I’ll be honest, I’m a little disappointed with this model from MYCARBON. Their previous fan, which I also own, is far quieter when operational than this new model. There is a somewhat unpleasant hum of the motor, while old model is essentially dead quiet when operational.
Overall it’s still a fantastic fan, and I use it daily when it’s hot, but I do not keep it on at night due to the motor hum, which can be distracting.
The quietness, rotation options & remote control make this THE most amazing fan. A lifesaver in the heat of summer or for those with hot flushes!
Just a very good, well thought out fan.
We like the simple, understated led display method, no ugly led numbers or shiny cheap plastic
Clean simple design, which looks better than pictures.

Only small criticisms would be:
The beep when a button is pressed needs to be quieter and more subtle.
The remote control is symmetrical in shape so easily pointed the wrong way round!
The advertising blurb said DC motor quiet operation. Not true, during this past heatwave unit operated at higher fan speeds the noise it generated was intrusive to say the least. I will probably donate and scour the market place for one that truly IS quiet at fast fan speeds and preferably British made
This fan is one of the best. It’s ability to rotate left to righ and up and down is excellent. Another positive is how quiet it is when it operates, plus the handy remote makes controlling it so much easier.

Bought this during the summer heatwave. Turned out to be a really impressive fan. I like the vertical swing option as well as left-right. Powerful enough to generate good air movement for a large room. Noise levels good a lower levels, and as to be expected at higher ones.
Exactly as per the description, this is a quiet and effective fan with a range of options around its use.

Bought this for our bedroom which gets the summer sun most of the day. This fan is amazingly quiet (especially on lower settings) and powerful also. has easy to use buttons and remote. Has function to blow air direction up and down as well as Left to right and can have all directions going at once. Timer is great although you need to read the instruction as to the buttons as there is a timer button for Timer on and off. The highest setting is very powerful but not as loud as traditional fan and tbh we didn’t need to use the hight settings during the heatwave- to be honest we have this one on bedside table blowing across us and a tall Dyson at the end of the bed. The 2 together – both on low settings during the night (didn’t use higher that 2/3) was great, both able to sleep with them on. If you use setting 1 you really can’t hear it, 2 is also very quiet. We also found that by putting the fans on a much higher number couple of hours before bed during heatwave helped cool them down when needing to sleep- just turned them both down and that was it. It’s a great fan and good price, my sister has also bought one and she is pleased with hers. Totally recommend this fan.

This fan is fantastic. Even on the lowest setting it creates a lovely cool breeze and on full when it’s really warm weather it is a life saver. Keeps everyone cool. Not too noisy at night either, the low setting gives a comforting hum. Just wish there was a dust cover for when not in use.
Love this fan. Really like the timer, which is good for setting at night as I usually let it run for 2 hours when I go to sleep and then it turns itself off. Helpful to have a cool room to get to sleep in, and it’s incredibly quiet. Would highly recommend.

Really pleased with the effectiveness and performance this fan gives which exceded expectations which helped to keep us cool during the recent record breaking heatwave in the UK . The only niggle is the 3rd speed setting seems to resonate a bit so is a bit too noisy to use when trying to sleep during the night, so we had to use one setting below or above it to avoid this issue. Otherwise a great bit of kit and recommended.
Pretty quiet on low setting. I am an extremely light sleep. Can hear a pin drop. But the quietest fan I have ever owned on lowest setting. No fan is silent.right?Nd the fast blast button.like a hurricane. Haha.

I don’t normally leave reviews but this fan is the best fan I have ever bought. I recently purchased a very expensive brand fan but needed another one but didnt want to fork out that amount of money again. I looked at this brand and reviews about it being quiet was what sold it to me. I have to say it’s true, I need silence when sleeping and in this recent heatwave I had to resort to fan on at night. This beauty on the low setting and on timer for an hour is just what I needed. It’s FANtastic!! It’s so good I bought 2. I have also recommended it to a lot of people.
This has been the best thing we have purchased in a while. We literally can’t live without it! Perfect for being able to sleep at night in this heat and it’s not too loud even on the higher setting. Delighted with it!

The fan is good with/without the remote control. Not tried timer function. Otherwise, all functions does what it should. Not happy that the turbo is only for 3 minutes and lowers down. Turbo, should be longer for the affect. Good fan.
This fan is so good that after purchasing one I bought two more for the other bedrooms. Super quiet, easy to have it move both horizontally and vertically plus energy efficient – exactly what we needed.
No issues with the fan itself. Probably the quietest one I’ve used on the lower speeds. The fastest settings are impressively powerful too. When they were on sale at around 70 they were over priced in my opinion, at 100 its really not worth it, a 20 fan will have the same overall impact.

