The picture and video are very clear. The camera can easilyfit on top of my laptop without falling off due to the flexible mounting device. Nice privacy magnet cover. It comes with small hand controller. It has been a hit and miss with the controller but it may be due to all the other frequency gadgets interference in the room I’m using. Still a great buy for the price.

I am using this for video calls at work, and I have to say I am very impressed with the video and sound quality. The camera comes with a built in light that can be controlled by tapping on the front of the camera, which is a nice feature. The picture quality is excellent – sharp and clear. Using the remote control you can zoom in (It’s a digital zoom) and then move the image image to simulate ’tilting’. I find this useful as the camera is fairly wide angled and it allows me to zoom in on myself.

I also like the magnetic cover that I can use to put across the lens when not in use.

Superb device, have been using it for some time now without any issues and people at the other of the meetings remark on how clear the video and sound it!

I like everything about this camera except the light control not being on the remote, you have to touch the camera so that’s a little annoying, on the plus side…it’s a built in light…and that’s a good thing. The image is sharp and detailed, and color rendition is excellent. Works in all forms of light, but if you are low on light help the cam out by using the ring light, simply tap the black part/ring to engage the light!

Camera is great. Love the features, unfortunately zoom does not allow for Zoom function which is ironic.View is limited and remote does not function with Zoom. Matching features to platform support would be very helpful.hoping a zoom update will make the features salient for my use!

This camera is nicely made and easy to install. Just plug the USB a socket into the computer and Windows identifies it straight away. The remote works well and I can zoom in, adjust the brightness and pan the camera. The zoom and panning is all done digitally but it doesn’t seem to negatively affect the quality. There is a built in light which would light your face if you are in a dark room but otherwise is a bit pointless. The image quality is good except that my eyes appear very dark which is a bit off putting. At the moment this is my daily webcam for Teams meetings. I have not used the microphone so cannot comment on the quality of the sound.

This was my first review : After buying a Logitech and experienced a horrible quality I went for this one and loved it!

But I have been using this camera every day and it is so annoying that it keeps crashing on Teams. Every meeting I’m attending the image will freeze and it is awful.

I am an adult content creator and this camera has been great for recording video, going live, and I have even recorded audio with it. Has a pretty good microphone too!

This Camera is literally perfect and the remote is really great has everything you need!

you cant find any other camera’s that move 360 degree’s like this one for the price

you can move it however you like without issue and you can pan with the remote even!

Camera definitely has a high quality picture. IT REALLY IS PERFECT FOR THE PRICE!!!

For the current price this performs pretty well. The camera quality is decent. It is reliable and easy to setup and use. I have used better and I have used worse. For the usual online meetings and calls this should be fine.

The built quality is quite good. It has a nice stylish design and gives a premium feel. It has many features which are missing in most webcams including control via a control such as zoom in/out and brightness up/down. It also has a cover for privacy when not in use.

The video stream was smooth in a live call and no noticeable latency. Also, it was focusing well.

It arrived well-packaged as shown in the attached photos.

Overall, I am happy to own it and will recommend it.

Great video quality - Nice Desig

This webcam has a surprising array of features, there is an included remote that does let you control the camera, like zooming in and out, panning, muting and stopping the video feed.

It comes with a remote, magnetic lens cover and instructions manual, i have to say the picture quality is really good, nothing amazing, but it’s a true 1080p camera for sure, you can zoom in and pan the image and still retain good quality.

The mic quality is also impressive, as you can hear really well and it doesn’t sound far away even when you are a few meters away from the camera.

Lastly, there is a light around the camera, and you have 3 levels of brightness, the light works really well, it doesn’t blind you nor make you look really bright either.

We are using this camera in our conference room and it works a treat, especially now since the pandemic and we have to do more remote work.

Highly recommended camera, it has a lot of good features.

I really love my new Nexigo camera for so many reasons. I use it to record lectures in the computer.
    1. Aesthetically beautiful! The white color matches may computer. The round shape is gorgeous.
    2. It is on an axis, so I can flix vertically and horizontally to fit the exact place I want to show.
    3. Not only that, but it also comes with a remote control that let me tilt and even when I am sting in a far location from it.
    4. The Zoom feature is my favorite! You can focus on your face. The wide angles cameras show too much, and I like that I can show only my face.
    5. IT has a cute privacy magnetic cover that you can stick it to the back when you do not use it.
    6. The image quality is amazing!
    7. The software that operates it let you set up the setting to the exact set up, with white balance features and light compensation.
    8. And if all these was not enough, it has a light ring in 3 strengths that will add light to your set up and make your image pristine!
    9. And I almost forgot the price is quite affordable!
Good job, Nexigo. You are my favorite brand.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis webcam is easily the best I have used so far, and worth having if you rely on on-line communication for your business. It’s not perfect, though.

I’ve reviewed and tested a fair few webcams over the last year. In that time, the quality of what is available has significantly improved. Most of the webcams I have tested were low-budget ones, and it was pretty clear you get what you pay for if you buy one of those.

