This product is very simple to setup and use. The phone app works pretty well and allows you to access the PTZ features of the camera. The zoom is ok, 3x optical and the pan tilt works but doesn’t allow very refined movements, smaller increments would be better. Very happy with this camera
Works well on wither WiFi or Ethernet, and latest firmware has the bonus feature on WiFi to lock it 5Ghz.
PTZ works well, as well as Optical Zoom.
Night vision is nice and bright, and clear enough to see whatever you are monitoring.
Nice web interface to configure the camera.
So good, this is my 2nd camera.
Easy to set-up; the night vision works well, the alarm messaging system and the ability to paint-out areas from which I don’t need an alarm is easy to set-up. I haven’t tried the RJ45 network connector yet and the documentation seems a bit thin in this area.
I previously bought the model without zoom (and without FTP), I needed a second cam so I tried some competitors and.. at the end I bought again this one but with zoom (because I needed http://FTP.. unfortunately the is only FTP or FTPS..not SFTP).. in my opinion is the best option on the make
Works well from the App. it was a little fiddly to install to my existing recorder rather than stand alone using the SD card. No instructions on how to interface but I managed to figure out. Picture quality is very little and the coverage is excellent. easy to use the zoom if a narrow field of view is required. PTZ is a bit laggy and jumpy but you can still select the wanted view with a little patience.
I bought this as an upgrade for the 4MP version and I’m very happy. I bought two more after. It has a wider viewing angle and gives less fake motion detection than the 4Mp one.
Setup can’t be easier than this.
Very good product.
This was a right faff to set up on my home Wi-Fi network, but being the retired PC Techy that I am, got there eventually.
You will need a smartphone to download the App and initially set up the camera that will scan a QR Code on your phone. But once connected it doesn’t drop out.
The camera is a nice piece of kit with auto focus on the zoom, both can be used manually.
However, and it’s a big “however”, the downloaded manual is rubbish and although there are some basics, bares very little resemblance to the software that operates the camera. For example in Playback There is a scissor icon, how this works is anyone’s guess as there is nothing in the manual to tell/explain. And what does the “immersion” setting mean/do?
Although it has motion sensing, there is no automatic following the motion on this model. I haven’t yet figured out how to adjust the sensing to the point where the slightest thing will not set off a motion alarm/warning.
It would be nice on playback if the left/right arrows could be used to play/reverse the playback picture more accurately, trying to use the mouse cursor is a bit hit or miss.
On the whole a nice bit of kit and good value for money but, unfortunately let down by a manual that really needs updating to match the software supplied.
I’ve got a few of these WiFi Reo cameras. This one is 5MP and the picture is very clear. Zooms good. Sometimes takes a couple of seconds to focus but I think that’s because it’s behind a window looking out onto the street (with dirty windows, street lights etc) but it does do a good job. I would have top notch WiFi if you will use this and set bandwidth to high on camera. Would I buy another one and replace all my other reolink 4MP WiFi cameras with this one? YES. I am happy with this
Good little camera, bit pricey for what it is, cannot turn the IR lights off. Any shiny surface gives reflection back to the camera in nighttime mode. Therefore using it to look through a window is a non starter.
I bought this ptz camera as an experiment. It performs quite well. Picture quality is satisfactory for my needs and the zoom works well. Pan and tilt seems a bit jittery but that may be due to the fact that I am using an iPad. For the money it is very good. I will no doubt buy another one soon.
It’s a pain to be set up, had to repeatedly try and it eventually connected, once done – it’s a great camera, lots of useful features, one of the best picture quality, works well with the app, would I recommend- absolutely, would I buy again – absolutely, really pleased with i
We have a few of these cameras, this one was faulty after a few months but was replaced quickly by Amazon so quite happy with that.
Good quality image and the night vision is very good
Very good camera, easy to instal and use, the quality is absolutely good and sensor, movement and alert are great!
Very happy with my purchase!
Bought it for the 2nd time!
The PTZ and night vision is very good. Also being able to set monitoring points is really useful. I have integrated it into my Annke analogue DVR and can see the video over the Internet.
One thing not in any instruction is that to integrate with other makes of dvr, use a numerical password rather than alphanumeric. All in all a good product and value for money.
Good clear picture, wide angle (it’s for security not video) used inside house takes in most of the room that it is monitoring. Records to card so no expensive regular payments to see your own footage and Wifi works well too. Very happy!
