I bought this to cut down a conifer that had died in the garden. The trunk was about 4 inces in diameter at it’s biggest point. This mini chainsaw had no issues cutting through it. In fact I was so impressed iI cut the trunk into 4 inch lengths , took about 5 minutes and it doesn’t feel like the battery is starting to die yet. This could be a dangerous buy as it’s fun to use and I found myself looking around to see if there was anything else to chop( obviously was wearing protective clothing and goggles but it was fun).

At first I struggled to put the chain on which didn’t seem to fit so tried another which fit fine and instructions not Exactly clear for me anyways but I managed to put it together but I did watch a YouTube video but wasn’t this saw.

I was removing two thick rose bushes and roots/rootball and stems (they was so thick previous neighbour didn’t tend to them) and this sliced them with no issues and these rose bushes was thick and wild the root ball one was like a mini football ,so this saved me half the time using a handheld manual saw.it’s not heavy it’s light it’s easy and convient when needed!

For now it’s packed away has no use for it now gardens done but im happy with my purchase.

I’ve no problems and charged pretty quickly.

Cuts well , easy to use, but , yes there is a but . It came with a broken charger plug (see photo ) . The instruction booklet is written in foreign English hence it’s not much use . Trying to put the parts back in the case is like doing a jigsaw with the wrong bits. The screwdriver is a double ended one but there’s only one screw that you use on the saw . You must keep your eye on the chain when in use as it does come loose. Saying all that it is a good little tool to have for those little sawing jobs that need doing. I’ll give it a 9 out of 10 rating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy little saw.

It might be small but it is great at cutting even thick branches (3”) I have used it for cutting back a Willow, not the weeping kind. It just zooms through everything and there are lots of shoots upto 3 metres in length, and that is one year of growth. So this little devil will certainly be busy.

Finally assembled the saw, and used it once so far. Me personally found the adjustable screw a little difficult to tighten as had to use a very small screw driver of my own. The added screw driver was to big to use. Over all reasonable happy so far with this item

I bought my hubby one for his allotment, it is so easy for him to use, I bought another for our son, can’t fault this tool, both hubby and son are so happy, uses it around garden trees and clearing twig bushes. I would recommend to anyone thinking if buying one

will make light work of pruning. however, wrong type of tension tighting screwdrive provided, phillip instead of flat head. Used it several times, saved a lot of time. two chains and two batteries are useful. value for money.

We have an apple tree that has grown from the base into four separate trunks. At the top of each there are many branches coming off. I cut off all these , some 3 inches thick , and still had power left in the first battery. Looks a bit plasticky but it’s a solid tool. More than pleased with the purchase. Tough little tool. Just make sure you tighten the chain tension screw well. My chain went loose at first , then I realised the screw would take another turn. Very pleased though.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a tiny and very lightweight chainsaw and is ideal for pruning and cutting down small trees. It comes with three chains and two batteries so you should get some use out of it before it gives up the ghost but for gardeners who are not going to hammer the life out of it then it should be fine. It comes with a very amusing pidgin English guidebook, don’t forget to splash the battery! There is also a screwdriver supplied that doesn’t fit anything however I am sure you will have something suitable in your toolbox. A useful tool.

light weight so easy to use with one hand. It’s a bit fiddly to put together. I found that putting the chain on the guide and then putting tape round it to hold it in place while fitting it onto the drive wheel and fitting the side plate was made easier. The screwdriver supplied is completely useless as it is a flat blade and the screw to adjust the chain tension has a Phillips head.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAt first sight thought it was going to be crap but was presently surprised. Came in it’s own carrying box. Clasp looks a bit weak but time will tell. Easy to put the chain on. I saw a comment previously that said screwdriver supplied was cross screw and a flat head was needed for tightening the chain however but out the bit from the handle and you have a flat head the other end. Thought that was good. Cut a few pallets with it. Cut through ok. Not sure how long the chain will last but came with three. Not sure how much the replacements will be either. First impression well worth the money. Not for heavy use only occasional but well worth the cost. With the battery on not to heavy. Can use one handed

Used with great success for cutting logs from fallen boughs. Three chains means (hopefully) a long life.

