This MOKiN docking station is a useful expansion peripheral for Thunderbolt-3 devices. On the product page, the manufacturer provides a list of laptops (not an exhaustive list) that the hub is compatible with, as well as a list of laptops (also not an exhaustive list) that the hub is not compatible with. If you’re in any doubt over whether your Thunderbolt-3 laptop is compatible with this docking station, I recommend that you contact MOKiN to check – prior to purchasing.

Build quality is decent but not as robust as many other comparable hubs on the market. I have a bunch of different docking stations at home and at work – most of these are manufactured from thicker aluminium alloy than that used in this MOKiN device. Constructing hub bodies from thicker aluminium alloy has two main benefits: (1) improved heat dissipation; (2) greater protection of interior components. This MOKiN 14-in-1 docking station is lighter and feels a little flimsier than most of my other ones.

Now, to function. The docking station lives up to the manufacturer’s claims. It allows simultaneous use of all ports without any noticeable slowdown (of data transfer) on any one particular port. As far as performance goes, that’s all you can really ask for in a hub.

The current Amazon price of 56.09 is about right for this product. The RRP of 65.99 was a bit high – for that price I’d expect a docking station with this one’s functionality but a considerably sturdier aluminium body.

This docking station is brilliant and has various ports to suit your needs!

11 IN 1 USB C Docking all ports have been tested and working fine.

    Some ports:
    HDMI
    PD
    VGA
    Ethernet
    USB 2.0

Feels really solid overall, a bit on the pricey side however.

I haven’t seen a docking station for the Apple Powerbook Pro (or any laptop with a USB-C port) with so many options. I can’t remember the last time I needed to connect via VGA – until I really needed to do it and this little port came through. Highly recommended.

Excellent USB-C hub for MacBook Pro units – drives two 27″ displays. We’ve tried several cheaper models from Amazon and this is the first one that just consistently works. Macs for some reason are finicky with two 27″ external monitors but this unit just works. I was referred to the brand by a Mac-only team at a very large global company, this is the only brand of accessories they buy besides Apple.

No more will you have to sit there unplugging and plugging, disentangling wires, rooting around under your desk and all the usual stuff that happens for this hub will keep everything organised for you. You get an ethernet port, an audio port, 2 HDMI 4k ports, 7 USB ports, an SD card reader, a TF card reader and a VGA port.
Is perfect for data transfer, connecting a mouse and a keyboard, view photos and videos from SD and TF card reader and so on. If you’re looking at this and you’re wondering if it’ll do what you want it to do the answer is almost certainly yes.

I had a simpler one of these which I was happy with for the last few years but it died after a power surge at home. This one replaced it and it’s even better. The build quality is excellent and it was absolutely plug and play to get it working. The range of ports is actually more than I really need but it’s good to know they’re all available when/if I do.

Everything I’ve plugged into it so far (Ethernet, HDMI monitor, 3.5mm audio, various USB devices and I’ve even charged my Chromebook withe the PD port – slow but it worked) has worked perfectly straight away. The only fiddling I had to do was to tell Windows which sound device to use, which is perfectly reasonable.

The only thing missing that I’ve seen on other similar models (but it was also missing from my old one) is an SD card reader.

Gone are the days of hunting for, installing and updating drivers for ages before things will work. Love it.

This is such an extensive docking station – very versatile and looks set to last a good long while of regular use.

It’s small, compact, and lightweight. Easily fits under a monitor and can be packed into a backpack or laptop bag to use in the office.

The ports are convenient and speedy. A good selection to be able to charge and connect multiple devices and PC accessories. I particularly love that an ethernet port is included as my Surface doesn’t come with one built-in, so I’d been having to use a separate hub to make use of an ethernet.

The 100W power delivery is excellent (and actually rivals so many other top-tier and more expensive docking stations). It makes quick work of pretty much any device that charges via USB-C. It works off the devices’ power supply, which means it doesn’t need a power adapter, but the 100W will decrease with more inputted devices.

At the time of writing this review, the hub is at 65.99, which is terrific value for money. I’d be happy to recommend it.

I’m using this hub as my number one travel companion: it is sturdy with a good looking matt grey metal finish. The logos are tastefully printed on the metal case. The case is fingerprint free.

The USB C cable has a solid moulded plastic reinforced ring connection to join the cable to the body of the device. In the month that I have owned the device, I have used it every day plugging and unplugging it into my laptop and storing it in my laptop bag multiple times a day.

The ethernet connection is very good – I am getting the full internal speed of my work network (1000Mbps) with no drops or fallout and excellent handover from WiFi to ethernet when I plug the ethernet cable into the hub.

