XGIMI Halo+ Portable Projector, Native 1080p Full HD Video Projector for Home & Outdoor, Android TV 10, Automatic Screen Alignment, 900 ANSI Lumens, Voice Control, 2* 5W Harman/Kardon Speake
This is a very good projector. I was looking for a projector that has a built-in smart TV system as well as a horizontal keystone correction. The product satisfies both.
Compare with other brands, such as ViewSonic or benQ, the projector has a very good price-quality ratio.
You do not need anything else to watch Youtube or Amazon Prims vieeo. You will need a TV box or Fire TV sticks for Netflix.
If you are a Chinese living in the UK, yes this TV box can broadcast CCTV5 if you understand what I am talking about.

Amazing picture, easy software to use, the control is super helpful.
The best thing is that the projector remains SILENT even after 3hrs playing and having it next to me.
The integrated speaker is more than enough for indoor use.
The brightness is acceptable, will not be able to see outdoors on a sunny day, but much than any other portable projector I have seen.

The product was easy to set up and the quality was great. We could easily project from an angle and the battery lasted 3+ hours. Overall great product.
Did a fair bit of research, plus wasted time buying what seemed like a great cheap alternative (it wasn’t), but settled on this. Bought it primarily as a work projector for presentations etc, but know I’ll use it lots for other things.
– Clear, bright picture (it’ll display in a lightish room, but really the darker the better if you want any detail)
– Intuitive settings, though the workaround for iOS isn’t ideal, perhaps (but it works, at least). You can of course download the Apple TV app to stream any films you already have.
– Sound ok – had expected more to be honest, but very easy to connect to something beefier.
Was undecided then this appeared with 150 off, so went for it, glad I did, to have a simple home cinema and giant games console in the dining room, tbh I’ve not stopped smiling.
The idea of it is great, it’s a neat little portable unit with good sound but to use it outside you need a very dark space otherwise you can’t see it. The sound is good considering the size of it. It’s disappointing that Netflix, iplayer and itv player won’t work on it but Disney+, YouTube, Spotify and amazon prime work well

Brilliant picture. We use this when camping watching movies outside and playing bowling on the Wii. Back home it’s used in our bedroom. I bought a cheap grey blackout blind which works great.

we got this on prime day, it came next day , super fast ! we had been searching for a while for a projector, always worry the little ones are not as steady as the fixed ones. Give it a bet & got this, & we bet it right ! we didn’t expect this petite box has brought us that much joy, youtubes, Netflix & prime video & link with your phone & many more APPs, deadly easy to operate, the sound is super, like in a cinema round , picture zoom out almost the whole wall, it is still very clear, although the sunset is late in the summer , room is not dark enough, but the picture is still very clear. the best part is it is so small & portable, no cable needed once you charged it, you can take any room any where you want. I will recommend anyone who is willing to buy a projector, its super good quality , it will reach or even over your expectations! don’t forget buy the stand as I did, the customer service sorted me out efficiently, its the best buy with our lately spendings .

Bought the Halo, as Xgimi pro + would not find the HDMI connection(shame as the rest of it was faultless) .
Doesn’t auto correct keystone like the xgimi Pro +, but simple enough to sort out .. However works great on my computer for zwift /Bkool, real Boyz toyz sound and picture is great from this little box. Worth the buy. Simple to set up uses Android TV, can’t get I player or itv hub to work, but there is a work around for Netflix. I

For the money this projector offers excellent features.
The brightness is top notch for a battery powered projector and I was able to use it in the garden before it was totally dark and still get a good picture.
The sound quality from the built in speakers is good considering the size of the device and the placement but I
have paired a couple of Bose Soundlink Micro speakers to get better stereo separation.
The image quality is impressive and automatic keystone adjustment is almost perfect.
I have been projecting a 78″ image and the 1080P image has been superb. The projector is rated for much larger images but whether the quality will deteriorate to a noticable level is unclear.
Battery life is excellent and I did get around the 4 hours quoted. After the battery low indicator came on I still had a significant amount of time before the projector went off.
The initial setup, configuration, and usability is simple and the Kodi interface is friendly to use.
On the base of the projector there is a standard 1/4″ thread so you can use virtually any camera tripod to mount
it.

Looks modern (we ordered the Xgimi stand) and just works so well with our 100″ outdoor screen. Feels well made and very solid.
Works well with USB movies as well as our 4K Fire Stick (although we use the apps like Prime more).
Supports our Bluetooth sound bar and sub too. The built in speakers are actually very good for the size – just lack the bass for movies.
Yes it’s a mobile projector so you need to use this during/after dusk – but at least it’s 800 ANSI lumen rating is more realistic than others that state 8000 lumen – it’s pretty good!!
We have used it indoors and had the screen over 160″ – still very bright and clear in a dark room on a white wall.
I would have liked a lens cover though. That’s my only criticism. I’ve yet to try it on battery only mode.
This projector is excellent! The picture and sound quality are of a really high standard, it’s easily portable and connecting is simple. You can download apps to run Prime, Disney and other streaming services, so it’s great for home cinema. If you want to use if for presentations, then it will can screen mirror your IOS device and will show your presentations.
The seller is fantastic, really friendly and responsive.

