I really like this extension tower it’s not too tall but it has enough sockets for me to use near my desk. It has eight sockets for plugs as well as 4USB ports.

I am very happy with the quality of this adapter and I’ve had no issues I’ve been using it for over six months now.

I have this under my desk at work helping to power my computer printer and scanner also have usb chargers plugged in for my wireless phone charger. It does a great job of powering all my devices without any fuss. It’s solidly built and has a decent length of cable to run to the socket. There’s a large on off button on the top so you can easily cut the power to all devices. This is probably the only thing some may find annoying as you can’t individually turn each plug off. This is no issue though for me.
Overall it’s a good extension lead and gets the job done with little fuss.

Made to be perfect for the desk and can even be placed on the desj without looking too inconspicuos. Very pleased with this and all aoudn the same price as a normal extention plug

Sturdy, well configured and adequate sockets along with USB ports. I have this in my hall to use with my freezer, under stair light and a WiFi extender. Plus I plug in a rechargeable hoover a few times a week and all is fine. If the device trips and cuts out there’s an accessible button on the top to restart the extension sockets.

Tge cable is very thick and long, superb quality in fact. The build of this device gives me confidence that my electrical items will be protected.

With eight power sockets and four USB sockets this extension lead can solve a lot of problems when it comes to powering audio-visual equipment or a computer centre. Enough sockets to plug in all the equipment in one place. The USB sockets are not fast-charging but are more than sufficient for fans, lights and any equipment that does not need to pass data.
The cable length is adequate enough to tuck the extension away under cupboards, etc., and has a central power button so that all equipment can have the power turned off if necessary. Certainly it is space-saving and can take the place of two of the regular power extensions.
For this reason if no other I find this a great product and can happily recommend it.

    Good space-saving power extensio

More and more devices these days are charged and powered via a USB port, so this extension lead is a fantastic idea. I have connected my electronic clock and digital radio to it via two of the available USB ports, so they are charging permanently.

I have used another of the USB ports to power my Bluetooth speaker when I am using that too, so I find that this lead has enough ports to satisfy my requirements. I’ve also used two of the AC outlets for a light and a vacuum cleaner, so that was five devices I had plugged in to it at the one time and there was no overheating or outage, so I can’t recommend this extension lead enough.

As we get more and more electric goods we need more and more sockets. USB Ports are in much demand today and this is a solution.

The block adds an extra seven sockets to the mains so it’s very good for rooms such as bedrooms that have very few. Even bedrooms today need extra sockets as many have TVs DVD Players, lamps etc. and some even have tea makers to wake up to a hot cup of tea.

Regardless of the room and the electrical contents this can be a great solution to a shortage of power outlets It has a load bearing of 3KwH (3,000w) and it’s unlikely that one will ever get anywhere near overloading this as modern electrics use little power compared to those of yesteryear.

The only disappointing thing about this socket block is the USB Ports as they are USB 2.0 Ports so aren’t so good with fast charging cables as they require USB 3.0 or some now have 4.0. The way to tell the difference is inside the plugs / Ports as they are colour coded. White is USB 2.0, blue is 3.0 and purple is 4.0.

Quality wise, I have seen better as the plastic casing is not as strong as I would like to see as there are products similar with much stronger casings but setting that aside and considering the solutions it can deliver this is good value so I am recomending it.

One cannot have too many mains and USB sockets, fact.
I already have a larger one of these, with 3 vertical sockets and 4 usb sockets which is in daily use.
This has 2 vertical sockets and 4 USB sockets.
    The cable is 10ft long.

I find this type of adaptor avoids the problem of using several wall-wart type of psu, because each of the 4 faces has only 2 sockets it is easy to use up to 4 wall warts and 4 normal plugs.

This is a nice and compact black extension tower that comes with a good length power cable (3 metres) and 8 plug outlets plus 4 USB ports.

It can handle numerous plugs at the same time and also USB cables, and the performance of the amount of power coming from the USB ports is not affected. That’s based on me using a maximum of 6 plugs and 3 USB ports at any one time.

If I use all 8 plugs and 4 USB ports and the performance drops, then I will update this review.

The construction of the unit is good and I have encountered no issues with overheating at all.