The three USB 3.1 ports work as expected – very good USB 3 speeds that are noticeably faster than the to USB 2 ports. I use the two USB 2 ports for mouse and external keyboard and the USB 3.1 ports for webcam and scanner.

The HDMI outputs – there are two of them – support multi screen arrangements. I’ve used both ports simultaneously on Mac and Windows (Lenovo laptop) using 1440p @ 30Hz. The Mac doesn’t support the hub’s MST mode allowing for two different desktops to be displayed using the two monitors. It is really frustrating that I can do this using the Windows on the Mac via Bootcamp but not when using macOS! This is a frustrating limitation of macOS and not a limitation of the hub. If you want two separate displays for macOS you’ll need a Thunderbolt dock or a USB C o HDMI adapater.

I’ve only used two monitors for testing puposes and because my main nachine is a Mac there isn’t much point without macOS supporting the hub’s MST mode.

I’ve managed to damage equipment in the past by using a USB C hub and making the silly mistake of plugging a powered USB device into the hub’s USB 3.1 port. I don’t know what the overcurrent protection is in this hub and I can’t see mention of it in the instructions.

The charging pass-through USB C port works well and charges my Macbook and my Lenovo laptop as well as a direct USB C power adapater connection as far as I can tell.

The thing I like most about the hub are the fact that it has a very good ethernet port/chipset that gives great speeds on internal networks and works perfectly with Windows and Mac. The handover between WiFi and ethernet is very fast. The lub is lightweight and sturdy – it fits into my laptop bag easily and becasuse I like to carry a very small bag it doesn’t have a huge amount of space. In terms of dimensions it is not very high/deep and so it fits nicely without adding bulk to the bag.

It adds huge functionality especially to a Macbook Air with its meagre number of ports. The heafphone/speaker jack works well with 3.5mm CTIA headphones/mic combinations. I use a USB microphone and a separate 3.5mm headphone each plugged into the hub.

I would definitely recommend the hub and I think it is well worth the extra cost for an ethernet compatible hub – the quality of connection especially when using video call services is, I’ve found, much better and more reliable than even good with WiFi. Th benefit is also that when using the hub’s ethernet connection it is possible to perform internal file transfers without video call lag.

    Pros:

    – nice looking hub with smudgeless finish

    – excellent range of ports including two HDMI ports, separate VGA (up to 1080p), 3.5mm headphone/mic port, USB ports and charging pass-through

    – network lights on ethernet port

    – reassuringly strongly moulded cable joint between cable and body of hub

    – clearly colour coded USB hubs to distinguish between 3.1 and 2.0 (orange for USB 3.1 ports)

    – lightweight and slim with easily portability not taking up much laptop bag room

    – good instructions and clearly described customer support contact options

    Cons:

    – I would like to have seen some mention of overcurrent protection for incorrectly plugged-in USB powered devices/cables

    As described and as advertised.

Lightweight yet well made – feels robust.

Good port range starting with triple display (dual HDMI and VGA); x3 USB3 ports; x2 USB2 ports; ethernet port; SD and MicroSD and audio port.

we really like the 100W charging port – not on some of the cheaper docking stations.

Supports MST and SST display modes. SST monitors feature scalers that support 4K resolution at 60 Hz over a single tile rather than splitting between two tiles. Your display devices will need to support SST too.

Doesn’t heat up as much as others we have tried.

More expensive than others but high build quality and wide range of ports.

This is a very good hub. LOTS of ports! Ideal for working from home and making a proper desktop set-up. Our standard machine at work is Microsoft Surface. The docking station is light weight and a small form factor so can easily fit into your backpack if you need it on the move or sit nicely on your desktop ready to just plug and go, personally I have it attached using some command Velcro pads. One on the dock and one on my desk. This is a great way to prevent it moving about without damaging your desk and still allows portability when required.

The range of outputs is nice allowing for multiple additional devices to be used while your laptop is docked. The dock feels well made and it should last a long time.

A great all in 1 “hub” for any one who’s on the go and needs to take their connections with them. Also great for when you want to have a whole bunch of connected stuff switched from one machine to another.

The smooth rounded edges of the hub ensure that it doesn’t scratch anything up while inside your bag, and it’s really light weight too! It’s got a nice finish to it and seems well built. I’ve used the hub mainly with two scenarios in mind.

The first scenario is when taking the laptop into work. I plug in my USB wireless mini dongles for mouse and keyboard, and leave them in. When I get to work, I plug the single USB C connector to the laptop, connect the display to the hub, and if needed, I can charge the laptop through the hub using my USB C charger. This let’s you also hook up any additional devices you might need while working, such as storage or a 2nd additional screen. What’s really great is if you don’t want to bring along a power supply, the hub and it’s connected devices can be powered directly by the laptop instead. I also really appreciate the older style VGA connector as some of the screens I’m hooking up to can’t have their HDMI connections removed.