I finally decided on this camera because I had issues with comparability, where my old Nooie cameras don’t configure with 5g. I like this new camera! But it took me ages to find the QR code to set it up! Well it’s on the bottom of the camera! Just turn it upside down! Finally! I was able to set it up. Still trying to sort out the motion detector because it doesn’t move when I do anyway I am NOT technical at all, but someone else would probably know all this quickly. It has a good clear picture and u can pan it around. Gives me peace of mind to see my cats.
Very good video quality. I like how you can have these running purely within local network without needing internet access or any 3rd party cloud services. Good for privacy. They have a web interface and access to rtsp stream.
So I will cut to the chase on this one, would I recommend it or buy again, well no to both but I have kept it.
This is an ok camera with good resolution for the price.
I have found with every budget Pan & Tilt camera that the movement is very jumpy and you have no real control over the position, which is the main selling point, THE MOVEMENT! There is also a significant delay between telling it to move and it moving, again making positioning very difficult.
But one really good feature is that you can save positions which you can return to with one button push. Very impressed with that, but the Guard point cannot be reset or removed.
The resolution is good and it has a real zoom (not just a cropped image). The auto focus when zooming, does feel as though it is running on a celeron processor (very slow for those that don’t remember).
I have tried connecting this to Alexa. It can be seen in the app, but you cannot view the footage on an echo device which is a real shame. Perhaps this will come in the future?
There is a PC program for monitoring your cameras which is great for live view but does not seem to work with recordings.
So this is another camera that is a good effort but really lacking in delivery.
Works like a dream, far superior to another make of security camera I have been using. Picture quality is great and so far I cannot fault it. The after sales service from Reolink was excellent and they helped me through the setting up procedure to get the best out of the camera. Very happy with my purchase. Not the cheapest on Amazon but worth it.
This night view does not do it justice. Real peace of mind with a monitored alarm, means when I get a call I can check the interior on my phone. Swivel action.
5 stars
The market for these types of cameras is flooded with poor quality products, made by strange brands that you’ve never heard of.
Reolink isn’t one of these strange brands, they’re a CCTV specialist who make great products.
I set this up to look out of our window are the cars and it works brilliantly. The night vision is great and the motion detection works very well.
The Reolink mobile app is easy to use and setup.
The issue I have is a software bug to do with power cuts. Since owning this camera, we’ve experience two power cuts and both of them have cause the camera to forget how to connect to the WiFi. The only fix I can find is to fully reset the camera and start over.
After purchasing two of the outdoor 4g swivel cameras I decided to purchase one of these for my home, I can see all the feeds on one app and they are really easy to set up and use. Reolink are known for there cameras and this one is brilliant and secure.
I have several Reolink C1 Pro cameras already from Amazon which have served me very reliably over the last 2-3 years, given their 4Mp image & pan/tilt functionality. Decided to try this E1 Zoom 5Mp pan/tilt/zoom camera to see if it’s worth upgrading all of my C1 Pros.
Three things are apparent out of the box:
1. There is a strong fish eye effect to the image by default, so you have to zoom-in a bit until the image looks more “normal”.
2. The 5Mp image isn’t a whole lot more detailed than the previous model’s 4Mp image, plus it’s not a widescreen 16:9 image format, and actually looks a bit odd as a 4:3 image instead. Surprising that Reolink decided on that format, given most smartphones & tablets are more widescreen in orientation.
3. During setup the wifi connects much more quickly than the previous model which is good, plus there’s no need to connect via CAT5 cable to the router either during the initial setup.
Overall, it’s a 4-star rating, but frankly I won’t be upgrading my previous model C1 Pros just yet given the above compromises. I’ll wait until Reolink produces a top quality wifi 4K camera (and yes, I do know they sell 4K POE ones already thanks).
I had a problem setting it up but the service team were truly excellent in helping me. I have moved it into an area with poor wifi but it still operates well. I can view it on my Mac which makes life a lot easier.
Camera features, functions, day and night vision quality are all great! However, we experienced an inexplicable situation. The image suddenly blurs and the camera starts to spin around itself. At the end of this movement, which takes 3-5 seconds, he stands facing the wall. Unless someone notices the direction of the camera and corrects it, only the wall image is recorded. It doesn’t happen every day. sometimes once a week, sometimes 3-4 days apart. Is there a technical reason for this situation? I have attached the video showing the situation clearly.
Normally I would give 5 stars for this product but I cannot be sure before the situation is explained logically. Thanks.
1st camera iv brought .
Easy to set up , and easy to use on your phone.
