I got these for my niece who’s taken up football, and the shin pads she had were ones that were constantly falling down. These looked promising as they have a somewhat sock attached to it, so this shin pad is anchored by the foot, and then held up by a strap meant to be wrapped around the calf, and I’ve been told that it’s made a great difference. It’s comfortable to wear, and easy to put on and take off, and does not fall down when my niece is wearing it. Now when I got these they were 16.99, which I think is a bit of a steep price for some shin pads when I’ve also gotten another pair almost 10 cheaper than these. However overall, these are doing its job very well, and my niece loves them which is all I really care about. She now doesn’t need to stop to retighten her shin pads; these ones hold up for her entire football practice, and they’re big enough to fit her well now, but also have enough space for her to grow into them and use them for (hopefully) years to come. Would definitely recommend.

For my grandson who is 5. Other styles were uncomfortable and bulky as well as being difficult to get on and off. These are easy on and off under or over socks and protect his shins just as well.!

Got this for our five year old as he is starting to get into football.

Got a larger size as he will be growing into them.

They fit OK, possibly a little smaller than I was expecting.

They feel quite sturdy, so should protect his shins from most things.

I bought this product for my thirteen year old son who still uses them 2 months later ahead of his old pair. I’ll now hand you over to him so that you can hear his views. It goes without saying that the shin pads serve brilliant protection to the shins but a great added feature is the protection on the ankle, which is comfortable, good for protection and helps to keep the shin pad in place. Overall this is a very good product but the ankle protection can very occasionally cause some discomfort but it is only minor.

These are amazing! These have unbelievably good comfort and style. Since I’m goalkeeper in football, I get many kicks to the leg. But now that I’ve used these in a few matches, I can see the effort put into these shin pads. I strongly recommend you get this item because it is excellent!

Got these for my son who plays football at the weekend…they are a great colour suitable for boys and girls, they fit well and seem to stay where they should..Good protection. The only downside is they have no ankle protection.

They are just a little pricey

I ordered these shin pads in size M, for my 13 year old daughter. The description on Amazon said that size M would be suitable for ages 7-14, but they were too small for her. In fact I doubt whether they would be big enough for an 11 or 12 year old.

Having read the description on Amazon more closely, it recommends you focus more on the height of the child and I think this is definitely more important. My daughter is 5’6″ and Size M is described as being appropriate for heights between 4’7″ and 5’3″. So it’s my mistake. I would recommend reading the description thoroughly and measuring your child before ordering!

The pads measure approximately 20cm long and are around 14cm at their widest point (towards the top). They are well made and feel light – but if I’m honest, I think they look and feel a bit cheap. On the plus side, the velcro straps mean they are easy to put on and adjust to the right fit. I like the fact that they are individually labelled left and right, and the wording on the front ensures that they are put on the right way up. All good for kids (and parents) who might not be sure about these things!

They work really nicely. They are meant to protect the shins and they do a really nice job of doing that. I will say as well, that they seemed to bring less sweat than usual, which is something that I didn’t expect but warmly welcomed.

The video goes into much more detail, including an overview of the size, style, materials and my thoughts on their performance and suitability.

    However, in a nutshell:

    Things I liked:

+ Good solid pair of shinpads.
+ Velcro is the right way round (see the video for what I mean by that).
    + Fitted both my 9-year-old and 11-year-old (M size).

    Things I didn’t like:

    – There is a little overhang of the scratchy side of the velcro – a soft padded end to the scratchy velcro strap would make all the difference comfort-wise.
    – They are about 15.99 – exactly the same as a branded pair from Mitre or Nike cost on Amazon.

    Do I recommend it?

If you can get them for a reasonable price (under a tenner), yes. Otherwise, I don’t know if I personally would be buying these over a recognised sportswear manufacturer branded pair if they are the same price.

The shin pads arrived choosing the pink shade has been well recieved and once put on by the child im reliably informed they fit well and they are impressed with the ankle padded parts as this is the first time using this type over shin pads without the ankle padding. I know these were the better option when ordering because she hasnt taken them off and cant wait to wear them on her next game. As a parent i can say im very happy with the response to them and also with the price point, they are lightweight and very durable and the moulding fits well to the leg/shin area.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal for football!

Missing textured padding but fits my 11 year old okay, bit loose around the shin pads but that’s what the socks are for.
You’re not going to get better for the price.
    Nice one

I received the product in a well-sealed plastic bag.
It comes in different sizes and 2 tone colours, and i opted for purple and white in a small size for my 10-year-old son.
The size is just right for him and he feels comfortable wearing it.
Recently, he joined a football club, and these shin pads are a must-have for providing protection for the lower leg.
Besides being well-made and well-padded, these pads have soft cushions on the ankle side.
Despite wearing socks over it, it doesn’t slip.
Moreover, they are lightweight and breathable.
Additionally, the size chart is quite helpful for selecting the right size.

Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend it.
Any questions regarding the product, I am happy to answer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well-made with extra protection!

These shin guards fit my 4yr old perfectly. They are well made, sturdy and looks super cool! The straps are a tad long when secured but this is minor as he will be wearing socks over it anyway.
    Would recommend.