Having tested this one, yes, you do get what you pay for. This is a more expensive camera, but it has a lot of really useful features, and more importantly it gives impressive results. The picture is very good, with accurate colours and good low-light performance.

The camera arrives in a simple, smartly-printed card box. Inside is a small plastic tray to stop the contents rattling about, a very comprehensive (and tiny) instruction manual and a remote control.

I have the white-finish camera. The plastic moulding is reasonable, although if I’m being honest, it looks a bit cheap. The main body is circular and mounted in a gimbal so it can easily be tilted up and down, and panned left / right. The stand portion opens up to sit over a flatscreen monitor or laptop, and it fits very securely on my monitor. There is also a screw mount in the bottom, so you can attach it to a stand or flexible mount if you have one. The stand, gimbal and mounting system all works very well.

It was recognised immediately by Windows 10 when I plugged it in, and I didn’t need any other software to get a picture in the default Camera application. The native image is very wide – my entire room is visible behind me, and all of it is in focus as the lens has a very short focal length. The colour quality and white balance is orders of magnitude better than my old camera – which was the very best of the many I’ve tested so far.

I installed the app from the website – my antivirus software seemed happy with it – and that gave me better control over the camera. In fact, more control than I expected. I can zoom in, pan and tilt in the software to get the image perfectly where I want it, as well as adjust the colour, hue, saturation, white balance and all the other nerdy stuff I try not to fiddle with. You can save multiple profiles and call them up later.

The camera has a ring-light built in which has three brightness settings. Even in very low light the image quality is good. With the light on and my room in total darkness, the image is clear and bright. Again, massively better than any other camera I have tried.

Then there’s the remote control. What a brilliant idea. You don’t need to open the NexiGo software, as you can control all the basic functions from the remote. Zoom, pan and tilt are the most obvious and are incredibly useful to be able to change on the fly – especially if you are joined mid-conversation by another person who sits next to you. No unprofessional reaching out and fiddling with the camera – you can just pan it over discreetly and adjust the zoom using the remote. You can also mute the sound and flip the picture you are seeing to a mirror image.

I recorded some speech in the Audacity app using the built-in microphone. I went into the Sound Settings to adjust the microphone level in Windows, as it had defaulted to 80%, which I initially thought was a little quiet, but was actually just right when I realised how sensitive the mike was! On playing back I was astonished by the quality of the sound. The mike is very sensitive, so even quite low speech was picked up clearly. The playback was clear, and had an impressive frequency range. It was not at all tinny like most webcams. If you have the speakers to reproduce it, the sound is almost broadcast quality. I actually have studio microphones that don’t sound this good!

However, the sound is accompanied by a faint but noticeable, low-frequency hum or buzz. At first I thought it was caused by my monitor, but even moving the camera as far away from the monitor as the cable would allow made no difference. It’s mildly annoying, and probably made worse by hearing it through my audiophile-grade home-studio speakers. The mike is useable, but could have been so much better. That’s a shame.

On the subject of the cable, it’s annoyingly short. I have a 32″ monitor, which isn’t unusual these days, and my PC sits under the desk right next to me. The cable is too short to reach from the top of my monitor to the PC. I can use an extension or plug into a USB hub, but I shouldn’t have to.

Finally, you get a magnetic privacy mask that sticks over the lens.

Very good camera. Higher price, higher quality. Great functions, good picture, reasonable sound.

Recommended, especially if you intend to use a separate microphone. However, at this price, I expect a longer cable and perfect sound without the buzzing. A generous four stars when it could easily have been five.

Good camera, decent sound, remote control.

This is a webcam with built in light and zoom capabilities. The camera is mounted on a hinged stand that can be perched on top of a computer monitor or attached to a tripod. It has a built in ring light around the lens. The lens is mounted on a frame so that it can be tilted independently of the stand to aim it more precisely on your face. The ring light is around the rim of the lens and turns on when you touch the space between the light and the lens. Included with the webcam is a remote. The remote is powered by a CR2032 battery (included). The remote enables you to adjust the brightness of the light, to mute/unmute the microphone, and control the zoom power. There are 5 zoom settings from wide angle to close up. The camera connects to your computer via a USB A cord; it is plug and play. Included with the camera is a magnetic lens cover for privacy.

I like the built in light for this camera as well as the zoom feature. Initially, I had trouble with the remote, and finally figured out that it arrived with a dead battery. I replaced the battery in the remote and finally got it working, but the remote is not always responsive. I often have to try it multiple times to get it to work. When it does work, I really enjoy the using it to get the image that I want. I use a large monitor that is several feet from my face, which makes for a small facial image on Zoom. With this camera, I can zoom in on my face, or zoom out to show my entire desk. The image on camera is clear, just what I need for meetings. The microphone works as well as the mic on my previous webcam, but I prefer my dedicated conference mic. Overall, this camera works well, but the remote can be a bit of challenge to get working.