The 2nd scenario I find this to be quite useful for, and the scenario I’m benefiting from the most, is leaving everything at my desk plugged into the hub. Mouse, keyboard, SD card, display out, USB HDD, camera, network, etc, all left plugged in. I also leave my USB C 100w charger connected to the hub, and then I can switch between my two personal laptops and have everything at my finger tips, including power for the laptop, all through one single USB C connection. I have a monitor with a similar functionality in it which works great, but when working from home, I don’t like to have my personal peripherals popping up on the work machine, so it’s great to have this additional hub which I can use to separate my work from my personal life, and it does a great job of it.

I haven’t had any issues with the hub at all, and it doesn’t get too warm when all connected up. It works really well in both those scenarios for me, and I’m sure there’s multiple other scenarios where people might need to have this kind of all in 1 hub, and I’m confident it would do a good job. Given the price, it’s a very good option. 4K 30Hz might be something that could hold some people back, productivity people mostly I guess, so a 4K 60Hz option would be nice for an extra 20 or something like that.

    Happy to recommend!

A docking station in brushed aluminium on a plastic chassis: It is designed for laptops with a USB ‘C’ input, and features the following outputs:

    1. Dual HDMI 4K Ports
    2. VGA
    3. RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Port
    4. Audio Port
    5. USB C PD port
    6. USB-C
    6. SD Card Reader
    7. TF Card Reader
    8. 3 x USB 3.0 Ports
    9. 2 x USB 2.0 Ports

This is the biggest and most useful hub I’ve ever seen, and has the advantages of both a handy ethernet port and a VGA port for older devices.
This, then, should be enough for most needs after you have maxed out the ones on your laptop, enabling you to, for instance, run an additional three screens. There are, supposedly, all sorts of accelerating doohickeys inside the device to speed up charging and transmission speeds, but I can’t say I noticed any difference. But the same would be said about any of the hubs I own, which all seem more or less identical to each other but with different randomly-generated brand names. Which of course brings up cost – This is a great, highly functional hub, but I do think they are all more or less the same, so it might well pay to shop around given the wide variations in price.

The Mokin USB-C docking station is the best of its type I’ve used having gone through nearly double digit dongles in my years with MacBook Pros.

The box is pretty standard for these sorts of dongles containing specs of each of its 11 ports. Given a couple of grammatical errors on the box I didn’t have my hopes super high. To confirm from the listing the dongle has: 3 USB 3.1 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, a USB-C inbound charging port (supports up to 96W for MacBook Pros), a gigabit ethernet port, a 3.5mm audio & headphone jack, 2 HDMI ports (note only one supports 4k 60hz) and remarkably a VGA port too (just in case you’re hooking up your 3000 laptop up to a 1990s display!!

I was suspicious that the dongle would actually output 4k 60hz as have had many dongles which have stated this in the past and not delivered, or at least it was a pain to set up. I hadn’t ever seen a dongle that only took up one USB-C port have this capability either. This however worked straight away! If you connect your laptop (providing it is DP 1.4 compliant), use a HDMI 2.0 or above cable and your screen supports it, then it outputs at 4k 60hz straight away with no issue.

I left the dongle hooked up all day with a couple of usb devices and a HDMI cable and using it to charge through to the laptop and found that it didn’t even get more than warm to the touch.

Overall, this is a more pricey dongle than some on the market but am convinced that this is worth it having had so many issues with dongles half this price. Highly recommended.

Very rare for a 4k 60hz single USB-C dongle. Great!

This has replaced my older USB hub and become an essential part of my IT diagnostic daily carry. I’m finding USB C is supported by pretty much all the machines I need to access and this is a true ‘MacGyver’ level catch-all. From VGA output to MicroSD reading, along with plenty of USB type A ports, and a LAN port. Under a full days use the unit becomes warm to the touch, but the aluminium shell casing seems to do a good job of working like a heat sink to radiate the heat away more effectively than my old plastic version which used to stop responding if it got too hot. Highly recommended piece of kit, great for diagnostics

This is a great docking station, it has so many ports for such a compact size. The docking stations we use at work are double in size and have around 8 ports.
For the last couple of days I have been using it with my MacBook to extend the screen while working at home and I had no issue with it whatsoever. It should work with any computer with a type C connection.
It can also be used to charge through so there is no need to use the port of the pc.
I am very happy with it so far, expensive but good quality and does exactly what it says.

This docking station is the biggest one I have tested, in terms of available ports. This is a beast.

There’s no point in listing all the ports as several people have done so, but the sheer amount of options this opens up your laptop to is impressive.