Only thing as I have it in my mancave it alerts when a moth or a light comes on outside .
Still need to play around with it .
Bit of a delay when controlling camera from the house or from work.
But good for the price
Great resolution, great field of view, decent power cable length and the power connector to the camera is not the unreliable micro USB – I have bought many cameras in my search for one that I was happy with and this one is by far the best. Very pleased with it.
I bought this to replace my Swann camera which failed to connect after an update. This is a far superior camera with my ssd card inserted it plays back all that has happened in my shop counter. Well pleased with i
Bought three of these due to them working on 5ghz , my older Netvue ones wouldn’t work with my new router, being 2.4ghz only.
Easy to install, good picture quality and with a whole host of features that to be honest i wasn’t expecting for the money. Early days in terms of longevity but seem to work well.
here is mike in there and we can rotate also. I didn’t even fix on wall or celling ,I am just keeping on place where it can cover all areas. great product ,great price . I will recommend this to every one.
Day 1 after fiddling around with the app for a few hours.
Night vision incredibly amazing!
App easy to use and works well, a slight delay in pan, scan, focus, to be expected as it is running on WiFi (extremely fast on 5G connection at 5mp resolution) and not hard wired in a closed circuit TV (CCTV), you get used to the delay and you can position the camera quite easily if you move in fine increments.
You can set positions, zoom and focus, of the camera in the PTZ menu by pressing the Mark button and name them, then they are stored at the bottom of the PTZ menu screen and you can press on them and the camera jumps to that position, zoom, and focus, VERY Trick and works well and quickly on G5 wifi channel.
Good schedule settings in app I recommend playing around with it for an hour or two and you will get to like it and stretch its potential.
Awesome purchase!
Very Impressed! 10/10 all rounder.
We bought this to find out ” who” was stealing food from the kitchen counter in our absence. We discovered the canine culprit straight away! This camera is simple to set up, simple to use. Very clear picture, sound is good when we use the option to talk to the dogs while we’re out. Good purchase, recommend.
Really happy with this camera. I use it as a baby monitor and the picture is really clear. Sound is quite quiet but that doesn’t matter too much for me.
Fiddly to setup; app not always intuitive – BUT it is available for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android. Good quality images – although the field of vision could do with being a bit wider. Also DUAL band Wifi (and that’s a good thing). There are updates to the firmware & client – and I have to say the one support issue I did raise (which was actually me being silly) was responded to very quickly. So far, I really can’t complain.
I already have external Reolink POE cameras around my home connected to a Reolink NVR so i bought the E1 Zoom camera as it could connect it to my NVR for 24/7 recording. The initial set up was very easy and connected to my NVR automatically within minutes. I had one minor issue trying to set up a custom alarm so contacted support and received a response within 24hrs, i corresponded with Peter who was very helpful in trying to solve my issue which in the end sorted itself out, we are still not sure what the problem was but think it may have been a problem with my router which magically corrected itself. Over all i think the camera is of decent quality, easy to set up and has good customer support. The only gripe i have is it would have been nice to schedule the motion detection as this is on permanently and being in a room that is used it is constantly picking up motion so i have had to turn off alerts and the alarm but then have to try and remember to turn back on when i go out. The option to set up a schedule would have been better. I have knocked off one star for that missing option.
The camera connected quiet easily and the pc software works very well. The day time quality is excellent but the night time I find very grainy.
The phone app, although works I find VERY laggy and it can be hard to position is exactly.
I have it set up with Blue Iris and its working very well.
It’s a pretty good camera, nice and wide angle. Night vision isn’t great though. My old EZVIZ camera was better. I did have an issue linking my camera to google home but the support via email has been absolutely fantastic! 10/10.
Overall I’m happy with this camera. I am planning on getting more 4k cameras and a Reolink NVR. This camera will join that system which was on my wish list.
Amazing camera, good price and ideal for childs room. Not impressed with the poor security protocols that are still enabled and the night day sensor is laggy.
The camera came within 24 hours and was very well packaged. The set up was very easy as long as you follow the instructions. This is our second Reolink camera, and adding it to the network, my phone app and the PC app took less than ten minutes. The only confusing thing which is easily remedied, is to make a note of your log in passwords etc. That bit of the set up is not clear. We fitted a San Disk 64gb class 10 microSD card, and I would say this should be the minimum size if you want to be able to playback and review the history from your camera over a decent period of time. The software options are numerous, and it can be set up for pretty much anything you want to use the camera for. It is worth experimenting with the software options, as we improved the quality of the picture and recording quite a bit from the ‘out of the box’ default settings. We highly recommend this camera.
