The one at the back came in really useful 2 years ago when I saw 2 people hiding in my back garden at 11 at night, in pitch dark.
I heard a noise in the and decided to check the cam first (luckily it was one of those rare occasions when the CamHi app stayed connected for more that 20 seconds) and was glad I did because if I’d just gone wandering out someone could have got hurt, as it was it was one of 2 chaps that got hurt when he came face to face with the police dog I let out in the garden
The uploaded video is stuttering because of the lack of a stable app.
Night vision is unbelievable it throws that infra red light out quite a few metres, and under street light at the front of my house it looks like mid day in the middle of the night if you set it on colour.
Zoom is 20x optical and so clear too and such a well built unit too.
As I have said it really does need a better app to use it because I’m told Cam Hi is the best …really? what are the others like then?
I used to be able to view it on my PC and laptop and it was great as you could really get into the nuts and bolts of its settings but when (I think it was Flash Player or something like that) stopped being available on Windows 10 that was the end of that, but I must Email support and ask them if there is another way of viewing without a useless app.
The support is excellent too just send them an Email and they may take a couple of days but they will get back to you and sort out any issue you have.

I never located an option to limit the degree for viewing which I thought handy to limit overview into adjoining gardens. I found the quick start guide too small print- ridiculous size & for its cost expected a decent guide. I’ve still got IT issues as currently can’t get alerts on my Samsung phone. I was OK until I needed to resize the camera but then also had massive issues linking it to internet. Bought an extender router to assist signal travel. I’m not strong on IT and found it real hard to get the help needed to re do the set up. On the plus, the quality I think is great, so in brief the products great but the support poor. As there are a number of these WiFi units on the market trying to find info in the web is tough as comments are not product specific. I’ve given the actual product four stars for its quality but considering the support and the time I’ve invested to date, the supporting side is worth a two and a bit star rating- however many may be more IT capable with 20-20 vision and zoomable eyeballs. In which case you will love it.
Seems like it could have been a decent camera.
But it is an insane shame that the software let’s it down when it could have been such a star.
First, the amazon package was already open. Seal broken. No manual. So when it tells you to scan the barcode inside. There isn’t anything to scan. I tried finding a manual on their website but if this is what they ship then it’s of no help either.
Fortunately there was a video from another user on YouTube. Tip: install first with the ethernet.
The camera itself is huge. But very solid.
The quality of the stream is probably the best I’ve seen for a wifi camera. It’s actually shockingly crisp. The supposed 20x zoom is, for lack of a better description for now, incredible. I use this for my aquarium room. It has an overview of the three main tanks zoomed out but can zoom straight into dory’s eyes zooming in.
The app leaves much to be desired. Controls could be better when panning. And I’m yet to work out how to view videos that it is meant to be recording on the SD card.
I’ll update this as I find more to add.

The camera is well built and easy to set up. So far the weatherproofing seems to be holding up against the weather here in Shetland but it has yet to ensure a wet windy (100mph+) winter…
18x Optical and “patrol” features are a welcome feature.
Camera arrived in a padded box. Unfortunately with a power supply that has a very short lead on it. So firstly if you are considering this camera then order an extension lead at the same time.
Only a minor gripe though. I installed camera with a Lan cable as during tests especially with 4g on phone the results were slow and crashed . Using Lan made this more stable but not perfect. The pc software would not download from the suppliers website but an email to them was answered very quickly and had all the manuals and software attached , a very good plus point.
The zoom range is nothing short of superb. See images attached. Night vision is excellent .
The phone software is a little basic and difficult to work initially but some tinkering got it working eventually.
Very well built. Quite heavy too.
Needs an sd card as one is not supplied, best quality 128g card.
Overall despite some initial issues the camera is working well. The camera is a long range zoom type. I would have liked one that was more wide angle to cover two cars simultaneously but with a bit of tinkering it can be made to scan from one to the other.
Got this camera for keeping an eye on the stock in the farmyard and it’s turned out very well. The 32x optical zoom means I can see the sheep in fields 1/4 mile away quite clearly and spotted one stuck in a fence last week. It just needed a 12v supply to the roof of the shed and a decent WiFi signal. I’ll move it into the shed for lambing next spring to keep an eye on them at night without disturbing the process too much.
Very easy to set up straight out of the box, with easily understandable instruction booklet and plenty of help downloads on SV3c’s website. The time/area/alarm recording programming is pretty intuitive and the first night I found we had Hedgehogs visiting – not actually seen for 20+ years. The 20x optical zoom is so much better than digital (there is also 3x digital in the software!), making my end of garden pistol target full-screen – saves walking! The +/- focus is handy for forcing focus on an object behind, say a branch. It’s very versatile.
I had a slight niggle with the daylight/night IR changeover, but an email to the helpful SV3c customer service soon had the unit checked over remotely, diagnosing the problem and a solution was quickly found (Thanks Sylvia!).
Viewing and downloading the recorded video is good once you get used to the procedure and converting and editing footage is easy with the software supplied and MS Movie Maker.
I’m thoroughly pleased with my purchase.

