I can’t understand the negative review on here where they complain about it not cooking chicken or 45 minutes to cook a steak.
Gas always cook slower than charcoal but I have used both on this fantastic grill. Temperature even emwith only 2 burners lit achieved nearly 250 c.
I tried the gas and lit the 2 left burners. I put my potato croquets on the unlit side and my steak above the 2 lit burners. I like my steak well done and this grill cooked it perfectly in a perfectly acceptable time along with my perfectly cooked cheese filled potato croquets. Fantastic.
I am wondering if the person who gave 1 star had fitted the flame tamers but along with my previous review all I can say is this grill is fantastic

The product arrived very quickly. Assembly instructions are not great and assembly far from quick or easy. A major problem arose when installing burners. I assumed some error of mine and it took hours trying to disassemble and work out what I had done wrong. After sending the company a video they told me that an incorrect metal plate had been installed by them! The correct plate was sent and I had to disassemble and install. Agreed Pizza stone and stainless steel burner protectors provided to compensate for my inconvenience. I managed to install and can now use the bbq. It is good on both sides and gas side gives decent results unlike some reviewers. Despite the hiccup I would recommend the product and communications re problem were swift and helpful

Bought this just before our wonderful mid May weekend and must say that I am delighted with it. There is some fiddly bits with assembly, but once sorted it is simple to use and makes cooking with charcoal or gas simple. Love the fact that you can move the charcoal basket up and down to control cooking temperature and the gas side has full range control. Not tried the smoker yet, but will be doing so very soon. I would recommend and at a fraction of the price of other more well known brands.

This arrived a few hours after I’d read a load of negative reviews on Amazon, and also on the manufacturers website. I was so put off by the reviews, that I nearly returned it without even unboxing it. My partner told me to give it a chance. I’m glad I did.

It took me about 90 minutes to build this, which I did alone and without difficulty, even with three 7 year old kids running around and distracting me. I built it ontop of the box it came in, which allowed me to spin it around and not need another set of hands. All of the pieces fitted together well and without difficulty.

The gas flows well, and heats the gas side up to 400 degrees very quickly. The charcoal side is the perfect size, and allowed me to build single charcoal bbq’s that lasts four hours. It doesn’t feel as solid as the 3000 BBQ’s I looked at in the expensive garden centre down the road, but it was 1/10 the price!

I’m super happy with this BBQ, even more so for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - I'm super pleased.

I have now used this bar b q 4 or 5 times in both cooking modes and I think that it is great.
It takes a while to put it together initially and really needs two people. I found the instructions clear enough, and everything lined up fine.
I like using the gas for quick informal cooking and I find the temperature very good; it’s not mega hot and, as usual with these things there are hotter spots than others so you do need to use it a few times to work out what’s where. You can also use this side on a really low setting to keep food that you have cooked on the charcoal side warm, or resting.
The charcoal side is great and it’s easy to vary the cooking temperature with the controls available. The charcoal tray is easy to lift out and empty after use and, whilst it is a bit tricky getting to the bottom to clear any residue, I tend to use an old hand held Dyson with a long attachment now and again if needs be.
I haven’t used the smoker section yet as I put the wood chips on the charcoal for smoke, but I do use it for storage which is very handy.
My only niggle is with the food storage rack on the gas section; the design of this means that when you place the cooked food on it with the lid open, the rack is located over the vents in the back of the hood which means that any drips will go through the openings and onto the floor. This is easily solved by using silver foil, either wrapped under the rack or as a sort of tray over the openings, but it’s not a well thought through design.
Other than that, brilliant and thoroughly recommended.

The CosmoGrill Barbecue DUO Gas Grill + Charcoal Smoker Portable BBQ in Black has exceeded my expectations in terms of functionality and performance. This versatile grill has become my go-to choice for outdoor cooking, and it has proven to be more than capable of handling large gatherings with ease.

First and foremost, the combination of gas grill and charcoal smoker options provides a range of cooking methods to suit different preferences and dishes. The gas grill is incredibly convenient for quick and efficient cooking, while the charcoal smoker adds a distinct smoky flavor that elevates the taste of grilled food. Having both options in one unit offers the flexibility to experiment with various cooking techniques and ensures that every dish turns out flavorful and delicious.

I recently hosted a BBQ party for approximately 20 people, and the CosmoGrill Barbecue DUO proved to be more than spacious enough to handle the cooking requirements. The cooking surface is generous, allowing me to grill a large quantity of food simultaneously. The grill also distributes heat evenly, ensuring that all items are cooked to perfection.

The build quality of the grill is impressive. It feels sturdy and well-constructed, providing confidence in its durability. The portable design is a bonus, making it easy to transport for camping trips, picnics, or tailgating events.

While I am highly satisfied with the performance and features of this grill, I do have a suggestion for improvement. It would be beneficial if the manufacturer provided clearer instructions or diagrams for assembly and usage. While I was able to figure it out eventually, clearer instructions would make the initial setup process more user-friendly for individuals who are less experienced with grills.

In conclusion, the CosmoGrill Barbecue DUO Gas Grill + Charcoal Smoker Portable BBQ in Black has become an essential part of my outdoor cooking arsenal. Its versatility, spacious cooking area, and reliable performance make it a top choice for hosting gatherings of any size. With its sturdy construction and portable design, it is a reliable companion for outdoor adventures. I would highly recommend this grill to anyone who appreciates the art of outdoor cooking and desires a versatile and reliable BBQ experience.

Suggestion for Improvement: Clearer instructions or diagrams for assembly and usage would enhance the user experience for individuals who are less experienced with grills

Not even had it a year and it’s rusting already and it’s meant to be stainless. The description clearly states stainless powder coated but it’s not. This cost a lot of money and it’s rotting!

As a dual fuel it’s pretty handy. The smoker feels flimsy but it’s ok. The coal bbq works a treat. The gas also. The gas ring would have been better as a hot plate I reckon but I just wack my griddle on it so it works fine. Small issues, nowhere to hang utensils, coal bbq difficult to clean out and gets pretty messy quickly. Overall happy though.

Wasn’t going to review until we had used it a few times and really happy with it. Still to try out the smoker though. Fat does run out the back though so we put cardboard down to protect patio

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAbsolutely love it. Not only does it cook perfectly, it looks class as well. I was impressed by the quality of the parts when I put it together and despite still being in winter, I’ve already used it 8-9 times.

The only small part I find frustrating is that it’s not the easiest to clean out (the main charcoal bbq part is particularly awkward). This however hasn’t put me off.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersComes in two heavy but manageable boxes. is possible to be put together by one person with a Philips screwdriver and a 17mm spanner for the castors. Instructions are reasonably clear and the screws are in a handy blister pack. all parts fitted together and holes all lined up. Seems to be well made and looks like it will do a good job. Only thing that has puzzled me is a lack of tray to empty coal ashes. I guess this is to keep it sealed for the oven effect when smoking, but it will make a deep clean more difficult. There is a good fat drip tray under the gas portion. Nice big grilling area’s and its a smart looking thing. i bought now as I expect prices will rise in spring/summer.