Using thunderbolt 3, overall port throttling shouldn’t be a problem you’d need to worry about, this can comfortably handle many active connections.

I actually ran out of devices to plug into this whilst trying to push it as far as it could go, so it’s beaten me!

    Made very nicely too.

This is only one of those things that you’d but once in your lifetime, I don’t see the need to replace this anytime in the future!

You can find the odd hub with more ports (at substantially more cost), most of us will find that 11 ports on this hub are more than sufficient. I’ve always been frustrated at the lack of ports on my MacBook, so a USB-C hub like this will help increase my options.

It has a range of USB-A and USB-C ports in addition to Ethernet and headphone jack. Some of us could benefit from the VGA port when connection to legacy devices. Not only is there an SD port (which helps me in my line of work) but also a Micro SD card to help transfer images from a mobile phone. Honestly, it’s got more ports than I’d ever need. So I’m very happy with it!

    Thank you for reading.

When first taking this hub out of it’s packaging I first noticed that the casing is a mix of metal and plastic. Normally that would be a big negative for me and the product would be rated low. However, this hub is well designed so the plastic part of the casing actually compliments the metal and the two blend in well.

There are more than enough ports on this hub and there is a now uncommon but handy port for many people. That uncommon port is a “serial port” which apart from being in wide use in industry still it is almost obsolete in the domestic market. Why I say it is “handy” is because there are still many peripherals still in use in households and have serial ports. Old printers, mice and many monitors are still being used even though the transfer of data is much slower than USB, ethernet and HDMI.

Devices like this are environmentally friendly as they keep old equipment, that still works well, in use rather than the equipment being sent to landfills and incinerators. Some equipment, that is not too old, may have both a serial port and a USB port so it would be obvious to use the USB but older models will only have a serial port and up to date PCs / laptops no longer have such a port on them. That is where this hub really comes into play. It can actually save money by preventing the wastage of dumping a still useable product and replacing it.

Moving away from the serial port the next best thing is that this has five |USB A ports. Yes, that is correct, it has five. Two of the USB ports are once again for o0lder peripherals as they are USB 2.0 ports, with the other three being a more up to date but not the latest USB 3.0. USB 4.0 is now the latest spec but it being rather slow on the take up with most peripheral manufacturers sticking to 3.0 even though they can use 4.0 due to it being backward compatable with 3.0 and 2.0. To see which version USB your peripherals are simply look inside the interface, at the solid coloured block. If the interface has a white block then the peripheral is 2.0, if it’s blue it’s 3.0 and 4.0 is purple. I have seen it many times, people not knowing their USB versions and running USB 3.0 devices connected to the slower 2.0 ports. Peripherals aren’t efficient if they are being slowed down. So, there are two slower USB A ports and three of the faster v3.0 ports thus thye oldest peripherals can be connected to the 2.0 ports with more up to date ones such as wired keyboards USB printers and even monitors that support v3.0 being connected to the best available ports.

Staying with USB technology, this comes with a USB C port for connecting mobile phones and tablets to it.

The last thing I want to mention is the card reader… New PCs and laptops haven’t had card readers installed for some years now and internal card readers have almost become obsolete. However, as industry has attempted to force consumers to use a Cloud for storing data and or USB memory sticks it has failed as memory cards SLR aven’t fell in popularity as they are cheap and so convenient. Many consumers have SD cards in cameras, security cameras, mobile phones, smart phones, tabletsaudio players etc. but sadly the SD cards are not as convenient as they could be due to PC manufacturers cutting costs and not installing readers. Once again, this hub comes into play as one can connect it to a PC use the card reader and upload / download content to and from the card.

There is also an ethernet port on this hub so one can use this at one end of a PoE link. Simply plug a HDMI lead into one of the HDMI Ports, connect anj ethernat cable and have a Ethernet to HDMI adapter at the other end and one can extend a HDMI link to a good 30m up to a maximum of 50m via ethernet. However, the USB connection to a PC will not have enough power so the PoE powered adapter should be at the far end of the link.

These hubs are saving consumers billions of s, $s and othe currencies every year as it is more feasable to buy a good hub rather than spend 100s or even 1,000+ buying a new PC and new peripherals simply becaus manufacturers force it.

I am recommending this hub as it’s a great problem solver, it can help with the use of older peripherals and SD cards, it can extend the maximum distance for HDMI via ethernet, it is well built and of good quality, it can save money and it is good value.

great little dock for adding extra ports for peripherals and memory cards does not get warm and looks the part aswell, price wise it is dear for what it is but does add a lot of functionality

This is well made and surely allows me for a huge amount of flexibility. Some have a TF/SD card also included but with that I would have had to sacrifice USB ports or video exits.
At 65 surely it is not cheap but for this quality and flexibility it is in line with other and surely it works as described.

