilant for me if I turn the volume too high. Considering the noise isolation is just okay the sibilance/volume combo might not be good for you. If you listen to Another One Bites the Dust by Queen its rather annoying. I usually don’t use gain and keep the volume under 50% on my android phone and it avoids this issue.
Conclusion:
If you are coming from KZ these are a joy out of the box for a balanced freq. response. If I were to improve anything it would be to change the color to completely silver. Cable is still nice but silver or white cable might have been a little more consistent. Also if they could figure out and minimize sibilance at higher volume levels. I would be very interested in comparing the ZS10 Pro’s since they are in a similar price range. Different drivers but from what I’ve read it seems like a good undercutting competitor.
Feel free to ask me any specific questions.
Just received these and the sound quality is good. The only problem is that I screwed in the wrong colors according to what ear the chord was designed for and there is not a way to unscrew them to fix issue.
Update- Seller responded to question promptly.
These monitors are very sharp, both in appearance and sound. They sound very neutral, which will be offputting and may sound hollow at first because they don’t color mid-bass like a lot lower end in ear headphones. The treble is razor sharp and cymbal crashes and high register vocals will at first appear siblant (hissy) but with continued listens that phenomenon goes away for the most part. Bass response is good but serious bassheads will not be pleased. The cable is pure perfection and the 1/8 TRS connector is robust and the MMCX connectors on the driver’s themselves are firm. Detail retention is superior for the price range. Newest editions ship with all of Linsoul’s ear tips, including the blue tacky ones that everyone seems to love.
Overall, this set is exemplary for the price.
Good sound.problem with cable left ear kept cutting out.but cable was replaced.great customer service.
After having used the T2 pro’s extensively, I couldn’t wait to give these a go. First off as everyone has said, the build quality and cord, especially, are phenomenal. The sounds quality is great and largely a preferential thing. I like these about as much as I enjoyed the T2 pro’s. My one gripe worth knocking a star off is that the new over-ear design somehow made these less comfortable to me. The T2’s fit so well that I would forget I’m wearing them. I’ve tried a couple different caps on the T3’s but something about it is just off. I know that earbuds are in, and it begins to ache my ear after a while. That’s a pretty big deal for me, coming from the comfortable fit of it’s predecessor.
I would still recommend. Maybe your ear would not have this issue.
I decide to take the plunge and buy some of these IEM’s from Tin HiFi and I am very pleased that I did.
When I first tried these T3’s I thought that they are much brighter than I am used to, with being a little low on bass; first listen was with the stock supplied cable and the largest wide bore silicon tips, paired to my Hiby R6 which leans towards the warm side slightly, I was surprised that the sound was so bright.
So I decided to start rolling tips and try different cable combinations. As with most other IEM’s that I have these follow the same preference for a quality balanced cable, I think mainly because of the increase in power to the set, though I also feel the balanced output produces greater detail and separation too.
After rolling several tips that I have including the largest of the stock tips, I found the best combination for a slightly deeper bass without losing any detail was the stock white foam tips, or the blue sticky foam tips, both in the largest size for my ears.
I also have the BGVP DM6 IEM’s and these are close to the resolution of these gems, not quite the overall performance, but for the money these are a good second set for out and about.
If you are looking for a some good IEM’s for less than 100, these are a steal at 59. Just be prepared to wait a month for delivery and be willing to spend a little time rolling tips.
My daily driver headphones were/are custom modded Sony MDR-7506 studio monitor headphones. I wanted a back up pair of earbuds and grabbed some $30 sony earbuds. I hated them. I should have gone with KZ’s for that price (also good headphones) but then I came across the T2 Pro’s. After using them for about nine months now they’ve become my daily drivers just because of how convenient they are in their size and how good they are.
First the bad:
Compared to the 40mm drivers in my 7506’s or the 50mm drivers in my brother’s AT M50x’s they lack clarity in the mid-tones. They have less punch in the bass but it is still phenomenally clear. Now this is actually not really a bad thing since they cost significantly less and are earbuds so the fact that I am even comparing them to the larger cans is a testament to these little IEM’s quality. So that’s less of a complaint and more of an observation.
