Everything else is absolutely perfect. You won’t get anything better if you’re not spending more than 15k, and trying to get a wheel with 900 angle.
Its a good wheel an pedal the only thing is the pedal can slide depending on the floor but thats an easy fix I just used one of those shelf mats that stops things from falling from the dollar store and it works great.
I can’t compare this racing wheel to $200 plus steering wheels because I would never pay that much for a gaming controller, but this gem of a wheel came with pedals and was at my price point. After a few gaming sessions, I am happy to report that this wheel was a great choice. It’s looks and feels sturdy and is sized perfectly for adult hands. Steering is accurate and it was simple plug and play for playing Dirt 4 on my PC. It comes with a desk clamp, but I attached it to my desk via the provided suction cups and it stayed in place just fine while I was gaming. I can recommend this quality controller and I would buy it again.
Perfect wheel and pedal set, the suction cups wouldn’t be good on their own but the desk clamp provided took care of tha
Steering wheel looks and feels good, not sure about the pedals. Haven’t used it yet as a present for my son.
Looks good and would have been an amazing Christmas gift. Unfortunately it was delivered in its original packaging, not in delivery packaging with just an address slip on. Nothing to protect the box which was damaged and left in plain site of my son, who the gift was for. Pictures of what was in the box were all over it. Amazing please consider packaging the order to both make them discreet and to protect the contents
Great product for the price. Tested it today as soon as it arrived, I hope it works for a long time.
The PXN V3II is the only wheel I’ve ever owned or used and I’m very satisfied with my purchase of this wheel. I was using an Xbox One controller and the controller is not a bad way to go. However, after a bit of tweaking the wheel’s settings and adjusting a games setup options with the wheel it has become my ‘go to’ option for driving simulators, especially American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator, both installed in Steam. I haven’t spent a lot of time in DR2 or AC with the wheel yet, so this review will focus on ATS and ETS. All I can really say about DR2 and AC is that I it works well with these games on Steam/PC and I do feel vibration in the wheel.
The most useful tip I have found deals with the wheel itself, and that is to go into the wheel’s setup by holding the ‘share and options’ buttons down for 3 seconds and then pressing ‘options’ to cycle through until the green led blinks at the slowest rate. This sets the wheel to be the ‘least sensitive’ to steering movement. I only use the wheel in ‘X’ mode, as I’ve never gotten the wheel to be recognized by a game when in what is advertised in ‘D’ mode. ETS is still very sensitive to steering and the game’s settings require the steering sensitivity to be set as low as possible, but it’s very usable when set to the lowest game setting and the wheel is on the lowest sensitivity setting also. I also use a USB 3 port as I haven’t gotten the wheel to work on a USB 2 port, although I’ll admit that I haven’t spent a lot of time fiddling around with ‘D’ mode or USB 2 ports. There’s a USB port for a controller on the wheel intended for game consoles to plug a controller into, but that makes no difference on a PC as it doesn’t fix my ability to use the controller at the same time as wheel. I don’t feel any gears in the wheel when turning it, so maybe it’s a belt drive, but I don’t know. I was concerned about getting a wheel that wasn’t smooth when turning, but that was unfounded because this wheel turns smooth as butter. I’ve read a few threads about how awful this wheel is because it only turns 180 degrees (90 to the left, 90 to the right). This has not been an issue at all for me at all in ATS or ETS, as lane changes, U-Turns in parking lots, and cornering all look and feel very natural to me. The vibration works in both ATS and ETS when I setup a game to use the wheel as an XBox controller and not use the PXN setting when it is recognized by a game. I haven’t felt any force feedback in any game. Also, I do not have my Xbox controller connected and turned on when using the PXN wheel, as that seems to cause some confusion in my wheel settings such as odd buttons on the wheel will cause the truck to brake as an example. I found that using the clamp to secure the wheel works best for me as the suction cups tended to release and/or slide around on the table surface be it dense wood or granite. I ended up clamping to a piece of scrap granite about an inch thick that I put on top of my wood table. Ergonomically, the wheel is pretty comfortable, it’s a bit small in diameter but but it’s quite livable. It’s a little stiff when turning due to the built in wheel’s auto-centering spring being a bit stiff for me and after driving for several hours, my wrist’s become tired. An option to adjust the steering wheel resistance would be nice, but this is not a deal killer for me on a sub $100 wheel. Like other’s have said the build quality is quite nice also considering the low price point. The pedals also work fine, though they do tend to walk away from me a bit on a low pile rug after an hour or so, even with the extended heel platform deployed. No big deal though, they ‘feel’ right when pressed and I put a small granite slab behind the pedals to keep them from walking around on the rug. The pedals make a creaking sound when using them which is pretty noticeable when the room is quiet otherwise. I plan to attempt to take them apart if it’s possible without breaking the case to see if I can’t lubricate the springs or something inside the pedal base to improve the situation.
