It gives a lovely clear picture. Slightest movement outside and it notifies me. Very pleased. Just wished it had said that you need to buy a SD card at same time.
Does everything it claims in the item description. Easy to set up and link with Alexa. The app is intuitive and guides you through the connection process in a logical way. Everything worked first time. We use the camera to keep an eye on our rear door when we are out. It also lets us know when any of our dogs come within range and films them. The images are very sharp and clear and the colours are spot on. For the money its an excellent security camera or monitoring device. Simple and effective.
At this price point, you can’t really expect much from a Wifi security camera like this. However, this camera performs well in my opinion! It’s got a simple to use app to get a livestream, it has decent audio and video quality, and it also has 2 way talk so you can talk through the app and out of the camera! The nightvision is also acceptable and gives you a clear view in a room, although don’t expect a lot of detail.
Be sure to buy a suitably large memory card (upto 128gb) to store all your recordings. I’d recommend getting the full 128gb to store as much video footage as possible, because you never know when you’ll need it! You do get 90 days of free cloud storage which is a good period for testing in my opinion. Cloud storage is good because it means you have access to your recordings even if the camera loses power or is no longer accessible.
The important potential downside I should mention is that this is obviously made by a Chinese company. I can’t guarantee that nobody else is watching my camera feed, so I don’t put the camera anyway sensitive like a bedroom, instead opting to use it to watch the front door. However, at this price point, that’s expected to be honest!
Overall, I think this is a great camera for non sensitive filming and I’d recommend it!
This camera is so easy and simple to set up and use, it runs off Bluetooth and wifi perfect for indoors. We’ve been using it for our pets to see what they are up to whilst we are out. The picture quality isn’t the best out there it is definitely good enough and better then most in this price range. It also adds that piece of mind whilst you are out.
I would happily recommend
This WiFi camera is simple but brilliant for my application. I use it to monitor my 3D printer. So far it has performed well with a great quality picture, even in pitch black lighting conditions, with it’s night mode.
The design is simple but elegant, a flat base with adhesive backing, the bracket allows rotation and tile adjustment and hold the camera in place.
The camera connects via the Smartlife app. Set up was very easy and quick. Accessing the camera is just as simple via the app, loading reasonably quickly.
Overall a great camera, it’s doing it’s job very well.
I had previously installed two of these cameras, one to my home office and the other to our landing, I have been very happy with the quality and ease of use from them so when this one came up I ordered it for my wife’s home office.
This is a compact camera but with a terrific picture quality both in the day and at night. The builtin inferred can be set to take over automatically as the light level drops and for such a small unit the night vision is exceptional.
As can be seen in my photo, this is a screen shot from the camera using the app on my phone of my wife working away trying to look busy, lol. Even with the light coming in from the front of the camera the picture is still surprisingly clear as with some others that I have tried any light in front of the lens will obscure the picture so much that most of the area becomes un-viewable.
Setting this up is a breeze, the instructions give a link to its own app but I already have Smart Life installed on my phone and as this is compatible I used that one instead. Firstly I fitted a micro SD card to the slot in the camera for keeping a local recording, I used a 64gb card but this can take a larger capacity. After plugging the camera into a nearby USB socket, for which I did have to get a longer cable but for the most part, the supplied one could be long enough. Once the camera had powered up, I simply scanned for it in the Smart Life app and it was found instantly, if you did want to use the Little Elf app then the process would work just the same.
As soon as the camera has been paired with the app, I went to the settings and adjusted the times for motion detection along with several other adjustments for my own preference and then just left the camera to do its thing, keeping a 24/7 eye on my wife’s room.
Small, good quality and a great picture all without breaking the bank.
Recommended.
For only 26 you will get a nice little and compact indoor wi-fi surveillance camera.
With features such as motion detection, 2-way audio, night vision and compatibility with Amazon Alexa, it provides great user experience and wide flexibility for each user to adjust it to preferred way.
