Absolute Empfehlung!!!

Does kill typical bugs attracted to lights such as moths. Not really for mosquitos.
Fairly lightweight due to the plastic construction, easy to hand but would not want to drop it.

Its really going to depend on where you live and where you put it. I have this on our deck (near a wall) running on a timer and it constantly fries bugs at night (for reference, I live in Victoria BC). Mostly moths & little green things but the occasional mosquito (which is what I wanted) and even an occasional wasp. Every 5 mins it was zapping something but I brought it to a relatives house 2 hours away and it barely killed anything. For the price, this was definitely worth it.

Einziges Manko ist das sehr kurze Kabel, hier habe ich ein Verlngerungskabel gebraucht.

The minute I received it I put it out, and it started xapping insects right away! I have a stinger brand zapper that doesn’t even work as well as this. I do live in a high wooded area, and it is very dark, so the bright light really attracts them. Maybe too well. It seems to attract insects that may not otherwise come around. I would be certainly nice if there was an on and off button, (rather than having to unplug it) a longer cord, and maybe even a timer.
The base comes off easily to empty the insects, but it is difficult to clean the insects in the inner part (we use our compressor to blow air)
I will also add that this is an absolutely perfect solution if you get a lot of mosquitoes in your house. Five stars for indoors, 3.5 for outdoors.
Bottom line, it is certainly effective, and DOES NOT require pricey inserts on a monthly basis.

Bought it for the bedroom to kill the midges that fly in through the open window, but gives off a strong blue light and the wife couldn’t sleep. So it’s been moved down stairs to tackle flys that get in while the doors are open during the day. Shirt cable but was aware of that when I bought it. Long enough to plug in and put on a windowsill.

Perfect device for the night time when you want the doors and windows open, want the tv on but also don’t want to be dive bombed by all sorts of flying insects! Definitely good to have in the middle of a patio table if you like sitting out there at night and not getting pecked at.

Its nice and bright, attracts the flies and bugs well, maybe not so much in bright sunlight – it does the job very well and is easy to clean out the dead bodies too, give it a quick shake and they end up in the bottom.

Safe for kids, you can’t actually stick your fingers through but i guess that doesn’t stop them trying it with a small stick!

We are yet to try this in the loft where we have ‘cluster’ flies at certain times of the year but i will update if it can’t keep up with killing those annoying things.

I typically seen these in commercial settings and never considered using one at home but what a difference having one of these makes, especially at this time of year.

It’s the season where the doors and windows are always open which makes our home free game for all the spring / summer bugs and insects. These things like to lay eggs around the home and you find yourselves infested with annoying bugs all year round.

The good thing about the TMACTIME lamp is that as soon as they come into the home they are drawn to this device and with a satisfying snapping noise they are obliterated. The remains are even collected in an insect tray for quick and easy removal of the remains. Price is very reasonable and easy to justify and the low power draw of 20W ensures it’s not costing a fortune to run.

Overall value for money is excellent and happy with the purchase.

Great for keeping the summer bugs at bay

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI live by the river and fly season has begun. Some days hundreds of flies infiltrate my house. (There are mosquito nets on the window, but they get in somehow) It is very difficult to clean the small flies. The best method for this is using Bug Zapper.

A lot of people see it as some kind of entertainment and don’t think it works. (Even my closest friend agrees.) But when you put it in the area where you’re really having trouble, it clears all the bugs. Over time, all insects come to this light and accumulate in the basket.

If you’re using it at home, turn off all the lights. In this way, this will be the only light that flies can come through. Already this light is very attractive to flies. They love this light and I get rid of flies with this light.

Also, when flies fall, they fall inside the box. In this way, the house does not get dirty or flies appear on the carpet. Hanging it in a high and central place will solve the problem as quickly as possible.

They thought the kids might get curious and stick their fingers through the grill. That’s why it’s impossible to stick a finger through the grill. (It’s a nice precaution)

    modern lantern and works great!

This works really well, at both attracting the little biters and making short work of them.

It’s easy to hang or place on a flat surface, I’ve hung mine from the top of my conservatory and connected it to a smart plug to turn it on and off which is a really good setup because it doesn’t need to be on for long. I also wanted it above eye level because UV is bad for your eyes.

This is a nice practical mosquito killer lamp, I really like the design as it looks like a normal lamp. I have to say that although it works perfectly, it is hard for big mosquitos to die, as it doesn’t fit through the holes, some got stuck, and others left so in that sense is not that great. It does kill smaller bugs or flying insects but I found the bigger ones to die because of that.
It is very easy to clean and not problems at all. I think it’s a bit dear but if it keeps insects out then it’s a good buy.

