I needed a new one, and this one popped up after searching, it looked very good for the price. The only thing i had to do was to add a piece for the back for sitting on, but wasn’t a problem, and overall yes a very good buy, it would have been nice if the company had covers for them aswell, but again not a problem, just looked, and found one quite easy. still happy with this item and again very well priced.
While this item suited my purpose, (I’m using it indoors) I think I would think twice about using it outdoors.The instructions are visual but I managed to work it out,it would have helped if the actual parts had lettering on them with which to identify the outer facing side.Easy enough to fix together I did it by myself in less than half hour once I got the panels the right way. Once built it seemed sturdy enough, plenty of storage space.Looks much better built as when I unpacked it it just looked as though it was made from pallets. I took advantage of a price drop, I certainly would not have purchased at full price I would have bought a plastic one as I don’t think this item would withstand any severe weather.

Super easy to assemble, doesn’t feel like the sturdiest to sit on but fine for our use. Not had chance to test weatherproofing as it’s only been sunny since we bought but intend to treat inside and out anyway as it doesn’t seem full weatherproof
This is a great item for indoor use, don’t know if I’d use it outside though as it comes untreated; but with a proper seal on it it my be ok, but water may still get inside, I bought it to go in my kitchen diner so doesn’t need treating, looks great around the table so I might buy another, and the big storage area under the seat is a great place to store your odds and ends.
Pleasantly surprised to see that the hinges were already fixed – inside base is in two sections and may require a gentle bang with a hammer to locate tightly together.
Only 3 stars for sturdiness, as back, if not against a wall (recommended) could easily break if anywhere near the quoted 250kl max weight – very easy to plonk down hard.
The wood is native pine and looks to be untreated so I coated the bench with antique pine varnish. Others have noted the gap behind the hinges which definitely will allow ingress of water to the storage area. Therefore I plan to fill the gap with clear silicon sealer.
Why a bench rather than one with arms? Much easier to slide on from the side (wheelchair users)
Very easy to assemble and very sturdy wasnt sure how weatherproof it would be so applied a stain to weatherproof it.
