The thumb operated flow control is, in my opinion, far superior to a trigger. It can be set to the required flow and remains “locked” in that position, and it’s operation does not require tightening of the hand on the grip to maintain flow, which is helpful with arthritic fingers.

Came in good time and looks very sturdy but due to weather still being cold we haven’t connected it up yet due to frost still being expected? But so far so good

Forget all the expensive plastic guns that last a couple of years. This looks like it will last for ages. I strip the valve mechanism down occasionally to clean and ensure smooth operation. I find a little metal polish works well

Don’t be put off by the strange Chinese brand name. The 8 spray pattern version is is a quality product. I’ve previously owned many similar products from the established brands (Hozelock, Flopro, Draper, Verve, Karcher) and in my opinion they are all poor in comparison to this one. I connect this to my hose with a Flopro WaterStop connector (never been a fan of Hozelock) and have experienced absolutely no problems with water pressure or leakage as reported in other reviews.

Bought to reduce hand stress and finger strain. Very sturdy. Good pattern of sprays, large head, covering garden quickly. Fitted easily on my retractable hose. Good value.

This garden spray gun easily clips into place using standard hose end fitting (not supplied).Expensive but ‘all metal’ means leaks are unlikely, (all the plastic ones I’ve owned eventually started leaking). Metal nose spray can easily be adjusted from sprinkler to high pressure hose with a simple twist of the head.

I purchased a jet spray made by Fanhao and liked it but didn’t find the sprayer very good for my plants, so I returned it, very easily, and purchased this sprayer, also made by Fanhao. This one is much better, waters my delicate plants as well as my borders. So easy to told, regulate the water pressure with my thumb, and exchange the water pattern from shower spray to full flow by turning the head which “clicks” distinctively at each pattern. Thank you Fanhao and Amazon.

Build quality is very good, however I had a minor issue with the connection to the hosepipe. This issue was picked up by customer services who offered either a replacement or refund.

This is a nice peice of kit. Robust, and feels sturdy. The connection is good quality and doesn’t leak water when moving around like cheaper versions. So no more wet feet. The thumb control is a nice idea. Although it does seem a bit all or nothing. Maybe that’s just me being heavy handed? It comes with a nice drawstring bag to over winter it in. As it must be kept out of the freezing weather.
All in all, I would recommend it. Hopefully it will last longer than previous models.

Nice and comfortable to hold, trigger wobbles around a bit. Water flow seems to be on or off, there is no difference between pulling the trigger slightly or all the way. But really I’m nit picking I bought this to wash my car with and survive if my neighbour manages to run this one over (how he managed to do that without hitting my car on my drive is beyond me, lol)

Really solid, and very easy to change the spray settings by gently turning the nozzle. I’ve attached it straight onto our new Hozelock hose using Hozelock connectors, with no leaks in sight. Much prefer this gun to any of the Hozelock ones we’ve had in the past.

Fabulous piece of equipment, after years of plastic failures! Because of low water pressure this spray gun does an excellent job. Thank you.

Despite being made of metal, the mechanical aspects have failed after a few weeks, the nozzle adjustment is very poor. It does not fit well with std push fit fittings and leaks from the connections.

This spray gun is very strong as compared to most of the plastic spray guns on the market! It is operated by a thumb control that seems better than the usual squeeze trigger devices. It also has a better choice of water jets!

This is a very sturdy and robust product. If you are tired of your plastic guns splitting and spraying water in directions you didn’t want then this is highly recommended. I bought one to use at work (construction) and it has had some use over the last year and still going strong so just purchased a new one for home and this was the obvious choice. Just a great produc

Ideal for washing the car and watering the garden. Don’t turn the tap to your hose too far round as the pressure to the nozzle will make it fly off. A quarter turn on the tap should be fine.

This item arrived on time, simply packed in a small cardboard box with two inexplicable rubber grommets (not needed). Simply plug into my brass hose adapters, and turn on the hose – easy adjustment from powerful get to lovely soft spray, and instant trigger action with simple lock.

    LOVE IT ALREADY!

The ONLY issue, but so not worth losing one of my five stars for, is that there were some nasty scratches on the cast zinc portion of the gun. I expect within a few weeks of garden use, they will long have been lost in all the regular bashes and knocks that regular garden stuff gets in daily use.

In short, a LOVELY, ALL-METAL (with soft covering) hose gun.

This spray gun is really excellent, sturdy, well made & fits perfectly into the hand.

The thumb control valve on top of the gun is so much better than the normal trigger arrangement which is seen on most hose guns.

I have used Hozelock hose guns for a lifetime & this is vastly superior, whether it has longevity remains to be seen.

The male brass fitting on the gun is inserted too far, preventing the standard hozelock fitting from staying on. Removal of the brass fitting and packing with an additional rubber washer solved the problem.

Lovely gun feels great and spray is very strong, with no leaking from gun as with every other one I have purchased all leading brands!!!! If you want a gun with good pressure and no leaks then this is the one will last the time I’d say as it’s all metal

It was so easy to adjust the jet and it came with spare washers.
The trigger was neither too soft or too hard.
It was easy to click onto my hose.
It did not leak or jump out of the attachment.
I am now washing my windows with it, something which I did not expect, but a pleasant surprise.
Remember take it off you hose in winter, YOU have been warned.