This camera lives on the top of my monitor, like my last camera did. The camera has the capability of getting most of my seated body (not the lower part of the legs) when I’m seated at my computer. I love the ability to zoom in, and the touch feature of 3 levels of light on the camera itself. The camera also has a magnetic anti-spy/camera cover that is easy to use. This is a plug in and go camera – SIMPLE!!! I love the remote control to adjust camera zoom and direction after you zoom. You can also turn the camera off with the remote. Something to note, I have to adjust the camera EVERY TIME I turn on or use a virtual site, which is a bit annoying. I wish the settings would remain, but it’s good to know. I LOVE this!!!

****After months of months of use daily, the only oddity is the light will sometimes turn on by itself for no reason. Since you have to touch the camera to engage the 3 light setting intensity, that is not great. Still a great image.

Very good Camera with a 60 FPS.
Angle is wide without edge distortion.
The remote option is a great feature
Resolution is HD. Angle can be a little bit smaller for a 1920×1080 but it’s good enough

I’ve tried several webcams over the last two years. I tried a cheaper NexiGo (was fine, but since I sit in front of a window, the brightness was too much), more expensive 4K webcam for $200 (the fish eye was so wide, people could see my entire room, without the ability to zoom in).

This one is the winner for me. The video quality is fair 1080P. It comes with a remote to let me lower the brightness (I lower it in the daylight and raise it when it gets dark, as well as turn on the ring light) and zoom in to only show my face (otherwise the angle is really wide for a single man call).

The fish eye on this would be good a conference, and you could zoom in to certain people when others leave. You can also turn of the microphone on it and then flip the video (not sure why that is necessary, maybe for writing in front of the camera?).

Anyways, a really nice high-quality camera. Definitely recommend.

I mainly use my webcam to attend remote meetings (mostly Teams), and this serves my purpose very well. One challenge I have is that my monitor faces a window; when using this webcam, my video still looks good with the ring light on and brightness turned up a bit.

    Likes:

    1. Ring light: with my monitor facing a window, having supplemental lighting in front of me is a must, and having the light built into the camera is a lot easier than managing a separate light source. The light is very, very bright, especially at its brightest setting, and I have had no problem being visible during day or night.

    2. Privacy: surprisingly, most camera + ring light products don’t come with a privacy screen (an absolute must-have) or just include a separate, cheap adhesive-style screen. This webcam includes a plastic screen with magnets that covers both the camera and microphone when not in use (and can be attached to the rear when using the camera). This camera also includes a separate red/green light indicator showing if the camera is active (which again, is shockingly not included in most camera + ring light products).

    3. Remote control: I honestly didn’t think I would care about the remote but I actually like it quite a bit. You’re able to pan, zoom, adjust brightness, flip the video, mute, and power on/off directly from the remote. The pan and zoom are digital (not moving the camera itself) but work quite well.

    4. Form factor: this is a very small and usable design that I like quite a bit. The front edge is small enough to not block any part of my monitor when sitting on top (and I have a small bezel), and it can swivel to point in basically any direction (separate from the digital pan feature available through the remote). It also has the ability to attach to a tripod (not included).

    5. Camera: the image quality is good, even when digitally zoomed in. I have not tested and do not intend to use the microphone, as I use a headset during meetings.

    Dislikes:

    1. Ring light control: the ring light is only able to be activated and deactivated by touching part of the camera itself. Optimally, it would also be controllable through the remote (it’s kind of weird that it’s not included) or even better, turn on/off depending on if the camera is in use. There is no scenario in which I’d want to have the light on when I’m not using the camera, and I’m always having to fiddle with it before and after each meeting.

    2. Camera settings: some settings for this camera are unavailable, including Hue and Exposure, even when using the official Nexigo software. For my scenario in particular (strong light behind me), I would strongly prefer to adjust the Exposure rather than just the Brightness, although I’ve still been able to get a good picture through just the ring light and Brightness setting.

Overall, this is a great camera and meets my needs better than any others I’ve purchased online, with just a couple little things keeping it from being absolutely perfect.

I love this webcam! The only reason I left it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the attached ring light doesn’t have a tone change. Personally I like yellow tones on my face and plus it’s easier to focus with a yellow rather than a white light. But otherwise it’s a great, super clear camera!

This is another great camera from Nexigo. Installation is just about the easiest thing ever. Plug it into your USB and wallah it works. There’s nothing else to do for setup. You can use it for both the camera and microphone in your meetings.

If you want to adjust the settings it’s easy to do. Just open the Nexigo app on your computer (it installs when you plug in the camera) and adjust whatever you need to then save. Settings are saved and used each time unless you change them.

The lens cover is magnetic so that it stays on nicely. I set mine on a piece of metal when it’s not on the camera so that I don’t lose it. I’m known for losing them so the magnet is very handy.