This light is a good size, and it’s a round hanging lamp rather than the flat wall mount type that’s common in industrial kitchens. It comes with a small (about 1m) power cord that definitely needs to be extended, as well as a sturdy hanger for hanging it up.

It emits a brilliant UV light that effectively attracts flies. It zaps with a nice click, so you know it’s functioning. The bottom tray may be removed for easy cleaning.

It does work better at night as the lught attracts the flies and zaps them but we do like to have it running during the day too – i have to note if it manages to get a large fly or bumble bee like ours did the other day it makes an audible pop and crackle sound. I like the design of it, when hung it looks like an ordinary garden lamp until switched on and the blue uv light. Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersGood quality mosquito lamp with sturdy base. This isn’t the largest mosquito lamp but it’s a good size to hang inside a garden parasol or for a patio table. It is mains operated but our patio has a socket next to the patio door so I’d rather use mains. We have rechargeable ones but it’s a pain when they go flat. Because this has a good sturdy base we put it on the bench whilst we had a barbecue. It attracted insects but they were flying around it towards us! Once we put it next to us it was zapping away. The best feature on this zapper is the cleaning ring inside the lamp. The base unscrews and then you can pull the inner stick (attached to ring) down to clean the grid, it’s quite effective. Priced at 26.99 we thought it was reasonably priced.

In the spring and summer my flat attracts many small fruit flies (and similar), from the plants I grow I believe. Around the plants, I can use some smaller fly traps to keep the population under control, but in the kitchen, I needed something stronger. Knowing that a recognised way to look after flying insects in commercial kitchens is UV killer lamps, I decided to look at one for my kitchen.

This lamp is a decent size and is a round hanging type rather than the flat wall mount type usually used in commercial kitchens. I comes with a short (about 1m) power lead that really does need to be longer and a strong hanger for hanging it up. The main shell is plastic and there is a removable ‘dead body’ storage tray at the bottom for clearing out all the flies that have been zapped (and prevent them from falling onto the kitchen counter. The inside elements are bright and far enough inside that small fingers should not get zapped.

Having used it for a month now, the zapper has really helped keep the fly population under control and you regularly hear the zap of a fly as it gets caught. It really is an effective and energy efficient way to keep flies at bay.

There is always a lot of Fresh Fruit and Vegetables in our Kitchen and it naturally means we attract fruit flys. It does not matter how well we try and cover them, they are always there. I even tried putting the fruit in the fridge and the little blighters moved onto the House plants 😐

We tried the little pots of Syrup to catch them, and it did catch a few but nothing has been as effective as this UV Zapper. I have used them in the past and know they are efficient and this one has done the job well. It’s not the brightest, and so I fear may not be as good as a double bulbed unit BUT we have definitely seen a vast improvement so I am happy with it.

For a domestic fly zapper this is powerful but it also uses a lot of energy. USB products are available but they don’t work as well as mains powered ones do. As this uses 20w it means to have it on constantly will use up to over 1KwH per day and we all know electricity costs are heading towards being double that of last year so running this can be costly if one only has one or two houseflies to get rid of.

During summer months, this can be a really handy device to have if you tend to get a lot of flies in and around the home. However, rather than having this on constantly one can simply use it early in the morning to get rid of any flies and then use it again around dusk, when flies tend to gather around and in homes as the outdoors start to cool.. use it for one hour at dusk and that should be enough to make sure one doesn’t have fly issues through the night.

Apart from the home, if one is travelling to Asia or Africa and has a luggage allowance, this is very light so it will be a handy thing to takle on your travels as anybody that has travelled to Assia or Africa knows too well about flies.

This is a plastic product that is of a reasonable quality, it is mains powered and can do a good job of keeping flies down. It would be nice if the wattage could be halved so it is more energy efficient but as it is I can recommend it as it is good value.