It’s much smaller than expected, but quite good. Did a little hard pruning with it and it behaved well. Fiddly to assemble, doesn’t help that the included screwdriver was a 4mm flathead and the tension screw is a Philips head!! Doh!! Will report later as to any developments, but as now, I’d recommend it.

This arrived in a sealed pack. You have to put it together and add I’ve never used it seen a chain saw before it was a little daunting, however I took my time, tried to follow each step( it could be my lack of knowledge but some of the steps caused confusion) and eventually I completed it.
It’s lightweight, and even though I’m not very strong, I can easily pick it up and use it. I don’t think I’d be able to use it continuously, but I wanted to take some branches down, and I managed to do that.

It’s good for crafts more then manual work. Will cut smaller branches will ease nice a compact. Make sure you you get the blade the right way around unlike me There is a picture to show the correct way (I was just to impatient to read it) it is really noisy but it cuts the time down with clearing the garden etc. it’s handy it comes with its own case and spare blades

Didn’t really like the idea of assembling this myself so passed that job over to hubby and although a little fiddly he felt it was pretty straight forward and was pretty quick then when changing the chains to test them out. It’s pretty decent for it;s small size and is great for when you don;t need a full sized chainsaw or just for doing little bits and pieces around the garden and is handy having two batteries. Seems pretty well priced compared to similar too and has decent build/quality so would recommend.

This was perfect for my needs. It is light weight and much easier to use than my clippers, with far less effort. It comes with toolbox, 3 chains with guide plate, 2 batteries, a charger, wrench, screwdriver, as well as a user manual.

I’ve used this on my berry bushes, pruning my fruit trees, etc. I haven’t used this to cut wood or cut down any trees. I honestly would imagine you would want a larger chainsaw for that. But for my purposes in my yard this is perfect.

This mini chainsaw does a great job and is very easy to use. I used it to cut some tree branches in front of my house, and it works okay. The quality is very good for a budget tool, the handle and the grip are excellent, it is lightweight, and the mini chainsaw has plenty of power. Installing the chain was extremely easy, and I was pleasantly impressed with the battery life. Overall, this mini chain saw cuts through mostly everything I used it for and is definitely a good value for the money.

a very handy tool to have , compact and coming with a case too very good for keeping everything organize and tidy in one place between the use . the case is sturdy and well made with a handle on top for easy caring around , founded a bit tricky to put the accessories and the tool exactly in the same place but I managed in the end , I will suggest maybe just a plain case inside , however the tool itself is good , a bit heavy but considering is a chainsaw should be like this , I didn’t have the chance to use it yet but as we are planning to cut some bushes in the front garden to redecorate the garden this will be perfec

I was very pleasantly surprised by how handy this has come in – or at least my husband has been given he is the gardener of the family. This mini chainsaw is amazing for garden jobs, and I am sure a whole host of other jobs too I just haven’t tried it for anything else (yet). This comes in its own case, perfect for storage, and is very easy to use. Lightweight and portable, charge lasts well and all seems extremely durable; no complaints at all.