Turn on the light (and adjust the brightness) by touching the black circle on the front of the camera which is easy to do.

It also has a cute little remote that lets you zoom in and out while you’re using the camera. This is very helpful so that you can do it on the fly without having to go into the app. You can also use the remote to change the brightness and to mute/unmute yourself. The remote is super handy when you’re in meetings!

The camera and mic work great on Zoom and in Teams. I’ve not tried it in other apps yet, but I’m sure it will do well in any of them. I highly recommend this camera!

This webcam fits well on the top of a monitor. You can just plug it in and start to use it, although there is some software to download and install to enable you to use the full features available. This enables you to control brightness and contrast as well as panning and zooming. These are useful if you are joining video calls from home, so you can limit how much of the room is visible in the background (my previous camera had quite a wide angle of view, so virtually the entire room was on display).

The picture quality is very good and the built in light allows this to be maintained in poor lighting.

I am not sure how necessary the remote control is as you are likely to be sitting at your PC when you use this anyway. I suppose if does mean you can adjust the camera without disturbing whatever is happening on the screen.

My only real complaint is that the indicator light on the camera does not indicate whether the camera is in use, which is fairly standard these days for security reasons. Instead it seems to indicate whether the built-in microphone is muted.

I’m really happy with this camera! I bought it because the built-in camera on my laptop had horrible resolution, so I definitely needed a new one.
I love the remote, especially the zoom in feature and the mute button. I don’t have to frantically click the mute button on my keyboard when somebody comes in the room anymore.
One of my favorite things is how nicely it sits on top of my computer without falling off, which I’ve had happen with other cameras. The ring light is helpful too.
    I’m glad I got it!

    Fantastic Resolution!

I have tried a lot of web cams thanks to Amazon Vine programme. This scores pretty well. Picture quality is better than average and the light dies help in that respect. Mic is quite poor as per normal. The zoom is digital but the image degradation is not too bad. I tend to have the camera mounted a distance away, so this does help me. I think it is worth the asking price.

I spend a lot of time on video conferences and so far have experiemented with multiple webcams, including a top brand 100+ option. Nothing came close the performance and features the NexiGo N940E provides.

Most of the webcams need a software to use their features, which cannot be installed on my work laptop (admin restrictions). So at the end of the day, most webcams serve only as a basic camera. In addition, the windows in my office are behind me, as a result of which, the webcams struggle to focus on my face or show a dark silhouette. No ideal.

I had very low expectations from the NexiGo N940E but was pleasantly surprised. The video quality is on par with the expensive models. But where this webcam shines is that the zoom in/zoom out or left/right function works with the provided remote right out of the box and without any additional software. Brilliant. Second advantage is the attached ring light helps ligthen up with face but also negate any light in the background. Winner.

Have to admit I had never heard of NexiGo until now but reckon this will be my go-to brand for any webcmas in the future.

The only negative I could find is that the fixing flap (the one that attaches to the monitor) does not have any rubber lining. As a result, the webcam does not affix firmly. Its not a deal breaker though.

Hope you found this review helpful.

    Finally, a webcam that works

  30. Anonymous says:

This is quite a good little webcam, I wasn’t sure if the clip would fit over my TV/Monitor but it did without any problems and is reasonably stable. The webcam can be rotated on its stand and swivelled up and down manually but you have to keep a hold of the clip because less force is need to open the clip than altering the camera position.

There is a magnetic lens cover which can protect your video privacy, the problem with the cover though is that it should really have a knob instead of a raised lip because you need something to grab securely when removing it from the webcam. The webcam also has a built in light with 3 levels of brightness, this is activated by touching the black circular area around lens.
A LED on the front of the webcam tells you whether the mic is active or not, it is green when active and red when not.
The webcam comes with a remote control which offers zoom, pan and tilt, vertical flip, brightness, audio mute, video off and reset to defaults.

I downloaded the Nexigo App onto my windows 7 PC and installed it, it allows various adjustments to be made to the webcam although not all of these are enabled, you can also load and save custom settings.
The available settings are: brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness, white balance (auto setting is spot on), and Powerline frequency 50 or 60 Hz (presumably to reduce flicker), in advanced settings you also get zoom, pan and tilt. You also get a preview option so that you can observe the effects of your changes in realtime.

I already have OBS Studio installed so I used this for testing, the first thing that struck me was the picture quality, in a room with natural lighting, the picture quality was superb, the white balance is very accurate and the picture is very sharp, I did find the colour saturation a little too high though but that was easily adjusted. I made a recording and checked the playback, it recorded well with very good sound quality.
I did notice about 1s delay between any actions that I made and the same action appearing on my monitor but looking at the recorded video, which is what the person at the other end of a video call would see, there were no problems, motion was relatively smooth and sound and video were in sync.

