This has really relieved the pressure from my tennis elbow. I bought one after a recommendation from a friend but was pleasantly surprised at his good it was.
My one criticism is that I have big hands and the largest model is not quite big enough, I wish they did and extra large version.

Since getting this mouse I have become ambidextrous with my mouse and spend 50% of my work day working with each hand which reduces the strain on just one hand immensely. It takes practice and sometimes a little frustration to swap (in my case to left hand usage). I initially practiced on apps which don’t need high precision clicks and work your way up to it. Even spending a few minutes each hours swapping hands for your mouse makes a difference.

Bought November 2018. This is a great mouse in terms of comfort and ease of movement. However, I found it a bit slower than standard models and the cursor has become more unstable – not a smooth up and down movement; tends to jump a bit.

Totally great. Extremely comfortable to use and immediately I could feel a difference to the tension in my forearm being reduced. Really wish I’d changed sooner.

Quick to pick up how to use it and totally plug and play. Very happy.

So I got that little bit older but still worked in an office and started to get pains from my wrist through most of my lower arm when using a normal mouse. I got the Penguin, easily picking the right size using the online chart, and the pains went away straight away: just not rotating the wrist was all I needed it seems.
Good grip; easy to use three-button penguin-mouse; slides well on a mouse mat. I’m even switching back and forth between left and right hands – as I read somewhere you’re supposed to – and the one penguin mouse allows you to do that well with the switch you can reach with your little finger. Great device.

This is hardly a mouse – it’s colossal, but very well made. There are a couple of issues – It’s too cumbersome for gaming, where speed and accuracy are important. And the thumb rest should be on the top of the column, not on the left-hand side. The top (i.e. left) button needs a good tug, which is less than ideal. A smooth mouse mat is recommended.

Been using the mouse now at work for a couple of months and wouldn’t go back to a conventional mouse ever again. Really comfortable and easy to use. Mouse glides beautifully, recommended if get a sore palm like I used to have.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI had toyed with the idea of buying a nice high end mouse for some time. Before I purchased my desired mouse, I developed a shoulder injury on my right side from repetitive and badly postured computer work. After agonising over the other potential mouse for months, once I got this injury I realised I had to have a ambidextrous mouse. Regardless of the ergo nature of a mouse, the act of prolonged use will always be problematic. If you can halve that by sharing the burden on both sides, that is probably the single most useful change to make if continuing the prolonged computer activity.

I love the mouse, I appreciate the shape and method of movement, I am particularly pleased with how perfectly ambidextrous it is, the only problem I have is my own limitation of learning more left hand control.

    The penguin, the mouse

I’ve RSI problems in my hand (little finger side) for some time. I was swapping my hands at work to rest them but I always found using my normal mouse with my left hand uncomfortable. After 3 months of use at work I can only give this a five star rating, its worked perfectly for me. The ability to switch hands day to day with a click of a button is a god send. That coupled with the fact the large design fits my large hands unlike your normal mouse. I still have some RSI but I can work a whole day without having to stop like I used to. As for the accuracy at first I wasn’t sure but two clicks of the button on the underneath boosted the DPI and it sensitive enough for me to use.

This mouse has saved my wrist from continued RSI issues and I truly believe that anyone that suffers from RSI would benefit from this mouse.

    tl;dr
    Pros:
    * Great for helping with RSI
    * Found extremely easy to adapt to
    * Suitable for left/right handed (personally right handed but so many mice are right handed only)
    Cons:
    * No braided cable (for the price would expect it)
    * Had two fail after about 2 years of use (work usage)
    * No DPI memory

However this is my third one in four years. My first was the wrong size but the cable cover has split and it no longer works (replaced after a year with a large, but cable broke after 2 years), my second one the left mouse button starting working intermittently which actually just caused me more wrist pain. My third though is still going strong.

My gripe with this mouse is that for the price they charge it lacks anything that really warrants the price (other than reduce physio fees). I would expect for a 70 mouse a braided cable, and better quality as over a few years there has been a fair amount of wear on the case (silvers fading where my hands sit, and the texture over the black is wearing off), my last annoyance is it does not remember the DPI switch settings which means every morning I have to press the button to reset it.

All those cons aside, this mouse has saved me from more serious RSI issues so I really do recommend i

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI ve had a medium and a large one.My hand is 21.5cm.With the medium after 1-2 hours max i was feeling discomfort and my fingers were going numb. So i had no choice but to sell it .With the large one i can work for hours without problems.
Before penguin i ve tried other popular vertical mouses like anker(not exactly vertical) delux(very small for my hands), evoluent Xl (the best next thing after penguin) but none of them felt so good on my hand.

    Double -click issue.
If the double click does not work flawless go to your control panel –> devices —> mouse properties –> buttons<-- and adjust the double click speed.Try decreasing the value first (that worked for me).

I was somewhat sceptical that this would alleviate rsi in my right wrist, but it did. Surprisingly it didn’t take long to get used to using it, it feels quite natural very quickly. After a few hours use going back to a traditional mouse feels very strange. It’s comfortable to use with no ache in my wrist, hallelujah!

Ergonomically superb works equally well left or right hand. Highly recomended for RSI sufferers. I took about a week to get fully used to it but I was reasonably comfortable with it in a day or two. Being right handed it was refreshingly easy to use left handed. For at least a month (due to lingering RSI pain) I did not want to use any mouse right handed. I now mostly use it left handed through choice. This leaves my right is free if I want to write. Great for non RSI suffers also.

It is more delicate than a standard mouse but this is only an issue when travelling – put in a padded bag on its own – bubble wrap works well.

Now to why it looses 1 star – the wire is very prone to kinking and the finish wears off with use. For a cheap mouse this is not much of an issue but this is not a cheap mouse.

With carpal tunnel causing tingles, pains and general dicomfort in my right-hand, it looks like an op is likely. Wanted to be prepared so was looking for an ambidextrous product to get my left hand in play. The Penguin has proved easy to use and conversion of Adult Male to LHD has been very natural. Yes, the large base area needs a bit more space but with some revision to normal mouse driving practice, it is quite easy to adjust to. Can thoroughly recommend.

Unfortunately, I developed Computer elbow or ulnar nerve entrapment ( rather then carpal tunnel syndrome) by spending all day typing and clicking on my regular mouse in my NHS establishment. I wouldn’t hesitate to say that I am completely blown away with the amazing ergonomic design of this little device. My elbow is back to square one now. My pain was resolved within three days of using this vertical mouse. I think those regular flat mice should be banned in NHS !

Thank you very much for designing such a nice product which saved my lead role !

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersHad problems with my hands and wrist that puzzled GP until he got a eureka moment and looked at the pattern of where my pains were and it corresponded to conventional mouse as work long days with one. Researching options I came across the penguin and love it. I took to it straight away. It is so comfortable to hold and does all the mouse functions of click, stroll etc without installing 3rd party software. My daughter likes having a go with it too. I firmly believe a campaign should be started to rid the world of mice and replace them with penguins as here about so many people who have similar problems but have done nothing about it.
Update: After the last one broke I went for a cheaper verticle mouse but started getting carpal tunnel and RSI. My work got a postureite workstation assessment for me in my home office. And they recommended giving the penguin another go. So I have been using it again for around 6 months and feel better using it. However what is weird is that on Windows 10 if you keep it plugged in the P still is lit but won’t work after the laptop starts up again until you unplug it. Also weird is when you go to use it it needs time to wake up again and the cursor remains still for 2 seconds before starting working.