This mini chainsaw is a neat piece of kit for carrying out cutting jobs in the garden. The saw takes the strain off your arms and tackles jobs bigger than you think it would be able to based on its size. It comes in its own plastic case together with accessories consisting of two rechargeable batteries, two spare cutting chains, battery charger, spanner and screwdriver. All the accessories can be neatly packed in the case, so they don’t get mislaid.
Fitting the guide chain is fairly easy although you might find it a bit fiddly the first time you attempt this. Fix the nut by hand to begin with and then tighten it up using the spanner provided. Adjust the tightness of the chain with the screwdriver — you’ll need to do this periodically when you are using the saw because it will become loose whilst cutting. I’ve noticed this on all chainsaws, though, not just this hand-held one.
The chainsaw is well balanced and feels secure in your hand for one-handed operation (now there’s a sentence I never thought I’d write). There is a plastic guard around the chain to prevent particles from hitting you in the face or going into your eyes but to be on the safe side, especially if you are cutting something where you need to be looking quite close up, I would recommend wearing safety glasses. The LED light is very handy to see where you are cutting particularly if you are cutting branches within a bush where the light is low. In order to operate the chainsaw once you have fixed the battery on, just press the lock button and switch button simultaneously — the requirement to press both buttons means that there is less risk of accidental operation.
There are vents on the unit to cool the saw down when operating but, it can still get quite hot so you need to be aware of this so you don’t get shocked into dropping it!
Overall, I was very impressed with this mini chainsaw. It made short work of tidying up jobs in the garden reducing the time spent cutting and saving aches and pains in hands, wrists and arms. It is well priced, on a par with other similar saws available. The fact that it comes as a kit, with spare chains, is a bonus as these things often stand or fall on whether you can get spares for them. As with any other appliance of this type, the most important thing to do is be aware of the dangers of mis-operation and to take any appropriate, sensible safety precautions.
    Very much recommended.

This 24V handheld mini-chainsaw comes in its own carry / storage case.
    Good points
    – Hardback carry case
    – 2 x 24V batteries & charger
    – Minichainsaw bar with 3x chains supplied.
    – Assembly tools.
    Less good.
    – Battery charger simply plugs into the battery (No battery life left indicator)
    – The supplied screwdriver is too wide to fit the slot to adjust chain tension
OK that said – this chainsaw needs a little assembly – that’s pretty straightforward – (make sure you do any assembly or adjustments without a battery fitted though). Just unscrew the nut with the spanner provided.
Put chain on the bar and fit the bar & chain over the adjusting lug and the drive sprocket. Replace cover & tighten the nut back on.
You will need to check chain is fitted the right way – there’s a pic in the assembly book showing this.
Tighten the chain on the bar using a flat screwdriver (on mine the screwdriver was too wide to fit in the slot where the screw is). That’s all the assembly done.
The batteries charge by plugging the lead from the transformer plug directly into the battery. Unfortunately the only indication is a red light on the charging plug when charging and a green light when full – so you have no idea how much or how long a charge the battery still has. There are 2 x 24V batteries so hopefully this isn’t a big issue.
Using the saw – it’s quite well balanced with the battery fitted. I’ve added a video cutting a 50mm x 40mm piece of wood – quite quick so don’t expect any issues with branches up to the max size rated.
It will likely be ideal for general work on shrubs & small branches in the garden.
Could definitely be improved with some kind of battery state indicator either on the batteries or on the charger & not simply a red (charging) / green (full) LED.
    Thanks for reading.

Well balanced & easy to use handheld mini chainsaw.

I have a cordless hedge cutter which does a great job for most of the hedge, but there are several areas where there a really thick branches now as the hedge is very old. The cordless trimmer just will not cope with these and as a result the hedge got higher and higher in order to accommodate and hand these large branches. I contemplated calling a company in to tidy it all up and cut through these branches so that I could make a fresh start with the hedge. Well this little 4 ich cordless mini electric chainsaw tool has really saved the day for me. Although a little bit of a phaff to set up, it is fine though as soon as you get the hang of it. It simply powered through these branches, some of which were over four inches thick and I have been able to sort the whole thing out myself and take the hedge down over a foot. It is easy to use and obviously there is no dangly cord and it comes in a box with 2 x 24V lithium batteries and UK plug charger. For the price I think that it is really good value.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI ordered this Mini Chainsaw for my conifers, after trimming I have some large stumps visible on top the hedge cutter won’t cut.

Arrived packaged inside it’s own case, the locking tabs are flimsy but case is hard plastic and ideal for storage when not in use.

A bit fiddley fitting the chain at first, just a knack that once you understand how is quite easy to slot into place and adjust. After chain is fitted you can adjust chain if becomes loose without removing by twisting tab with screwdriver.

