This review is for the Gonex 4/6/8 Person Camping Tent with Porch, Upgraded 2 Room Family Tents with Divider, Large Instant Cabin Tent Camping, Waterproof Windproof Ventilation Easy Set Up Tent for Family Camping Hiking. The Gonex Camping Tent was a little difficult to setup at first, but I enjoyed the large space provided inside the tent, plenty of room for my family, good quality construction, as notated it does not come with the canopy pole. Good air flow in the tent, and you can look up and see the beautiful sky and have protection from the summer bugs with mesh.
It’s a really nice rent. It’s a decent size. I can even fit 2 adult sized cots in it with 1 toddler sized cot (not really room for anything else at that point. The instructions suck so there is a learning curve into getting it up. It worked for the 2 days we went camping and it rained the whole time. Only a bit of rain got in when the high winds blew it up under the fly.
Thankfully my daughter and husband are experienced in setting up tents. The instructions provided could be better. That being said, they were able to set it up in about 20 minutes without too much difficulty. This tent was a perfect size for the three of us with room to spare. The weather was perfect so I cannot attest to whether it will provide protection in a storm, but it does seem sturdy enough to whether a light rain. This would not be my first choice if backpacking as it is heavy. If you are planning on getting out of your vehicle close to your campsite and the weather is good then this is perfect for you.
This tent was easy to set up and can be done with just one person, although it is easier with two. I happened to have this tent to myself and it was sizeable enough to set up my queen sized mattress and have plenty of extra space for my clothes and suitcases. If you like glamping (glamor camping) more than camping, this might be the tent for you. I am 6’0 tall and I could stand up with no problem in this tent.
If you have a whole family this tent could fit them all.
Waterproof and weatherproof, an excellent value for the money.
I first used this tent during a family camping trip. We found it to be quite spacious, pretty easy to setup for a tent of this size, and liked the little flaps at the front which makes for leaving the zipper or mesh open and keeping wind or rain out. Putting it all away was also pretty easy (again, “for a tent this size”)
Used it on another trip and liked it again.
My buddys tent got a branch through it and asked to borrow this one, and HE fell in love with it too.
It has stood up to several HARSH!!! weather conditions as well! Very strong winds and hard rains and this tent absolutely does not care.
I’ve seen other reviews complain about leaks, but this tent has stayed bone dry.
Its also VERY spacious! We’ve had 4 people sleeping in it and didnt have to squeeze together. Standing up is no problem in the center area, even for someone tall like me!
This has become one of the most favorite tents I have ever stayed in, and that includes some friends very expensive tents.

This is very easy to put up and quite roomy. I use this for festival camping when I want the maximum space with the minimum footprint. The straight sides gives you more interior room. Recommended.
Time hasn’t been on our side to take this bad boy into the wild but we did set it up in the backyard to check it out. For a family of 4 (mom, dad, 12 and 4 yr olds) it’s plenty of room. The separate “rooms” are ideal and I don’t think I can ever own another tent now, keeps the blaze of the sun at bay. Hasn’t been through rain yet but wind and sun it’s been just fine and not oven like at all
Good quality for that price. No detailed instructions but quite simple procedure. Assembling – 15 min, disassembling 10 min (me and my wife).
I really wish the Instructions were more clear, this is a very nice little compact tent, and it was alot of fun trying to figure out how it went up, but well made, and very wind proof since it was extremely windy when we put it up. nice two person tent with awning.
I set up this tent on my own in a few minutes and was not too complicated. I rather follow my instinct and experience than some instructions that may even seem confusing. At this price level I must give a high 5! We (my wife, 3 kids and I) camped in our front yard 2 days before going camping to the beach. Being so roomy, it felt fresh and comfortable during the night. The fabric used is kind of thin, but I can not yet rate its waterproof capabilities yet. The only reason I did not take on my trip was because it was too big for the 5 of us. However, it will be my first choice when all my grandkids decide to go with us.
I brought this one on our camping. It was perfect! All the details of the product is just amazing. I am satisfied!
It really is a spacious tent, and when it’s just the two of us in it, it feels like a home away from home! It has nice windows, a divider and kind of vestibule/entrance, it’s great! The quality of the materials is top notch and it was easy to setup and get staked down, tear down isn’t the fastest but not the worst I’ve had. IT stores nicely in the included bag, it’s a little heavy, but it’s a huge tent!
PROS: The tent is massive and has plenty of headroom. 4 people could sleep in it comfortably and you could have a party with even more. Sturdy, waterproof with the rainfly on, and solid.
CONS: The need to run lines is a bit tedious and the vestibule part of the tent is a bit tricky to set up.