The Hoasun tower extension lead is a great multi purpose extension for the home. It has independant power control so doesn’t need to be switched on and off at the wall, it holds 8 24v plugs and 4 USB ports supporting a maximum load of 3250W.

I use it in the office connecting computers, monitors, smart home devices, soundbars, printers, router etc. Perfect for purpose and a good price too.

Good amount of ports and easy to use

This is the last extension you will ever need.

With a power cord of 3M, with 8 power sockets and 4 USB outlets you won’t be needing anymore extensions.

The black looks of this extension will blend in perfectly where you put it and if it doens’t will look cool while at it.

This extension lead is rigged with so many features. Starting with:

    – 3.4A Fast USB Charging Port
    – ABS + PC Fireproof Material
    – Overload Protection
    – Wide-Spaced Outlets
    – One Button for All
    – 3M/10 FT Extension Lead

Its compact size will fit anywhere with a height of 17CM and a diameter of 11CM it will absolutely satisfy you.

My usual extension cables spread horizontally which uses up space. This extension cable, on the other hand, is vertical, comes with a 3M cable, 8 AC outlets and 4 x 3.4A Fast USB ports. It also comes with 3000W Overload Protection which cuts the power if the loads go over the limit so it’s safe to use.
I’ve put it in the study room and plugged in my printer, the laptop charger, a lamp cable and an iPhone charger and I still have plenty more ports to use.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersRecently I bought this HOASUN Tower Extension for my office. It is very small in size and occupies very little space. It is provided with 8 outlets and 4 USB ports. We can connect 12 devices at a time to this equipment and do our work. It can be used as a plugboard and charging station. It is made up of good quality fire resistance material to protect other devices. It is built with a surge protector which can automatically disconnect the power supply if any fire accident occurs. It is provided with 10 FT extension leads, which are more than enough for office use. After using this tower extension, I am planning to buy it for my house.

    Pros:
    – Nice clean and stylish design
    – 3 metres of lead which is great as most only come with 2 metres
    – surge protected to keep your electronics safe
    – Good overall output from the extension lead (3000 watts)
    – I like the convenience of having a power button on the extension lead which allows me to quickly shut off all devices connected to it.
    – Plugs easily plug in/out to the extension lead. Not tight or sticky.

    Cons:
    – The 4 USB ports will provide a max output of 17 watts. Not bad, but I would have like to see a bit more as when all in use you won’t get fast charging.

I hope you find this review helpful

It is compact and well built with ample of ports, all signs of a great extension cord.
Having 8 plug slots in such a small form factor is rare and makes it ideal for a home office set-up as it can simply be tucked away with all cables plugged in. The 3 M long lead further adds to that versatility. Having USB ports is a killer as it essentially converts this is into a 12 gang power lead. A thing to note is that while the USB ports support 3.4 A, they don’t support any QC x.0 standards so it won’t be fast charging any modern smartphones. It’s good that they don’t advertise QC but it’s to bear in mind. The high amperage of the USB ports it great for high wattage devices though.

    vertical extension lead
    ==================
Nice compact vertical extension block with plenty of sockets and four usb charging ports. Listing incorrectly states fast usb charging – tested with Note 9 , the phone does not fast charge on the usb ports. Ironically the same phone and cable fast charges if I use a normal fast charger plug using the 3 pin on this vertical extension block. Unit I received has some minor scuff and cosmetic marks, but otherwise, other than the non usb fast charging, works ok.

    useful extension block

This manages to create 8 sockets and 4 USB A in a very compact package. It has good surge and overload protection too. The main issue I have is the limit on the USB output which is low by modern standards. But with 8 sockets I can afford to plug in a separate rapid charger for my phone.

Overall well made with a lot of sockets.

I wanted an extension lead that isn’t a strip and have plenty of sockets and USB ports. This one caught my attention after reading it’d specifications.
This extension lead has a generous 3 meter long lead which is ideal for my spare small computer room. The room unfortunately has 1 socket and this extension is ideal for the job. The 3m cable gave me flexibility to reach the side table where I was able to plug a few USB gadgets into it and 3 plugs (it’s got 8 sockets) from my computer, monitor and printer as well. The mini tower unit has a single spring action power ON/OFF button. The unit can protect my equipment from circuit overload and has a moisture proof feature.
The USB max current is 3.4A and is speedy.
The unit is small, compact and made from solid ABS plastics and is rugged and durable. The wire and plug is thick and good quality.
When not in use, I also move it to my large shed where I also hang out sometimes and this waterproof, moisture proof and safety cut out mode gives me peace of mind.
This unit is excellent value for money.

