A solid camera for the body, clips onto my work shirt using a universal attachment or the one included.
32GB storage thats included works fine and is reliable.
Can get around 6hrs of use from this at work. Hopefully the battery lasts a long time, this is great.
This is a very compact little device. Surprisingly sturdy it’s a mostly metal so although it makes it a little heavier ( 74 grams on my digital kitchen scales) . It has a really robust and solid feel to it.
I really liked the fact that it came with a 32 gb microSd card also.
After a recording test I plugged the whole device into my iMacs Usb port and it straight away recognised it as an SD device and I was able to explore it without issue and use the text editor to set the correct date and I could explore the recorded video and audio folders.
Battery wise extremely good. I recorded 52 minutes continuously on a bike ride as a test .
I recharged it and it took just 35 minutes charging via the USB on my iMac to be back to fully charged again. So the battery power and retention is very good.
It recorded the footage in five 10 minute segments each being around 1.4gb ( a Fat32 restriction I think).
For around an hour of recording it used 6gb of the 32 gb available. So should record for around 5 hrs on 1080p setting on one charge before the card fills up which is not at all shabby.
I could adjust the record quality in text editor ( as I did with the correct time) to get even longer but I think the picture quality would really suffer.
Picture wise not too bad, I wouldn’t describe its as full Hd more like 720p.
As I expected quite grainy in low light situations ( as are most cameras) but a decent enough quality in daylight, especially on sunny days. Certainly more than good enough for face recognition etc if required.
It actually records as an .avi file which is a fairly old format so it wasn’t compatible to view on my iMac via QuickTime, Movie or Final Cut editing software. I had to use MKplayer freeware to view it.
Obviously when walking or biking it’s a bit shaky as there is no stabilisation and I wouldn’t expect that at the price point anyway.
Sound quality it was much better than I was expecting not tinny but a fairly full clear sound ,not at all muffled.
I like the fact that I can just record audio.
It records in 30 minute segments in .wav format. It used 115.8 mbytes per 30 minutes ( 231.6 mbytes per hour).
It took 45 minutes to charge back up to full on that occasion.
So in theory on the 32 gb card supplied I should get a continuous 138 hours or nearly 6 days 24/7 on one card (providing I used a battery bank to keep it going). So a huge amount of storage is available for audio only.
I can select the different recordings by the file date. So that’s useful.
I also tried it with motion detection by altering the coding to 1 instead of 0 in text editor. That seemed to work ok as I will want to set it up as a temporary security camera on occasions.
Pictures were stable and clear. So thumbs up there.
I also like the fact I can swivel the camera so I can lay it on a shelf flat while recording so it’s not so obvious.
All in all this is much better than a previous mini camera I had and for half the price at the current price ( 34. 99p at the time of the review).
I think this is a decent little versatile camera with a reasonable picture quality, but as mentioned more like 720p rather HD 1080p .
Well sized and goid design, but let down by the quality of the video. For a wearable recorder its ok if you just want a record if your interactions, but fir anything that the image matters on you may be disappointed
My husband works in the security industry and for a location with some young and vulnerable individual. Both him and his colleagues were looking for a good value option to aid safety and accountability of staff and general people alike.
This little camera has revealed already to be very useful. The kit comes complete of all needed: cable, micro sd card, device, instructions and even 2 USB adapters. The footage even on max resolution is a bit grainy and surely shaky when walking about but still surely helpful and effective to record conversations and identify people even in quite low light conditions.
There is no infrared system but the little camera light is really strong for the size but honestly a bit annoying for people facing the camera and therefore he always keeps it switched off.
Battery is good but the clipping system is honestly not ideal since it surely benefit from an outside pocket to rest in it but most winter jackets do not have it. The rotation of the camera is also a bit limited and some of the footage aims a bit too high especially when the camera is attached onto a jumper/shirt neck line.
Overall for the price and usefulness I still give it 4 stars
Nice little thing, the video quality is not the best but is good enough and audio is good aswell, a 32gb sd card come with it. Overall I’m happy with it.
In the world we live in I’ve now taken to wearing a camera when having to do my job in people’s homes. It gives me reassurance should anyone decide that you said something you most definitely didn’t!
