Works well, easy installation and works just as expected with great performance!
I have been a Console Gamer most of my life, and more Casually a PC Gamer. With services such as XBOX Game Pass for PC, the need for a Console Controller when playing PC has increased dramatically. A USB dongle is generally needed to connect the Controller to the PC, and this is a great little alternative to the Official Microsoft unit. Took me under 1 min to pair the controller and there is no noticeable lag, so works perfectly!
[working with a windows 11 machine] This adapter works straight out of the box for my laptop. Plugging it in automatically installed drivers and allowed me to pair with my Xbox Series X controller. All latency issues that I was having while using normal Bluetooth were eliminated and the experience was as seamless as a first-party product. The only minor complaint I have is that the build quality of the adapter isn’t as good as an original one due to the pairing button being a bit lose. Other than that, it’s a great value for money!
With Games Pass PC becoming increasingly full of games I was pondering playing more of my Xbox games on the PC but needed a controller. This dongle allows you to connect an Xbox One controller to your device. It is a simple plug and play affair and was picked up by Windows 10 without an issue. Simply press the find buttons on both your controller and dongle to connect to one another. In use there is no lag.
I did notice that the tech is a little old fashioned now as the new controllers and many laptop devices have Bluetooth and that will do the job without the need of a dongle. Therefore, this is for players on desktop or who have an older controller. I am not sure how long this adapter will have a market, but it does work whilst it lasts.
Real short version guys and gals… it works…
I plugged this into my windows 10 PC and used an Xbox Series X controller. And it works. As simple as that. Once both are in/on just pair them up and away you go, xbox controller gaming on the PC. Tried it with a few steam games and xbox game pass ultimate and all good.
Can’t fault it and does exactly what you’d expect it to. Recommended
This wireless adapter arrives well packed in a small, unbranded cardboard box. Inside is the adapter itself, a USB extension lead and a page of instructions.
The adapter is made of plastic and comes with a lid that fits over the USB connector. It measures 1.7cm wide by 5ccm long and is 0.8cm thick. With the lid of and pluged into the computer, it extends out about 3.5cm. On the front is a single LED status indicator, and on the end is the pairing button.
The USB extension cable is 58cm long and has a USB Type-A connector at one end and a USB Type-A socket the other.
The instructions are manually printed on two sides of a sheet of A5 paper. The wording could be better, but on the whole they should be enough to get you up and running, including instructions on how to manually install the drivers if you need to. Unfortunately, the screenshot they use to show which Windows Drivers to chose is so squished, to be unreadable. Thankfully though, the same screenshot is in the description on this page should you need it.
Trying the device on my Windows 10 machine and it worked straight away. The drivers were automatically installed and Windows 10 recognised the device as an official wireless controller adapter. Pairing with my controllers was more or less instantaneous. Playing games worked flawlessly, without any lag. Unfortunately, I only have a couple Series X controllers, so can’t speak to its ability to handle 8 devices, but 2 devices at once worked perfectly fine without any issues.
The only real negatives I have, are that the adapter does get quite toasty when in use, which makes me a little concerned over its longevity. I also wish the USB extension lead was a little longer, so that it would reach the front of the PC case when plugged into the rear panel.
Apart from that though, whilst not up to the manufacturing quality of the Microsoft original, this is still a nice little gadget that worked really well.
~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest opinion about it. That’s what I have set out to do, so I hope you found it helpful. ~
Not sure what this product could offer better than original adapter for xbox one controller. Comparing to original this one offers same functionality for roughly similar price. This is plug and play adapter which means no extra drivers needed at least on windows 10.
Size of pendrive, after connecting to pc you can pair it with xbox one controller, it won’t work with xbox 360, tried it. Simultaneously you can connect 8 controllers apparently however i tried with 2 i have got and connect it no problem.
It performing very well, just wish it would be more attractive price wise, about half price of original microsoft unit.
Works well on pc win 11 plug and play games recognise xb9x controller straight away
Me and my son both play Xbox and pc, we often switch between the both and when playing games via the PC we have to use keyboard, This is perfect for my son to use so he can now play using his XBOX ONE controller.
