I have had more oven gloves than you can shake a stick at, some have been good, others not so good. Generally silicon gloves are the best for handling very hot items, plus the fact silicon won’t let in water or steam. However gloves or mitts made of all silicon are not very dexterous. These gloves have a small amount of silicon on them for grip, but are mainly made of heat resistant Aramid fibres. They are fairly bulky and thick, but if they were thinner they would not stand the heat so well. Therefore they are a good compromise between dexterity and heat resistance.

Supposed to be a size medium but they come up very large so much too big for me. Slightly too big for my husband as well but still usable. Quality looks good but haven’t tested them yet.
Was unsure of these before purchasing, but by God these are great and do their job brilliantly. They are very thick which makes you think your grip won’t be good but this is not the case at all
I like these gloves. They are much better than mittens. You can grip handles better and whilst the advantages are minor, they have made my cooking experience easier.
I use these for cooking on the hob and in the oven. I have read other reviews about the heat resistance and that did put me off a little. But, I worked out how long I would be handling hot dishes for and realised that it would be a few seconds. So, I use them for taking stuff out of the oven and to the dinner table. This takes less than 10 seconds and I have suffered no burns. Yes, it can get hot, but not very hot.
I have been using them for a few months now and have no complaints.
Used for oven gloves, I’ve noticed after a period of time these glove have lost their heat resistance, not had them a year yet!
They are comfortable and easy to put on but most of all they are heat resistant. I bought them for a barbecue but use them indoors instead of an oven glove.
Very useful for handling hot tray from the oven.. the time guidelines for heat resistance is spot on.
Use them for getting hot pans out of Ninja, oven and moving charcoal about on the BBQ

Keep my fingers, hand and forearm safe from the heat of the BBQ, grip works well, and hands don’t get sweaty. Would buy again.
As usual, Amazon has requested a review within a few days of delivery, but so far no-one has burned themselves using these gloves and I certainly felt in no danger of doing so. Not particularly harshly tested to date, but they seem to do the job.
After pulling a meat thermometer out with my bare hands without thinking – and my husband doing exactly the same thing ten minutes later we bought these gloves rather than the joined together kitchen oven gloves we had been using but burnt ourselves taking them off and on.
Brilliant product, very good high heat resistance over short periods. Very handy for repositioning hot coals on the BBQ!
These are excellent oven gloves, they survive even the hottest of heats such as cast iron casserole dishes for quite an amount of time before any warmth is felt…however they can’t withstand a German Shepherd chewing them but I didn’t hesitate buying a second pair to replace the chewed ones!

Really like these, needed something for doing BBQs with and for handling things like tagine lids when hot. These are perfect and replace all other heat resistant items for cooking. The only negative is how easily heat gets through from any moisture coming into contact with them.
Easy to put on, very soft inner. Full protection from heat. Dark colour is convenient (avoid looking dirty all the time 😉 )
My wife loves these, no more burnt wrist and she has no problems handling hot trays as she has a lot more control with the gloves having fingers.

They are incredibly heat resistant. They are a bit big for my hands, but you can still grip things very easily.
They’re so good, I ordered a pair for my in-laws who were still using the old style oven mitts.
Great product I’m very impressed. The pair of gloves are heat resistant on both sides so in effect your getting 4 gloves as the holding surface is where you really need the protection in the oven.
I find dishes easier to hold as it is a glove not a mitt or two mitts attached.

Product works very well bought for work with industrial ovens as we cook breakfast and I can take the trays right out without feeling anything other than a little warmth after holding for more than a moment very pleased as I have arthritis in my hands and cannot hold stuff with one hand

Now my hubby won’t be burning my oven gloves on the barbie. We had our first barbie of the year on 23rd Jan when it was freezing outside, and the gloves kept his hands lovely and warm!