This bug light came in a retail box complete with a 3pin UK plug.
It is in the shape and style of an old fashioned coach light however the flesh it is very plasticky.
It has a 1.2mtr (4ft) long power lead that enters the light on the top edge, there is a hanging loop.
In use this light uses about 20watts in normal operation, it delivers a 4300volt jolt to any insect that goes in for a closer look.
The light is specifically made to attract insects that will find themselves drawn to it.
The light is a pale blue and not overly bright, I have seen other similar lights that have a much stronger blue UV look to them.
I quite like this paler look, it is less obvious what the light is because of it, I don’t particularly want my home to look like a fish and chip shop!
Although the surprisingly loud CRACK it emits when it is zapping its next victim does kind of give the game away!
We live in the sticks and insects are not in short supply, I agree with our Patterdale who dislikes them very much. This light, while making us jump every now and then is a lot less bother than trying to swat the little blighters with a fly swat and saves me the trouble of having to clean the tiny blood smuts that are inevitably left behind when I get one!
My only issue with this very effective light is the length of the power lead, 4ft (120cm) simply isn’t long enough, unless you want to stand this on a piece of furniture! If you want to hang it up higher, where it is much more effective, you will need an extension lead as well.
I think this is well worth the cost for the peace it gives me and my dog! HTH

Apart from being a pretty lantern this is a very effective fly killer.
My photo shows the tiniest of fruit flies that was proving difficult to capture in the kitchen by conventional methods.
The illusive fly was bothering me as I had some bananas it was taking a fancy to.
Not long after rigging it up and switching it on I heard a crackle and off it went to fly heaven.
I am amazed how effective it is against the smallest insect.
As we get plagued with flies I am planning to use this outside in the summer when eating outside using garden furniture but it is mains operated so dry weather only of course.

    Impressive

This has been working marvellously for us. It works on many flies. We have found it even to work on fruit flies, especially if put where put directly in the area where they’re causing havoc. It is also possible to bait them by putting a small piece of decaying tomato or what not somewhere near or within the device to really draw them in.

First few times of using this we kept hearing a short and snappy zapping sound. This was the flies being shocked by the electricity and falling to their demise. It has dealt so well with our fly issue we hear the zapping sound much less frequently now.

Simple and easy and effective way of eradicating pest flies without having to do anything other than plug it in and position it. I’m also a fan of the electric squatters. These too work very well but unlike this method require chasing the flies around to zap them.

Sometimes electric fly killer devices can give off a bad smell although we haven’t had this with this device yet. Usually this is because instead of falling a fly has become trapped next to the electric elements. So basically they’re getting cooked. So a quick brush down whilst off is all that’s needed to stop the burning fly smell.

This is a lightweight, plastic cased small fly zapper, perfect for those annoying small bugs that enter the home during the summer months when the windows are open.

The base is easy to remove for emptying the unfortunate souls who get too close to the light, and there is a hanging point on the top but I think unless you have a plug socket at a good height, you will struggle to hang it due to the length of cable. It is a reasonable length (see my photo), but I would have liked it to maybe be a bit longer.

There is no on/off switch on the actual unit, you simply switch it on via the mains plug. Once plugged in and on, there is a silent purple/blue light from it, so aside from being bright, you can easily use it in the house without being disturbed. You should note though that if you did have it in the bedroom you will probably struggle to fall asleep with it on as it is bright.

Annoyingly for this review I haven’t got any bugs yet! We just haven’t had the windows open enough as it’s been too cold recently. However we live near water so we are starting to see a lot of midges flying around outside as it gets warmer so this will soon be called into action and I’m sure it will be effective.

I have these bug zappers in every room in my house, they are a lot safer to use than unhealthy sprays. This one is very good quality and very sturdy even when its free standing, it can be hung up but do remember you need an electrical socket to work it. I did find that using it in a darkened room gets the critters better. Its easy to clean and comes supplied with a small brush. Highly recommend these zappers. Overall its value for money.

This fly killer is very good quality, its very sturdy too, you can hang it or have it free standing but you do need to near an electric socket. Kills bugs instantly without having nasty smelly sprays, a lot safer for you and your family. My girls don’t like there window open because “bugs come in”, I have placed this in there room and placed it on a free standing shelf, now when I open the window I switch this on and my girls are happy. Very easy to clean, bottom screws of to get rid of the dead ones and a small brush is supplied to clean the grid. Overall very good value for money.

It seems that mosquitoes like the Blu-ray light the bulbs emits.

I use it in my Patios that is approximately 20’x 20’and never have an issue with mosquitoes or bugs bothering us.

I would hang the mosquito zapper somewhere out of the reach of children and pets.

This bug zappers is waterproof and can be used outdoors ,but I would not leave it plugged in during the rain.

It’s an electrical appliance, treat it like you would your other appliances.

If I know we will be out on the patio in the evening I will plug in before then and keep it plugged in while we are outside.

