In order to maintain the non-stick surface of your cast iron cookware, follow the steps given below: Making Your First Meal: It is highly recommended to start with frying Bacon as it enhances the factory seasoning layer by adding, even more, oils to the coating although anything else might do the trick. To Boost Seasoning: Meat contains fats that enhance your cast-iron seasoning.
Maintain The Seasoning: Before cooking, rub some olive oil over your cookwareâs surface. After washing, rub some olive oil over your cookwareâs surface and place it on a stove or in an oven, at a low temperature, to allow the oil to seep in.

With cast-iron cookware, you do not need to use large amounts of oil to give those potatoes a golden crispy color or. The lovely black non-stick polish on the surface is an indication of a properly seasoned wok, making it almost non-stick. Cast iron wok allow you to avoid the unsafe chemicals found on non-stick wok which can cause undesirable damage to your vital organs.
Care Instructions
It is very natural for iron to rust without seasoning but there is nothing to worry. Itâs really easy to fix. Simply scrub the rust, rinse, dry, and cover with a little vegetable oil. If the problem persists, you will need to thoroughly remove all the rust and follow re-seasoning instructions given below:
- Wash the cookware with hot, soapy water and a stiff brush. It is perfectly fine to use soap this time because you are recreating the seasoning from the scratch.
- After washing, rinse and dry the cookware completely.
- Apply a thin, even layer of melted solid vegetable fat (or cooking oil of your choice) to the cookware inside and out. Make sure not to use too much oil as it will result in a sticky glaze.
- To grab any oil drips, place aluminum foil on the bottom rack of the oven and set the oven temperature to 350 â 400 degrees F.
- Then put the cookware upside down on the top rack of the oven.
- Bake it for at least an hour. After an hour, turn the oven off and let it cool in the oven.

Muy contento con este wok. En mi caso lo tengo para cocinar dentro de una barbacoa Weber Genesis II y me va de maravilla para hacer infinidad de cosas: salteados, caramelizar cebolla, mejillones y dems bivalvos…
No he tenido ningn problema de oxido, porque lo lavo a mano, lo seco e inmediatamente le paso un papel de cocina untado en aceite de oliva. Con el tiempo va adquiriendo un toque ligeramente pegajoso como las cazuelas antiguas de pueblo.

Was die von Rezensionen mit Bildern von eingerosteten Woks angeht… man darf nicht vergessen: das ist Gueisen. D.h., nicht im Wasser liegen lassen, sondern mglichst schnell abwaschen, sofort abtrocknen und mit dnnen Schicht l einschmieren. Falls durch Zufall irgendwo Rost auftritt – einfach mit Schleifpapier die Roststelle abschleifen, waschen und wie schon erwhnt, mit l einschmieren.

I am using this wok mostly everyday, easy to clean . As long as you know how to handle cast iron utensils this is perfect. Be it for my veggies stir fry , curries , meat dry fry or for deep frying dishes this is so far so good. Surprisingly affordable price.

I am writing this review after using it for one week. The product dimensions are as per the listing and decent size. I use it on an electric hob. Also, I wash it by hand only.
This is my first cast iron cookware. As I had bought the cheapest one, I was worried about rust. I have followed the instructions printed on the instruction leaflet provided in the package. After washing with soap water, I completely dry it by keeping it on the hob for a minute. Then apply a little cooking oil to keep the surface seasoned. It has not got rusted ye
This wok immediately attracted me. A price reflecting my curiosity well. Like any cast iron it needs care in use. No harsh cleaners they remove the baked on oil finish which provides the non stick finish. I’ve redone this once. I really like using this it’s very cool.