I set this up this past weekend for me and 3 of my grandsons to “camp” overnight in my back yard. I’m not gonna lie, I haven’t been camping in over a decade and I had a husband at that time, who always did all of the camp set up, so I was a little nervous if “Grandma Amy” was going to be able to come through for these boys or not lol. I have to say, it was SO EASY lol!! This thing is huge too! With 4 of us in there, along with all of the stuffies & toys that we had to have with us as well, there was still plenty of room! It seems very well put together. It didn’t rain, so I can’t attest to the “waterproofness” of it, but I honestly would be shocked if it leaked. I’m now so excited to take some camping trips this summer! I don’t have any “cons” to it at this point, and I highly recommend it!
his is surprisingly easy to set up and take down went really smooth i have to say this tent is very well made, after this weekend it rained and the wind no problems no leaks. i would highly recommend this tent, won’t be disappointed. great value for what you get this would be great for fall camping or fishing trips

Room divider is NOT included, no way to contact seller to question. Instructions are terrible. HOWEVER, really good tent for the money, enjoyed our first family trip away in it. Rained and didn’t notice any leaks, however it wasn’t torrential rain.
Arrived quickly and looks as shown in product images and video. This tent is definitely big, I initially unraveled it in my living room and it covered almost the entire floor space. Unfortunately The directions aren’t the most thorough so there’s a bit of a learning curve as far as the set up. Once you’ve done it once it sticks with you and helps shave some time off the process the second time you set it up. Seems to be well ventilated while still simultaneously keeping the elements at bay. Thinking of getting a solar powered fan to help keep the inside cool! Have an upcoming trip to Ginnie springs this Summer so I’ll definitely be camping with this *Will posts more photos along with any updates if need be*
My family likes a lot of room in our tent, so this tent is a great size for us. It is well made and relatively easy to assemble so long as you have more than one person. It comes in carrying case which I really like, but getting it all back into that case after using it is not as simple. My favorite part of this tent is the extra overhang. It allows us to take off shoes and keep things relatively dry without having to bring them all into the tent. All in all it’s a great tent that is fairly easy to set up with two or more people, and stores nicely when not in use.
Holy big tent!
This tent is huge and comparable to having two rooms. It’s really large and functional. Surprisingly well ventilated.
Biggest downfall here is it is no joke to get put together and up. It took quite a bit of time just for a trial run. We got frustrated and had to take a break and go back to it. Instructions are limited here but we figured you put one tent up you can put them all up. Well, this one is so large it’s different to put up. It was hard, but now we know.
Once we got it up, we loved it and it is nice. Good quality and several people (I would say 4-5) can sleep inside comfortably. We haven’t actually camped in it yet so time will tell here but it seems like it will be more than sufficient.
I love the “porch” area. Definitely helps keep interior clean. Super roomy and durable. Very well made.
For what it is, this tent isn’t bad at all. It has LOTS of room and is made quite well surprisingly. I had it up for 2 days in moderate to heavy rain with strong wind and it only slightly leaked in one spot. The only cons I see are that its kinda hard to assemble by yourself and the directions weren’t all that clear. Other than that, it really isn’t a bad tent at all and would be great to use at home with the kids or weekend car camping in nice weather. ~ Chesapeake
It has lots of ventilation when the tarp is not on. Super waterproof with the tarp. There is no room divider as advertised. It is one room only. It took some time to set up, and is easiest with 2 people. One person will struggle because of the large size. There is lots of space inside for about 2 queen matrasses with space between. The awning only exists if you put the rain tarp.
Huge very spacious. Me and my boys are camping in the backyard tonight. One adult, a 14 year old, a 12yr old, and 11yr old. With plenty of room to spare.