Simple to connect with your phone and start recording or only hopping in so often to check what is going on if you are away. The whole process can be done in under 5 minutes and connection is strong and stable.
This camera is very good quality on image. I like that you can see the image from any device to which you connect your account from.
It is pretty easy to operate, easy to install and the app works well. It says it has an encrypted channel so it hopefully isn’t hacked and nobody can see you and your family. You can add multiple cameras in the app and can choose to see one at a time or to look at them all.
One of the things that bothers me is the way the cable connects to the unit as it doesn’t give too much space and it is not too flexible so it might get damaged and brocken easily. The cable is flat and long but I feel it is not long enough to reach too high if you want to mount it up on the wall.
The image in night vision is good and clear. It lights up red all round the main lens and if you want to have that in children’s room be aware not to place it too close to them as they could get scared when seeing the red lights “starting” at them.
The sound is not very clear either but you can hear what is been said in the room and when talking back you can be heard well.
When motion is detected it snaps a photo and sends a notification. I don’t know how close you have to be for it to detect motion as I had it once in a while facing out the window and kept sensing motion even though there was nothing close so I am not sure what it sensed.
They included fixings and screws to have the unit mounted on a wall or a double sided adhesive circle for no drill mounting. The adhesive is not very strong and the unit kept falling down.
So overall a good camera that connects well and easy to the app and offers a good quality image
This camera is really rather good. I have a full Arlo set up at home to monitor externals but wanted something simple and cheaper for internal monitoring. This camera fits the bill perfectly. It’s 1080p so picture quality is good, particularly during the day with nice crisp and clear images. What I was more concerned with was how it performed in low light and night settings. I need not have worried though as it actually surpassed my expectations right from the beginning.
It’s fairly straightforward to get set up, even for those with limited technical knowledge. Simply plug in the camera to a nearby socket and download the ‘Little Elf’ app. The app talks you through everything stage by stage so it’s really simple and intuitive. The app interface itself is actually really informative although there are in reality probably too many functions for the basic user who just wants a simple experience. That said you can pretty much ignore the advance settings and use this system straight out the box too. If you want more functionality you can still subscribe to things like cloud storage etc. later down the line if you wish.
It’s worth noting it doesn’t come with any form of internal storage so if you want to keep a history of your activations you will need to either purchase and add your own micro SD card or you can subscribe to the Little elf app and store your images and videos in their own cloud storage although this does carry a monthly charge so bare that in mind when considering your options. I didn’t bother with the latter as I chose this to be an internal camera system for keeping an eye on our Labrador pup when we are out, so I just popped an SD card into the slot on the side of the camera, formatted it through the app and it started recording and storing my data immediately. Once again the app is really simple to use and you can easily select between stored videos and pictures. You can use up to a 256GB micro SD card so there is plenty of storage for all your files and videos. Don’t forget if you choose this option you will need to factor in the additional cost of a card which will bump up your total spend a little.
What is particularly great about this app and camera is the live view function. You have audio and video capability so you can see and hear everything that’s going on virtually live. I say virtually as there is a couple of seconds delay between the live stream and you seeing and hearing everything on your device. That’s usual for this type of tech and not uncommon. The lag is minimal however and doesn’t massively affect the overall user experience, at least not in my opinion. You can opt in to receive notifications pushed directly to your phones Home Screen which is really useful. I disabled this function myself as I found I was being alerted too much by movement of my dog. If using the camera as a static CCTV detection system though, this functionally is particularly helpful. The moment someone steps into the cameras field of view you will receive a notification informing you of this so you can get straight onto your two way communication channel and let the trespasser know you are watching and recording them. That’s a significant peace of mind for a relatively low cost investment.
The low light and night functions are again where this camera excels. Whilst daytime images are crisp and clear and full 1080p colour, in night mode the image switches to grey scale but is still really clear even in almost pitch black conditions. There are 8 infra-red LED lights which are fairly non-intrusive and barely visible at night which I found didn’t disturb my pup at all. Additionally there is a pan and tilt function which is really useful for tracking my pup’s movements manually around the room. It’s worth noting that the camera will only connect to a 2.4GHz network. I have a dual band system in place so this wasn’t an issue for me but if you are running a lot of other tech on there lower banding than it could impact the view feed on your device if you are maxing out on band width.
