Had a a bit of an issue with one of the four weights which was faulty but the supplier arranged a replacement now all is good. Filled the weights with water and the parasol base is quite sturdy. Worth the money.

These are easy to use however I would like to point out to people that they are not easy to fill if tou do not have an outside tap or hosepipe.
Relativley small opening so get a funnel or you will have to carefully jug fill them like I did.

These weighted base plates are great. They are difficult to fill with regular sand so I had to buy kiln dried sand. I wouldn’t recommend water as they can split during the winter. These are not the best looking plates and rain water sits on top of them untill dried out. My umbrella feels very well supported.

Some parts were missing but customer service was excellent and they sent the parts straight away. Units are solid and can see them lasting many years.

Not really suitable for water as the tops are difficult to seal but it is great when filled with sand but you need really dry sand.

This parasol base seems great value for money. It’s easy enough to fill each piece and the screw stoppers have silicon seals, so no leaks. My parasol is 3metres across and this seems heavy enough to hold it down. No strong winds at the moment though. I think it may need sand adding to the water to make it heavier, however I’m not sure as an older female I’d be able to lift them! If it was really windy I would not leave the parasol open. I’m near the coast and it can get hair raising here.

    Works well and looks grea