I bought this product last summer and it has been absolutely brilliant. The picture quality and image calibration (for when the projector is at an angle) has been excellent. It is bright enough to see even not in a completely dark room and the integrated speakers do a good enough job even to use it as a portable speaker.
Given the quality of the product and the customer service I would definitely recommend

Have now been sent a replacement unit and works as I had originally hoped. The device is absolutely now it works. Can’t give 5 stars based on my original experience. Should also note using outside requires a screen and heavy shade otherwise you can’t see the image.

Very pleased with the halo after weeks of research and returning the ViewSonic X10-4K, which despite being twice the price was not twice as good. The view sonic fans were loud, it was bulky, overheated and had very limited adjustment options, like no zoom or horizontal lens shift, so you had to position it exactly in the right place. The aptoide gui was also horrible to use. I had a fan fault so I returned it and I’m so glad this happened. I’m highlighting all this because the halo is better in every regard apart down resolution. The android tv is great, you can’t hear the fans, it’s truly portable, it’s bright enough, and the 1080p picture is great, despite it not being 4K (the view sonic picture and colour pop is superior but I’m still happier with the halo overall). It also has zoom, and lens shift so you can perfectly adjust the screen size without needing to move the projector. Well done XGIMI.

Things I like :
-Best in category and price range
– Amazing picture quality @1080p and Ultra HD up scaling is amazing too.
-Auto Focus and Keystone correction make setup anywhere hassle free. Does not need to be kept right in front of the screen.
-3D function is a treat with the right file and glasses(need to spend extra on the Active shutter glasses)
– Brightness good enough in dark or mildly lit rooms
– inbuilt speaker good enough to fill up medium sized room
– Inbuilt Android Tv 9 is a big boon. Have been using mine connected to Fire TV stick though.
– Remote functions easy to use.
– Good build quality. Not plasticky at all.
– Virtually noiseless

I just bought the Xgimi Halo. This is my second projector from Xgimi. The product is great and picture perfect. I found the customer service excellent and very helpful. 5 stars.
I was struggling to find several key points which were critical for me when I was looking for a projector, especially how good it is for gaming. So I decided to write this review and to answer all these questions important for me and simply condense together all personal pros and cons:
Pros:
– amazing picture quality, bright enough and more importantly contrast is amazing, which allows you to see the depth of black even on a white wall
– official Android TV 9.0 works perfectly, tons of useful apps incl Amazon TV, Apple TV, Youtube, Netflix (read cons) and etc
– it’s built-in with a good CPU powerful enough to run 4k in 60fps without problems (which might be not a case for cheap projectors), also works great with external SSD storage and run heavy movies
– even if you use keystone correction, the edges of the image are not blurred (as may happen with cheap projectors), but rather remains sharp and focused, also it uses autofocus over time while lens heating to keep the image sharp, also if you move it uses autofocus
– great choice for games, Input lag: ~43.1 ms of delay in “Game” mode (it is better than similar projectors for this money), but keep in mind that Game mode doesn’t work if you use keystone correction. Works perfectly with Google Stadia
– decent sound quality and also works perfectly with external speaker Google Home Max by Bluetooth connection
– great quality remote control with voice control and Bluetooth connection
– outstanding service, if you have any questions you can ask them directly via email or even Instagram to get all up to date information and support
– manual keystone correction, which might be a downside, but I prefer to set up it manually for the better result
Cons
– the picture is directed slightly upward, which may be a plus, but it is a disadvantage for me because it stands on a high shelf and I use the manual as a stand for correction
– the ‘Games’ mode doesn’t work if you use keystone correction as mentioned above
– you need to apply small extra efforts to set up Netflix, but in the end it works well (google it)

Wow what more could I say the picture quality is fantastic for such a small item, battery will last about 90 mins, by adding a fire stick you can have Netflix and Apple TV.
Sound quality is a 8 out of 10. Would highly recommend this projector for internal and external use.