At the end of the night I always unplug.

For me it’s perfect as I kind of attracting mosquito all the time. And I hate bugs lol.

Works reasonably well in our bedroom…..providing the light from the window isn’t too bright. That’s to say when the sun is bright the flies favour the window to this Mosquito Killer Lamp. When its a dull overcast day or the blinds are down they’ll head for the lamp and get properly zapped. My only real annoyance with the lamp is that the power lead is so short. The lamp seems to work best when hung at around head height or above, but the power cable is only about three feet long, so you need extension cables, etc to be able to locate it in a suitable location….a bit of a schoolboy error by the makers I feel.

Fly/mosquito killer lamp that has uv light. It plugs into & runs off the mains electric. U can hang it up or stand it on the table. The uv light will attract the flying bugs into the centre section so that they get zapped & instantly die. There is a fine mesh grid around the light so any children or pets can not get injured accidentally & it is much safer to them than using pesticides or insect sprays to get rid of flying insects. It will be good to use around the home & if u have dinner in the garden at the table then it will prevent u from getting bugged by the flying bugs. It has a pull out drawer & a little brush to clean out any dead flies easily when u have unplugged it. This works well & is good to have especially during the summer.

    Electric bug zapper

This is a good sized bug zapper! My partner has wanted one for ages and with the weather perking up, it’s perfect timing too.

This is a nice design, not offensive to look at for a bug zapper. You can hang it or leave it standing, obviously you will probably catch more when it’s higher!

The light is within the centre of the cage style zapper, which I like as it’s less easier to see the bugs, which again, looks better.

The size is roughly 28cm x 16cm x 16cm. There is a 120cm long power cable attached, with a UK plug on, I do wish this was slightly longer but it’s not the end of the world.

I’ve only so far seen a couple of bugs, which I guess is good for this time of year, as we’ve not got a lot yet, so I’m hopeful for it to catch a good few more over the coming months.

I do like the design of this, it seems well made, it’s lighter than expected, so I’m hoping it’s durable. So far I think it’s working. I would recommend it. Slightly more than I thought it would be but I think if it worked really well in summer, it would be worth it.

    So far so good

This bug zapper looks alright and I actually like the colour that emanates from the light. It seems to be reasonably well built, although I would have preferred a longer lead with it. So far it has only zapped a couple of little flies, but I am sure it will prove to be indispensable when the warmer summer days arrive.

Although this lamp only has a cable of about 1 metre, that’s enough for indoor use and outdoor as you can use an extension cable if you need to. Just plug it in and the blue light comes on. There is no noise and it’s quite an attractive lamp considering it’s going to attract flies. To empty this, just twist off the tray at the bottom and you get a little brush for cleaning. I like it and it will prove very useful on the summer!

As a bug zapper this works very well, however it is not rechargeable as was described. The lead is relatively short so if you intend using this outdoors then you will need an extension lead. Although this works well I was left disappointed, as I was expecting a rechargeable unit which would have been much more versatile.

    Pros:
    * Simple set-up (literally just hang it up and plug it in).
    * An effective mosquito killer.
    * Collection tray is easily removed.
    * Can be used inside or outside (providing there is an accessible outlet outside).

    Cons:
    * I don’t normally mark products down for things that are clearly advertised; however, the 1.2m cable length is way too short for a product like this, especially when you want to hand it up somewhere.

We live in Scotland, the place with gorgeous scenery, deep fried Mars bars and midges. I am allergic to midge bites; I have to get antihistamine from the doctor from March to October as over the counter ones don’t help me. Midges might be tiny, but they are an absolute nightmare.
This bug killer is much better than the smaller less powerful one I was using last year. First off it is much better build quality, it looks and feels better. It has a bigger area to zap the bugs and the light is brighter to attract more, it is also so much easier to clean the bugs out of.
This year the midges have already started biting, seasons have been weird for a couple of years now and they are around longer. I have this on my kitchen worktop at the moment and it is working well, I do plan to put a bracket on the wall to hang it as it has a hanging loop on the top. As well as stopping the midges from biting it is also helping keep bugs off the food.

Works much better than the smaller one I had.

Unpack, plug on and done. Quite big and needs to be near the plug as the lead is not super long, about one metre. It got zapping straight away and I was not expecting many bugs to be about this time of year. Hopefully it will zap loads of flies as the weather improves. Wasps too? Will have to see how that goes too. To give it a bit of clean you just unscrew the bottom cover and then pull the collar part up and down the main zapper inside, a bit gross but does the job. Glad we trialled this design of insect death machine.

