This review could take ages if i let it. This is no high end radio, it doesn’t have high end features, it isn’t digital so you wont be accessing WiresX or anything like that.
What this radio is is a fantastic starter radio when entering the world of HAM radio, it was my first radio and it taught me so much about the world of radio.
Many of the old timers may criticise this radio but in my experience they all have one stuck in the car or rucksack as a backup, after all who has 1000’s to spend on high end equipment.
Word of caution, you will want to purchase the larger battery if you intend to use for extended periods of time and also you will want to purchase the programming cable (you can programme without it but its a pain) and you will want to upgrade the antenna (that is a whole story i cannot get into here just be careful about what you choose to use)
You can unpack this item and get listening (listening only until you get your licence or you will be breaking the law) immediately.

Took out onto its first battle recently and it worked perfectly. Easy to use and great range.

KInd regards .. UPDATE , the mistake by me was i had to put the UV5R from wide band to narrow band for it to work with another external antenna and again WALLA it works a treat , thanks again …

Sound quality n battery life are both really good, add a programming lead n some 3rd party software and you can open up even more frequencies proper lil powerhouse for the money

Quite a complicated setup procedure so watch YouTube videos etc is my advice.

Does what I needed for Airsoft teams Comms.

Good range and sound quality, even with the standard ear piece

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThere wasn’t anything I disliked about this very small and well made handheld transceiver I must admit I’m intrigued how they designed and made this walkie-Talkie I haven’t managed to properly program this yet but it only came today it’s a very well made piece of kit and I’m more then pleased with it there are some very clever people in China I shall be be making very good use of this equipment, Please remember this equipment can only be used by by people who hold an ham radio licence. Looks like a great little radio. Brought to take with me on my car trip across Europe with friends.
Had an issue with the battery pack not connecting properly but got in contact with the seller and they sent me out a new unit!
They were speedy to respond to me and dealt with the issue right away.
Can’t ask for better customer service!