This wok is with me just a week. Once I received I washed dried and heated with oil and left in oven fir two or 3 days intermittently turning on the grill. Then took it out washed and started using.. its an excellent wok. Worked perfectly on induction base too. Make vegetables. Made chicken and noodles. Love love it. My intention was to but a lodge one but wasn’t available and bought this.. I have lodge cast iron pans and I have to say this is an equal quality too. If it rusts for some one bcs it’s not used the way its supposed be .. cast iron needs special care ..I recommend this to people who owns cast irons and know how to deal with it..
Der Wok war pre finished was gut war, die Patina lst sich aber in der Benutzung teilweise wieder. Das ist aber nicht schlimm weil sich schnell eine neue bildet. Funktioniert ansonsten gut fr die blichen Wok Zubereitungen.
Nach einem halben Jahr Benutzung hier eine kurze Einschtzung.
Es ist eher ein Kazan als ein Wok. Als solcher funktioniert er einwandfrei. Ideal zum Braten und Schmoren. Fleisch und Sauce werden perfekt.
Allen, die hier Bilder von rostigen und/oder kaputtgeputzten Teilen gepostet haben, kann ich nur die folgenden Tipps geben:
1. Die Gebrauchsanleitung lesen!
2. Die Gebrauchsanweisung verstehen!
3. Nach Gebrauchsanweisung handeln!
Einziger Mangel: Es ist mir nicht gelungen, einen passenden, schweren Deckel gleicher Preisklasse zu finden.
Fonctionne bien depuis une semaine d’achat grce aux tutoriels de mon pre pour l’entretenir.
En tant que Chinoise, je partage avec vous les conseils d’entretien de mon pre.
1. lavez le wok avec du liquide vaisselle pour enlever le revtement.
2. utilisez un peu d’huile (j’utilise de l’huile de tournesol) et un peu de graisse de porc pour enduire l’intrieur et l’extrieur du wok.
Rptez les tapes 1 et 2, 2 3 fois.
Aprs avoir lav le wok une dernire fois, versez-y un demi-bol de sel.
Faites revenir le sel(partout dans l’intrieur) jusqu’ ce qu’il devienne noir ou gris, puis enduisez tout le wok avec la graisse de proc et l’huile et mettez-la au four 240C pour 45 minutes.
Les premiers soins sont termins. En chinois, on dit “kaiguo”, “”.
Aprs chaque utilisation ultrieure, vous devez d’abord chauffer le wok et verser l’huile dessus pour l’activer. Aprs la friture, vous devez l’essuyer avec de l’eau chaude (pas de liquide vaisselle), puis scher l’eau et appliquer l’huile partout dans l’intrieur.

Really pleased with this little wok, bought to use on my induction hob. It’s weighty, and heats evenly. I live alone, so it’s the perfect size for cooking for me and sometimes a guest, but would probably be too small to cook for more than that
As for people posting poor reviews due to rusting, I have to say this is due to them not knowing how to treat cast iron. Rinse it, and be sure to rub a little vegetable oil over it each time and it will last you years and build up a good seasoning over time.

This is a great wok for stir frying. I always use soapy water, dry it immediately with rag or few minutes on the hob then coat it with a very thin layer if oil ti avoid rusting. I season it every few weeks or so to keep it non stick, depends how often I use it.
This is a good product but you do need to look after it correctly once finished cooking it needs cleaning I then pop on the stove to dry it and out a small amount of oil on ot to protect it.
I have no issues with this product, it cooks food very well.

This is a solid pot that should last forever. I love cooking in this and it’s nice enough to serve at the dinner table. Keep it seasoned and it’s easy to clean and should serve you well
Super Teil! Nach dem ich ihn einmal gut eingebrannt habe lsst sich der Wok super einfach reinigen und Rostet auch nicht nach dem Splen. Zeitweise le ihn danach auch etwas ein. Also von mir eine 1a Kaufempfehlung.

It’s cast iron so DO NOT put it in the dishwasher. You have to look after this pan and rinse it out as soon as you have finished. Don’t let it stay wet or it will rust. It’s so easy to hand wash and dry and then to keep it at its best rub a small amount of oil over the pan.

Used it most evenings as mainstay of dinner cooking. Love it. Yes, it takes a little extra care to keep healthy, but it’s so worth it.
We wash with a soft sponge and hot water with washing up liquid. Dry immediately with a tea towel then a quick light rub off oil with a kitchen towel. Takes 2 extra seconds compared to washing a non stick… Worth 100x that for the benefit of no toxins
Bought it with great hesitation but works a treat! Even with my induction hob. If you aren’t used to cast iron cookware, just remember not to use soap to wash it and pat dry completely after every wash, heat it to dry it. I’m one very pleased customer.
Pour 20 balles vous avez l’outil de cuisson parfait pour peu prs tout, du curry indien l’omelette, des patates sautes au risotto.
C’est brut, a peut rouiller, a s’entretient et a peut quasiment remplacer toute pole/wok. L’outil indispensable de la dcroissance en route : Less is more, un wok pour les dominer tous.
Aprs plusieurs utilisations mon wok reste noir et brillant, sans taches ni rouille… j’ai effectu un culottage
pas pas, wok badigeonn d’huile vgtale intrieur et extrieur, premire cuisson dans le four, wok retourn, 180 pendant trois quarts d’heure , deux cuissons d’une heure 230. A chaque opration essuyer et renouveler l’huile. Cela marche les aliments ne collent pas. DM

Siempre he querido comprar un wok y este me pareci una excelente opcin, la calidad es buena, es pesado y la primera impresin se ve muy bien. Debi tener unas instrucciones para su cuidado y mantenimiento, por lo menos para saber la forma adecuada de evitar que forme corrosin o se manche.
El primer da vi un tutorial el Youtube de como curar un wok, as que hice lo mejor que pude con aceite de cocina y dejar que calentara bastante, espere que enfriara, limpie bien con agua y jabn, lo deje con el agua y el jabn un rato y termino con esa mancha en el interior (ver ultima foto). Aun as lo sigo usando para hacer algunas recetas y no ha dejado ningn mal sabor en la comida, por lo que esta funcionando bien.
Si comenc a ver pequeos indicios de oxido en el exterior del wok, pero voy a buscar algunos consejos para evitarlo.
No es mi mejor compra, pero s que este tipo de utensilios requiere mantenimiento, ms por el material.