The software App has lots of options (Good!) but the layout was not intuitive for me. It has hidden depths of function (less good).
I bought this to look after an elderly person. I was so impressed I bought more. It is PTZ and records too. There are many nice features to like, such as remote playback and FTP transfer (protection against vandalism or theft) and recording locally from the remote clip playback.
Easy ways for it to be even better? There are a few…
A) Audio quality does not match the sensitivity of the camera.
B) Remote clips of interest could be marked as read only, so they are not overwritten by the new data stream.
C) The tiny mounting clip is a bit flimsy and should be upgraded AND it would be super easy and nice to supply more than one so the camera can have alternative positions without needing a screwdriver.
The cameras work well when you have more than one at a site.
Overall. Very impressive video quality!
I purchased this indoor camera with an aim to look at outdoors. The camera was easy to use the software is very good but getting the micro sd card into the slot took longer than setting it up. The night vision through glass is impossible unless you turn the ir lights off and then would only work if you have street lights. I am pleased with the camera overall but will purchase the outdoor battery powered with solar panel which should give me what I require. I will go for the reolink as their software does seem to be excellent and you are not tied in to any cloud payments.
Once set up the app and camera work well, clear picture and easy to use.
The setup easy and was mostly OK, at the end it claimed not to be able to connect but by ignoring this and settings user credentials in the app everything was fine.
The SDcard slot is a bit of a pain, in a very odd position and I found it very hard to get the card to click in as you couldn’t easily push it far enough in – had to use a pen in the end.
I used FTP to store images in the end and that works very well.
The talkback feature is OK but doesn’t work great, it has a habit of feeding back in a loop due to the slight delay.
So in summary worked great for what we needed, excellent picture , if we needed to rely on the sdcard slot or talkback it might be 3 stars.
I have bought a number of Reolink products from the 4G solar cam, to solar wifi and now this. I’ve been impressed by the easy setup and especially the easy sharing via QR code scanning to family members. All of the cameras have very good pictures on the high settings, typically 1080p I believe. However that does take quite a bit of wifi bandwidth it seems. This particular camera can run at 5mp and thus does impact our WiFi. How does this affect things? Voice chat over them is pretty much pointless. Sound works but is delayed. Moving the cameras is delayed so becomes a dab, wait, oh it moved, dab, wait… and hopefully it’s where you want it. I’d say the major flaw with this camera is the zoom doesn’t appear great and the picture whilst clear appears distorted. Probably wouldn’t buy this one again. However the other Reolink cameras I would.
The product has worked fine, no problems, the only problem was the delivery route, it arrived in Rochester 2 miles away from me on 25th June@0720 then was sent to Grays in Essex@0828 on the 26th to be sent back to me in Chatham Kent@1205pm to actually get to me @2120, how many road miles is that !! and 7 hours from Grays to Chatham. NOT IMPRESSED WITH the DELIVERY Reolink, but camera is great.
Needed a decent camera to use as our baby monitor which we were watching via our phones and iPad I have tried eight or nine different cameras all of them claiming to be 1080p but in reality nothing like that when you actually set them up. If ever you tried to zoom in instantly you would see the blockiness and couldn’t really see the picture properly.
Finally found this one with three times optical zoom and boy does that make a difference the picture without the zoom is a markable improvement on the other cameras we have tried including the ring indoor camera which I expected to be very good but it really wasn’t. With this camera having the added three times optical zoom feature I was really hoping that the picture quality zoomed in would be just as good And it didn’t let me down at all even fully sending the picture is still an amazing 1080p full HD allowing you to even examine your screen digitally picture still looking amazing. The build quality of the camera and the app that you use are both excellent & simple to set up.
Certainly won’t be returning this camera as there are no other cameras on the market that do an optical zoom For anything like this price. This really is one amazing bit of kit and at an in believable price
Good Camera BUT be aware – if you are hoping to use these cameras with Alexa then think again – the Alexa skill is only available on the US store NOT UK – Reolink Customer services says they are working on it but obviously not quick enough !
I bought this little camera in July 2019 for use as an indoor security camera whist we were on holiday. It works really well, with excellent picture quality. The motion detection settings work well, but as with most cameras, it is sometimes too sensitive, sometimes not sensitive enough, so it takes a bit of patience to get the settings right. To start with, we found that it picked up every change of light, especially early mornings/late evenings and days when sunshine & showers alternated. But we found an acceptable level and were very pleased with the results.
