his battery works great adds about and 1.5 hours of play to your headset which isnt vaery long i wish i had purchased the bigger one from this manufacturer. the battery is light and add so felt weight to it so thats a big plus.
Loving this little battery pack!! I was looking for a way to extend gameplay time for my kid when she’s using it that didn’t involve a heavy battery pack or a long cable. This works great!
This is what the oculus needed from the jump. It’s lightweight and out of the way, doesn’t unbalance the headset and gives you about another 2 hours play time. It’s fantastic! Easy to use, easy to charge, very pleased overall with this!
Woks perfect for when the kids and their friends have control of the oculus as it earns they can play for longer before we hear the dreaded screech that it needs charged.
Very small but adds a lot of play time to the quest 2. Make sure you plug it in while the quest battery is charged – I plug mine in when both batteries are fully charged and the headset lasts longer than I do!
So nice lightweight and gives me over 2 hours more on my Oculus two
It’s a lil heavy so if you’re super into a game and active you might loosen it out. But you use it and take it out so its not a constent problem and it hasn’t happened often and it works perfectly otherwise. I love the colors and it really does help with battery life. You’re suppose to plug this in around 70% and it’ll give you another half hour to a hour of game play.
The biggest complaint I had with the oculus was the battery life sucks. You get maybe an hour and a half depending on what you’re doing. This little battery pack jumps that up to like 4! I don’t understand why these aren’t just standard ussue when you buy the headset!
In actual sense, I appreciate the idea behind this design.
Its quite handy and easy to use. Althou my personal intension was to use it on my mobile phone which actual church my phone.
Thie makes me to see it as a little power backup that you can easily have in you bag incase of emergency need.
Brought this for my son’s Oculus Quest 2 as he is really into this now, he was happy to get extra battery- that he can play for longer. Its very easy to charge, extra play time around 30-40 minutes. Battery weight- minimal my son is said that it doesn’t bother him while he is playing.
The best thing about it is the colour- it is bright red and can be found in the teenegers messy bedroom!
This review is specific to the 5000mah version – it has worked great for me, it has usb-c charging port and a seperate usb-c output port. I love the shape as it is perfect for both headset and smartphone alike. great that you need no cable for the output side! It’s a battery bank that actually fits comfortably in my pocket – and that is rare indeed! I liked the 5000mah so much I did buy the 3300mah version but I thought it wouldn’t take a charge but then realized it only has a single light so fully charged is represented by a single solid blue light. Opps I assumed 3 or 4 lights to show the level of charge but that is only on the 5000mah version..
I had been looking at an Oculus for some time and the one thing that was holding me back was the battery life. After finally buying one it was ear that I needed a means to extend the battery life. So it was between a wired set-up or an external battery. I have had alot of success with external batteries for my other electronics, so I went that route for the Oculus as well. The Oculus 2 battery pack was a great purchase for my needs.
This product is very easy to use. It comes with an L attachment that actually locks into the Oculus 2 very well with the need of a strap to secure it. If you get a little crazy in a physical manner then I would get a velcro strap to make it extra secure.
I have been able to have continuous play for roughly 2 hours with the external battery connected. Which gave me an extra 1 1/2 hours of play (estimated).
I do not really even notice it is connected while using it. So the weight doesn’t cause the Oculus to feel unbalanced when being worn.
For the price I would recommend adding this battery to your Oculus for extended game play, if you don’t want to be tethered by a charging cord.
I can’t feel it when I play and it starts in place. The train it only gets 4 stars is there is no indication of how low the battery is. Only an indicator that it is fully charged.
I wish it came with a C port for charging although that didn’t affect my review.
Basically what you have to do is make sure that little battery pack is on charge. When you are at 20% life on the oculus plug it in and you’ll get about 2 more hours to play. Its worth it for me as a gamer. But streamers might want to buy two and change them ou
There are loads of uses for this small battery bank; it’s not just for oculus, but I’ve been using it for phones, nintendo switches, and other devices.
It works really well; obviously, it’s not the biggest battery, but it does the job and does it well.
Fits on occulus well
I thought it qould have kept coming off but so far it’s OK
Helps keep the charge in the occulus well
Great item
Well made
Does the job
Would recommend
This little battery pack needs charging before use which is easy, via the ports along the side. Once charged it clips onto the oculus and gives you extra battery life. I like the colour contrast so that you can easily spot it!
Battery works as advertised – You plug it into your Quest 2 right at the beginning of a play session, and it will extend the playtime by roughly an hour and a half. I like to utilize Air Link and PC VR pretty heavily, so my Quest 2’s battery would usually die after about 2 hours. When I plug this in first, my headset is usually at about 67% battery after 2 hours. Then, I can play for another 2 hours. If – like me – you found your headset was dying a little too fast during gaming sessions, this is exactly what you need to play longer.
Only taking off one star because the battery is a little bulkier and heavier than I expected (though it’s not a deal-breaker). Also, you have to charge the capsule with a micro-USB cable instead of a USB-C. Not sure if that was some sort of technical limitation, but it’s a little annoying having to use an older cable. So, just be aware.
Other than that, solid product! Would definitely recommend it.
