Innovative stand hub by Satechi. Works well for my iPad Pro ! 🙂
I work in I.T. I am on-call a LOT. I USED to have to carry a Laptop and all of the needed accessories with it everywhere I went when on-call. It was a process whenever I was called when out to get everything set up and working. Now, with this and my portable BT KB/Trackpad, Battery Bank and Z Fold 3, I no longer need to take my laptop with me everywhere and now can fit all the needed gear into my pockets or a small bag. SO MUCH NICER.
USB-C Port is for Power Delivery ONLY. NO USB Features here. If you need more than the ONE USB-A port they provide, then get a USB Hub. If you are just using USB Thumb Drives and other low power accessories, then this will be enough, but if you are planning to use USB HDD’s and other stuff, get a powered hub. 🙂
If you are looking for a full blown Desktop Solution that you can keep your device in on your desk, this is nice, but lacking in a couple areas:
1. Lack of additional USB ports. You can take out the Headphone Jack and give us another USB Port would be more helpful. Or better yet, a USB-C and keep the UISB-A?
2. Lack of Ethernet Port. If you are planning to use this as a serious “desktop” solution, you need ethernet.
If you are using this as a portable hub for other stuff to add to your carry-around kit, then it’s fine the way it is.
This is a great product and very happy with the quality and the peformance. One issue I have had with other stands is they require you to remove the cover. This one supports the ipad pro with no problem, case included.
The video and charging also work great so all in all, good product.
Overall, I like this product. Unfortunately because I use it to review and annotate documents, having to use it in landscape cuts down on screen visibility

Like a lot offers a lot of functional options and it’s solid like a brick I practice guitar so I can plug my headphones cable into it run along to my Tasman GT Guitar CD player with my electric guitar plug into Tacam CD Guitar player while my IPad Air is plugged in it for power. So I am able to watch Tabliture on IPAD hear my guitar and the music all at same time. As I was able to with an older generation IPAD Air that had a headphone jack. Device is clean looking offers me more options as now I can send image to my TV through HDMI cable.
This hub and stand is a must-have for travel if you have an M1 iPad Pro or laptop with USB-C ports. I have used this at my desk daily and while traveling with both my M1 iPad Pro and new 2021 MacBook Pro, and it performs excellently with both and for both conditions. I highly recommend it.
The product works as advertised and will work with anything with a USB-C
Excellent foldable stand, iPad held securely. Charging and audio passthrough work great, no issues at all. Highly recommend.
Must have for iPad Pro
I have 12.9 iPad Pro M1 2021 and works great.
keep in mind you may see black panels on the left and right side of the screen on external monitor because of the resolution.
Apps like Amazon prime video, Netflix videos are shown full screen without black panel.
Having said that you can also use laptop to connect to external device.
This stand works great with the S6 Lite, which has a USB C connection. Sits at the correct angle. Some times I want it a little more upright and place a folded index card behind it as a shim.
Stand works well for Samsung Dex. I use mostly bluetooth peripherals, but I did end up plugging in a controller to charge using the USB port. The angle is convenient, and it is very convenient to have it fold up into the size that it does.
I picked this up and tested it out with a few of the tablets that I have around for testing. I found that much like mots of the other Satechi products; the build quality is quite good and it works as intended. However considering the feature set of this particular device; it is on the pricey side (at time of writing this review). This means there are definitely cheaper options that are also good; however I haven’t had much of an issue with most of the products from this company and this dock is definitely solid.
I used various USB drives, a portable HDD and used it to output video to a TV. YMMV depending on which device you plug this into. Some of my tablets supported video out and others did not. I don’t have an iPad to test this with so everything I used was Android outside of one Windows laptop I plugged in just to confirm its basically a regular USB-C Hub/Dock on a stand.
All in all its a good device that gets the job done, the integrated charging is a nice touch especially with so much power. It has no issues with something like a surface or other high end tablets.
Perfect as an iPad holder and hub. Stand and hookup your iPad via USB and you’re ready to work. It’s also portable, allowing you to work wherever you are at any time.
I like the Satechi aluminum stand & hub because it’s easy to use, very light! No need for any connectors, it’s all in one. Wouldn’t change it!
I’ve been a fan of Satechi products for a while and when this stand became available, I thought I would give it a try. I used it primarily with with an iPad Pro (11-inch, 2018) along with its smart case. The tablet fits perfectly into the stand – even with the case attached – and the built-in cable wraps around for easy connection to the dock. The dock provides several options for connectivity including HDMI, USB-A, 3.5mm audio port, and SD/Micro SD card readers. This is a very powerful stand since it offers the user so many options to expand the standard use of an iPad. The stand folds up to be completely compact so that you can travel with it easily. Even though this dock provides lots of external connectivity for the iPad, it’s still not a total computer replacement. I really enjoy it and love using it for travel because it can act as a mobile workstation in a pinch. The stand is built really well and is very durable.
This gives me all the options that I need with my iPad. This has transformed my iPad into a laptop.
A cool way to give your iPad Pro more ports for when you need to use it as a full blow computer. It’s a tablet stand and a USB C hub with Power Delivery and HDMI video output. It’s lightweight and folds up into a a small size, so you can keep it in your bag with your charger and other things that you carry daily. The quality is very good with most of the stand being made of a space gray colored aluminum. Only a little bit of the product is made from rubber/plasitic. It looks to be very durable and should last the lifetime of your iPad, and then some. It will work with any tablet that has USB C that supports video output, but NOT with iPads that have a Lightning port because this is meant for the iPad Pro/iPad Air 4. Keep in mind that iPad OS is still limited and this dock will not turn your iPad into a Mac, you can thank Apple for that. They insist on enforcing unnecessary limitations at the system level, making it impossible to truly utilize an iPad Pro in a Mac like way. The file system, lack of windowing, RAM limits per app, and lack of true support for external displays (being able to use the full screen) really hinders what you otherwise could do on the M1 iPad Pro or even the A14 on the iPad Air.
I have several Satechi products and they are all outstanding this one is no exception.
Light weight and portable if required I would hight recommend this produc
I am very impressed with the hub. My only wish is for a thunderbolt port to connect external devices.
I love this, makes it so easy to store my laptop!!!
This is very lightweight and easy to tuck in if you are needing a stand and hub. I’ll start with the cons since I feel like they could make or break it for you
Cons
– Only one usb-c input port, so if you are charging, you cannot attach something like an external drive or a specialty card reader w/out unplugging the charging cord. Usually drive run a bit slower if you are using them while on battery vs powered. You can use a reg usb-port via an adapter to run a drive off of, but then it would be much slower. Really needs one port to keep it all powered and one additional to run a drive or any secondary device.
– the hinge appears to me made of plastic and I am not sure how long it will last, feels a bit cheap given the price of the unit.
Pros
Unique concept
Built in usb c cable for connecting to iPad
Lightweight and easy to store
Hatte schon andere IPad Stands.
I found this to be good that it’s got a small footprint, and it’s exactly as described. But I decided to get a full keyboard from Logitech instead for a complete computing experience instead.
High quality, well made, attention to good design, but didn’t work for me as I need to be able to adjust my iPad Pro to vertical so on Zoom calls I am not looking down on the camera. This hub leaves the iPad slanted back at a ~30 degree angle, fine for desk work but not for video calls.
This is actually a pretty useful stand that can be used for a bunch of different purposes.
I’m currently using it with a 2021 iPad Pro 12.9″ M1 device and it’s great for that!