This camera is of the highest quality and gives clear definition of the 1080p resolution. Camera is set to a fixed 1080p so you cannot change it. Overall I would recommend it at such a reasonable price. Works perfectly fine with Blue Iris software too.
This unit is truly very very good, picture quality is superb and build quality is solid.
My only issue is with the white night lights they worked only once for a few seconds when installed then went off, haven’t worked since.
Me personally I can live without white lights, however it worries me as to the long term reliability of the unit.
That said it’s a awesome unit and would happily buy again if required.
Today is the 05.04.21 I’ve had this unit since October last year….now the infrared lights have failed and no longer work making this security camera a pointless device and a costly one at that…..very disappointing!!
This camera was purchased to enable viewing of birds and animals in the back garden from inside the house. It produces a very nice image in daylight, and the 20x zoom provides good close ups of anything in the garden. The app is a little basic, and the Windows software somewhat confusing, but eventually we managed to configure everything. There are other apps for Android which are easier to use for viewing images.
The night vision is clear with very good range, but we initially had a problem with motion detection at night. When motion was detected the camera would start recording, but very quickly the image turned purple and then went black. This was associated with some mechanical noise from the camera (I suspect something to do with an Infrared filter being moved), and the recording stopped after 14 seconds, which seems to be a fixed duration. If watching the live feed, the image recovered after about another 15 seconds. This happened every time motion was detected at night.
When contacted, SV3C were quick to respond and asked for the UID of the camera and the admin account password (this had been changed from the default). This let them access the camera remotely and they fixed the problem by disabling Smart Night Vision mode. Since then it has worked properly.
We are impressed by their speed of response and resolution of the problem, but if this camera was showing anything other than wildlife in a garden might be concerned about how secure it is.
I was so pleased with this camera that I purchased another two. It does everything I required of a cam, very responsive, good picture, and definitely weatherproof.
I don’t normally write reviews but this camera is so good i felt compelled to.
I have tried so many of this type of camera over the last month and none of them were up to spec i required and were returned. This one came along and i thought it would be much like the others but how wrong i was. PTZ is outstanding, picture quality is faultless even at 20x zoom. The app just works and has all the features you would ever need – playback, 2 way voice, human detection and it all works.

This camera is really easy to set up and use. It plugs into a normal plug socket so no messing around with electrics. It comes with a good set of English instructions to guide you through set up. There’s an app to download and I can see live footage on my phone and also move the camera angle when necessary. The live video is smooth and great quality. There’s a microphone on the camera which also picks up audio clearly too. In the dark the night vision is much better than I thought it would be. It’s got an in-built memory card so the camera is always on loop record so I can view footage from the last few days if necessary. I’m glad I spent a bit more on a decent camera because this one has been great so far.
Great picture in the day and at night. Zoom is very good and it is easy to control via mobile or laptop. Have installed an SD card with continuous recording, so have not tried motion detection.

The camera itself I’d really good in all aspects the only issue is the software the pan and tilt is done by swiping the screen which isn’t very user friendly in my opinion I would rather have arrow keys like most other software but it is usable

A very good camera for the price, the picture quality is very clear and even when zoomed all the way in. The camera focus presents a very clear picture on full zoom which I was surprised at. It has good night vision , good motion senors and also the microphone is very clear to. I had a dericam before but this is definitely alot better.
bought to replace an existing PTZ that had failed. Quick to set up and the quality is excellent (so far). Seller provided useful information and links to app and PC software (just a shame there’s no Mac software). Night vision is excellent and great range (as described) meaning I no longer need the IR Floodlight I needed with the previous camera.

Excellent PTZ camera for the money, delivered at lightning speed, simple set up.
This is a great camera, easy to set up, and powerful zoom.
The camera was well packaged supported by foam in a high quality cardboard box, ensuring no damage was caused in transit. Included with the camera was an easy to follow Quickstart guide as well as a helpful card that detailed the various PTZ auto-cruise options available.
As opposed to the mobile app that can be used for this camera, I instead added it to an existing BlueIris NVR server which was a painless experience when compared to many of SV3Cs competitors, not only did the video stream work straight away but so did all of the options for both PTZ control and hardware options like manual IR illumination control (a feature only often found in very expensive cameras).
Installation of this camera was what I expected, 4 screws into a wall or other solid surface and a power (+ ethernet connection if not using WiFi) then you’re done, just add it to your chosen NVR software.
The movement of this camera is very fluid as is the zoom function, but whilst smooth they are also extremely fast allowing you accurately track people/objects through the full range of motion. Please see the short video attached to show the performance of this camera which is truly quite astonishing especially considering the low price point the attached photos are all taken from this camera, unfortunately its been foggy since installing the camera making them appear blurry, once we have some better weather I will update this review but this camera still out-preforms the others we have installed.
Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this camera again or any other camera from SV3C, and I may well be buying another one very soon.
First of all I cannot praise enough their customer services which held my hand (so to speak) and walked me through the various issues (mostly due to my own inaptitude). I had at least 4 emails from them, answering my questions clearly and concisely, explaining in details and appropriate solutions.
I must admit I did find it difficult to get to the SD slot and replacing the frame, but I also understood and appreciated that placing the slot inside the frame, made it difficult for any unauthorised person to have access to , as well as protecting the SD card from the weather elements.
As regards the functionality and setting up, Downloading app took less than a minute.
The Picture is very clear, sharp and of high resolution whether the recording is made inside or outside and the night vision is excellent as you can see from the video.
The camera is well built, sturdy and nice to look at.
All in all, an impressive product with very good customer support.