In artificial lighting, such as in a room with an 800 Lumens bulb, the picture is grainy especially in darker areas but the grain is not intrusive and the picture still looks very good. In this respect it performs worse than the selfie camera on my Mi10 phone, but my phone’s camera stretches my face so the webcam beats it on that point. You also have the option to use the light on the webcam to reduce the noise. It is absolutely fine for video conferencing and video calling friends or relatives.

If you don’t have a preview window up, you don’t always know if the video is enabled or not, you can’t tell from the webcam LED and even if you have turned the video off, starting the App will turn it on, as does OBS Studio.

It would be nice if the remote could control the light on the webcam and also if the power button muted audio when it disables video.

Very Clear Webcam that’s easy to use

Webcam has lots of features and works effortlessly out of the box. The image and sound quality are perfect and the camera has other features/remote that make it stand out: zoom in/out, image flip, contrast, microphone mute, and moving of image up/down and left/right. Very convenient especially if you are not stationary and need to constantly adjust viewing angle.

Pros : Great picture quality! Good size, works on flexible table-top tripod and stylish,
Cons: lens cover not ergonomic, thus hard to manipulate without turning on the light, easily dropped, easily lost. Should attached with a flexible semi stiff cord or well designed “arm”, light capability seems clever, but highest light level is very distracting, lower level doesn’t illuminate very well

I love the remote functionality of this webcam. I tried a couple of other brands/models that disappointed me. I have big dogs and depending on where they are taking their naps and who I Zooming with, I need the ability to adjust what is in frame.
It has a magnetic privacy cover which is cool. The back of the camera is magnetic, so you just move the cover to the back when in use.
It’s easy to keep up with the remote by storing it at the back of the cam when not in use.
It has a built-in ring light. I’m not a fan of that feature in general, it tends to hurt my eyes because I’m looking directly at it.
This is the 4th webcam I have tried in the last 3 months and this is the one I’m keeping!

Best REMOTE and pan that I have found!

This webcam has a nicely image quality. Being better then other, has a remote control, making easy to adjust even out of the computer, is simple to install and to work. Has a magnet privacy cover that helps against any invader (we never know if we are safety today). The ring light helps on occasions.

great resolution and brightness. zoom in option and image position with the control is very useful. Is not a wide lens set but has enough area coverage to even have a whiteboarding session. Tested it already in different brands (Dell, Acer, Apple) and all has been working great.

something I find weird is the camera cover that you need to place it somewhere else and be cautious so it don’t fall off the desk.

last but not least the light can’t be controlled from the remote which kinds of translate into not using the light ring much. Also, it is not intuitive a way to set zoom in settings defaulted.

great for a plug and play video calls and meetings

I recently purchased this camera for the zoom function. The previous camera I purchased had a wide angle and showed more of my room than necessary for meetings. I am pleased with the ability to zoom in with this camera at the touch of a button. I am now centered on the screen by pressing the “Zoom +” button on the remote control. Everything is plug and play, which was a requirement for me. Highly recommend the NexiGo N940E.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOverall, the product was a winner and a keeper in my estimation. The most important thing, image quality, was very good, even in moderately low lighting. Thankfully, the built in light ring helps if thing get too dark, with three levels of brightness. I love the little remote, which puts the camera zoom, pan, tilt, rotate, and mute all in the palm of your hand. There is a magnetic lens cover. The unit is sharp looking and works well.

The companion app you download to your mac or pc to control the settings is a bit fussy. It appears you need to have the app open for any saved image adjustments to take effect. In my situation, when the camera opens, my skin is always saturated too heavily. I can easily correct that in the app, and save the corrections, but the next time, if the app isn’t open, the saved corrections aren’t applied. I don’t see an option to have the app start when the computer starts. Thus, I have to go find the NexiGo app, open it, and, as soon as I do, the color correction preset applies itself. A fairly small matter but a bit annoying.

As you’ll see in the video, the pan/tilt control on the remote worked, but it wasn’t for awhile. Not sure why.

The sound from the webcam mic is acceptable, but you can hear a bit of interference noise under my voice. Not sure what that is. I’m recording this in a garage, so there is some echo, but I don’t think that’s what we’re hearing.

I would recommend this camera. It’s a solid buy for the price. The features that matter most to me are well designed and executed.

I’ve been looking at webcams lately and I found this one to be jam packed with features to include a magnetic camera cover, built-in lighting, remote control w/ adjustment zoom capability, great quality video and audio, and the ability to mount to a selfie stick or tripod. This nifty webcam is not only jam packed with features, but has shown itself to be well built and reliable. I definitely recommend this product for both business and home use.

Overall, this is a great camera. I got it to use at work on Zoom calls and it works very well for that. It’s very easy to set up and has great video quality. I LOVE the remote, which makes it easy to adjust the camera position and brightness, mute the microphone and zoom in or out.

I also appreciate that the camera has a built in ring light. I wish I didn’t have to touch the black circle of the camera to turn it on and off, though. I almost knocked the camera off of my computer a few times! If the on/off for the ring light could somehow could be incorporated into the remote, I would give it an A+!