The app as I have already mentioned is really rather good and allows you to export images and videos directly to your phone and take snapshots via your phones camera live and in the moment too. You can even connect it all up to your Google home or in my case Alexa Echo Show. I added the app functionality from Alexa skills and now I can see what’s happening and drop in on activity from both the master bedroom and the kitchen, or direct from my phone wherever I may be. All in all I can’t really fault this in anyway and it works really rather well. For the price I think it’s an awesome bit of kit. You have the ability to add multiple devices too if you wanted a more extensive CCTV setup. Absolutely nothing to dislike and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone. Top notch!
This camera captures very clear video and night vision. It’s tiny and comes with accessories to mount on the wall or any surface you want to mount. You can also adjust the angle of the camera. The motion detector is very sensitive. It can even detect an insect flying in front of the camera. It also captures the object that it senses. I have to turn on the motion sensor as I keep getting notification. It’s easy to set up if you follow the instructions in the manual.
I have 3 of these now and they are all grea
I have been looking for a camera that I can use for both monitoring my 2 cats when we are away and also as a security measure to make sure the house is safe. This is a fantastic way to do both.
The look and design of the camera is nice and sleek, compact and white makes it easy to use in many different rooms.
The set up was super easy, the app you download is easy to use and well thought out from a user’s perspective. The device can also work with Alexa which is useful in our house. You can use the camera day or night and the picture is clear, you also have the ability to speak via the camera.
The flexibility of the camera allows you to view a huge amount of area to give you a great peace of mind when monitoring your home. I am so impressed with the value of money of this device for the quality, and the security it gives you over your home and pets.
What a great way to keep an eye around the house, that too, at an affordable price.
The camera has a sturdy build and many features that make it stand out.
It was an easy setup and can be mounted as well.
Night vision, intelligent human motion detection, SD card slot, real-time alerts, two-way audio, you name it and the camera has it.
Comes with wi-fi and supports 16 users.
Been using this camera for a week or so now and found it to be pretty good value for money. It’s fairly small and light weight, comes with a couple of screws and a sticky pad to give you a choice of mounts. Can also be stood on a desk or table. I opted to stick upside down on the roof so I had a bigger wider view of the room. Shame the cable is only a metre long so has to find a usb cable extender but that wasn’t a problem. The camera was very easy to setup. Install the app and follow the prompts. Running within minutes. Night vision isn’t the best, it works but very short range but good enough for a small room. The app is easy to use and allows two way comms between cam and phone too. Very happy with this little camera.
This is a small web-cam type camera and will be a useful thing to have . I have not been able to hook it up properly yet but it is made of a white plastic and is well made. I need to find the time to wire it up but a trial was good .
Good quality camera and sound function works OK although voice projection could be better, bought to keep an eye on dog whilst at work and does a good job.
Already owned one for the back entrance/garden, this is a great addition for the front door.
This is powered via micro USB, and powerbank could be used for few hours.
Little camera can be wall or ceiling mount, supports 2 ways communication too.
The littlelf app also easily linked to google home, hence I can cast these cameras to TV or home hub.
Great little device to monitor your home.
I like the fact you can use this with Alexa to make checking the cameras a lot easier. It is easy to set up and can stand up on its own as well which is good. There are key features on it like night vision and motion detection, as well as good quality two-way audio. The video quality is clear and it is great for babies and not as much security. I highly recommend it.
his is just fine for the money – it works as advertised and is relatively easy to setup. it has some very nifty features. the hardware is solid and very well made. the app however is a little clunky and not very intuitive. i think with some updates it might improve. another slight complaint is the picture is not super clear, perhaps only 1080p at best but i suspect this is software as opposed to hardware as the camera appears to be decent.