I got his because the weather has been so good lately and I open my windows during the summer and flies tend to come in. Also when we open the garden door and they come in especially when we are eating and tend to go on the food and drinks. I also use it on the garden when we have barbecue. Its great and looks neat and safe around the kids and our cat. The bottom part opens to get rid of the flies if any gets zapped.

Great to use indoor or outdoor during the summer.

I have the problem of attracting tons of flying bugs in my bedroom due to the daylight bulb used. I am pleased to receive this Fly Killer UV Mosquito Killer Lamp to review.

It comes boxed with the lamp, to use you just have to simply plug it into the mains and it turns on immediately.

The build seems to be solid, with a hook to hang outside, a note this is powered by a mains and the cable is quite short.

The lamp has a removable bottom tray to capture the dead flies. The lights are a bright blue led light and run whisper quiet. It is early days to see if this works as there haven’t been many flies in the house.

As the evenings are getting longer we enjoy sitting out in the garden. We live next to a river so there’s always biting insects around. I always have a large stash of candles to break out which work OK but only deter them. This zapper takes care of them once and for all.

It gives off a bright UV light which attracts flies well. It gives a satisfying click when it zaps so you know it’s working. The tray at the bottom can be removed for safe cleaning.

It’s a great addition to the garden for irritant-free evenings, would absolutely recommend.

Even though i live in a flat, I find that in the summer, They manage to squeeze their way into my home even with just a small opening in the window to let cool air in. This ca become a case of either overheating but dealing with no flies, Or leaving windows open and having at lest 7 flies buzzing around my home and my cat’s food bowl.

This can lead to the flies egg laying and i really can’t deal with it every year. I have a bug swatter, But this is definitely an upgrade to the electric swatter. I plug it in at night and all the flies that were annoying me just drift towards the zapper and deals with the job overnight. Overall, This is a great solution to summer bugs, But it does need to be near a plug to work.

I hope this review has been helpful.

TMACTIME UV Fly Killer, 4500V 20W
    ============================
I don’t particularly like killing flies, but then they do contaminate food and spread food borne illnesses and are an incredible annoyance. I used to try opening windows hoping they would fly out waving a rolled up paper in the hopes of shepherding them out, but that would only let in more of the blighters, and would usually have to resort to the trusty badminton racket – this always works as long as you have space to flick the racket, but sometimes you end up slicing them in half, or hitting the wall. This lamp seems a little more efficient – the flies and mosquitoes are attracted to it and the dead ones are collected in the base. This particular model works better on mosquitoes and smaller flies and works well in our kitchen. The larger ones get stunned or fried – you will know when you’ve bagged a larger one if it crackles rather than the usual zap noise.

excellent fly and mosquito killer, although the very big ones will only get stunned or bu

This is quite a good looking mosquito and fly killer, it’s got a powerful zapper and it does really knock them out
The lamp is well made, sturdy and actually makes a nice feature when standing on a unit in one of your rooms, I feel the style is quite attractive when alight, and will definitely keep your room free from those pesky mosquitos and possibly fly’s
This mosquito killer is ideal for hanging outside also providing you have electricity on hand, if you are having a bbq in the garden ( we shall definitely use it outside)
It’s got a good storage capacity for holding the dead mosquito and fly’s and very easy to empty and easy to clean

I made the mistake of buying a USB powered fly zapper, and had it plugged in all last summer. I often sat watching flies buzzing around close to it, and even flying inside, and emerging the other side completely unscathed. I cleaned it at the end of the summer, and it hadn’t zapped a single fly in 4 months.
This zapper is the real deal though, mains powered, with a powerful 20W UV lamp, and a 4500 volt “zapper” grid.
I’ve only had it plugged in for a few hours, and it’s already killed loads of the blighters, big ones, medium sized ones, and small ones, and you know when it’s caught one, because you hear a satisfying loud “crackle”as they get fried . It is safe to use, and the design means that even tiny fingers can’t get inside, and accidently touch the high voltage grid. It is also really easy to clean out, and dispose of the little carcasses.
It has a handle to hang it from, and can be used indoors, or in the garden, but although it shows it hanging in the rain, I wouldn’t leave it out to get wet.
Considering I only paid 5 less for the useless USB zapper, this one is a massive improvement in every way. With summer coming, I can highly recommend it, because it is well worth the price.