For its designed purpose, a highly portable, wireless, rechargeable projector, you cannot go wrong.
This will not match the brightness of a wired 2000 digital projector, but we have used it inside and out after dark and it delivers a great picture.
The ability to stream directly from Netflix, Youtube, Prime, and from my home NAS is fantastic. Auto focus can be a bit temperamental if you use it on an uneven surface, but pop it into manual focus mode and all us good!
This is so quick to setup we are using it several times a week to watch footie or films.
Sat in our gazebo with a patio heater last week for my daughters birthday and watched Glastonbury from 2019, 120 inches on the gazebo wall with a bluetooth monster speaker paired over bluetooth. It was like being there in the front row.
Overall, slightly disappointed – not quite what one would expect for a 700 projector. Picture quality is great, but don’t look too closely at darker areas, there is a large amount of noise – this is something that I didn’t expect as my previous Passport M50 didn’t produce any.
HDR content looks beautiful when played using an app that supports it.
Brightness is enough to illuminate Blackpool though and the picture can be viewed durng the day reasonably well, obviously it lacks contrast during the day but it is viewable.
Auto focus can be quite annoying, the new update ( offered on first startup, I waited ) seems to make it focus continually – so I have turned off the depth focus, this appears to have fixed the issue.
The biggest problem, it comes pre-installed with ITV hub, but on opening tells me the producer of the equipment isn’t authorised (or words to that effect) and therefore the app will not run. This really impacts it’s usefulness, Netflix also requires a “hack” and installation of an intermediary software to run. I haven’t tried All4, BBC iPlayer or MY5 yet nor the freeview app <- as only My5 appears in the Google Play TV Store it seems. The others would need to be sideloaded and therefore not work quite as well as native Android TV apps.
I bought the projector during a 15% flash sale and still feel short changed by the lack of localised TV support on an Android TV box.

This projector has amazing picture quality, it’s actually HD unlike what other projectors claim to be. It also has some nice speakers that produce sounds loud enough to watch a movie in a spacious room by a busy road. I had previously bought a cheaper projector off amazon but returned it because the picture quality was so bad but this one is really good. It’s also bright enough that i can watch stuff during the day without having to close the blinds sometimes.
It also has built-in apps so you can stream shows without connecting it to another source such as a computer or tablet, although it does lack amazon prime, it still has netflix and Disney plus.

I shopped around for weeks, looking for the right size, quality, brightness and portability for a projector I could use both at my studio, and when giving lectures away from home base. Seeing great reviews for this one, I went ahead, knowing in advance there would be an issue with Netflix, but that there was an APK download workaround.
There was also controversy concerning battery life descriptor originally claimed, but this must have been corrected by the time I took delivery of mine, as I am able to run in Video Mode for over 2 hours 30 minutes, or 45 minutes at a manual setting of 100% Brightness on a single battery charge. Video mode is perfectly adequate and lights up a 92 inch screen area very well. On full power, it delivers a flawless, sharp, bright image.
Auto-focus works well on an even, flat white surface or screen, and although Keystone is not fully automatic in all directions, it can be manually tweaked once you get the hang of it. You can see how it looks projecting against my white bedroom wall in one of the attached photos.
I have also read some complaints about Customer Service in other reviews, however XGMI have been prompt in their replies to me, and they run an active Facebook users page, to which they post regular updates and respond to users in a timely manner. There have also been two firmware updates since I bought the Halo.
A word has to be said about the apps that come with the Halo. While there is a full installation and transport control for Amazon Prime using the supplied remote control, the same cannot be said for Netflix, and there is no native installation of BBC UK, or ITV UK or Channel 4 UK, nor is there a browser such as Chrome or Firefox native to the device that might allow access to subscriber sites. My workaround for all this has had to be to purchase an Amazon 4K Firestick, costing 50, after which the Halo remote controls the apps on the Firestick, and is necessary since the Firestick remote control doesn’t control volume on the Halo. Another slight annoyance is that the Firestick permanently occupies the HDMI and USB slots,as you can see from the attached image of the projector mounted on the XGMI floorstand, and so I hope that eventually all UK streaming sites will be native to the Halo.
Another issue I have noted is that the 3.5mm audio input doesn’t detect a cable already plugged into it at startup, and so it is necessary to boot the Halo first, and then insert the cable. The HDMI cable on the other hand is detected, and can be accessed using the Input button on the remote control.
I also purchased the tabletop stand, as in the attached, which I have reviewed separately, and the floor stand, also reviewed separately, right after this.
But for the issues with battery life and apps, I would have given the XGIMI Halo five stars, as it’s a truly ideal little projector that outperforms its size.

Well impressed with this projector ,could not make my mind up weather to buy it for quite a while ,but in the end I’m glad I did ,I use it mainly with the Amazon Fire stick 4K which if you watch a Film in Ultra 4K it is a real treat the colours outstanding for a portable projector , there is a lot you can use it on it’s own I believe there is an issue with Netflix at the moment but I believe you can get round it , but I view it through the Firestick anyway so at the moment I’m very happy with i
This is a very good projector.

All in all, very happy.

On the base of the projector there is a standard 1/4″ thread so you can use virtually any camera tripod to mount
it.

Very happy with this projector.

– you need to apply small extra efforts to set up Netflix, but in the end it works well (google it)
I hope that was useful for you, if so thumbs up!

Very impressed of this little projector, it worth every penny

Well worth the money.
