The bag is shockingly small, as the soil is extremely compacted. I appreciate that as it makes storage in a small apartment much easier. I wanted to break off a third of the soil block so I wouldn’t expand all of it at once, which was extremely hard to achieve even hacking at it with a knife. It would have been nice if the block had been subdivided.
However, once I had a few clumps broken off, I was truly amazed how the block expanded into great looking soil upon adding water. I potted three small plants from around 1/5 of the block.
What I love about this product is it is delivered to my door in a very compact packet.I then add warm water and in no time at all Ive got lots of lovely potting comppost that I havent had to lug from the shop to the car to the house to the garden.Ive just repotted all of my herbs and I can see that this retains moisture well enough for me not to worry about watering every day.Well worth a try,you wont be disappointed.

When you put water on it, it really expands to be a lot of potting soil. I really enjoyed it and it was a good product.

It was easy to rehydrate. It comes in a bag that you add water to. I was a bit cautious thinking it might leak but it didn’t. It seemed like a very strong bag that could potentially be repurposed as a grow bag.
I’ve planted a few things (salad leaves and other leafy greens) and they have all sprouted and seem to be doing fine. Not a fly/gnat in sight either. I have just bought my 2nd lot.
The size of package suits me well as I am disabled and can’t lift heavy weights.
Some of my seeds came up and some didn’t so don’t know whether it was the fault of the compost or the way I sowed them!
Compost came compact, once warm water is put in, it yeilds a lot. Watching it expand is so satisfying. Will get some more in as their small packs and easy to store.
At first, I thought it was the wrong size but I added water and the soil grew. Thank you.
This compact bag of organic compost was ideal for my tomatoes, they are growing like mad now.
Supper I needed first easy to store even if you have limited space and you don’t need to used all I like the packaging well done