This is about 190mm by 145mm by 140mm with 8 3-pin plug sockets, 2 on each of the sides, and 4 USB ports.
The cable is a good 3 metres which means you don’t have to be right next to a plug socket to use this.
    It offers surge protection which
The USB ports are high speed connection which charges your compatible phone up much quicker. Then there’s the power load protection which cuts the power to this if the load goes over 3000watts.
It doesn’t have separate switches for each socket, only having 1 main button which turns this on or off.
It’s well made and sits comfortably on the floor or a desk without the fear of falling over.
In all, a fine, well built 8 plug socket and 4 USB ports extension lead which does exactly what it’s supposed to do whilst helping protect your electricals plugged into it.

So far I really like this as it hasn’t blown the internal fuse like 2 of my other brand versions have so it’s off to a good start, it’s sturdy on the desk and has plenty of 3 pin and USB outputs, it’s a shame there isn’t a dedicated USB c port but I am fine with just the 4 USB A ports, it’s well made and the power lead is long enough to be functional so it gets top marks from me.

Compact tower approx 10.5cm squared at widest point (base) x 15.5cm tall. Like the fact it is surge protected, overload protected with a ‘red’ reset button underneath and an on/off switch on the unit. All 8 plug sockets work fine as do the 4 usb ports. Just a note: none of the usb ports fast charge anything. Overall a decent tower with a 3m cord but at the time of review there is no price available for comparison so only 4 stars.

  41. Gilbert61S says:

You really can’t ever have enough extension cables, it’s something that we always seem to be short of, and end up hunting around for. Quite frankly, there are a lot of dangerous non-compliant products of this type (see some of my other reviews), it makes a nice change to see a decent (and compliant one)

Most extension cable power strips are linear, this is a compact cube design, which is clearly well-made. It’s reasonably heavy duty, with an overall on/off button, 8 x gang, plus 4 x USB charge ports. Do be aware, with the USB ports, they are 2.4A, but ONLY 3.4A overall, meaning you can only realistically charge one device at a time, but could use the multiple ports for powering (e.g. desk light, desk fane etc. The extension is 13A rated, with excellent (3 x 1.5mm) heavy duty (3m) flex (for a change.). It has a quality toughened moulded plug-top.

This extension cube is surge protected, and therefore provides protection against spikes and transients that can shorten the life of electronics, making it ideal for PCs as well as general consumer electronics (TVs, Blu-Ray players etc.).

The 8 x gang cube has 2 x sockets on each of the four sides, with additionally 4 x USB charging on one side. On/off button is on top, with thermal overload reset button on the bottom. Unlike some others also, the outlet shutter arrangement is compliant, so that ALL 3 x pins need to be inserted (and the Earth pin actually inserting first — it’s longer than the other two), together to open the shutters.

To summarise, this is a very good quality, excellent product that I happily Recommend, and good value too. Very pleased. One rather odd thing though. Bottom of the product description is this: “This amazon basics power strip Outlet with 8 outlets & 4 USB ports can meet most applications, such as nightstand/home/office/travel/Kitchen/ library/ coffee shop, and so on. This surge protected extension lead is the best choice!” Amazon basics???

I hope that you have found this review to be helpful.

    Good quality, compact, heavy duty.

This extension lead by Hoasun is a pretty decent extension tower.

It comes equipped with 8 outlets and 4 usb ports in a pretty condensed package, while offering a 3000W overload protection. It has a 3M extension lead which is the goldylox of length for me personally and is made of fireproof material.

I’m not a personal fan of how some companies slap the logo all over the place and this is no different but the logo is legible and inoffensive. It has a big button at the top which acts as almost an override button, cutting or enabling power to the whole tower. I like this as it means an easy way of being able to plug things in and out without having to risk doing it on a plugged in extension.