Many laptops and tablets now come with fewer ports to save space. With USB-C being so talented though, all you need is one of these to give you all the ports you could want.

This isn’t a cheap device, but it’s very well made and works flawlessly. I’ve plugged it into my Dell Latitude (a small 13″ screen supplied by my workplace) and now I can run it on my twin 24″ 4K monitors with no real difference from my desktop. OK the refresh rate is slightly down on 4K but otherwise it’s surprisingly good.

Comes with a slightly short lead, so you’ll need a USB-C extension if you want this as a permanent fixture tucked away. It can look messy with all the leads attached and moves around a bit if thick HDMI cables aren’t staying where they should.

The only limitation is probably your computer/table, not this device.

I’m using this with my work laptop at home. One USB-C lead lets me connect my laptop quickly to:
    i. USB keyboard and mouse
    ii. headphones (via 3.5mm socket)
    iii. home network via ethernet
iv. two 2k monitors via HDMI
    v. USB-C high-power charger

These are all working perfectly – much more convenient than manually connecting everything every time I move to/from the office.

Connected this to my laptop to screen and works perfectly without any issue.

When plugged in, I would recommend putting your computer on a flat surface since there would a risk of damaging the type C connector if you caught it on your lap. This is due to it only having one point of connection, which will mean this is a real risk.

So far I haven’t had any issues with a USB data stick.

I got this because of these quality controls: stable output, temperature protection, anti-over-current and anti-short-circuit; Certified by CE, FCC, RoHS

Overall, it is a small, portable and very useful device that has allowed me to connect a lot more to my MacBook.

I have had a few of these Mokin hubs before but this is the one with the most connectivity. You get:

    1. Dual HDMI 4K Ports
    2. VGA
    3. RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Port
    4. Audio Port
    5. USB C PD port
    6. USB-C
    6. SD Card Reader
    7. TF Card Reader
    8. 3 x USB 3.0 Ports
    9. 2 x USB 2.0 Ports

With 2 x HDMI and a VGA, this will support a triple array set-up for Windows and Extended for Mac OS. That is assuming your laptop can cope. It would also enable you to connect and run a Pen Tablet, while still having full access to your two monitors. I can run DEX from my Samsung tablet if I so wish and on both of my monitors via this hub.

There is quite a bit of flexibility here in the setting up of your displays with the option of having two monitors + laptop display or having three monitors and no laptop screen. This does mean that you must take the resolution down to 1080p. If you want to utilise 4K, then it is two displays only.

The 15cm USB-C cable is quite thick and firm, with the connector being gold plated. There is a 100W PD fact charging port, that can easily take my 96W power supply. Meaning I can charge my laptop, tablet, and mobile phone simultaneously.

There is an array of USB ports for external drives, keyboard, etc and you can run both card readers at the same time. Transfer speeds are excellent. Given that USB 3.0 is backwards compatible, it does make me wonder why there is the inclusion of 2 x USB 2.0, rather than five USB 3.0 ports? Perhaps there is a technical reason for this.

I connected an external SSD and ran a Read/Write speed test and they maxed out as 423Mbs and 410Mbs. For me, that is sufficient performance. With a NVMe drive plugged into the USB-C port, max speeds were in the region of 1Gbps. I am unsure how they got the 5Gbps transfer rates, as I am unable to replicate their testing set-up. I will say that the max I have got out of any of these hubs is 1Gbps via the USB-C and 440Mbps via USB 3.0.

With the Ethernet port, not only can I hardwire my laptop but also my phone or tablet as well, rather than using Wi-Fi or my Data plan. Particularly useful if I am running DEX. I am unable to confirm the max speed of 1Gbps, as my broadband speed is approx. 75Mbps.

Charging rates were good, only dropping 6W out of a 65W fast-charger.

Overall, I think this is a great piece of kit, with rock-solid build quality and connectivity overload. If I were to be critical, I would have preferred to have had no USB 2.0 ports and more 3.0 or another USB-C.

I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.
NB. For a sizing guide, squares in photos are 1cm.

Excellent build quality and ports galore

A big change from old style laptop docking stations, this unit allows you to connect all types of commonly used peripherals which then connect through to your laptop via a USB-C cable. There is no setup required other than plugging things in, just take out of the box, plug in and way you go. I’ve tested this with a range of items such as mice, printers, video screens, external hard drivesand headphones, all worked without any issues. And I’m fining it particularly useful when I travel as my lightweight laptop only has one old style USB port and no card reader so I can use this to connect a mouse, headphones, USB stick and card reader all at the same time. Really useful.

