I’ve had the Meross mesh installed since December ’23 and it’s been working without problems. It’s connected to a HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro with a Smarty SIM which provides unlimited data for 18.50 a month. Configuring was quick and easy. The system copes with multiple smart devices and several indoor and outdoor wifi cameras.
Nice light compact boxes so can basically be placed anywhere. I found it very easy to set up and work very good, I now have a good connection in my bedroom, which I’d been struggling with, so for me they are well worth the money.
Wz a bit doubtfull but damn. U don’t need expensive boxes at 200 300. This product does the business. Great wifi signal upstairs now that expensive modems/ routers jus give poor WiFi. I got lucky wit this cheap quality pruduct.
Cheap as chips and does exactly what It says on the box. Super easy to set up and gives a nice clear strong Wi-Fi signal throughout my home one warning — the inbuilt Wi-Fi security is not bang up-to-date and could do with updating.
I just could not get the second to connect to the virgin media hub 3 (modem mode) in the end had to connect in normal WiFi router mode. (double NAT)
The Wifi signal all across our quite large house is now at full bars or at worst one bar less than full in the odd room, this compared to the original Wifi signal from our TalkTalk router which was at about one bar or two bars in most rooms. We are now getting full speed internet everywhere which is great for my Sonos system and for the kids xbox and other gadgets which used to struggle due to the lower speed of the connection. It was also so easy to set up and connected to our original router with the supplied ethernet cable with no problems and no settings needed to be changed other than turning off the Wifi on the old router. After configure the first router by connecting it to 192.168.58.1, turn on the second router and wait 2 minutes, it was all set up! I really wasn’t expecting merose brand to be that good but have to say its a great product and worth the investment. I love it!
The Meross brand won’t be that familiar to everyone. It is a smaller electronics brand from China by the look of things but given the excellent price point of this mesh system it will undoubtedly be of interest to many. Expanding the range of wifi networks is a challenge for many so the big question here is, given the very competitive pricing can this kit do the job of much more expensive competitors?
The basic answer is yes, this mesh kit does deliver good and reliable extension of the wifi network. I used mine to extend from the house to my summerhouse in the garden. There is about 20m and a few walls between the router and the summerhouse so it is a reasonable test in my view.
Set up was fairly straightforward, particularly if you have a basic understanding of networks and wifi. The instructions are fairly basic and clear to follow however there are a couple of steps where unless you are familiar and have understood what a mesh set up is doing you may come unstuck. My key pick up on where instructions could be better is when it asks for router and password. You want to use the existing router and password – what you are doing is extending the range, in basic terms, so think of it as mirroring the existing wifi to stretch it further.
In terms of the speed of the extended network you will see some drop off. Or at least you will if my experience is standard. A lot of this obviously depends on a number of factors – distance, thickness of walls, speed of broadband to start with etc. However my view would be it should give you at least browsing and basic streaming over a longer range than before. Gaming etc I would not rely on it for though.
Overall, good value at the basic end of the market and if you want a budget option to get you online in remote parts of your home then this is recommended.
Since we had our extension at the back of the house we have always struggled upstairs with weak WiFi signal due to the steal beams used for support in the extension.
I have tried multiple devices such as WiFi extenders that plug into the wall but they all drop signal over time and need constant reboots.
This WiFi mesh system has worked really well. Took minutes to setup via my laptop just following the instructions which are limited but clear with step by step guide when connected via a pc so all in all a painless process.
Once password added and setup via connection to my BT hub i trotted upstairs to my daughters new bedroom plugged in the satellite router and was pleasantly surprised when it changed to a blue light meaning connection successful.
I tested this via connection with laptop, iPad and iPhone and all worked flawlessly connected via the Meross WiFi signal. No drop in speed strong signal and even when multiple devices all connected at the same time. Very impressed and highly recommend.

It literally took a few minutes to set up just plug it in and go to the website on the side of the box, takes you to the set up page. It was that easy and simple. My children are delighted as they now get full signal in their rooms, I’m happy as I can control it also.
My whole house has full wifi signal and no more tantrums.

My old powerline adapters were getting a little long in the tooth – I’d bought them at a time when I was living in a long flat and wifi repeaters just didn’t cut it. Moving to these Mesh adapters has been like discovering powerline for the first time – it’s a revelation. The signal in the back bedroom is now absolutely fine, and I’m able to ditch the weird combination of powerline,wifi, repeaters and routers that make up the higgledy-piggledy nonsense of my current ad hoc network. Recommended!
It was going to be only 3 Stars but, in the end, I decided Meross couldn’t be blamed for the primitive state of home networking. Seems to me that anything more than the most basic systems (ISP box, TV, and a couple of phones) will remain the territory of nerds, or people with nerdish friends, until there is radical change in the technology.
Meross does at least attempt to provide an instruction booklet with text large enough to read, and instructions in a clear sequence. But we still get instructions such as ‘log into the mesh router’ without explaining how that’s done. (Answer: On your computer web browser.) And it would have been helpful to mention, at the point of choosing a password, that people are likely to want to use the same router name and password as they have previously used.
The two identical Meross routers seem well built, and are fairly small — though yet another white box to store near the ISP’s router. All the hardware you’ll need is supplied.
With previous experience, or a few Internet searches to supplement the instruction leaflet, setup is not too difficult. And the system is smart enough to do some things itself — like setting up the satellite router, and take care of an associated 5G band.
I wanted the mesh routers partly in order to establish a network where the ISP’s box, which may change quite often, is at the periphery of my home network, not its centre. But I also hoped it would increase signal strength through thick granite walls. Disappointingly, there’s no sign of improvement on the signal from the ISP’s router (which to be fair is mostly good), but things may improve when I’ve found the right place for the satellite.. All in all, this Meross kit seems a good entry point to basic mesh networking, and relatively straightforward to set up.

A lovely product where I am able to use the WIFI from areas that are far form the WIFI router itself. The internet speed is just as fast as being right next to the router to be honest. Very easily paired, it has prevented the lag and slow game play whilst playing games on my console. It has also helped improve the quality of the graphics due to the excellent signal received by the console. I also have no buffering when watching videos on my consoles. It has provided excellent signal across the whole house. Easy to set up, nicely packed and very easy to pair. Would definitely recommend, very satisfied with this indeed!
For the price you could state that it is efficient and does the job well but for some reason when connected up a d attempting to extend my wifi throughout the house, I had a decline in overall speeds. My house does have very thick walls and one off the rooms is a bit of a black spot for the wifi. I am able now to get wifi in that room it’s just not as good as I thought it would have been.
I will say the connection is very stable though. There was no drop outs at all over the week. The setup was done in less than 5 minutes and I was up and running very quickly. The closer I am to the broadband, obviously the better the connection. Im able to game, stream and much more. In regards to the blackout points in my home this has now enabled me to achieve basic things like streaming and internet related work. Unfortunately it just isn’t fast enough to deal with gaming in that room.
All in all a very basic but functional set that will work well. No drop outs and reasonable speeds. I guess I’m just trying to find the connection sweet spot in my home. Hope this review helps.