This is a 1080p 60Hz camera. It works very well, and produces good quality pictures. It’s easy to install, and pulg-and-play under Windows 10/11.

The remote funtionality is excellent, allowing pan, tilt and zoom to be controlled without having to touch this camera. This is a real bonus, and very useful. The built-in ring light is slightly underpowered, but it’s better to have it than not. It does appear to switch itself on automatically at times, which is a little annoying.

Overall this is a really good device, significantly better in terms of picture quality and functionality than most, and more than a cut above any budget camera.

For the current asking price of 65 I think that it represents very good value. Highly recommended.

This brings the webcam into a whole new league with a range of options for control that you don’t normally have with your regular built-in camera. First of all, the picture quality far exceeds that of my MacBooks and the sound is very crisp and clear too. In addition to this, you get a range of controls including digital zoom in and out, pan and tilt. There is also an adjustable light ring which you turn on with a quick tap of the edge of the camera unit, and you tap again to scroll through the various strengths of light or to turn off. There is a very practical magnetic privacy cover which hides in the back of the camera when you’re not using it. The remote control covers all of the functions you need except the light, and it also includes a microphone mute option as well as a mirror flip control should you need it. A particular shout out to the bracket which is designed to rest on any kind of laptop service you can think of and is very adaptable. Great value, good quality and very useful indeed if you want a bit more control over your online presence.

Great product. It’s so simple to install and use.
Take out of box place on top of monitor (if used as I for teams chat). I used on windows laptop and configured automatically once plugged into USB port. There is a link in the instructions manual to download the webcam adjustments software from the nexigo website (takes seconds). This software allows you to adjust brightness, contrast etc also allows zoom in/out and panning left/right, up/down.
The picture quality is superb and audio from the built in speaker also good.
It come with remote control on all functions and this allows mute, camera on/off which is handy if the camera is out of reach. Also a magnetic cover to place over the camera for privacy is included.
    Recommend highly

    Plug and play camera.

There is a reasonably well written and well presented manual.

A program can be downloaded to control the camera’s settings but isn’t necessary for function.

The camera comes with a magnetic lens cover, and has a well designed “foot” stand that adjusts to balance the web cam on a monitor or laptop, and has plastic rubber base protected by film to be removed.
The foot also has a screw fitting for a standard small tripod.
The camera itself can be physical adjusted in the usual planes, up/down and left to right.

Once up and running the camera presents a large quality image, the light ring can be adjusted for brightness, but I found it to be marginally effective at my preferred distance from my monitors. Your mileage may vary if you sit closer.
The main image can then be zoomed in, digitally, and centered (moved left/right and up/down) using the remote control (or using the downloaded program) this was for me effective, given my preferred distance from my monitors.
I found the digital zoom did not increase the jerkiness of my image.
Brightness can also be adjusted using the remote.

All in all this is a good webcam.

I am honestly pleasantly surprised by this camera. Out of all the webcams, I have tried so far, I feel like this most ‘complete’ package that I have used yet.

The biggest thing that I like the most is actually the remote. What this does is allows you to change multiple settings. Via the remote, you can:
    – Zoom in/out
    – Change brightness
    – Flip image 180 degrees
    – navigation of the frame (when zoomed in)
    – resetting the settings (no zoom, original brightness)
    – microphone mute
    – screen blanking

I’ll elaborate a little. I’m not sure whether the brightness settings on the remote is changing the EV values or just adjusting the amount of white in the image. I’d personally guess the latter, but it works very well in my experience, especially if your face is dark due to a brighter background. It’s nice to be able to easily and manually change this.

The navigation arrows only work when you have zoomed in. When you are showing the widest possible frame (with no zoom), then these arrows don’t do anything. However, when zooming in, you can move around the general frame a little. The reason this is possible is that the zooming function is all digital, so technically zooming will decrease the quality of the image. However, I’m not sure many people get a webcam for the highest quality; and even when zoomed, the image is still very useable. The overall benefit with the zooming is that you can adjust where the camera ‘focuses’, which is especially useful if you sit relatively far from a desk and find it too much of a hassle to keep on changing the camera positioning for every tiny change in seating position. With this remote, you can move the image a few notches without even needing to touch the camera.

The microphone mute and screen blanking buttons also do work. However, they only work within the camera and not in the PC Software. What I mean by this is the power button on the remote blanks the screen, like it should. However, it doesn’t block the connection between the camera and the software on the PC; if I were to blank the screen using the remote, in software such as teams, the screen would just go black for my face, but teams would still think that the camera is working. There is no physical indication of the camera if it is displaying an image – you have to look at the stream of yourself on the computer. The same applies to the microphone, although, in this case, the light turns green when the microphone is on, and red when it is muted. This has its benefits and weaknesses, but I’m sure some people would have appreciated the in-app support.

Another button is flipping the image 180 degrees. While someone may use it, I feel it’s a waste of a button personally, and I feel like it could be used for a better purpose – the LED ring.