This is ideal for a MacBook or a high spec PC Ultrabook with USB-C . So many top end products now have only USB-C connections making a hub like this not just an accesory but an essential!
Plug this into your USB-C socket and it has a replacement immediately available. In addition it has two HDMI sockets (ever wanted to run two screens?), 2 USB 2.0 type A and 3 USB 3.1 type A too. There is a single VGA socket, a 3.5mm microphone socket and most importantly an RJ45 ethernet socket. So this single hub will allow you to add wired internet to a wireless only device, as well as host of USB peripherals and a couple of monitors.
This is well made, designed to be compact and yet allow you all the connections you could possibly want – this is good value and a great investment!

A moderately-sized device that provides for almost every need owners of MacBooks (various more recent models), several Windows laptops and notebooks and some Chromebooks will or may sometime require. There are also several devices with which it is incompatible. The Amazon web page offers a list in both categories that need not be up-to-date as situations change frequently.

There is an information sheet which is, for the most part, well-phrased and easily understood. It includes not only information about the purpose of each port but additional information that may be of particular benefit to certain users, primarily Mac owners and a few others.

The “Docking Station Dual Monitor, 11 IN 1 USB C to Dual HDMI Adapter Laptop Docking Station USB C Hub to Ethernet Adapter with 2 HDMI, VGA, PD,Ethernet, 5 USB for MacBook, Dell, Surface” is an 11-in-1 solution that offers no fewer than three flavours of USB connectivity including 3 x 3.1, 2 x 2.0 and 1 USB-C (although as a power source only). It also offers 2 x HDMI either of which can support 4K at 60 Hz but 4K at 30 Hz if different screen images are simultaneously displayed – not supported by Macs – while only lower resolutions will be possible in other situations. The other available ports are a 3.5mm input & output audio jack, Gigabit Ethernet and a VGA video port and all 11 are individually labelled.

This combination of expansion ports is one of the most comprehensive yet seen, regardless of the size of a dock; one offering 12-in-1 is known although its specifics are not immediately recalled. There are omissions, the most obvious of which are a true USB-C pass-through, SD/TF card reader or DisplayPort although there are dock/hubs that offer one or more.

There are more affordable versions offering a more restricted range of connection options, but the additional variety and complexity available here demand a higher price. While all ports can be connected simultaneously, performance may suffer if the connected devices are all concurrently ‘live’ and functioning. It may have a secondary advantage as a ‘port saver’ if permanently connected to an appropriate portable computer. It is rare for more than 3 or 4 ports to ever be personally needed at any one time, often fewer, so that need not be a major issue.

Conversely, a price not far short of triple the price of this was previously paid for a branded product-specific dock with fewer expansion possibilities. That makes this almost a bargain.

This is a very flexible hub. On a basic level of adding usb slits this gives 3*usb3 and 2*usb2. You get a couple of hdmi which work to extend your work top in Windows. Plus wired internet and even 3.5 sound. Plus upto 100w power through which can charge your laptop and run HDD.

I am pleased with it. It is a little sharp on either end, but it is metal cased and feels substantial without being bulky. Lesser models are available for less, but this has you covered for most eventualities.

Perfectly tiny docking station which is working really well with my mother in law’s DELL laptop. Fully plug and play which is just what she needed.
The VGA socket was just as needed, and difficult to find on lots of other docking stations.

With COVID-19, I move between home an office work a great deal more than I used to. This allows me to leave a ‘docking station’ in place at home, so I only have to plug in the power and I have everything back in place. The only drawback, It only has a single HDMI but I’m only using a single extended monitor.

It probably isn’t hyperbole to say that there is very little you cannot plug into this docking station. It easily adds a number of USB ports as well as network and VGA ports to really expand your laptop. The aluminum body is incredibly tough and lightweight which means it is easy to carry around – I take it with me in my laptop bag which easily accommodates it.

It manages to work with no noticeable reduction in speed for any of the ports I did have some challenge with the VGA socket but this was more likely due to the software on my laptop rather than a problem with the docking station.

One important point with using a port such as this is the connection between the USB cable and the port itself. On this device the cable is very secure and looks like it will take a significant amount of plugging in and out which, as this is being sold as a laptop device, is going to happen.

Overall this is a well made, great to use product.

This docking station may be a bit on the pricey side, but it is well made and sturdy. The casing is made of aluminium and is very robust

My Dell laptop does not have many ports and I needed more as I use a wireless mouse and keyboard amongst other things.

The last one I had was plastic rubbish and couldn’t function if I used all the ports. No such trouble with this one. Plugged into my laptop charging my phone, my mouse jiggler, my wireless mouse and dongle and functioned great. In total you can plug in 6 devices and when tested all functioned well.