This little camera could be put almost anywhere, it works so well on my WiFi and was super easy to set up with the app.
I liked it straight away to my Google home and it just worked with no issues. The picture quality is very good and will come in handy keeping an eye on the dog.
I think protecting your home is one of the most important things for your family. I can’t always be there and now I can look at my home when I’m in work or on holiday. It’s given me peace of mind too.
You can put it anywhere in your home or even aim outside if you don’t want to put cameras up. It’s quite discreet.
It can sit along other things in home without screaming I’m a camera.
Perfect if you have a dog and want to check in on them.
It’s so inexpensive too.
An affordable little indoor security camera that offers all most people will need for keeping an eye on their loved ones for a very reasonable price: It has storage if you add an SD card, a cloud storage option, 2-way communication, and a movement detector.w The images are very high quality, (even in the dark), , and the camera can be linked Alexa and Google Assistant. . The app is simple to set up and use, and you can manage four of these very cheap cameras on one app.
Whatit doesn’t have though, is pan and scan or motion following: It will only film from a single fixed point, and therefore isprobably better used as a cot monitor or keeping an eye on pets.
This camera stands tall at about 115mm tall with a 10mm lens sitting inside a casing which is 55mm in diameter. This standing on a 65mm diameter stand which stops this from falling over.
To use this you have to download the app mentioned in the leaflet but this takes seconds. Connecting the camera to your phone takes a few more seconds, using your home internet to connect. Once connected you have full control of the camera and can set it to work as you want.
You can stand this on a table or screw it to the wall. If you choose to screw it to something then it’s made easier as there’s a screw template, screws and plugs. All you need to get this fixed in place.
The image is excellent, although it does lag a few seconds at time, but this doesn’t stop the quality of what the lens sees. Crystal clear images which show you everything it points at.
The sound quality is also excellent, nice and clear, although it does depend on the background noises around you and any wind noise pushing through the microphone on the camera.
There’s also the option of motion detection which can be turned on and off using the app. This works really well and picks up motion in the blink of an eye.
In all, this is a fine way to watch over what you love, or just like, or just because it’s yours. This gives out great images and truly audible sounds and with the motion detection this records only what it should do which means you don’t have to sit through hours of footage.
Well worth the money for me.
For the pricepoint this is a fantastic little indoor security camera that’s well suited to everything from pet or baby monitoring to home security, the app was easy to set up and so far I’ve had no problems, the image quality on my phone is great in both good light and low lights so overall I really love it, great value too.
I bought one of these over 1 year ago when I first moved into my own place by myself. I wanted the peace of mind that came with home security but had an extremely tight budget. If I remember correctly I bought it in a black Friday sale. I finally decided to add a camera into each room of the house after seeing first hand that it’s durable and long lasting. It has given me exactly 0 problems and as such I’ve since bought more. I highly recommend.
This little camera gives an excellent picture and is easy to set up. Just download the app by pointing your phone camera at the QR code in the instructions booklet, switch the camera on and wait for a beep. You can then enter your WiFi password into the app and it detects the camera and sets it up on your WiFi network. It took less than 60 seconds. If you have any problems you just need to make sure your WiFi is using the 2.4MHz rather than 5MHz. Mine is set to use both and I had no problems with it connecting.
Once set up the app can be used to view what the camera is seeing. The cameras has motion detection which alerts you on your phone each time it detects motion. This can be disabled in the app. It also has a microphone so you can also hear what is going on. You can also use the app to talk back through the camera. This is very useful if you are using the camera to monitor a pet.
It has a night mode that can detect when there is low light and turn on infra red lights that are situated around the lens. You can also control this via the app to have it on permanently, or off. The picture turns to black and white when in night mode and is OK for short distances.
It is powered with a supplied micro-USB cable and comes with a plug adapter and screws to mount on a wall. The head of the camera can be tilted up to almost 90 degrees (the power cable gets in the way of it being fully 90 degrees) and it can be rotated on the mount.
At the price this little camera is an excellent buy.
