Bough this alarm system as an alternative to another alarm system which was installed by an external company. Due to expensive callout charges and a over-complicated alarm system I went with the Boundary DiY system.
For the most part the alarm system was quite easy to install, unfortunately the Hub bought on amazon was defective, when I contacted Boundary, they sent a replacement and the issue was fixed
There installation process was quite simple and if any issues do occur, Boundary can resolve it from their side. unfortunately it is an email only service but they are quite quick to respond.
There service is subscription based which is annoying however there is a free version would only allows 2 sensors and 1 user to be registered. With the paid version they give 2 months free.
10/10 from me, super easy to install and setup and the customer service is amazing
Was looking at buying this system when on offer as I didn’t mind paying that price and the subscription, but now that it has dramatically increased won’t be purchasing as I’m not pay ing a subscription also.
The offer price was fair if having to pay a subscription.
Good alarm for the modern house. Gives notifications straight away and notifies you if you haven’t set your alarm when leaving your home.
I like alarming my downstairs at night which allows me to walk about freely upstairs. Additionally, I have a dog and he doesn’t set off the alarm in pet friendly mode.
Very smart alarm that can be added to if required.
Very easy system to install and only took a short time to install, the Siren took the longest but that was only because you have to attach it to the outside wall all in all a good around produc
Item was fitted day after receipt. A few hiccups but novice fitter and were easily resolved.
Not important to the functioning of the system but the packaging was very well done and each item was beautifully presented in its own packaging and serious thought went into how each item was packaged and presented in the box.
The instructions were straight forward and each item linked using a simple process of QR code scanning on each item and this automatically links to the hub. Having struggled with wireless tech in the past, this was a breath of fresh air and it all just worked! I did have a small technical issue with one of the sensors but the customer service was 2nd to none and solved the problem in no time. In summary: well thought out system from start to finish, simple to install, excellent build quality and brilliant customer service. I have already advised multiple friends looking for systems that this is the one to go for.