Everything functioned normally when I used with my various applications and there was no lagging and more importantly it didn’t keep cutting out or making the sound you get when normally connecting a cable to a device , something my previous cheaper ones kept doing.

It supports other functions which I don’t particularly need like data transfer but it’s reassuring that this station has the do it all!

    The device ports include:

    2 x USB 3.0 Ports
    1 x USB Port
    1 x 4K HDMI Port
    1 x SD Port
    1 x Micro SD Port

I have a DELL but it is compatible with a wide range of devices.

It’s cable isn’t as long as I’d have liked but it’ll do!

I would recommend and hope you find this review helpful

There’s every sort of port you will need on this docking station.
Most laptops have limited connection points and I don’t want to keep buying different adapters to suit my needs.
It’s plug and play, so no faffing about, installing software.
Whilst it’s light and easy to fit in a laptop bag, it’s also very sturdy due to its aluminium shell.
Definitely worth investing in if you have a varied range of tech and gadgets with different connections.

More often than not, when it serves the purpose then it’s a really good product. I already have an adapter or you may call it a similar docking station but this one provides many more options. It provides 2 x HDMI, 5 USB (2 x 2.0 and 3 x 3.0), 2 x USB-C(1 for power), 1 x MicroSD and 1 x SD, 1 x VGA, 1 x Ethernet and 1 x 3.5 mm audio jack. I have not yet tried multiple monitors but they all seem to work with my 2019 12″ MacBook Pro and powering is not an issue.
I don’t even remember the last time I used a VGA but the Ethernet port still comes in handy in some customer premises. The wire is a bit longer than earlier one I have, which is nice as I mostly need it for travelling. I was using MicroSD jackets earlier to access micro cards in SD slot so that hassle goes away for me. It is just a very useful multi-purpose handy device, portable, light in weight, and matches my MacBook colour. The material is quality and it didn’t get hot which also gives a bit of satisfaction towards any device you use. I will recommend it. At the time of review this product was available for 56

This has every port you’ll ever need, for now, so there’s nothing you can’t connect to your laptop, or other devices) with this docking station.
For example, HDMI, all the USB on the market, SD card, micro SD card. Even VGA and Ethernet.
It all connects using a USB-C connector, although you can get adapters if you want it to connect to something other than a USB-C.
Connecting is simple, just push it into the USB-C port on your device and away you go. As I said, you can get adapters so this can plug into something other than a USB-C.
Once connected the speeds are as expected, with no annoyance or frustration.
I do have to say that the case for this does look and feel a little cheap, flimsy even. But it’s stronger than it looks and manages to remain cool even after long periods of use.
I only use this to connect to my laptops but it can be used to connect to a 2nd monitor, using VGA if HDMI and more.
In all, a great, easy to carry and very useful device when it comes to connection everything to your PC and more. Well worth investing in as it will come in handy more times than you think.

This 14 in 1 USB-C docking Station comes in a smart looking retail carton. Inside, the docking station looks awesome! The docking station feels lightweight and pleasing to the eye. The unit is made from lightweight cold feeling grey satin anodised aluminium alloy shell. The docking station may be lightweight but its incredibly strong.
It has all the ports that I need and only needs to be plugged into one USB-C port on ones phone or computer.
This high specification docking station enables me to connect all my high speed computer, monitors and accessories to it and it performed better than I had expected. Even my super fast broadband connection works fantastic through this docking station on my mac book.
The unit is lightweight and very portable and any memory sticks plugged into it works as fast and interuption free. The Dock can use multiples of different peripherals and work great!
All the ports are precise and USB-C cable is perfectly made and plugs in nice and snug.

This docking station dual HDMI works as expected with no any errors.
I have to admit that this is really all in one device.
Support triple displays for windows system laptops. With 3x USB 3.0 ports (up to 5Gbp/s) connect smartphones, tablets, hard drives for effortless data transfer with USB-C port, plus provide 2USB 2.0, speed up to 480mb/s, and it allows you to connect keyboard or mouse without any lag. SD TF card reader (speed up to 104 Mbp/s) for USB-C/type-C/thunderbolt three devices to access files from SD/TF card reader, quickly view your photos or videos.
What’s the best that you won’t need to install any software or driver to start using, just plug and you can start using.
The data transfer is really good even when you plug in few devices in same time.
This is universal docking station because support many different devices.
The price at the moment is only (56.09) and i can easily say that this is very good price.

This is a high-quality product. It’s plug and plays so on connecting to my laptop I have additional five USBs A, two USB C, two HDMI, one VGA, one RJ45, one 3.5 jack and SD cards slots. It also comes with a quick guide although it’s very simple to use. The only slot missing in my is a DP input which I had in one of my monitors so ended up using an HDMI convertor.