A real problem though is the end of the cable, it’s jack is stupidly big and when plugged into my phone sticks out far enough to wiggle back and forth and take tension loosening the input on my phone. This is a real shame because other than the end jack I love the cable.
The good:
The sound quality. They are CLEAR. Also they are bright as all hell, if you don’t like high end and sparkle, these are not for you. Some would say they border on sibilant. I honestly love them. I prefer a bright sound signature but that’s personal taste. Many reviews will say their bass isn’t that great but I disagree, they don’t emphasise bass but it’s still there and it’s fantastically clear.
The build quality. These have to be the prettiest IEMs I’ve ever seen. I mean it. I love the lack of branding and the blue and red color for the ears. But being pretty is not enough, they are so solid. Full metal housing. You can feel it when you hold them, they’re not heavy by any means, just really solid. The cable is really great looking as well and is extremely well constructed, especially for the price point.
The connectors. Using a standard MMCX connector is brilliant. I love that you can swap the cable on them at your discretion. NOTE: I got a MEE cable because it’s the only one I could find with an angle jack and an inline mic connector and it’s connection is much looser and less reliable, I don’t know if the cable or the headphones are at fault. But in fairness the MEE cable is much cheaper constructed so I’d put the blame on them. I don’t have any other cables to check though.
SUMMARY: for the money these are outstanding headphones. The design, audio quality and build quality outclass anything in their price range that I have found. If you are more sensitive to sibilance or lean away from a bright signature these probably won’t be your favorite, but if you like sparkle you can’t beat them. If I could make a request to the manufacturer my one wish would be for a normal sized 3.5mm jack.
I want to give this earphone 5 star but only for two reasons I am giving four star
-no carry case to maintain earphone.
-sometimes the treble is little high.
-The earphone sounds very nice.
-In my opinion t3 is better than t2 pro.
-Bass is nice.
-separation and detail are nice.
-The earphone is little bulky but does not feel heavy.
-material and wires looks premium.
Please note this earphone is for music It does not have mic.
Overall worth the money.
TIN T3, I had heard about this IEMs before I decided to risk purchasing it (Literally) For a price of Rs.5K its not really cheap. At the same price, I had purchased FIIO F9 Triple driver (which are excellent) during the Republic day sale.
The delivery arrived almost within 2 weeks. TThe packing was basic 3 ply carton, on opening the box, the product packing was covered with the “pimpled sheet” which acts as protection. Then on unwrapping this, there was the box carton, which is minmalistic box with a small cutout which allows one to see the actual IEMs. On removing the product carton, one is greeted with a strong product case. It opens like a book and is made from strong material. on opening this case, you can see the IEMs which are placed on shaped enclosure which have the shape of the IEM. When you remove this top, you can see the various tips, and two pairs of Grey foams. The grey foams are excellent as they provide excellent isolation, my recommendation is to use them instead of the Silicon tips. Also, it has a detachable MMCX cable. This MMCX cable in few words ONE OF THE BEST CABLE EVER SUPPLIED.
I have many IEMS (close to 100) but none came with such a wonderful cable. It DOES NOT HAVE MIC. So people who are interested to use it with the phone to answer calls,,, SORRY. This cable is a music lover dream come true.
What I like about it
a) Packing is excellent, feels really expensive.
b) Construction is SOLID. IEMs are very strongly built. They are CNC machined IEM (not plastic, but METAL)
c) Cable, ONE OF THE BEST CABLE, This cable itself might be worth Rs 1.5K to be honest. There is no cable microphonics (when you hear the sound of cable brushing and hitting your body when walking and you hear it clear and loudly in your ears speically at low volume). The cable is soft, and nice, Really excellent
Mark my words.
Now about the performance.
1. These are one of the best IEM. The Sound stage is wide (if any more wider, it would be the BEST IEM EVER, but that makes me eager to wait for T4..)
2. The IEM is detailed, you can hear all the details of sound, Highs are detailed, Mids are very detailed, Lows are nice. The Bass is nice and Exactly right. This does not have Excess bass. So bass lovers please avoid this, but the Bass is just enough to give an excellent listening feeling.