Only giving a 4 star as the only problem I have is the lack of motability of the lens to the position I require. It is wall mountable & the picture quality, night vision & motion detection are brilliant but I do get frustrated with the motion & range of view. If they could tweek this a little it would be amaze balls!! I will add that I have an average semi-sized open plan kitchen / dining / living room & use it to track my dogs movements within this area, if you want to survey a smaller area or fixed point then its perfect for that!
i bought this camera as I own the 4mp version and found it great but just wanted some extra clarity for peoples faces. This camera is easy too set up and for me i was shocked at how good the picture was for such a small camera i use my camera too view outside with great success apart from when its windy and the rain goes on window i painted it black too stop window refection but remember using it this way you must have enough outside light because the night vision light will just reflect in window .Motion is detected easy from far away i have mine set too max it doesn’t miss anything in its wide view i recommend this camera and its one of my best ever buys and if you use it indoors as recommended it will be even better also if you get in too problems just send the team a message Lori was very helpful one thing too note is always have the latest firmware because it may cause video too stick on playback
I bought a few of the C2 Pros and I’m glad I did. I use mine to keep an eye on what’s happening outside through the windows (keeping the cameras inside the house). You have to switch off the IR lights as with all IP cameras they’ll reflect off the windows and obscure vision but I got around it by allowing the camera to go into night mode (with the IR lights switched off) and mounting IR lights outside of the house. External IR lights are fairly cheap to buy on Amazon so I felt it was worth a try. I’m going to try installing general outdoor lighting soon (with the IR lights switched off) to see how well the Pros perform in this circumstance and will update when I’ve done it.
Despite viewing the outside world through double glazing the motion sensor is amazingly sensitive but you can adjust these in the app (a useful user-scaled setting rather than pre-defined ones) and even allocate a chosen sensitivity to time windows during the day. The camera doesn’t support continuous recording as far as I can tell but so far I’m picking up motion without any problems. The Playback from the SD card (which I do through the app on my phone) will show you a good few seconds leading up to the event so that you don’t miss anything and you can download a video segment directly onto your phone. Pan and tilt work reasonably well but it can take a few seconds for the autofocus, which you have to manually select after zooming, to do it’s job so if you want to quickly zoom in on something with clarity in real time the chances are you’ll miss it by the time the image is focused.
I had no problems with the initial set-up and I haven’t had any issues with poor connectivity. The cameras have always been able to connect and stream whenever I want to have a look (no dreaded “not connected” or “failed connection” messages so far), a big issue that I’ve had with another Reolink product I could mention. I can watch live stream from all cameras at once on the app even when I’m away from home over 4g so overall I’m a happy customer.
[These worked for me but if you plan to use them in a similar way be mindful of what you have hanging from the windows. Curtains, blinds etc behind the camera will reflect onto the inside of the glass and this will be picked up by the camera and potentially reduce visibility]
This camera is great! It’s a lot smaller than expected but still works very well. PIR infrared movement detectors have a problem with glass and windows but this camera uses Pixel Change motion detection and seems to work well through a window with an illuminating street light . The picture quality is good but I havent seen the output of any other camera to compare against. All the functionality can be accessed via the built in web-server. It does however feel a bit clunky at times and not always obvious as to where you find the different features. It also uses Adobe Flash instead of HTML5 video…. its a pity as Android browsers dont work with Flash – you need to download the App for Android. The motion detection is really good as you can set up areas for detection and it will ignore areas not included – movement detection and recording needs a microSD card and it was a bit tricky getting the card into the slot. You can also mask out areas that you don’t want to see, like neighbor’s houses etc. It’s got all sorts of other features like push notification and email alerts that I haven’t used yet. I also like the fact that it reminds me of R2-D2!
This product is very simple to setup and use. The phone app works pretty well and allows you to access the PTZ features of the camera. The zoom is ok, 3x optical and the pan tilt works but doesn’t allow very refined movements, smaller increments would be better. Very happy with this camera

Everything sound, picture, night vision, detection to keep an eye on mother and family pet is excellent.
Very easy to setup on your phone. Very clear detection. Great item, well worth the price.

So this is another camera that is a good effort but really lacking in delivery.
does what it says .picture quality perfect night vision perfect ! cant fault it . good value for money
Thanks.
Excellent image and the app is easier to use. Also this camera supports rtsp protocol
Easy to setup, looks good and works well with app. Be good if it used rj45 connection with POE