Lightweight and easy to carry in one hand, supplied with 2 x 24V lithium batteries and UK plug charger. Very portable and cordless chainsaw that is very powerful and fast in cutting through hedge stumps and tree branches in seconds.

Double protection safety trigger that requires safety switch is pressed with trigger to activate chain. Chainsaw even has an LED light in front showing the area you are cutting, ideal if your trimming inside a bush.

Once set up just attach battery and press trigger with safety button, quick and easy to use. Cut gardening chores down in a flash, I did notice chainsaw does get hot when in constant in use for over 20mins. Ideal for small jobs if you require whole tree removed you will require a large chainsaw.

Overall, great small chainsaw quick, easy and safe to use. Good value for money.

    I would recommend this product.

I have an unruly garden full of trees and bushes that I have been meaning to clear up so that my children can enjoy the garden. Ever since I’ve got my hands in this mini chain saw I have made light work of the otherwise tedious and back-breaking job.
This saw simply goes through the twigs and branches like a knife through butter. It is extremely sharp but, the best part is its miniature size. It is so manoeuvre-able and balanced that there’s much less strain on my hands and wrist.
Despite its minute stature, it packs a punch. As with all power tools, respect the tool and do your due diligence on safety and you will fully enjoy battling the wilderness, time and time again.

Mini Chainsaw from the DDKJ Store

I have something similar to this as I occasionally need to trim spikey bushes and cut tree branches that block our way to the garden back door.

So to compare this product with the current one I am using, both do the job, but this one is more powerful.

It is easy to assemble in opinion, as I have something similar. But first-time users might find it challenging to put together. I suggest checking the tooth chain to see if it is installed correctly before tightening the fastenings.

I’ve only used this with branches and bushes, so I can’t say if it is suitable for cutting wood palettes or thicker woods.

I like that it comes with a safety splash guard for additional safety and an additional battery pack.

Although it feels cheap, it does its job efficiently as how I need it. I’d still find it recommendable.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOur property developer planted a row of bushy trees along the fence of our front garden when the houses were built 5 years ago. They only turned green from May to September and remained brownish for the rest of the year, which looked awful. My husband has been thinking of cut them down for a better look. He sawed off four of them with a manual saw but quit it because it was too much for him. He got shoulder and back pain after the job.
Knowing that I ordered an electric chainsaw, he said he would try it on sawing more trees. I doubted it would work for the trees because it looked tiny. While I was doing yoga upstairs today, I noticed him working at the front garden. When I finished the practice about an hour later, he had done the job. 10 bushy trees were cleared! I asked him if he had a good time with the electric saw and he gave high praise of it. He said it was great! Small and not heavy to hold. Very powerful and worked effectively. He thought he might need to change the battery for the job but One fully charged battery last well.
    Mini but powerful, recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI ordered this for our mature shrubs as we had a hard time cutting them back and if only we had had this it would have been done easily and quickly. I’m also wondering if this would have come in handy whilst chopping up our old sofa as the wood was only MDF. This could potentially be a very handy tool to have. We have not tested it yet as I’ve no use for it yet but will look forward to using it in the garden when it’s time to cut back. We also have a lot of old conifers lining our garden and I find holding a big hedge trimmer a bit heavy and dangerous so this might make it a lot easier for trimming up. It did take me an age putting it all away finding the correct position in the box to be able to shut it! This could be a little more organised and laid out but never the less it is handy to keep it in something. Comes with 3 chains, screwdriver, 2 batteries and the plug. For the quality I think perhaps it’s a bit overpriced, you see tools for sale quite cheap in the same plasticky quality as this so 69 is quite a lot.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersMini Chainsaw, 4-inch Cordless Electric Chainsaw

this item comes in a very nice case thats made of hard plastic so protecting the device extremely well.
inside the case you get all the necessary tools to put the chainsaw together regarding the saw itself.