The real downsides for me are the buttons on the wheel. Don’t get me wrong, they feel and press well enough, it just that I tend to press the upper buttons on the top front of the wheel by accident. I have unassigned all the buttons on the upper half of the wheel as I don’t really need them anyway, so that fixes it ultimately. The other issue I have is a caution about how Amazon shipped the item. They did not double box it or even bother to tape the box shut. The box is only sealed by a couple of cardboard tabs from the manufacturer, so it could have come open easily during shipping. I’d suggest that perhaps it be ordered ‘gift wrapped’ from Amazon to prevent this possibility.
While I really enjoy driving a stick in a real car or truck, I only plan to ever use an automatic transmission when gaming, so this wheel is a great option for me. If I do want to shift, I’d use the attached paddle shifters, which have a clicking sound when pressed, but it’s not too loud. Any louder of a click though and I wouldn’t care for it. Unless I win the lottery, I don’t plan on spending a thousand dollars on a back ordered wheel in the near future. If this one breaks or wears out, I’ll just buy another inexpensive wheel. I may even buy another PXN V3II just to keep as a backup just in case.
Got it for my bro’s birthday and he loves it!!
We bought this of our grandson and it was hard to connect to the gaming system he has and after getting it connected it lasted for only a few months and it stopped working. We did buy the 2 year protection plan and filed a claim and they were prompt in getting us a refund.
Didn’t expect to work perfectly with its price but was surprised, the quality isn’t perfect but still after a year of use and working every time I use it.
No cables supplied for connectivity to an XBOX S found a cable at home and got it working easily once found.
Good product arrived on time
Ok .. OK .. so i did get in touch with amazon customer service and even so it took a while it all got sorted and my refund is on its way ! Very pleased ! I use the wheel every day , so lets hope it wont brake again ! As it is a good one !
I’ve compared this wheel to the more expensive “Logitech G920” and it actually turned a little sharper in even comparison. We turned off all driving assist features to let it be full controller performance if you don’t know anything about wheels and you’re shopping around (even if for someone else) this one is definitely the way to go if you’re on a budget but need something that performs right there with the more expensive brands and you won’t be sorry THIS IS DEFINITELY A WORTHY INVESTMENT FOR ANY RACING GAMER!
This product is so so good it works like a charm and the turning and the pedals and everything about it is amazing
I don’t like that the shifter isn’t compatible with Forza Horizon 4. I like that the pedals have pressure sensitivity and the wheel has grip. I would like it to be a little bigger but it was a cheaper option. Would also be nice if there was less cords. Not much to complain about.
I got this as a birthday present as I was playing a lot of Euro Truck Sim 2. As it hasn’t been possible to travel far this year, I got into these games so I could see the world from a computer simulated lorry cab. Trust me it’s more interesting than you think and is pretty zen! This wheel works quite well and I’m happy with it. I came on here to write recommendations for others who want the same (so I can save you some time!)
As the wheel only does 180 degrees of motion, it will be hypersensitive to start with. You will think it’s impossible to work with and you’ll have to refund it, until you use the following settings. 1) In ETS2 or ATS game settings turn sensitivity up to the maximum and also non-linearity to maximum, with no deadzone. What this will do is mean that your small motorway steering adjustments are very small, but small enough to count, and the big turns are only for when you’re making manoeuvres at roundabouts, T-junctions etc. 2) There is an X-mode and D-mode in the settings. I can’t remember which is which, but one doesn’t register the wheel on the game, or doesn’t work properly. If that’s the case hold down the home button for 3 seconds.
The settings I tend to use are: Left arrow, signal left. Right arrow, signal right. Up arrow, horn. Down arrow, cruise control on. The triangle is my hazard lights. The square is my parking brake. The circle is high beam lights. X is my engine on/off. The back buttons of the wheel are pan left and right. And the paddles are the gears to go up and down. (You can play with an automatic gearbox, but if you can master the manual gearing there is no going back. Hearing the gearbox and adapting, the performance is unbeatable.)