A common feature on many webcams is the inclusion of an LED ring/light with the purpose of illuminating ones’ face under non-optimal conditions. The light here is very welcome. While the brightness buttons do a very good job, it’s still good to have the option of using an LED. There are three brightness settings, being in my opinion, a good compromise between a good amount of light and not too bright – I probably wouldn’t use a brighter setting even if there was one. I mentioned before that one of the benefits of the remote was that you could change the zoom remotely, without having to leave your chair. Therefore, it is a little disappointing once you realise that there are no buttons to change the brightness on the actual remote, meaning that you have to stretch to the camera to tap it to turn the lights on. Of course, external lighting would be better since the quality of lighting will be of higher quality (this LED ring cools the image a lot), but this could solve a lot of problems, such as if too much light is shining on only one face through a window. BTW, if you want to turn the lights on, you press anywhere on the black ring (inside the LED ring). Since all that is required is a simple tap to change LED settings, this would have been better than the screen flipping function.

The image quality is decent. Under good lighting, the colours seem pretty good. I am very happy with this, as I’ve used a few webcams which have much blander palettes. It is worth noting that the saturation of the image decreases when increasing the brightness. I always found the image a little grainy, however, and I would have hoped the resolution to appear a little higher than what I saw. Lower-priced webcams are notorious for having ‘decent’ quality, and this is not an exception. While this camera is a step up compared to the generic cheaper options, it’s not due to the quality of the image, but rather the features.

The sound quality is also decent. It’s very bassy and a little quiet, especially far away at the top of a monitor. However, you still do get good high-end pickup, making hearing clearer.

I was worried the remote would not work/be finicky, but in reality, it works very well. Almost perfectly. It’s much easier to change a setting on the remote than it is to change the brightness of the LEDs. The physical buttons make accidental presses very unlikely and the benefits with regards to mobility of this remote are definitely apparent. Another benefit of this remote is that you can these settings without needing to install the dedicated app, which understandably could cause harm to both you and your PC if not careful. If you’re worried about security, they also include a magnetic cover which you just put over the lens. It has a little hook so you can insert a finger when installing/removing, and it stays over the lens fairly well – doesn’t centre the black ring perfectly, but definitely prevents it from seeing you.

Overall, it’s a pretty good webcam. While it is priced higher than others in the market, you do get several convenience features via the remote which could make it worth it for you.

    Hope this was useful.

    Nice Controls

    NexiGo N940E Webcam with Remote
    ==============================
Nexigo, an American based company, produces a large range of different webcams. This is the first time I’ve come across them in the uk. The N940E, not to be confused with its N940P model, is a round flexible and versatile webcam that includes a useful ring light. It has a fairly good built-in microphone, and a little on the pricey side compared to some cheaper webcams, but represents good value for money considering the features included.
Plug and play operation, with an inbuilt touch sensitive ring light for backlighting. Tested on Windows 10 the camera comes up as “NexiGo N940E FHD Webcam”. It doesn’t actually have true Pan-Tilt-Zoom, PTZ. What it does have though is a fairly good digital zoom. After zooming in which you can do via the windows settings for the camera, you can Pan and Tilt within the already captured area. This saves you having to zoom out, move the camera and then having to zoom in again. I have other PTZ webcams and cameras, these actually physically rotate the camera to move it around a gimbal, this one alas does not. While it is fixed and you are not moving around too much this isnt too much of a problem. The camera does rotate well by hand.
This is where the remote also comes in very handy. I’ve had other digital webcams in the past and moving my chair or getting up and then sitting back down again, I will be slightly out from the zoomed in camera shot, and I would have to go through the settings to bring up the window controls to use the Pan and Tilt to move it back to where I’m now sitting to bring it back to a zoomed in shot.
In the end I would get tired and not zoom in too much so that I could still move around without having to adjust the camera again. With the remote though, you can use Pan and Tilt to adjust without having to go through device settings. At first I thought the remote wasn’t working until I realised the Pan and Tilt *only* works if you zoom in first. On a true PTZ cam you don’t have to zoom in if you don’t want to, the Pan Tilt will still work.
The remote is infrared and nowhere near as strong as a tv remote – you have to point it directly at the camera, sometimes even close up. My TV remotes can bounce signals off the wall – this one isn’t that strong, but it does work. Unfortunately the remote is a cheap and cheerful affair – a little small thing similar to the ones you get with the chinese led light strips. It has an on/off button which doesn’t do anything when the camera isn’t being used by any app. When an app uses the webcam, a green light shows, which is good – you can see if it’s in use just by looking at it. Unfortunately the remote on/off function can complicate things – when you press it while an app is using the cam, it blacks out the camera – privacy mode . . . good right? But no, the green light on the webcam still stays on, this can cause confusion, or even make you think the cam is working, until someone in the meeting mentions your camera is blacked out, when you thought you had put it back on. Or even worse if you thought you had temporarily put the camera off if you wanted to stand up or move around to reach for pad/pen etc, and you might be wearing pj’s or shorts below the table but only realise after the laughter, that you pressed too hard and it’s back on.Luckily I was with friends, but it was still super embarrassing!!
Comedic shenanigans aside, the pan and tilt on the remote works well to adjust a zoomed in shot if you move around within the camera field of view. It also has a reset button, to reset PTZ values, as well as a button to adjust zoom and brightness. It also surprisingly has a button to flip the camera image along the horizontal axis – you would use this if the camera is mounted upside down on ceiling or such – the webcam has a standard camera thread on its mounting bracket. Remote also has a useful mute button.
The ring light is a very nice feature, but its controls are separate from the webcam – you can’t control it via the remote or the software – you physically have to touch anywhere on the black area of the camera. You tap to go through various intensities, and to turn it off, you have to keep tapping to cycle through all the intensities till it then switches off. Its very sensitive, so if you are adjusting the camera, you *will* switch on the lights by accident. It’s a pity the lights can’t be controlled by software or remote, they really missed a trick. Here’s where it gets a little more painful – the privacy cap is a plastic cap with a magnet that you place over the black area. It’s almost an afterthought. After such a nice build they include a standalone piece of plastic which is very fiddly putting on and off, so you end up inadvertently switching the lights on, and then you have to take the cap off, cycle through the lights to turn them off, put the cap back on which turn the lights on again . . .
All in all, a very capable camera, with acceptable microphone, let down in a few areas with the privacy cap being the most prominent let down.