The outlet gaps are as best as they’ll get in such a compact size, which is pretty admirable. With the 2.4A fast charge enabled USB ports, it’s a pretty feature packed extension lead in a pretty tiny package all considering.

    Very good extension lead!

This little 8 way adapter is brilliant. There’s a power button on the top for easy turning on or off, and 4 USB ports on the front for charging devices. Build quality is fantastic, it feels really solid and chunky without it being overly large. Mine is currently sat on my desk powering my work from home setup of 2 monitors, a laptop, speakers, several USB chargers and a Google Nest mini without getting in the way at all, and I’ve got sockets to spare. Recommended.

Works as it should and looks sleek. Considering there is room for 8 plugs plus for USB slots it’s quite a compact unit. There’s a power button on top so you don’t have to go to the mains to switch it off.

My only gripe is that it seems to emit a quiet but constant high pitched noise which is noticeable when the room is quiet.

This is a 8-way outlet of surge-protected AC sockets with 4x USB ports. The cable is 3m long.

Considering the small size of the multi-way, it is great to see it has really great number of sockets. On top of this, they even managed to fit four USB ports in too which is useful. The maximum output across all four USB ports is 3.4A.

Its small footprint is ideal for when there are so many things plugged in at once, I personally think it looks tidier and it also takes a lot less space than having them all plug into the direction of the floor.

The mult-iway has a power on/off button on top.

The maximum power output is specified to be 3000W.
The surge protection level is not specified on the packet.

At 24.99, this is priced probably around the right area for what is effectively a 8-way surge protected power strip with 4 USB ports.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’m used to strips, so this is my first multi-socket extension that occupies three-dimensional space in an upwards direction. I didn’t think I’d like it. But I do.

It is not as ugly as I’d expected, and actually tucks away more neatly than the four or eight-way strips I’ve used thus far. It has the benefit of 4 USBs in addition to the 8 13amp sockets, and it provides LED power lights (very bright ones) which are pleasing to the eye and actually light up the room at night, serving as unintentional night lights.

It has all the safety certification and surge protection that I would expect, and overall I think this is a far better extension than any of the others I have scattered about the place. I’d buy another if I needed it.

I like this type of extension lead, instead of a long flat socket bank, this is neatly stacked in a tower, it has a power button on the top and dedicated USB sockets at the bottom of the block. This looks so much neater behind my TV compared to the one it replaced. It has also freed up some sockets as these were just powering USB leads like the Firestick and hard drive. A nice length of lead – not too much but enough. It is higher in price than standard extension leads.

This is a great solution to a glutton on electric appliances and so much neater than the long extension units. I really liked the long length of cable that this has. It has a mix of 8 standard plug sockets and USB slots. It is safe to use as it has its own cut out system so that it can’t be over loaded. The tower is neat and takes up so much less space than the traditional socket extensions.

This fitted really neatly on the end of my desk by my amp and looks much neater then the 6 plug, white extension board I used before. I plug my regular devices in to the back sockets and keep the front for ones that I might swap around. And having multiple usb slots on the front is a godsend. Also the power switch on the top is very useful for making sure everything is properly switched off. Really impressed with this.

This is a top power socket tower. Not sure it’s really extension cable as just 3m in length. However as a socket tower it is great. Means I can save loads of space under desk. Good idea too placing the USB ports at the base makes sense as they are plugged and unplugged more frequently than other power sockets so easier. Made from good quality materials.

So far I have no complaints with this. It is a good shape, saving floor space over the flat design and not an unwieldy height like a lot of tower extensions. The USB slots work better than some extension leads I have tried which seem to be very slow, if not underpowered.

The issue with these products is always their durability. Based on inspection it seems to be well made but, like most reviewers, I can’t judge really judge until time has passed. I do have a good record of updating reviews when something goes wrong.

This extension lead comes with power surge protection. It has 8-way sockets and four USB ports at the bottom. Socket have plenty of space in between so it will be good for bigger plugs such as smart plugs with a button on the side.

The extension lead comes in hard plastic housing with a long 3m power lead and 3.4A fast charge. This is an excellent extension lead that I recommend!