Se trata de un producto el cual tienes que conocer y saber que compras. Requiere unos cuidados importantes despus de cada uso y se puede decir que inmediatamente justo al finalizarlo. Desprende restos de hierro en polvo o carbonilla, suele ser normal es por el tipo de compuesto y al quemarlo.
I purchased this wok to fit onto my Campingaz BBQ; it fits perfectly at a fraction of the cost of own Brands, clean, oil regularly and do not place into the dishwasher to keep it in good condition, it will give you years of useful service life.

Trs bien . Nous voulions viter les revtements anti adhsif et avions adopt un Wok en inox qui est trs bien mais dont le cot bien suprieur (3 ou 4 fois suprieur au moins) . Nous avions un peu peur d.utiliser de la fonte dont nous connaissions l’intrt mais l’aspect entretien etc nous inquitait. Nous avons tent et franchement, nous sommes conquis. Nous avons respect simplement un passage au four avec de l’huile 1 h 180 l’envers sur une grille comme c’est expliqu partout et ds la premire cuisson : nickel.
Je recommande le produit.
empra debole ma ho imparato a irrobustirla usando spesso grassi, la lavo tranquillamente con acqua e detersivo piatti, l’asciugo subito e metto qualche minuto sul fuoco per togliere umidita’ poi ungo leggermente con olio di oliva. la uso per tutti i cibi , versatile nella sua forma, puoi cucinare poco o tanto, la desideravo da tempo e finalmente mi diverto a utilizzarla.
Trs contente de cet achat. Le fond intrieur est rond comme un vrai wok, je peux facilement faire une omelette chinoise sans qu’elle colle au fond ( faut chauffer bien le wok et laisser cuire un peu l’uf dedans avant de tourner)
Le fond extrieur est plat, donc possible d’utiliser sur l’induction. Je suis food blogger, j’ai normment d’ustensiles la maison. Vraiment, c’est un produit de qualit avec un prix trs adorable (j’ai pay une fortune pour certaines marques de luxe en fonte) . Les gens qui mettent une toile, c’est qu’ils ne savent tout simplement pas utiliser ce genre de produits.

Use it, then clean it with warm water and oil it or grease it lightly before you put it away and it will outlive your grandchildren!

I bought this as I needed a Kadai for myself. Wanted to share this, it can cook food for up to 4 people. If cooking chicken curry one large whole chicken curry can be cooked. It is stable on the gas cooker and does not wobble while we stir, it has small flat base. It is a cast iron kadai hence it needs after care. Wash, dry (keep it on the flame so all water is absorbed) and then oil it inside and most importantly outside and the handles too.

Le da un sabor especial a la comida. Es pesado , lo cual es normal por ser de hierro fundido. Se limpia fcilmente y lo mejor es que no contiene tefln que es perjudicial para la salud. Muy buena relacin calidad precio.
It’s cast iron. It really holds heat. So brussel sprouts, onions, bell peppers etc. cook quicker than in the oven.
The more I use it, the more I love it.
It’s not a conventional wok, it’s a wok shaped cast-iron pan that gives the advantages of a wok, without the need for super-hot burner flames that a wok thrives on.
And once you get a good seal on it (like all cast-iron) it’s very non-stick.
P.S. If you’ve never used cast-iron, read-up on it before buying (but I assure you, it’s worth the effort).
The wok cooks nice and evenly and is simple to care for and clean. Season well before use and you will be rewarded with a long lasting and easy cleaning wok.
Mi serve una padella che sopporti sia basse che alte temperature,sia su gas metano ,su induzione ed eventualmente su barbeque , questo wok lo fa bene. Ovviamente bisogna stare attenti a non scottarsi ,lasciarlo raffreddare e lavarlo a mano ,asciugarlo e ungerlo con olio prima di riporlo. Unica pecca ,non dotato di coperchio.
This is a great wok. Love it and use it every day. you have to be careful to wash the pan and oil the surface after each use. it not there is rust that forms on the surface. I have left it on 2 occasions but then had to scrub the pan off the rust and oil it again. follow the instruction on the leaflet that comes with the wok. apart from that a lovely wok can cook most foods on low heat which is healthy

I feel sorry for the seller with so many people complaining that it goes rusty. It all comes down to knowing how to clean it.