My Carbon Circulating Fan. It’s as quiet as is described mostly used in lounge even on all speeds you don’t need to turn TV up .The air surge is great to get room back to a decent temperature .Remote is handy for turning on and off.Not bothered about timer but suppose may use that feature at some time. Just hope it lasts as long as old fan that’s why I bought quite an expensive one in comparison to others.
Fully automatic vertical and horizontal oscillation means it does a great job of circulating the hot and cold air of a room which lowers the average temperature well.
DC powered means this thing only draws around 8w when fully oscillating and on speed 4 which is brilliant, and decibel reading of 45-50 in a room where it’s 38-40 turned off from 3ft away. At full speed this rose to 60db.
Well designed, well made, my only negative is the fact there is no on board remote storage, a simple magnetic holder would’ve been really ready to implement.
This is a well made product having a robust feel to it. Rotates both horiszontally and vertically. It can be adjusted to any fixed postion vertically and horizontally. Controls are well spaced and easy to understand. Effective fan which really helps to cool the room. Made me feel a lot cooler. I don’t think I will have much use for the tomer function.
In view of the coming heatwave and the fact that our bedroom fan had given up the ghost last year, it was time to find a new one. I trawled the product reviews, and cane down to the MyCarbon fan. I’d never heard of the make before, but the reviews were good, so since it was on a Prime doscount, I went for it, and it was delivered the next but one day.
It is solidly made, not unnatractive, thought that surely isnt a key parameter in a heatwave! Its simple to use, and above all gives a good steady stream of air, widely adjustable, and is quieter than I have experienced before.
So its all good, really. My daughter has one of the bladeless really expensive ones by that well known manufacturer, but in terms of value for money, this fan wins hands down.
I hope it lasts, we’ll see, but for now I couldn;t be more pleased.

Great fan for the price. Projects the air very well across the room even at low speeds. Oscillating in both directions circulates the air around the room really nicely and reduces the ambient temperature well when in conjuction with open windows and closed curtains on the sunny side of the house. When it’s really hot we use this to circulate the air (push the stuffy warm air away from collecting higher up in the room) and use a tower fan to cool us down directly.
It’s very quiet in comparison to other fans. At 1 and 2 the wind noise is almost silent but it does have a kind of motor/fan whine at the low speed. I’ve found speeds 4 and 5 to be the least notisable in regards to sound. Speeds 6 and up is mainly wind noise, but it comparison to the tower fan we have it’s really not bad. On really hot days we use 3 minute turbo mode to cool the room and then leave it on speed 9. On warm but breezy days we leave it on 4 and just circulate the air.
It’s also mesmerising to watch when it oscillates in both directions, so you can throw out your TV!
I’ve gone through several fans in recent years, but this fan is by far the best. It is the quietest fan I have ever owned; but only on the lower speed settings. As you crank the speed up it gradually becomes almost (but not quite) as noisy as other fans. The remote control is superb. Very handy.
What makes this fan stand out are two things: the volume of air it pushes through seems to be far greater than other types of fan, and secondly it produces a highly directional far-reaching blast of air, such that it can provide a smooth cool breeze even from the other side of the room.
Mycarbon fan is a beast 16inch or 41cm tall so it’s not small for a desktop fan (more like a desk or a chest of drawers fan but it’s fantastic, 12 fan speeds turbo mode and timer to set between 2 to 8 hours also rotation side to side and up and down works smoothly ? Remote control works as is and the battery is – CR2032. Fan does get loud the more speed u wanted it to spin so between 1 and 4 is good , 1 and 2 to bed and 5 to 12 hot days I say. I recommend my version is perfect no problems
I bought this fan back in June when the heat wave hit, been using the fan for around 3 months & I must say it’s a pretty impressive piece of kit, reasonably quiet on low to medium, turbo mode is awesome for cooling you down fast, remote is a handy addition, recommended…

This is the best fan I have owned. It is exceptionally quiet, excellent timer function. The fact it oscillates both from side to side and up and down is fantastic and from a touch of a button.
The slowest speed setting is perfect for night time as it is so quiet.