These are really good, they do the job fantastically and you can hold hot items for a surprising amount of time.
I have been using mine for a number of months and they are so good, I have just bought my dad a pair.
I purchased them to replace some silicon mitt type oven gloves that were never really heat proof.
The only thing to mention being: do not let them get even slightly wet, as if you do when going to grab a hot dish or baking tray from your oven the moisture will instantly turn to steam and scald you – so keep them dry and they will work wonderfully. Nice long cuffs on them too.
The product is superb, I have an AGA that is a lot hotter than conventional ovens, it is the best I’ve ever had.

as i do most of the cooking these gloves are great i cant wait to try them at my bbq.
I wanted oven gloves to get my sourdough loaves in Pyrex casseroles out of the oven, but I needed gloves to not be too stiff to lift off the lids. These gloves are excellent, they fit me fine and are much safer than the tea towel I was using before.
Used for 1 week so far and they work perfectly. No more burnt fingers.

I have a cast iron bread pan which heats to 240C. These gloves are the perfect protection against burning ones hands while moving this heavy pan in and out of a hot oven. Comfortable to wear and with a convenient loop to hang them near the stove. I recommend them.
Came in a day and perfect for take away staff use in clearing.

The gloves are used for handling all kinds of very hot cooking receptacles, in and out of the oven. They are safe and efficient. I would advise only ordering the large size if you have huge hands. The medium size is very generous but the grip afforded by them is excellent.

These gloves have made handling cast iron skillets over an open fire or Weber BBQ so much safer and easier to do.

I took a smoking box right out of the burner and I could feel the burn through the glove…and it lasted at least 1 day.
Other than that…I lifted the heated grates with no issue. So maybe not quite 800C as advertised…

The gloves are really heat resistance. Usually we make food in 200 . It feels no heat when we take out food from oven after wearing the gloves.

These gloves are great for the oven the only negative is that they are quite big I ordered the medium and they are bid for a lady but saying that they are still good you have dexterity just a bit bulky but on the whole quite good.
Don’t feel and look like a pair. However good price and heart resistant so does the job!
I love these! They give me much more confidence working in the kitchen than traditional oven gloves. They are a good fit for me although a little tight for my husband’s hands. He can still use them and has used them while barbecuing too. Definitely recommend these.

These gloves allow for more dexterity than traditional mitten-style oven gloves. The thickness needed to provide protection does make them very tight fitting though. Luckily, having slender finger, this isn’t too much of a problem for me.

Does exactly what it states, can hold things out the oven for a good few minutes without feeling a thing & so much better than oven mitts as your fingers are free to move & grip properly. Would definitely recommend

Very well made gloves and can be worn on either hand as they have the silicon grips on both sides. Stylish and great for barbecues outside or in the kitchen. Nice long cuffs to prevent accidental burns when getting something out of the back of the oven.
Bought these because my usual oven gloves are so padded it is difficult to grip hot trays. Thought I would try these and I am really pleased I did. I do a lot of cooking and these gloves are great. Used all over Christmas and these felt very safe to use. I can grip and hold everything properly with these gloves. Highly recommend.

Use for cooker ovens. Excellent heat resistant, good quality, but even the medium are a little on the large size, but would recommend.
The heat resistance is really good i took out items out of the oven at 260C and didn’t feel anything, i even held it for about 15 seconds.
Most people don’t realise about heat resistance and complain they can still feel heat. When something is advertised at being able to resist heat upto a certain temperature, it can only resist upto a specific time limit and isnt heat resistant permanently. Make sure you read the instructions as this is a heat resistance standard and is well documented under the HSE coding. So you should really ignore peoples poor review grades about them saying they can feel the heat as its actually user erro
Great heat resistance gloves that I used on barbecue, bit bulky but that’s to be expected
Used these for the BBQ and found them very effective for e.g. lifting the BBQ lid and arranging burning charcoal. They are necessarily thick but soft inside so reasonably comfortable. Excellent value for money.
Very tight fit and difficult to slip into / out off but amazingly heat resistant and they really work