That should make the steering wheel usable!
In terms of the wheel itself, it feels quite well made and has leathery/rubbery finish. The buttons work well. I don’t use the shifter because there are the gear paddles behind the wheel and it’s also in an awkward place. The buttons on the front do seem to conflict with other buttons sometimes. (Or it’s like they do the same thing). I haven’t figured that out yet, as it would be handy to have extra buttons, for changing the radio station etc. After about a month the pedals are a bit squeaky too. Not perfect.
Overall though, if you’ve played a few hours of ETS2 and you’re enjoying it, then you really need to get a wheel. The Logitech and Thurstmaster ones are expensive and a bit too premium, I feel and there are others a bit cheaper than this one but I don’t know how good they are. So if you are on a budget, get this one (Amazon often have a few warehouse ones in New/ Like New/ Very good condition) so you can get this at a discount.
Then I’d also recommend getting all the DLCs for ETS2 (and/or ATS – I’m starting to get into that too). There are sites where you can buy the steam DLC codes at a discount, google them. And also look at getting Promods too. That will really kit your game out with amazing maps into a fully fledged trucker. I’d also recommend getting truckersMP to play multiplayer, but I drove like a lunatic in that and have had a couple of bans. The Calais-Duisberg road is fun and nuts (see video), the rest of the map is a bit empty.
Hope you found that useful and would recommend this wheel and pedals for ETS2 fans. You just need to know the right settings to get the most from it.
The connection to the XBox One is simple, it takes a while to configure it in game so that you get the settings right for you but well worth it.
While I did not use it, the child it was bought for seems to like it. As of writing this review, it seems to be holding up well…
So far it has been great, used on PC, Switch and PS4 – all work out of the box. Great response and feedback is fu
This wheel only turns 90degrees from center each way. So when you are playing a game like ATS, the wheel is going to Simulator you throwing the wheel all the way to one side.
Second some of the buttons are mapped to each other. Like the shifter paddles and stick are also link to 2 buttons on the wheel.
Third my least favorite anytime I want to use the wheel on my PC I need to replug it in and lress a button to change modes.
All in all if you want a cheap wheel to play ATS this is a good one for you.
It does feel cheap though. It’s mainly built out of plastic, but it feels durable and stay seated firmly on my table. At the price you are paying your standards shouldn’t be too high on build quality which is decent.
Easy to set up and works well. Was a hit for xmas.
so far it has exceeded my expectations. easy set up and removal when not using it. when using it very realistic but can be sensitive.
My son asked for this for Christmas – he just loves it. the quality is great and as described.
Great item, easy set up and works great with different gaming platforms
Great product, and worked for a short while perfectly, but the game I got it for got an update and rendered this obselete, so even the return was no hassle. Again, the game got an update but I’d tried on other games to be sure (that I knew were compatible) and it worked great.
mon garon l’adore il va super bien des heures de plaisi
The build quality is really decent for the price.
My sons loves it. He connects it to his computer or to his Xbox.
Works well with the xbox
This was a gift and the person is very happy with it. They are using it on a PS4. One note, it arrived 2 days ahead of the original date give when ordered.
My grandson loves it he said it works great on his PC with no problems.
This steering wheels is awesome. It works with 1nsane and truck simulation as well.. Watch the video
Very nice. Works well, the pedals are gradual which is great, works well with ps4, xbox one, nintendo switch and pc. Great feel on the steering wheel
I do not regret this purchase.
My teenager really like this wheel. Though he says he does wish the wheel turned furthe
Seems to fit the Playstation4 with no problem but hooking it up to the computer took some time.
wheel stopped working with gran turismo sport but overall amazing wheel i would recommend this to anyone
It works great exactly as shown and delivery was fas
The appearance looks nice, has the wheel and pedals, nothing looks cheap, worth the money. And i really like lots of keys on the wheel, so can switch or choose function on the wheel, don’t need to find mouse or keyboard.
We link the wheel with pc and TV, so super large screen makes the feeling really real.
It has sucktion cups and u shape clamp, so stable while playing, and can be easily removed.
The sensitivity is adjustable. We find it was too sensitive at the very beginning, but find it can be adjusted at the last page of user manual.
So very satisfied, nothing to complain. Good d value for this price.