Sturdy and comes with a long cable

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI received this item through the Amazon Vine programme.
This is a smart looking and useful extension block: it’s quite lightweight (at least lighter than I was expecting) but remains stable in use as it’s base is wide and has non-slip pads.
There is a decent quality 3 metre cable with a UK fused plug attached, eight standard 13a sockets and four usb sockets. The total load is 3.2kw before the trip/cut out activates ( there is a reset button on the base if it does..) and there is an on/off button on the top for the whole block.
The block has a small “footprint” and is a smaller and tidier solution than having longer extensions with usb adapters plugged into them.
Retailing at 24.99 it’s around market average in price. I think it’s a good solution to the problem of not enough sockets, and it offers fair value for money. 5 stars.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersExtension Lead 3M, 3.4A Fast USB Extension Lead, 3M/10FT Eextension Lead with USB Slots, Surge Protected Extension Lead with 8 AC Outlets & 4 USB Ports, 3000W Overload Protection.

This is such a fab extension Lead with plenty of outlets that consist of 8 AC Outlets and 4 USB ports.

We are limited in our front room when it comes to mains wall out let’s so this has come in really handy, even handier that it has usb ports as most things nowadays seem to always be usb.

This is safe and has a surge protector and is triple certified by RoHS, CE, ul and FCC.
    It’s Fireproof too.

I like the design and it stands freely on the floor.
It has an on off button on the top.
It has a good long cable that’s 10ft long.

I can highly recommend this, it’s of a good quality and durability….. So much better than the strip extension leads we usually buy, I like these tower types best.
    Very easy to use.
Price is average for an extension Lead with so many outlets.

We are considering buying another for our bedroom as we are that impressed by it!

Quality and durability is spot on!

I love the size and neatness of this extension . It will take 8 AC outlets and 4 USB There is 3 metres of cable with plug.I have some items requiring outlets or USB on a table and I like to keep extension under table where it cannot be seen. The one I am using is good but just a bit too tall to move easily under table. This one is perfect. Although small it still offers good safety protection. Am pleased with it and in this instance small does not mean compromise.

This is a really useful tower-type extension device. It has space for eight electrical socket outlets and four USB charging slots. The 3 metre lead give the use flexibility about where to place the device.

It has an off/off button and is surge protected. It is compact and seems to be well made and should last a good while.

I wish I had had this before Christmas when I was trying to put three sets of lights onto the tree!

    Very useful....

This does a great job of tidying up the inevitable clutter of wires in a home office etc. for those of us working from home. Helpfully, the mains lead is a good length of heavy gauge cable so you can place near where you’re working.

The 8 sockets have been ample for laptops, screens etc. plus the 4 USB ports handle charging phone, power banks etc. A phone seems to charge OK, but I think each USB is 5V/2A rather than Quick Charge 3.0.

NB you might think by the picture the top section rotates – it doesn’t.

All in all, not a bargain but certainly very useful.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis JW901 tower-style extension lead by HOASUN is a useful and well designed product that can protect your sensitive electronic equipment from voltage fluctuations, surges, and spikes and allow you to charge or run up to four USB powered devices at the same time. This power tower features eight standard UK three-pin socket outlets which can provide a maximum total power output of 3000W (overload protection trips at 3200W). Additionally, it offers four USB power sockets which are rated 5V/3.4A so are suitable for fast charging iPads and other Tablets as well as Smartphones and many of your other USB-powered devices. For safety this product is certified by RoHS, UL, FCC and CE ; it features a three metre cable with a UK plug fitted, a single power switch on top that can shut down everything connected to the tower, and a reset button underneath in the event of the overload protection being activated. This power tower is one of the best products of it’s type that I have used, it comes nicely presented in an informative box and is well designed and manufactured. Five stars for features and value at the current price of around twenty-five pounds from Amazon – it has replaced both an extension strip and a USB charger leaving a much tidier, and safer, area.

These are really good if you have loads of things that need to be plugged in the same area. It makes it easier to keep cables tidier than with a traditional long extension.
It has power surge protection, so good for TVs and hi-fi’s etc.
With eight 3 pin and four usb sockets a power switch on the top and reset button on the underside.

I like the easy access with tower power extensions and having the USB ports at the base makes sense as they are plugged and unplugged more frequently, providing stability were needed most. I like the one on & off button. Good power tower at a good price.
