Awesomely compact recorder for fail safe recording with useful dual recording function.
A very simple no frills audio recording thing that comes with everything but the battery and a SD card. I was disappointed I had to buy a downgraded 32gb as this thing didn’t work with my existing 64gb cards. It does say so granted. Audio quality is reasonably good, certainly wants tweaking in post, but the dual volume recording option is a real useful feature that sold it for me – as such I purposely set my primary track to be louder than is safe, my secondary track -6db which I rarely use. In the rare events my primary peaksz instead of spending ages trying to fix it, or cutting it out,I can simply flip to the second track for a few seconds, seen as they are both in sync. Small things too, like a difficult to press switch ensuring there’s no way it can be activated/deactivated unless you put your nail in and really slide and hold it over… Very good idea
Also zunchst mal: Das Gert ist winzig klein und leicht und damit super fr alles mgliche geeignet. Whrend der Hochzeit kann es im Sakko verschwinden, passt in oder an jede Hosentasche und ist auch von Handhabe und Bedienung sehr bersichtlich und Nutzerfreundlich.
2 kleine Abers habe ich jedoch:
Das Gert wird hier im Bundle mit einer 265 GB Micro SD Karte angeboten. Das ist kompletter Unsinn. Der Tascam DR-10L kann nur mit Speicherkarten ab 4GB und bis maximal 32GB arbeiten. Das heit: bei der 256GB Karte zeigt er einfach an Card Error … danke dafr.
Und der zweite kleine Makel ist, dass der Kartenschlitz sich nicht so fest verschlieen lsst, wie ich es mir wnschen wrde. Sobald dort eine Karte drin steckt, sitzt der sehr locker und wenn ich mir vorstelle, dass das Teil in einer Hosentasche verschwindet und stndig bewegt wird, kann es sicher schnell passieren, dass das Verdeck einfach abbricht. Aber mal sehen …
Aber ja. das sind einfach kleine Dinge, die ganz nett sind, wenn man sie vorher wei. Vor allem die Sache mit dem Bundle hat mich gergert, da ich sonst keine Verwendung fr Micro SD Karten habe. Also AUFPASSEN, WAS FR BUNDLE IHR KAUFT.
Perfect for making YouTube videos as a fitness instructor. Still learning the best techniques to keep the mic & wires “hidden” but that’s just a learning curve for me & nothing to do with the mic.

The Tascam Dr10L has been in my gear back for a couple of years now. I saw an offer on Amazon and invested in another. I think its a great bit of kit with dual recording and a locked in cable for the microphone along with a tamper proof recording switch meaning there can be no ‘accidental’ turning off if a nervous groom is fiddling with it. Well worth the money

This thing is a god send for solo shooters or small teams that can’t hire a dedicated sound recordist for documentary style shoots. Stick it on and just hit record and it will go for hours. And it sounds spectacular. I especially love the dual recordings which simultaneously records two audio tracks at different volumes, which will save you when the audio is peaking.

Simple! Easy to use. And does exactly what it says. This is the perfect item for my creator kit. Works great post editing on my Mac.
The mic alone is worth half the cost of this unit. A good value. Two things to note : the belt clip is very tight and takes a lot of effort to open enough to slip it on to something, and the SD card can get stuck VERY easily if you insert it the wrong way and don’t catch your mistake almost immediately.
The battery door and general construction is a little on the flimsy side. Acceptable for the price but don’t expect to manhandle this. If durability is important for the cost you can buy two.
I use this for motovlogging with some cheap wind muffs slipped over the lav clip and once synced with the GoPro audio it really raised the production value. For the price this is very handy to have in your video arsenal.
I love this little recorder! Used it on several shoots. Last shoot i was on the battery leaked and wrecked it ! Not sure why. Really bummed since i love it. Has anyone else had this happen ?
This thing is so clutch. Easy to hide. Just hit record and forget it.
I’m a beginner when it comes to handheld mics, but this was so easy to set up and use. The recording is flawless. I had to adjust the DB levels, but the sound quality is amazing. This adds a professional touch to any YouTube video or other video.
Great item. I usually use Sony TX650’s to capture off camera audio but I needed something which could clip in view but not look strange. The sound quality is top draw.
There is no way the recording could be interrupted because it is not connected or transmitted to a camera. This is an all-in-one recording device with a lavalier mic attached to it. It also allows you to set it to a Dual record. So to my surprise, I was able to get two separate recordings that have different audio levels at the same time. NOTE: Be sure to get a micro sd card that is no higher than 32 GB because a higher GB card will not work.
Love the DR-10L and wish I had known about them sooner. Will be buying more.
This mic works very well, it’s relatively easy to use and the sound quality is fine. I just wish the clip for the mic could be adjusted or swivel so it would be easier for some applications. It’s important to note that you must buy a mini sd card for it.
Great little unit, audio quality is perfect. Love the back up recording that’s quieter incase of clips. Bit fiddly to use the small buttons, but no issues
Works really well! The included mic sounds great and the battery life is superb. I’ve been using it for about two months (about two hours a week) and haven’t needed to change batteries yet. My only complaint would be the included instructions. they’re not very good.
