The only problem was my own fault — the cable was bought to fit into a gap which which was rather tight for the 1.5 metre length, and I should have specified a 2 metre length, or posibly more? Otherwise, it was entirely satisfactory.
Saved me from buying a new printe
I bought a new router with lots of options and read that enabling WPS is not a good idea for security, so I decided to disable it and plugged in the old printer USB cable instead, which had always worked reliably in the past.
A few days went by before I needed to use the printer and it threw up an error message, but I found that switching the printer off and on seemed to fix it. Half an hour later all the lights were flashing with an error message that indicated low inks. This seemed plausible, so I bought a whole new set of eco-tank inks only to find similar issues, but frustratingly the error messages were variable.
The printer is 3 years old and I was mulling over whether to spend 250 on a new one or possibly send it to Epson as the one of the error messages indicated. I did some thinking and realised that the error had never occurred before switching from wifi to USB, so I temporarily enabled WPS and the error went away.
A quick visit to Amazon and I found this cable which looked good quality and arrived quickly. I plugged it in and it has worked flawlessly ever since. If you are having printer issues it’s worth checking the cable and not read too much into error messages.

Does the job as wanted would be nice if it was another 12 inches in length.

his does the job, connecting the printer to laptop / pc. we keep it connected so all the household can just use the printer by linking in. In some ways having a wired connection rather than relying on the wifi element of our printer is actually easier, and this cable is long enough to handle all our needs.

Used as midi cable for digital piano keyboard
Does what it says on the tin. I actually used this as a midi usb cable to hook my piano up to my pc so I could play virtual pianos. It worked perfectly. Now I am able to widen my choice of piano sounds and easily record and edit my tracks on the pc.

The cable has a plastic/rubber outercase and its black, the connections are gold plated, i would assume that all the internal wiring is correct as the product transfers the data from the item to the computer via a USB. It works. This is probably the best cable you can find if you require data to be transferred between the two compatible items. It works, its amazing. I love it. I slept with it next to me for the last three weeks. Im thinking of proposing to it, but im not sure if we are compatible?? I sprayed it with my data last night and it didnt do anything. Im wondering if it feels the same about me, its a bit limp, how ever its very bendy, which i found useful therefore its maliable for many needs. You could probably strangle something with it if you wanted, its versatile, good length, transfers data well.

Excellent cable
I bought mine to connect a Reg Fono Analogue/Digital converting phono amp from my Rega record deck to my computer. this is to convert vinyl recordings to burn CDs on my computer. Even expensive cables can give noise problems but not this UGreen cable. Very impressed.

Was looking for a short lead and this fits the bill! Well made and sturdy, unlike some other flimsy leads i have purchased in the past. It is a good sturdy well made thick lead that you know will last and should stand up to many years of plugging in and out and wriggling and folding…very happy!

I’m a fan of Ugreen products. They cost a little bit more than some other manufacturers, but not a lot more and you know what you are getting for your money.
This is well made, using quality components, and looking at it I just know I’m going to get solid performance with no data drop and it won’t need replacing for the life of the printer, so it’s one thing less to worry about.

A quality cable that does what’s expected.
I bought this cable to connect my latest-build PC to a USB2 hub whose supplied lead was unfortunately too short for my set-up. I decided to go for this Ugreen cable which came supplied in a robust zip-lock type bag with an enclosed thank-you card, extra little touches which I think are always good to see.
Quality-wise this cable really is very good indeed. The connectors at each end of the cable are gold plated and have a good build quality which results in a nice snug fitting into their respective sockets without any noticeable slackness or wobble. The shielded cable it’s self is also of good quality being noticeably more robust that cheaper cables but without being overly thick or rigid.
Function-wise the cable has proved totally reliable providing a USB2 connection at full date rate without any drop-out or disconnect events what-so-ever. All in all an excellent cable that does what it’s supposed to do.