I’m used to working with multiple screens so I wanted something compact, so easy to travel, and that can give me additional HDMI and VGA ports to connect with a couple of extra screens. The other thing which makes this docking station special is that it has a separate power input slot using one of the USB C, which enables to power up the laptop straight from this docking station. However, I had to buy a high Watt charger separately for this which cost another 30 quids.

Overall the aluminium shell gives it extra protection and it does what it says so full rating from me.

I do hope this review helped you.

I already use a hub on my new PC which has a distinct shortage of USB ports and no card reader. This multi-port hub instantly adds 2 x USB2 ports (ideal for keyboard and mouse thus freeing up a valuable USB3 port on the ‘puter), 2 x HDMI so I can now run additional screens, 3 x USB3 ports for connecting an external DVD drive and for fast-charging USB devices eg phone, tablet while also reading data from them and importing files, photos and video. The USB-C port replaces the USB-C port I’ve used on my desktop to connect the hub while a second PD port is used for phone/tablet/laptop powering and charging (but not data transfer). There’s also a SD plus separate micro-SD card reader too and a 3.5mm jack plug for connecting headphones or a microphone. Yes, absolutely everything an advanced desktop or laptop user could need for powering, charging and transferring data between multiple devices. I didn’t instantly spot the ethernet and VGA ports but these are not something I would use with wireless connections and HDMI for monitors.

In some cases, a lower-spec PC or laptop might not have sufficient power to use all of the ports simultaneously so it will be a case of trial and error while experimenting but even if not every port is available, this hub is still a significate upgrade for a more basic machine and when they do all work this is a terrific upgrade to any system. My low-spec, low-budget home PC struggles to power them all but when connected to the office Dell laptop, all ports are available simultaneously for high-speed multi-tasking with two monitors in use.

Build quality is good with a sturdy aluminium outer casing and substantial connection lead. I wish the latter was braided and a little longer so I could place it on the top of my tower unit because it does become warm/hot in use. I stand it on end resting on the ethernet and VGA ports so it has all sides exposed for easy cooling and this ensures it doesn’t become too hot when almost every port is in use.

Provides a multitude of connections from just the single USB C plug – provides 2 4K HDMI, VGA, 2 USB 2, 3 USB 3, Gigabit ethernet, SD card reader, Micro SD card reader, USB C, 3.5mm audio and up to 100W PD input ports. The PD port allows a USB C charger to be connected to provide power to the laptop through the same dock cable.

Provides all the connections that you no longer seem to get with laptops and allows all your devices and peripherals to be connected to the dock and just the dock disconnected when moving from the home office to the work office or similar. Works just fine.

This works like a champ. I now have two extra monitors for my MacBook (laptop screen and two HP monitors) and they all can have different views. So far, the best thing I love about this device is that, well, it just worked! Seriously, I’ve got it plugged into my USB-C port of my laptop, running 1 screen and hooked up to 1 HDMI monitor and another USB 3.0 monitor, plus my USB wireless keyboard and mouse. Everything seems to run great. I will admit it would be nice if the cable on the unit was a little longer so that I could hide it but nevertheless it does the job so scant complain too much.

I did try the wired ethernet connection which when it worked the wired connection ran at 280MB + on my 300MHz modem/router. But it wouldn’t stay connected long term. After an hour or 2 It would keep disconnecting and causing problems. I didn’t really need the ethernet connection port but it would have been nice to have faster connections.

I now have quite a few devices connected up just to this one box and I am surprised it hasn’t overheated on me. i will say it does get warm to the touch but surely thats expected, especially the amount of demand you are putting on it. It is worth noting that this will not connect at 4K 30 HZ to the 4K TV, but instead the highest resolution is 2560 x 1440 @ 59 Hz which is actually better for my purposes. My monitors are only 1440 so this was fine by me and I didn’t really need high frame frames as this is pretty much for work purposes anyway.

All in all a great little device that offers everything you need in one place. I wish the cable was a little longer and the lan port a bit more stable but I will say for the majority out their it will serve a great need.

    Hope this review helped.

This brilliant device has more than met my expectations.
Plugged into my gaming laptop’s sole Thunderbolt 3 port, I can now use multiple peripherals without the need for constant plugging and unplugging.
For copying large files into my video/picture/audio library this is perfect.
Just tried streaming video to my large monitor and works fine with negligible delay – should be great for gaming.
Only very minor criticism is that, unlike the disk and hard drive in my photo, the Mokin docking station doesn’t have any rubber feet underneath its rather tinny body. That’s no big deal though.
There are cheaper hubs/docking stations out there, but I doubt they’re as versatile as this.
    Excellent product.

Probably the only hub you'll ever need