This is very good quality standard cast iron wok. It was purchased 2 months back and has been in good use since then as you can see in the picture. Well, you do have to follow the cast iron regime (wash,dry, heat, lightly oil,wipe off) after every use and of course I seasoned before my first use.
My 1st time seasoning process(very standard and common method):
Time required : Your 20 minutes ,over 4 hours or so.
Clean the wok, dry thoroughly, first with towel, then over a hob so that its COMPLETELY dry, add oil, (I used my regular veg(rapeseed) oil) then use a paper towel/rag(I recommend a rag) to rub the thinnest possible coating over both sides of the wok, about 1/2 tsp oil per side is good enough,wipe any excess, then bake the wok upside down in a hot preheated oven (180 C) for a couple of hours. Remove, re-coat with oil, wipe and bake in a hotter oven for another hour (230 C). Repeat the last step at least 1 more time or more for great seasoning.
It behaves like non stick now, retains heat and cooks on lowest flame once heated up. I love that it has a concave interior, excellent for curries or fry up stuff. I use wooden spatula and and wash with warm soapy water.
Yes, it will need little extra care like any cast iron item but I am hoping its a buy-it-for-life item. Also slight black residue when wiping is normal and common for cast iron cookware. It’s normal, even Lodge site states it.

I paid 17,it could have be 2-3 pound cheaper, which was the earlier price from utopia kitchen before they reintroduced with slightly higher price but that’s ok.

It is cast iron and you can feel the quality.
I have made a couple of stir fries in it and it has performed really well.
There are very good instructions that are helpful to understand how to use, maintain and clean it best.
The only downside is that there is no lid with the product, which would have been nice.

For the price you can’t really beat this I’ve used it virtually everyday since it arrived. Here’s my honest opinion of it after nearly a month of use,firstly I don’t understand the review which said it’s awful as it went rusty ? Scrub it out and seal it ? As for the seasoning the instructions seemed to suggest olive oil,I’ve always been told not use such oils for cast iron as it’s not high enough flash point,honestly people I purchased a bar of lard for about 45p after reading an American tip for using shortening it works a treat. I heated the wok wiped a small amount of lard and around it dried with fresh kitchen paper and repeated a couple of more times. Later that day I was cooking something in the oven so I wiped a bit more on the wok put it upside down in the oven it has a flat bottom and makes an excellent stand,put my metal tray of oven chips on top and when they were done just left the wok in the oven with the door shut. When cooled this is all the seasoning it needed now after use it gets a hot water scrub then dried and a quick heat up on the hob and a wipe with rapeseed oil or a bit more lard and it’s good to go. I like how sturdy and stable it is on the hob it’s a good size and is the best wok I’ve ever owned. Thanks for reading.

Just used this for tonight’s dinner being home made fried rice and I was surprised the handles were never to hot to handle which made the cooking process enjoyable.

I think this is a relatively shallow Wok, but it works just fine.
The Cast Iron creates a very good heat distribution and keeps the temperature well.
This is a great wok , made a perfect stir fry . Was great on my induction hob . But then things went wrong and I put it in the dishwasher without reading the instructions . It is now a lovely looking planter .

Anyone who is used to good quality cast iron cookware would know that these mellow with age and use (called tempering) such that they become non stick and hard wearing. As it is clearly made of cast iron, it will naturally tend to rust as is the physical property of Iron unless care is taken to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. The instructions given are in fact very good and clearly explain what is needed to keep the unit in good condition and stop it rusting, essentially not too much detergent when cleaning and apply a coating of oil when storing the unit. All in all a great cast iron cookware unit at a very reasonable price.
Beats all those non stick pans hands down. Good weight and good instructions on how to care for it. Should last a lifetime. I’ve put a string on the handles having read they get hot but had no problems with them.
I love love love this cast iron wok… very good quality. Highly recommended. I’m looking for bigger one too if you have it please inform me.
For those who say it rusts after washing.
What do you expect, it’s cast iron.
You need to dry it thoroughly after washing and then coating with a very thin coat of oil, the instructions are in the listing.
Treat it right and it’ll last you a lifetime.
And NEVER try to wash it in a dish washer, the salt will destroy it.
I cook everyday in this kadai and absolutely loving it. It is not too heavy compared to other cast iron frying pans I use which makes it easy to clean.

This is a great Wok, the only downside is that the handles obviously get hot as well. If the had made it with a wooden handle it would have been perfect and have 5 stars.
Very nice wok, does exactly what it says it will. The only problem is it is not dishwasher safe. This is less of an issue because it is easy to clean.
I was surprised when it got delivered and saw it for real. It is an iron metal, heavy, and it is all on how they describes it in the description. I love using it for stir fry and steak. Now, I use it almost everyday for cooking.
It is a good size pan for frying making curries fantastic all round.
Really pleased with this, solid piece of kit which worked great on my BBQ.
