This is a good quality product. I’m very happy with my purchase.
It is heavy enough never to be blown over. It looks good and it is well designed – there are a couple of grooves in the base, making it easier to pick up and move. More expensive than most stands, but definitely worth it.
I was surprised that, despite it’s weight, it still cannot stop a parasol from blowing over! I think my preference would be to have made it thinner, and then it could obviously have been wider and hence more stable. Having said that, it is still very well made.
My husband put this together and he had no problem. It’s so heavy that I can’t lift it but can manoeuvre it into place with the pole into place. It’s so much better than my old metal rusted one which was also too heavy for me to pick up (I am
weak so other women may not have a problem) we’ve only tested it once as we’ve had no good weather to need to use a parasol but the parasol was very tight and didn’t move. The silver insert is quite tall which is good and a tight fit. My first order from another supplier in marble I believe broke, luckily for me as this one is so much thicker and stronger. You just need a bit of muscle and a healthy back, both of which I don’t have.
Excellent choice, this support is both sturdy and solid on the ground. Lovely finish, looks like marble. I would recommend it to anyone.

Item arrived well packed and on time. Excellent quality product that supports a 2.7m parasol well even when parasol is in cranked angle position.
So I decided to get this stone/granite one. At 25Kg it is heavy! Please get help when lifting.
It arrived well packed in cardboard and polystyrene. The base is really well constructed and attractive looking. It has rubber pads on the bottom which offers stability and makes it easier to slide around.
The only thing that lets it down is the metal pole that the parasol goes into. It could have been machined to a better quality and the metal could have been a bit thicker in my view. The plastic inserts are a bit flimsy. That aside, it is adequate for the task.
They provide you with a tool which makes attaching the pole support easier. You must turn the base on its side in order to connect it. Please take care when doing this, I tried it by myself and I nearly dropped it which could have been disastrous.
Overall a very nice looking base which holds my large parasol upright and no swaying motion.
I would recommend for any large parasol. But I don’t think it’s suitable for cantilever type umbrellas they need a different type of base.