This worked much better then I expected it to, I found no issues with the controller disconnecting or the response time when pressing buttons.
Plus and play item, works instantly without any issues. Compatible with a selection of Xbox’s from Xbox one S to elite controller. Seem to have no problems with lag or speed from controller to screen. Doesn’t take up really any room and once connected once, it seems to be auto connected each time I turn on. Very happy with the item, really good price and arrived fairly packaged 🙂
If you’re looking to play with an existing official Xbox one s or Series S/X controller on PC and want to do so wirelessly then this wireless adapter is just the thing to do so. It’s very easy to get up and running and provides a solid connection without a great deal of input delay which makes it useable for FPS games though I use a wired connection for games such as COD where response time and input speed is essential to compete. It allows for a little comfort if you don’t want to be sat at the desk and works well from several metres away without dropping in performance or connection.
Overall, it’s a great little device at a reasonable price that works a treat so I’m more than happy to recommend it.
Thanks for taking the time time to read my review, I hope you found it helpful.
All the bes
This adapter worked fine with my Xbox controller on windows 10, for some reason it didn’t work straight away but then miraculously it did. Once up and running I had no problem with disconnections or lag. It doesn’t look or feel as premium as the OG adapter but that’s no problem, as long as it works it doesn’t matter.
I got my Xbox controller adapter is supplied in a small white box along with a USB extension
and instructions. It allows an Xbox One controller to work wirelessly on my windows 11 PC, with full functions recognised.
It was plug and play and was detected in Windows 11 without additional drivers. You then press the button on the USB dongle and press the the connect button at the top of the Xbox one controller to get them to pair. The instructions are good at explaining this and have a troubleshooting guide.
When connected the controller works well with a good response and no noticeable lag. I am a casual player and have used wired Xbox controllers in the past but the ability to reliably connect a wireless controller is a real step forward and it is competitively priced at less than 19.
NOPWOK Xbox Wireless Adapter for PC
The build quality is lacking the plastic is thin and i would say be careful as it could be easily broke.
With that aside this adapter does work i placed it on my Windows machine and it coped very well no lag or any connection issues.
The device was plug and play basically the driver was downloaded and installed fairly quickly so i was able to pair the wireless with the Xbox controller without any issue.
You do receive a USB extension if you need to download the driver or update the adapter however, Ive checked using multiple Windows operating systems 7 ,10, 11 and it worked fine on them all.
my only criticism is my adapter does get very warm if not a little hot after an hour or so. Which leads me to seeing how long will this adapter last something i shall update if something goes wrong.
however, i never had any issues while the adapter was connected.
Overall worked well compared to other 3rd party adapters Ive used in the past, no lag or connection drops maybe a little expensive compared to the Microsoft adapter which can be found around the same price.
Compact Xbox wireless adapter for connecting up to 8 different Xbox controllers and headsets to your PC. Runs as good, if not better, than the original and is easy to install and use. Simply plug into a spare USB A socket and then press the button on the adapter to pair with a controller. Comes with a USB extension cable and protective cap. Works brilliantly with my Elite controller.
Can say its a great adapter for that price.
Works well with window 10 and laptop.
Quiet easy to use it and connect it.
Worth to buy it.
Recommending.
Wireless adapter for Xbox controller
A handy little adapter to make your Xbox controller wireless. I used this on my pc. The adapter seems well made. There is a rattle to it though, I did notice that even my official adapter has a rattle, it’s just this one is slightly louder. The adapter has a lid, so it’s safe when you’re not using it. You also get a 65cm USB extender for the adapter too.
This was really quick and easy to use, make sure your controller is turned and and the adapter is plugged in, hold the connect button on the controller and the one at the top of the adapter and within a few seconds, it’s connected. I was impressed how quickly this was ready to use.
Whilst using the adapter, for hours on end, there was no lags, no disconnections, everything worked well.
I would recommend this. I think it’s good for the price. I’ve not tried a non official adapter before and it absolutely worked a lot better than I thought it would.