My 7 year old daughter uses these twice a week, I like the fact there are two straps, but my daughter prefers just one strap

  16. Chris Gates says:

Too soon to give 5* as my 8yr old has only worn them a couple of times for hockey, but she found them easy to get on under her socks & a good fit. Fine so far and do the job, but we’ll see how they hold up over time.

These are a straight-forward set of shin pads, with a neoprene ankle section. They’re well-shaped and comfy on, and the plastic guards are sufficiently protective without adding weight or bulk.

Note that they do run a little small, so best to size up.

  18. Rebecca Parker says:

I got the medium size for an 8-year-old player who is one of the tallest in his year. The shin pads fit him just right. If he carries on the way he is going, then by next year he might be too big for this size range.

The shin pads are easy to slip on and are marked left and right. Slip the foot into the ankle sleeve and line up ankle bone protectors. Then the top of the pad is held in place with Velcro strap. The football socks do the rest of the work in keeping them in place.

Very good shin pads and they provide reasonable coverage and protection. The ankle bone plates are sewn into place which is better than his previous pads where the plate would move around. The only disadvantage is that the ankle protectors are soft material and would give better protection if they had a hard shell to them.

They have been played in several times now and so far there have been no complaints in respect of comfort or rubbing, chaffing etc. Judging by the marks on his socks, I am guessing they have also saved him from a few painful injuries too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good protection and comfortable too

Lightweight and robust, easy to put on and comfortable to wear without being too restrictive.

My son’s football socks hold the pads in place nicely, good fit, do not move around too much when he is playing.

Only gripe is that my son just feels the Velcro strap a bit itchy. Other than that the pads give jolly good impact protection around shin, a good design.

Excellent product, they certainly feel sturdy and pefect for what they are for.

These are basic but acceptable shin pads. The only provide protection to shins with no ankle protection, but they do what they mean to. We got the large size and they fit my 11 year old son with some growing room too. He found them comfortable to wear and easy to fit (2 velcro straps aroudn the calves). However for the price I would expect them to also have ankle protection.

These shin pads are brilliant, Lightweight and robust, Lovely colour adds to the appeal, for the price they are really well made.

Very good impact and comfortable design for shins and ankles. They fit very well, a great strap to help hold them in place, give proper protection, and the ankle protectors on the side are a nice touch.

    Would recommend.

These are well made and easy to fit, and they give good protection too. The padding is quite thick and the outer feels strong and resilient.

Simples really, they work well and fit fine. Plus the light blue means we can write his name on them so he doesn’t lose them again! Bless.

These fit my Grandson perfectly he was chuffed to bits with them he is 5 yrs old and I got size small.
The colour is a lovely blue they seem strong and have Velcro fastening to keep them in place and adjust to a suit size of leg required my Grandson said they felt comfortable and they are light to handle. I’m sure they will prevent his little shins from bruises when he plays this football matches.

Will do a good job protecting little shins.

This is a pair of blue kids football shin pads.

    Things I liked:
    * thick EVA sponge (good padding)
    * secure velcro straps to keep shin pads in place

Overall, I ordered the small size for my 4yo boy and it fits with room to grow into for the next 3-4 years.

    It does the job well

These fit my five year old lad really well. He finds them comfortably and secure. They don’t inhibitor his movement and they raise his confidence on the pitch.
They seem well made and perfectly protective for impact from other players boots.
These are well made and good quality. They look like they’ll last plenty of matches and training sessions.

Decent quality, good protection & fits my 5YO securely

This is a set of sheen pads , the design is great. They are sturdy and strong , the velcro straps allow fit to different kalfs. My son is 11 years old and these are perfect for him.
I can’t fault these at anything.
I would buy again and I would recommend

Got these for my 3 nearly 4 year old. S is too big for him at the moment but that was expected.

Whilst they are just about too big they have been worn. The fit is really nice, covers the shin nicely. My 1 year old has already attacked my 3 year old with a hammer to demonstrate that they are protected. 3 year old laughed it off.

Very good and will be perfect for the next season.

These kids football shin pads are made with good material 5mm 35D EVA and pp fan-shaped shell. The pads are light weight and has elastic fastening.

These are really light weight and comfortable, I ordered a size S for my 4 year old and they fot perfact. Also the best thing is that they come with 1-year warranty.

These are priced at 14.99 (at the time of review)

Really well made and looks good.

The whole point of shin pads is that they offer protection and not just for show.

Previous purchases form different brands have led to us returning them as inadequate. But these shin pads are good and feel robust. My 9yr old son wears them and he said they are comfortable, which must mean he doesn’t notice them.

Good value and I like the blue colour too. Happy to recommend.

My 9 year old son loves these shin pads , they are a great fit for him , I like how they have an elasticated ankle support as well as the strap around the foot and behind the calves, it ensures a really secure fit so they don’t come loose when running.

They are very lightweight to hold , as light as a feather , I’ve watched my son run in them we had a kick about on our front field, he really likes them and they look a perfect and secure fit.

The stitching seems OK, build quality is OK, they look durable too.

I think they are OK for the price , time will tell on the longevity of them but for now they fit well and offer good protection when he plays football, so all good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Light weight , secure fit , offer good protectio
