Well worth the money
This is a nice looking item but some improvements can be made some of the holes to fix it together the nuts get stuck when doing them up it should come with washers as i had to add some to fix it together it is not the an easy item to put together make sure you have a good whole day to do this as it can be fiddly to do instructions are not all that clear as the video on the product differ slightly but overall not a bad BBQ not used it yet also the turn handle mount can be made stronger as it bend under waigh
Very pleased with this for the price. I didn’t put it together and there was a few grumbles from my handyman. But he agreed it was great for the price
Delivery was quick and we paid considerably less then many of the same as BBQ’s on the market. Contrary to some reviews the quality is perfectly fine for what you pay. All pieces were intact and packaged well. But..the biggest downside is assembly. If your not a DIYer then I suggest you get someone in who is. Instruction manual is pretty poor and the video provided online not much better. You’ll need patience and perseverance but once assembled a decent bbq.
It arrived earlier than expected and you have to be in when it’s delivered as they have to take a picture of it in your doorway.
As the reviews say, the instructions are totally wrong especially about attaching the legs and most other things.
Some nuts were missing but found some replacements in the garage so no big deal
It took me on my own 2 hours to assemble
Not sure why it has a temp gauge as it’s says in the instructions you cannot cook it with the lid down
The material is quite thin but when bolted together it feels strong enough
I like the adjustable height
Will find out later tonight when we light it if it holds up
Some of the bolts a bit naff and instructions not the best but cooks pretty well. Being able to move the coals higher and lower is dead handy. Also don’t need to remove grill to add coals it has a door in the front. Shelf is useful and folds down when finished. Overall as good as some I have seen in b&q and the range but about 100 cheape
GREAT BBQ BUT IT TAKES HOURS TO BUILD INSTRUCTIONS ARE AWFUL ALSO ALL THE SCREWS BOLTS ETC ARE ALL IN ONE BIG BAG WHICH TAKES TIME TO SORT OUT AS THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME BETTER IF THEY WERE IN SEPARATE BAGS WE HAD TO WATCH A DVD ON YOU TUBE WHICH WAS REALLY HELPFUL BUT WE ALSO HAD TO WORK THINGS OUT OURSELVES ME AND MY HUSBAND BUILT IT AND IT TOOK OVER 4 HOURS TO BUILD BUT I LOVE THE LOOK OF IT NOT USED AS JUST BUILT IT TODAY 16/05/2022
The most important tip and advice regarding this barbecue is to read the instructions properly and set out all your pieces out before construction. Admittedly, it takes some time to construct but once built properly is it a nice looking barbecue. It is very solid and robust barbecue. It is great for a larger family or for parties and get together with friends. I already have a gas barbecue but I do wanted a proper charcoal BBQ for specific joints of meat when I specifically want a better smoke flavour.
We have a tried a mid week small family BBQ to test it out and it worked out well. I can’t wait to cook much more food with this barbecue.
This is a good bbq and have cooked on it twice so far. Like others have said it bit flimsy but once put together it’s fine. It took me around an hour and half to put together on my own but could be bit tricky. My only problem is the the grill grates are around 1 inch or so short form the edge and have lost a sausage or two that have dropped through to the charcoal. With all that said it does cook great food and really nice to raise and lower the heat.
At first it seemed easy to assemble but although the instructions point out what bolts to use, it could be a little more clearer. I got to a point near completion and then fealixed I had the legs wrong way round. Meaning I had to dismantle the internals to get to the bolts.
We did give it a trial run and it performed admirably and I was pleased with my purchase. From lighting the coals to being ready to cook takes about an hour and after cooking remain hot for hours so be careful where you place it.
Arrived earlier than expected. Was a bit disappointed when unpacking that one of the bags holding the screws was open and had to retrieve all of them as they were lose. The build took quite a bit of time I’m used to building things but this takes a good hour and half as the instructions are not the best. You also need a spanner and Philips head screwdriver. When built looks lovely. The wind handle feature is great to be able to move the charcoal up and down however it raises no problem but lowering it needs intervention by pushing it down. Given 4 stars just for the instructions and lack of labelling on the items to know what to use and in what orde
This BBQ is value for money and the cooking area is sufficient for a party of 10/8. It takes around four hours to assemble on your own, the instructions are average BUT beware step six.. before you start to assemble have all the screws/bolts sorted and the parts laid out. Read through the instructions so you understand as you may assemble some sections and then have to undo them to allow access to fit the burning area (step 6).
As stated this is a BBQ that is value for the money, good height to work from and better quality that what I have seen at a lot of major stores.
The instructions are a disaster. The actual BBQ once built is superb. Unless you have assembled this particular model, expect to put it together, pull it apart, put it back together properly and then do it again. After 3 and a half hours, I now have a brilliant BBQ for it’s price. Would I buy it again? ABSOLUTELY – I KNOW NOW HOW TO ASSEMBLE IT.
This isn’t a particularly easy bbq to assemble. For those that claimed to have completed it in 30 mins it takes at least that to unpack and sort the components. It took us a good 5 hours to complete. Don’t build on the day of your bbq! The instructions and order for assembly are not that clear and much is trial and error. Although it arrived very well packaged there was a dent on one of the panels which wasn’t a major issue. Once complete and you will only do it once its a great looking bbq with some innovative features and design such as an adjustable charcoal rack, bottle opening and temperature gauge. Looking forward to using it!
I have been really impressed with this barbecue. It is very high quality and well made, and it also looks brilliant when it is fully assembled.
You will need to set aside a good hour to get everything assembled, but it is easy to put together and the instruction manual walks you through the whole process step-by-step. You will need a spanner (I used an adjustable spanner) and a medium size Philips head screw driver to get everything setup.
I love the design of this barbecue; the matt black was exactly what I wanted and it goes very well with my other garden furniture. I also really like some of the features such as the Bottle Opener, the Thermometer, and the Side Shelf with the hooks which are ideal for cooking utensils.
In summary I am really happy with my purchase and I would highly recommend to anyone on the market for a good barbecue.
I have a larger BBQ that i use for family gatherings, however, recently we have been stuck at home with just our household and i wanted a smaller version that would heat up quicker.
Building this up took a little bit of fiddling, but once i started actually reading the instructions it all made sense. Just make sure you tighten everything up straight away as you won’t want to be doing it whilst it’s hot…once all together just go around each bolt one more time to check as things move a little as it squares up.
This is a nice compact BBQ that can still feed our large family of 8 (although the younger 3 hardly eat much right now.) It’s well built once all tightened together and the small table to one side is great for holding the cooked meat as it comes off (no more balancing around the dogs who are just waiting for you to drop everything).
All in, i’m happy with the purchase, i just should have followed the instructions first time round
The BBQ was delivered quickly and swiftly pressed into service. In the twelve nights we spent in Cornwall we used the new BBQ eight times, cooking steaks, sausages and fresh fish. The BBQ is strong and stable and is best placed on flat land. The Handy door at the front of the unit enables easy access to remove spent charcoal. The adjustable charcoal rack can easily be raised and lowers with a simple leaver. The BBQ has good ventilation access with an open and close facility to increase or decrease air flow. We thoroughly enjoyed using our new BBQ and look forward to many BBQ’s in the years to come. The grill will accommodate six hungry diners and there is room for enough charcoal to cook two grill trays full in one sitting. A very good BBQ at a fair price.
Very satisfied with this bbq , it took me only 30 minutes to build it up,very straight forward and 100% satisfied.I had my family members around for bbq 7 times already and I am loving it every time we do bbq.