  34. RandellO43 says:

Good with rubber grip, the metal ones are freezing to hold. We have high pressure, so the trigger is quite binary. it is on full or not. Something sticks inside ours and it won’t switch off when the pressure drops down. It’s possibly our rediculously high pressure slightly broke it. It breaks everything else.

  35. Don Pontes says:

Well made, I would have given it 5 stars but it doesn’t work very well with a Hozelock stop connection, but fine with an ordinary one.

This is a really robust looking piece of kit but it has a silly design fault.
It is a heavy brass spray, unlike the plastic spray it replaced; don’t drop it on your toe.

By rotating the nozzle, it will squirt or spray in any way you may want, and it works well.

The reason I marked it down was it has a silly little chromed hoop that holds the trigger to lock the spray on but unlike the rest of the device, this little hoop is fragile and within a few weeks had worked loose.

I have fixed it but am not confident it will stay in place. It’s a shame as otherwise it is a great addition to my garden tools

This item is very solid and well made. It feels much better than the plastic ones I have used before. The rotating nozzle gives easy adjustment to the spray pattern. It would have been nice to have some adjustment to the flow rate however. Included in the packaging were two gaskets but as yet I do not know where they are for. I suppose I will find out when the gun starts leaking

This is a robust Garden Hose Spray Gun which connected without any problem to a standard garden hose connector. It has a great range of nozzle sprays but what it hasn’t got is a means to reduce the water flow. So a narrow spray is great for cleaning things, a bit wider is great for the garden in general etc., what is more difficult is to go from watering a large area to watering a more delicate plant in a pot (for instance). The water pressure is too high unless you widen the spray area – which then defeats the object. It would be so much better if the overall pressure could be adjusted on the spray gun, allowing a spray narrow enough for a plant pot and pressure low enough not to damage the pot contents. (Don’t be fooled by what looks like a pressure adjuster at the rear of the nozzle, it does not adjust.)
When all’s said and done it is a very good spray gun, but with that one limitation.

For washing the car great but the nozzle for watering plants isn’t too good as it will not mist. Apart from that it’s well made and easy to use with the trigger lock.

Golden Review Award: 49 From Our UsersWhen I was a ten-year-old boy, my elderly, strict, rich uncle took my family for a trip on his yacht round the Isle of Wight. When we arrived back at Hamble, we all helped with the chores – cleaning the boat and getting everything ship-shape. I was tasked with washing the boat down using the high pressure hoses at the marina.

My uncle didn’t like using the cheap, plastic nozzles, so he ceremoniously produced, and handed to me an oaken box which contained, nestled in the green baize lining, his pride-and-joy. A brass spray gun.

I attached it to the marina’s hose, turned on the tap, and, ‘plop!’ The expensive brass nozzle fell off the hose, because I hadn’t attached it properly, and quickly sank to the bottom of the murky brown water – never to be seen again!

It’s taken me 45 years to overcome the shame I felt. Partly to exorcize the memories of that day, I bought this FANHO Garden Hose Spray. It doesn’t come in an oaken box with a green baize lining, but apart from that it’s every bit as fancy as my Uncle Graham’s.

    It works very well 🙂

Used once and so far so good!

Looks and feels much sturdier than the dozens of plastic ones that I had brake on me. I will update again if anything negative (written 24/02/2021)

As far as the negative reviews I read no issues here! I saw reviews mention it not pushing the hose stop valve sufficiently and reduced water flow. I didn’t experience this but if you do have issues just add an extra section of hose and adapter after the stop valve!

Also the picture of a battered unit must have had a hard life and trodden on repeatedly to look like that!

Fingers crossed looks good and like it will last well…….

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersIt’s a nicely-made unit, with a simple, probably more reliable rotary flow control that takes you from a narrow blast to fine mist spray. I prefer this to the rotating nozzles.

Like many such guns, I found there is a need to add a small washer into the plastic connector into which you fit this unit, to ensure full water flow. This is often a product of the plastic connector needing replacement, rather than any inherent problem with the gun.

Nice latch to relieve the hand during long watering missions, but it remains to be seen how long it will last before the hinge breaks. It looks reasonably strong for now. Same story with the hinge for the trigger, which looks a little on the weak side in the longer term, but we’ll see.

    Overall, good value, reasonable quality.

I liked the fact that less water seemed to seep from the connection with the outside tap. It is certainly more robust that your average plastic spray gun and just as versatile. I hoped that it might be able to remove algae and moss from a bench. Unfortunately it did not have the power to do this.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis seems to be a very sturdy and well made piece of kit and well worth the money. The equivalent designs with the rotating spray selector are, by contrast, rubbis, even if you buy the metal ones. I have bought several and none has lasted more than 2 years before they leak from the valve and can’t be fixed. This on the other hand provides a range of spray patters, simply by turning the knurled tip. Granted it won’t do a gentle shower, but so far it has been quite adequate for watering the flower beads as well as potted plants and seedlings. I have great hope it will last well.