I was looking around for an affordable racing wheel with a respectable number of features that wasn’t ludicrously priced. I mean, I’m not using this thing to join the F1 Virtual Grand Prix or other racing eSports so it’s not like a $500+ wheel is going to potentially pay for itself when I launch a career. I just wanted a decent, reliable wheel to add a new level of enjoyment/immersion to my racing games. This one caught my eye because, in addition to the nice array of controls (all regular controller buttons and the pedals) it advertised Force Feedback/vibration and came in under $100!
I’ve not had a ton of time playing around with this thing, yet, so I’m not going on much more than initial impressions and an hour or so of play. I will admit, I wasn’t expecting much so this wheel greatly exceeded my expectations. For such an inexpensive wheel (the average price for them seems to be over $200 and I saw a few go closer to $1000!) it’s very well made. If feels solid AND it’s got a good amount of heft to it. It feels like it would withstand quite a bit of use.
Installation was easy on my Windows 7 desktop. Install the drivers then plug it in. Bing, bang, boom! Then it’s off to the races! (I’m a father of 3, I’m legally obligated to use dad jokes like this!) It says Windows 10 is plug-&-play. My laptop runs 10 so I’ll try it later. It is also compatible with the PS3, PS4, Nintendo Switch (both directly to the unit or when it’s docked), and XBox One. I own the PS3, PS4, and the Switch. I’ll probably try those later. The PS4 and XBox One connections seem a little more involved. It comes with an extra cable (USB to Micro USB) because you have to connect the wheel to both the controller and to the console directly. It comes with a handy Quick Reference guide for connecting to any of these consoles that explains the process clearly enough.
So far I’ve only used on it BeamNG.Drive (which is still “Early Access” on Steam) where I didn’t notice much feedback or anything else. I’ll play with the settings in the game because I’m pretty sure the reason for the lack of vibration is there. If not, it is “Early Access” so that is another likely culprit. Then I switched over to Grid Autosport. This one I noticed a little bit of vibration, nothing major and no “Force Feedback”. However, the wheel has built in resistance to snap back to center and it does provide a good snap. Again, I’m going to fiddle with the settings because I’m sure that a lot of it is there and not the fault of the wheel.
Overall if you’re looking for a racing wheel with a good list of features that isn’t going to break the bank I recommend this one. It’s inexpensive, but it certainly isn’t “cheap”. You probably won’t see them in the F1 Virtual Grand Prix, but it’s got a great feature-to-price ratio and will either whet your appetite for a racing wheel; in which case you’ll eventually upgrade to a pricier model with more features and functions. Or this will satisfy your cravings for a wheel and you will hopefully have a long and happy relationship with it. After all, it does feel like it was built to last.
We enjoy the wheel even if it took us some time to adjust the settings. The wheel should spin completely around its axe, which it doesn’t.
This is my first time using a racing wheel and it works wonderful – awesome experience
Would recommend this to everyone who wants to have a realistic experience while playing the game.
Keep up the great customer experience guys
It’s important that you know that the way it works on a PS4 is by calibration itself to a controller so the console doesn’t recognize it as a wheel. That being said, it still works and the fact that I can use it on any console is a plus for me. Using it on a PC however is a different ballgame.
One thing that I didn’t like was the fact that it’s 180 degrees rotation on it which isn’t a real driving experience but is still an enjoyable one. Overall, for the price it is, it does the Job and I’ve started playing All my racing games again because they feel completely different.
This was a great buy, had made staying home all day much more enjoyable. It works great, even my young son loves using it. Arrived in 2 days, faster than the expected delivery, even during a pandemic.
The racing wheel is great, very responsive, has force feedback and adds a new element when playing racing games.
This wheel also is compatible to multiple gaming systems and so its a win win situation.
Works as good as more expensive bigger wheels on a budget it does lack a few of the more advanced features but if you don’t mind tweaking things a little bit I’ve driven Assetto Corsa Project cars 2 Grid 2019 and Dirt Rally 2.0 and Dirt 4 on this wheel and it is very responsive and tons of fun! Only little downside Is most games won’t come with a preset for this wheel so you have to manually tinker in some games I actually had to play with controller settings which the wheel can adapt to a pretty good I have no complaints and don’t see any reason to spend 200+ dollars on another wheel anytime soo
Very good product, good Quality for price, came a day early, very responsive, works great with PS4, easy to hook up, petals are good quality, can’t have a headset connected to your controller won’t produce any sound.