Bought it for home office and work related video conference calls. Used for a few meetings and it works great so far. I already have a Nexigo N60 so I can compare both.

The good stuff: Stylish looking body, looks great on the office desk. The touch operated ring light is bright enough to offset the light coming into the camera from a large window behind me. Work laptops do not allow installation of the Nexigo app so the handheld remote is definitely helpful during meetings to quickly increase brightness or zoom in. The image clarity and fps is good but quite comparable to cheaper Nexigo models so you dont gain much there with this model.

The not so good stuff: In my office setting that has a source of light (window) behind me, the default clarity is not as good as Nexigo N60 even though N60 is almost half the price of this one. I had to increase the brightness a few notches to get a good image. The microphone sensitivity is similar to N60 as well. There is an area around the lens you have to touch to turn-on the ring light – this makes it easier for you to dirty the lens. The magnet at the back to hold the lens cover is not strong enough and does not hold the lens cover in place very well.

Overall a good buy for someone who will set up their webcam and won’t have to adjust, move or relocate it again.

Addition of remote and brightness control justifies the price hike over Nexigo N60

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOne of the (only) benefits of the last few years has been the rise of hybrid working. Yes, firms will give us stock equipment – but these are boilerplate issue and if any of our needs vary, then you’ve got to find your own solution. Both myself and partner have work laptops with webcams built in – and it’s expected to be on webcam whenever you’re in meetings (a practice I actually like to be fair!) but we simply don’t have space for our laptops as well as screens and everything else on our desks (our laptops are “docked” behind our screens, so we can’t use webcam) so we need to use external webcams.

This N940E webcam from NexiGo has genuinely been one of the most feature-rich webcams i’ve used, it’s great. Recording at a sold 60FPS at 1080P, it’s a consistent high quality video image – all while being a sensible shape and light enough not to cause any sudden dips while having it mounted ontop of a screen or webcam-less laptop.

It installs and setups just by plugging in the usb – no elevated windows permissions required. It has a in-built mic (which is the weakest part of the webcam, producing pretty tinny audio), a LED light with three levels of brightness and a magnetic cap to cover up the camera while not in use.

While on, there’s a tiny green LED and what’s very useful is the included remote. Using this, you can zoom and pan the camera, reduce or lower brightness or deactivate the microphone. I’ve included a picture of the webcam, remote and it’s magnetic guard. I’ve also included a picture of the box caught using the webcam itself, then a small video recorded using the webcam to give you an idea of the quality to expect. I hope this is useful!

I was pleased that this camera has a light surrounding the lens so you can still be in a darker room and others can see you clearly. The light also can be adjusted to a brighter setting or shut off if you so choose. the adjustment for this is simply tap the area around the camera itself. This is also a great choice for anyone using a Desktop computer as they typically do not have a camera or a microphone included. This unit has both which greatly enhances your capability. This also comes with a remote control to allow you to adjust the camera and also the microphone. This camera has a magnetic cover that you can place over the lens to ensure privacy when you are not using it for video calls. I am sure you will be delighted with your purchase.

The video features are great and as advertised. BUT, I can’t use the microphone because it has a weird noise all the time in all apps.

UPDATE. Replacement camera arrived and has no issues with the microphone.

Love the video. Remote is very Handy. Software allows yo compensate light easyly. Light ring is great with different levels. Great buy!

I did all the troubleshot, use different computers and the issue remains.
