pour regarder les pieces de monnaie , Mais j’aimerais acheter une batterie qui va avec car mon autre que j’ai achet chez vous tomlove plus petite ne fonctionne plus , je ne trouve pas je batterie .
Works pretty good for just viewing stuff. Can zoom in on (magnify) stuff prettu good and picturr is clear. Dont use ut to take pictures or video so cant speak to eithet of those. Use in my workshop. Would buy it again if i needed to.
I collect and sell Mant small items. This is perfect for showing hallmarks. I just take a picture of magnifier to post. Good quality for posting and allows me to use phone camera for everything
We used this for identifying plants, macro abstract pictures for instagram and general exploring with our two girls. We all could figure it out very quickly and get some action going. We took pictures as well as recorded video. No problems at all and could easily preview the saved files.
To upload pics to the computer we popped the micro sd card out and into an adapter and we also used the supplied USB data cable. Both methods work fine.
Switching between picture and video was a bit of a fuss and inconsistent so that was annoying.
But overall happy good product
Pictures show we checked out kittens paw under the microscope and fingerprints.
This coin microscope was great for the purpose we needed it for. We needed to see some fine details
on some old coins and this worked out well. If needing to look at small details on objects, this microscope certainly does the job.
I wish there was a video on how to use this better. However it does work well with coins. I still haven’t figured out how to use the side lights. Does anybody know if there’s an easy video to watch? How do use this properly?
I like the product overall, but there’s a couple of problems. First, is the lights in the base are powered by a barrel jack that is badly fit. Secondly, they cause the USB plug to get dangerously hot. Third, those lights have no power switch. Solved the issue by replacing the barrel jack with a usb power switch from a raspberry pi, and I now use two cables rather than one.
I reached out to the company regarding these issues and have to say I am very impressed. The took care of the issue in a very friendly and timely manner. Excellent customer service and I would buy from them again with this experience
PAST POST
I purchased this item in November but due to health issues was not able to use it until mid January. It was ok at first. Then as I used it more the lights would flicker off and on and now they do not come on at all. The screw to lock down the screen does not do its job and every little movement makes it move. It freezes a lot and sometimes it will not focus exactly. Very frustrated as I use it for my work. I have emailed the company and will see if they can replace it and see how that goes. I will update my post at such time. So far I am very disappointed but customer service is everything to me. Lets see what they do.
My husband loves coins. This 1000x scope was a game changer. I was shocked at some of the details on coins, I never knew where there. And I’m not that interested in coin collecting. But they’re fun to look at with this!
Amazon, in their infinite wisdom, will not let me link to my video detailing my use of this device (including a lot of video from the device). I uploaded a snippet of video from the microscope so you can see generally how the quality is. The bloom on the left is from the light being positioned incorrectly — that can easily be adjusted.
My only complains is the .avi format of the videos — I have to convert every video in order to use them. If you’re using this for soldering though, it’s definitely a great pick. I’ll post an update if anything goes wrong in the future. No news is good news 🙂
If you collect or just like looking at coins, this is the scope for you. The 4.3″ screen is adequate, but I connect to my laptop and the view is WOW. The side lights are well worth the extra few dollars. Yes, I recommend.
his is great equipment especially for students who are just into sciences such as environmental, biology and chemistry. I gifted this to my daughter who just happened to have completed a sampling of 7 mangrove swamp soil and water experiments – I was a bit disappointed that I did not purchase it earlier that she could have used it for that experiment. But hey, she is extremely happy for it and she can’t wait for next semester to begin so that she can carry it to college classes to use for the time being until we get more powerful ones.
This is a good digital microscope that has a nice high quality digital image on the built in LCD screen. Having said that, it is not 1000x digital magnification. It is perhaps maximum of about 200x or so. The magnification is increased or decreased by adjusting the distance from the target on the included stand. Focus is manually adjusted via the adjustment knob/barrel on the body of the microscope. Brightness is fully adjustable via an adjuster on the side of the screen. Extra light if needed is supplied via two external bendable lights connected to the stand. In short for the money it’s a good deal but to say 1000x is stretching the truth. I have still given it 5 stars because in every respect it is a nice instrument at its price point.
For coins it is more than adequate for variety searching and photographing. Images can be stored on the supplied 32 GB micro SD card.
I am happy with the purchase and think you probably would be too.
Received package quickly and packaged well.
I originally left a 1 Star review for this Microscope (which I just deleted) but realized it was partly user error or misunderstanding with directions and losing patience.
How, after contacting customer service we were able to get this up and running. I GIVE A FIVE STAR+ REVIEW TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE tech WHO WAS EXTREMELY PATIENT and very helpful.
The only problem with me not giving product 5 star is that the instructions could have been a little clearer and organized better. Also, you must have or buy a USB Card reader if you want to view or save to PC/laptop which I ordered and received already. Everything worked as stated; will post some coin photos in the coming day or so.*Very HAPPY!!…AGAIN A SHOUT OUT TO CUSTOMER SUPPORT TEAM at TOMLOV!!
Ein Schnes Gert.Es ist nur bld fr die Zusatzbeleuchtung immer den Stecker rein und raus zustecken.Schalter wre nicht schlecht.Zumindestens ist bei mir keiner dran.
It is a great product . I use it for coin collecting and it works great . I was disappointed because it came broken . The lights attached to the base don’t work but there is a light on the microscope . I didn’t want to go through the process to send it back so I just dealt with it but it was disappointing . However the microscope works grea
Pretty good, going to keep it for surface mount electronics. Generally pretty good. Not great for really tiny stuff because you have to get the camera right down on top of it, so you can’t get tools in, but there is plenty of room for 805 size or 603. The aspect ratio is a little stretched. The digital zoom works pretty well at the less extreme magnifications. The picture is about like a budget smartphone, nothing to write home about but perfectly adequate for work. There is one brightness for the flexible lights and a weird separate plug, no switch- you have to unplug the assembly to turn them off. They do help, the top down light around the camera ends up being shiny on a lot of things.