The wife complains it is a little loud, I am
not of the same thinking, for me it is manageable at most levels. The arctic blast setting is great for a quick hit, but Inwould highly recommend for the 6 days a year the British summer necessitates the use of a fan.
A good size that has been placed in a few surfaces in our bedroom. The noise level is low with a gentle hum that doesn’t disturb sleep. Noisier on higher settings but that’s to be expected. Love the Turbo setting that runs for 3 minutes and quickly cools the room. Remote only seems to work within 3-4 meters of the fan.
Since purchase, the average temp has been 25c at home, it’s not been fully tested, yet it has been on constantly since the beginning of August.
Given the fact its white, its not needed constant wiping with a cloth.
It has a very quiet operating noise level on half its power, on full power it is very cooling which was my main reason for buying and I think lastly, the facility to tilt it on is itself has proved more beneficial than I’d anticipated.
4 weeks post purchase and I don’t think I’d return to a tower type fan. It was a long shot buying this model as well as from this manufacturer but for me, it has been worth every penny! Even a 20 off appeared at check out! Very pleased so far.
Nice unit has a boost mode also if you want that extra blast, lasts for about 1 min in boost. Timer function is very handy, the remote is small and response with no issues.
Great features on the fan to move both horizontal and vertical. You can stop this at any place you want with the touch of a button.

After reading many reviews I ordered two of these fans. I’m pleased to say that I wasn’t disappointed. It’s lower setting is so quiet and just enough breeze to help you slept and with the timer you don’t have to worry about it being on all night.
Not quite as quiet as I had hoped for due to a rattle type sound, but to be fair I don’t tend to have any background noise going on so perhaps I’m expecting too much of this fan.
I’ve never used the remote so can’t comment on that, seems a bit pricey compared to other fans
Bought this fan during heatwave for my bedroom. I am able to sleep with it in the lower settings and it keeps me nice and cool. I’m not sure how effective it would be for a couple as it’s just me in the bed but perfect for my needs and handy to have for the future. It’s quiet also on the lower settings. Love how it oscillates left and right and up and down. It’s a thumbs up from me.
Purchased this item as I needed a quiet fan for the bedroom during a rare UK ‘heatwave’ . Not quiet as quiet as I would like but still quiet enough to sleep through and I’m a very light sleeper.
A bit pricey but probably worth the extra money over cheaper alternatives if it remains reliable.

So the 1st fan was defective; I was asked to send a video to show that one of the motions did not work. The video was too big and wound not email. The company took my email and just replaced the original fan. Am super impressed; excellent customer service and the product is first class. Quiet but powerful and distributes the air really well.

Absolutely delighted and I have bought a second one for another room.
Needed to upgrade my cheap & cheerful fans as they were far too loud whilst working from home as I had to keep turning them off when I was on the phone. This little beauty is seriously quiet & the 12 settings mean that I have options from a whisper to the very useful 3 minute whirlwind to freshen the room up.
The remote control is a nice touch & compared to my old cheaper fans I would say that this one is very good value for money.

So, this particular fan, is by the side of my bed. It goes up and vertically, left and right horizontally, and has a turbo button, where you get a blast of air, for 3 minutes.
I know this fan, is a bit dearer than other fans, but oh my days, it’s SO worth it, particularly when it’s 30C in the United Kingdom.

We like using a fan in the bedroom when the temperature is high as it is nice to move air around – you sleep much better. This fan, although on the pricier side, works well, is quiet and has quite a range of movement if you want. It also comes with a useful remote control.
This is a powerful fan in a small body. Bought for a main bedroom and while there is a “hum” while in use there’s no loud whir of the blades which I’ve experienced in larger, cheaper fans over the years. Remote control is so handy and being able to set a timer for it to come on or go off is great. User manual is clear and though much of it is common sense, having good written and pictorial instructions about dismantling for cleaning will be very useful. Though every fan ever bought has done a job this one is the closest to an air con I’ve experienced as it cools the room rather than having to blow directly on to you to work. Wish I’d invested in one before
I bought this product due to its energy efficiency and quietness as using in bedroom at night. I can be a light sleeper but the fan is very, very quiet and hasn’t interrupted sleep at all and making the room feel cooler has actually aided sleep. My only slight bugbear is I have not found a way to turn off the bleeps when pressing any of the buttons/remote which can be loud if you want to change anything on the fan whilst your partner is sleeping.

The fan is very quiet on medium to low and gets not load but more buffer when it’s at full blast which is pretty powerful
It can can move side to side and pivot up and down or both together which ever is preffered. The fan has a lot of sifferent speeds so it can be tweaked to your favourite setting unlike my old 3 speed fan.
Very strong quality and the fan blades are very consealed so fine around children.