This dongle works perfectly with older controllers which don’t have Bluetooth capability.
The adapter was instantly recognised as a wireless adapter (not a Bluetooth adapter in a suit) and I was up and running within 20 seconds.
Loaded gamepass and everything worked as it should, no lag, no disconnections.
Great item to get gaming on pc.
NOPWOK Xbox Wireless Adapter for PC Windows 10 / 7 / 8 / 8.1 , Wireless Adapter Compatible
I was a bit dubious if this adapter would actually work having purchased one some months back which wouldn’t work with either Xbox One or X controllers. However, this adapter worked immediately to my excitement, no drivers to download, no messing around with settings on the PC, just plug in, pair and play .
I use this adapter on a laptop running Windows 11 which was fully up to date, the controller was from a Xbox One console.
Packaging and delivery
This adapter comes supplied in a very small package, the outer cardboard packaging is boring, inside the adapter sits in a plastic tray.
Package contents
1 x Adapter
1 x USB extension
1 x Instructions
Setup
I just plugged the adapter into a spare USB port on the laptop, the laptop just made a conformation noise, nothing else appeared on the screen, I pressed the ‘pairing’ button on the controller, held in the ‘pairing’ button on the adapter, both devices had a flashing light, within 3 seconds they were constant, controller connected!
Function and quality
The adapter has a plastic cover which is useful if you don’t intend to have this permanently connected to your computer as it will keep the contacts clean. The supplied extension cable is useful and probably best used if using a laptop as the adapter can easily get knocked or damaged, less of this happening when connected to the extension.
So as mentioned above, it works very well, for driving games I’ve used the controller was perfect, I play ‘BeamnG’ often and it was great to use the Xbox controller with the laptop. I didn’t have any issues with disconnection during gameplay, as smooth as freshly made ice cream.
What I did notice was that I couldn’t just switch the controller off whilst the adapter was powered on via the laptop, I had to pull the adapter out for the controller to shut down.
Once paired, the adapter and controller remembered each other without any intervention so that’s cool. I’m going to be using this adapter on the gaming desktop as it will get more use and the controller has its own charging stand anyway.
If you do encounter initial connection issues then the instruction leaflet is rather good and explains possible solutions.
Conclusion
This works and that’s all that matters in my opinion, well worth the money at 18.99.
Packaging Recyclability
All the packaging can be fully recycled, nice going!
Gifting
Sure, a useful gadget for any gamer that has an Xbox controller and PC.

I got my Xbox one controller to work wirelessly on my windows 7 PC, It was plug and play I didn’t even need the manual, I plugged in the usb into the pc via the handy extra extension cable, it starts to detect on windows, once finished I pressed the button on the usb thumbstick the one shown in my video, it starts to flash, then I pressed the middle button on xbox controller then the connect button at the top of the xbox one controller once the controller is on that is you can connect with the small button at the top of the controller, then both flash and should stay lit, give it time let it connect.
In rare occasion this doesn’t work it should direct you for manaul installation but windows should have this pre-installed, there are other ways to connect your controller to pc but the only wireless way I have access to is a dongle like this, which lets you use xbox one, xbox series s/x and elite series controllers, it is a shame it doesn’t do xbox 360 though.
Minor issues=
1: Doesn’t work with xbox360 but it wasn’t designed to so I let it off.
2: There are some digitally signed notifications when installing this usb dongle its a security notification minor issue but still would be nice if it was digitally signed by microsoft just for support and assurance.
3. The packaging is too small for it, just a little bigger would give me lee-way to take it out and put it back easy without bending the cable too much.
These issues are small though and do not effect the review, it works as stated and its good, used it with xbox one controller with a game and the response was good no lag. I can’t tell you about another operating system other than windows 7 but it worked for me good product.
This is really easy to use and if you have windows 10 most likely the drivers have already been downloaded.
Just plug in via usb. Check the drivers and software are updated and you are good to go. It maintains a good connection and acyually sorted a bit of lag i had with a wired controller from time to time.
There are thorough instructions included also for win 7/8/10 so even an older setup will work with this.