It is a pleasure listening to these IEMs, one of the best IEMS and at Rs 5K they are indeed a steal especially with the cable that it comes with, that’s clearly worth Rs1.5K.
My recommendation. If you love good detailed music, and you have a good music source (if better source than better results so Flac will sound way detailed than 320 kbps mp3). At the time of writing this review, I am using my Oneplus 3T to play the music, Its from movie Rockstar and Rock on, the music is just heavenly. Also listened to Queen (Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the champions, You’re my best friend) JUST WONDERFUL.
This has strong built IEM which reproduces excellent sound, A nice beautiful cable that does justice to the IEM, A jack that can fit in on phone even with back cover) and all this for just 5K. JUST GO FOR IT. Ignore the cheap IEMS, There are cheaper Bluetooth IEMS, believe me these at 5K are more worth than cheap Bluetooth IEMs and the perspective is IF YOU LOVE GOOD MUSIC, But yes, if you listen to music through this IEM, you will not only Love the IEM, but you will fall in love with good music.
Finally, the seller. Linsoul was communicable and were able to answer all my questions. Excellent service.
Not the best under $100 but definitely top 5 for sure. Very good deal for these at $70. Worth every penny. The cable alone is almost worth the price. Probably the most beautiful cable I’ve ever laid eyes on and I’m quite the cable fiend.
I purchased these IEMs based upon a review I saw on Z Reviews/Youtube. My standard IEMs for years have been Sure SE215s. I’ve found them to be comfortable, reasonably accurate, although probably not “audiophile” quality, and fairly priced for what they offer. (I use the standard silicone cushions, not the foam cushions, although I have purchased the Sure yellow foam cushion add-ons; I just don’t use them very often.)
My first impression of the T2s was that they were heavy and not that comfortable in my ear. (I used the blue foam cushion tips that came with them.) Out of curiosity I took out a scale to see just how much more they weighed than the SE215s. To my surprise (i.e. perception shattered) they each weighed 11 grams. Shocked.
Then it seemed as if the cord was much longer on the T2s than on the SE215s, and it was cumbersome. Again, much to my surprise, the cord on the SE215s was actually longer than the cord on the T2s. Again…shocked.
Sound-wise, I can’t say that the T2s wowed me — at least not at first. While the SE215s aren’t known for their bass, and while the T2s are criticized for their lack of bass, I found that the SE215s had noticeably more bass than the T2s. At first. However, after listening more and more to the T2s, I found myself enjoying the music I was hearing — a lot. I didn’t want to drive myself crazy going back and forth between the 2, which I’m sure I’ll do over time. But given the option of which IEMs to listen to to tweak .wav files for my collection, I found myself choosing the T2s over the SE215s. And for half the price, I’d say the T2s are a solid choice for all but the most critical applications.
One thing I did find annoying was the way the cables attach. Twice I found that one of the cables had fallen out. That never happened on the SE215s.
Two other things worth noting: The 3.5 mm plug on the T2s is considerably larger than the 3.5 mm plug on the SE215s. And the T2s do not appear to be as efficient as the SE215s. I didn’t do any specific tests but I did find that I needed to raise the volume on my laptop from 70% volume to 90% volume to achieve the same listening level.
I am enjoying the T2s and do not regret the purchase in any way. They’re just very different ergonomically than the SE215s and that takes some time to get used to.
Sound is neutral without EQ and separation is good. I use iPhone, Radsone ES100 Bluetooth receiver and balanced cable. I feel comfortable and don’t have hearing fatigue.
One suggestion is to swap left and right speakers. It avoids edges to press ear lobes.
bang for buck one of the finest IEM,s ive listened too, the detail in these is incredible, wonderful lows mids and highs, nothing to dislike at all, would put my shure 535se to shame a sad fact indeed!. buy and enjoy.
Super Verarbeitung und Kabel.
Klang, einmallig, besser als Shure 425.
sehr schnelle Lieferung, 2 Wochen nicht zwei Monate .