a wrench and screwdriver is all that it needed to get things up and running.
you receive 3x chain which is a plus so if one wears out.
2x 24v batteries which is plenty if you use one then its quick to change and carry on working.
1x charger which is a UK plug
however its here i have a slight issue with the charger is extremely light and working with electronic for years in not sure if this meets the recommendation regarding safety features. on the charger i received the specification was not clear to read some letters were faded.

the instruction and images could be better, while i put this together within minutes my girlfriend did find it alot harder.

the chainsaw has a few safety features which were rather nice in order to cause less accidents, the first being the splash guard which can be adjusted according to the diameter branch of wood your cutting.
on the handle there is a lock button, you simply press the lock button and switch button simultaneously to start small chainsaw.

for my usage i have some small trees that needed trimming back, the branches weren’t too thick however were thick enough that cutting them manual would take time and energy this chainsaw cut though them smoothly and effectively and the job was done in half the time.
the device wasn’t heavy to use and the grip was also adequate for operating.

for me the plastic making up the chainsaw is a little on the cheaper side its sturdy enough but lacks quality of other brands.
chainsaw did get warm after about 10mins of usage which wasn’t an issue i let it cool down for about 5 mins then carried on with the work again. i did however get a little smell of plastic when the tool started to get hot it still works after a week of use though and no real sign of wear or tear from what i can see.

overall the chainsaw cut very nicely it did the job it was intended for very well also, ill have to use a few more times to see how long this last, im not impressed with the charger itself as stated. and the plastic feels abit cheap however for 69.98 this is a fairly inexpensive mini chainsaw that’s currently on the market. if your in the market but haven’t got the money for an expensive then this is worth a try in my opinion.

EDIT: after much use i changed my review to a 4* simply because its been out performing my expectation and it hasn’t let me down. the battery lasted about 30-45 mins with fair constant use.

This mini chainsaw comes with a compact carry case, spare battery and even a spare chain. Assembly took me about 5 mins and I was ready to cut. It’s cuts through branches up to 4″ (10cm) quite effortlessly and ideal for pruning trees and bushes. Spare battery is really handy. Surprisingly powerful for its size. Chain came off a couple of times until I figured out how to tighten it ( should’ve read the manual). 5/5 for quality and complete package.
The materials are a bit plasticy but obviously not gonna be as good as a brand name but this reflects in what you pay for.

This mini chainsaw has reasonable build quality but not the same level or quality as you woudl expect say from a Bosch. Having said that it does not feel or look like a cheap make. It looks and feels well made and well designed. It comes in a carrying case which is very convenient. Although the instructions I think could be better (why do Manufacturers not put more effort into instructions?!), they are ok and it is simple enough to work out how to make this work. It was easy enough to put on the chain and work out what to do. It works fairly well on the smaller garden jobs. Perhaps not a necessity as other tools will probably do many of these jobs fairly quickly but this is convenient and it does take some effort out of the smaller job. It has safety features. I like the fact it has 2 batteries. There is nothing worse being in the middle of a job and then the battery runs out and you have to wait for it to charge. A useful tool for the smaller garden jobs.

The mini chainsaw arrives with the chain in a separate bag for assembling at home. This is a quick job with both the tools needed and full instructions provided in the box.

When it was all put together I used it to trim my ivy, conifer and small branches on my young olive tree.

    Initial impression.
Quite handy saw that comes with,
    – a pair of battery
    – A charger
    – 3 chain saws
    – a wrench and a screw driver.
    – and most importantly a decent tool case.
It is pretty quick and easy to set up. Even my mom can use it without any issues.
    – provision of safety button is a great help to avoid accidental injuries.
    – not a heavy item to handle. Will be able to operate with less physical effort.
    – twin battery is a great help to carry on tasks.

Some of the downsides I noticed
    – Looks a bit of cheap and plastic when compared to the product’s of brands like Bosch or greenworks.
    – motor started to get hot after 5 minutes of use. And could smell hot plastic- just like any other similar products.

Handy mini chainsaw for the spring