The metal surface isn’t great for electronics, I think it needs something less slippery.
The screen is bigger than some others, I like it because my neck gets crinked up stooping over something for hours, I think it could be better for posture than the regular microscope. That alone is worth the purchase. I still use the regular microscope for inspecting how the solder pasted reflowed in the oven, because it has a zoom, whereas this one, you have to crank it down and refocus to check a spot in detail.
The battery doesn’t seem to work. It’s always plugged in, so no real loss, but it’s a puzzling thing to include.
My father is an advisor coin collector. Took us a bit to set up as instructions are not complete. Yet once we watched a you tube video on a similar product we had this up and running. He was truly thrilled.
Our girls and I have been really enjoying this digital microscope. The assembly takes less than 5 minutes and runs off of the 5 volt charger block that comes with it but can also be run with a small battery Bank. The details of any item placed is absolutely amazing. Wow this is no electron microscope, the details of any object seems to get magnified to reveal a very sharp detail.
The monitor and the light where the lens focus go vertically and place thick or large objects and the focus on the light itself allows for a long throw and trim your focus so we have not had any issues looking into most things in precise detail. The unit also comes with a memory card that you can capture the images and just looking at the LCD alone screens quality for such low price.
This is a great buy them as a gift as well as a science class if you do homeschooling and overall fun as it can really magnify things in detail you never thought was possible
This unit blows away the cheaper video microscopes! It has a much longer range of focus and the quality of the images is amazing! It’s very easy to use and the remote is convenient because you don’t have to touch the microscope and possibly bump things out of focus! My only negative note is that the screen flickers occasionally.
Just got this today so I can’t speak on the longevity of it but it works great! Scope moves up and down and then you just adjust the focus. I bought it to get a close up look at my coins and couldn’t be happier. If you’re looking to purchase something to look for coin errors you won’t be disappointed. It also takes pictures that go to a micro SD card (32 gig included)
Digital microscope for soldering it’s got excellent picture quality very easy to use you can zoom in and see everything clear it’s got a great camera quality you can use this for multiple different thing highly recommending use it for anything I enjoy seeing what a bug looks like inside you really could use it for anything you want to use it for and see under a microscope it’s would be a great gif
There isn’t anything I did not like except I think there should be an off/on switch for the lights instead of having to pull the jack out, no big deal can rig something up easily. For the cost this microscope is a extremely good value for the money. I am using it mostly as a hobby for my electronics soldering and model building. I recommend this to anyone looking for a low cost hobbyist/ or maybe even small repair setup.
The users manual was so tiny I needed a magnifying glass to read it. Unable to find online version or support site. Buttons on monitor have black on black icons. Impossible to see. Main unit seems to be working ok, except for 2 side lights. Decided to keep as is after reading exchange tales of woe from other purchasers.
I’m hoping I’ll like this better after I figure out things by trial and error.
Overall, I really like this product. I am having problems with the battery not charging, though, even using the adapter that came with the product and/or charging it off my computer.
This microscope is definitely worth it. I’ve played around with USB microscopes in the past, and they have certainly come a long way. However, I’ll say this one has a lot of great features that really stand out:
1. The image quality is excellent! I know these advertisements are often photoshopped with “perfect” images shown on the screen, but this will actually deliver that kind of quality!
2. The screen is of a very high 1080p quality. I don’t see those gaps between pixels like low-end LCD’s used to be.
3. The remote control lets you capture images and video with no shake!
4. The camera focus ring is the whole body of the camera. That one doesn’t seem important until you use it and realize that sometimes your lights might block a smaller focus ring. This one is just so simple and easy to use.
5. The base works independently of the camera and the lighting is SUPER bright. You can get all sorts of angles if you are trying to highlight topography by shining light at shallow angles. I also love that you can tilt the camera back, since there are many times that you might not want to view your work straight on. My only criticism is that I wish they used a quick release knob rather than a hex nut on the tilt part. If you want to lean it back, you need a wrench. (bummer) I also wish the glide path was about 1″ taller, but it’s completely useable as is.
Overall, I’m blown away by this thing. At $149, Tomlov really delivered. I can honestly say, “Look no further!” 🙂
light weight and clear great for people with vision problems shows a great picture of coins and any defects
The image is 4star it does have a blurry spot . I thought I would be able to see the entire coin but can only see a small portion of it at a time .
Fast shipping, item was better than expected!!!
Love it so much
Works great, going back through all my coins to see what I missed. The pic is the first error I found with the TOMLOV DM4S.
Could not be happier with the picture quality! Using it for coin collecting awesome!
pour regarder les pieces de monnaie , Mais j’aimerais acheter une batterie qui va avec car mon autre que j’ai achet chez vous tomlove plus petite ne fonctionne plus , je ne trouve pas je batterie .
It is really clear and the focus is easy to use. I do not use the 2 extra LED lights it came with, it’s not needed.
Works so good, I had gotten one for my mom and turned around and got me one as well.
THIS MICROSCOPE IS AMAZING! THE ONLY VALUE EXCEEDS PRICE ITEM I HAVE PURCHASED SINCE I CAN REMEMBER! THANKS FOR AN EXCELLENT ITEM!

Only used it once so far. Pretty cool. Easy to use.
It’s exactly what I needed. Searching for error coins is very easy.