This camera is ok – it’s not fantastic quality (image) but it is acceptable. It is easy to use and gives decent audio – which is my main concern.
If you’re in a trade and looking to cover one’s rear from unscrupulous customers then this will do a job for you although I dare say there are many other applications
As usual, the package arrived very quickly from Amazon.
This SRIKEKL Mini Body Mounted Camera arrived in a nice sturdy presentation box, also inside the box is a USB-A to Micro USB Adapter, 1 USB-A to USB-C Adapter, 1 32GB Micro SD Card, 1 USB-A to Micro USB cable and a User Manual.
When I opened the box and took it out, the first thing I noticed was the weight, it’s made of zinc alloy and it weighs 75.34grms, and it feels nice and heavy for its size and seems very well made.
I ordered this body camera as I’ve never had a camera like this before, and I was curious so ordered it.
It didn’t take me long to get the hang of using it, all the switches are labelled very well, and a quick read of the user manual and I was reading to start recording.
I like that you can record video, or just audio, plus it takes pictures (but only while recording), so it is quite versatile, also, I like that a 32GB micro sd card was supplied with the camera, so once you insert the card you are ready to go.
I found the audio a little lacking, but I found the picture quality acceptable, a bit grainy if the light is not good, but outside in the open the picture is much better.
I think one of the uses for this is as a security camera, if for any reason you need one, it is easy to hide, it is magnetic so can attach to certain metals, and it also has motion detection, so won’t start recording unless an object or person it in range.
Once I had recorded a video, I plugged the camera into my computer, when the video started playing, I realised the date and time were incorrect, so I followed the instructions to change them, the first 3 attempts didn’t work, but the fourth did, but for some reason, if I change the time to 19:00, on the video it reads 20:00, I tried changing it several times but it always reads 1 hour ahead, but it is just a minor niggle, maybe when the clocks go forward it will correct it self.
I connected it to my phone using the USB cable to see if I could view the videos on it, and I could using one of the apps I have on my phone, I also have a small card reader, so I removed the SD card from the camera, put it in the card reader and plugged it into my phone, that worked the same as using the cable.
I could go through everything that’s in the listing description but I’m sure you have already read it before reading my review, so I won’t repeat it, you can see the unboxing in my video, this is just my personal experience with it.
At the time of writing this review the price is 34.99.
The squares on the table I use when photographing and videoing items are 1cm squares, you can use them to help you judge the size of items I photograph.
I hope you have found this review and video helpful.
Mini Body Mounted Camera from SRIKEKL
The only reason I’d think about buying this mini body camera is it is too heavy that it does not feel secure when you clip it. So if your purpose is to use it as a body cam for surveillance, I suggest getting something lighter and inconspicuous, like a pen.
Moreover, this product is easy to use as it comes with accessories to operate it, like an sd card. It requires no WiFi, and it is really basic. The sd card gets automatically detected once connected to my laptop. The audio and video may not be of top-of-the-line quality but is decent enough to capture a conversation and images. The camera can be rotated 90degrees.
The manufacturer of this item is quite open about the fact that the picture quality isn’t great. That’s true, but it’s not terrible either, it’s just acceptable.
The camera is tiny – much smaller than I expected – and very lightweight, you won’t know how wearing it. It’s very easy to set up and use, too. I had it working within a few minutes.
Of course, it doesn’t have to be used as a body camera, you could put it somewhere unobtrusive in your house as a security camera, or at least as a back up. It’s small enough that it can be hidden fairly easily.
I think for the price (35 at the time of writing), this is a very good purchase. It offers a degree of security or just some nice pictures of wherever you’ve walked. There are better cameras available, but they’re considerably more expensive.
First impressions are really good very nice packaging box with the unit very well supported
Really like all the components to come with this clip-on HD camera adaptors for downloading to computer you get me depth of charging you get a small micro card for storage brilliant
Instruction leaflet is ok but it’s a bit old school graphics are quite good but it doesn’t give you clear indications of how you wear the camera and basic things like that so I had to refer to the order page which is disappointing for me
It’s a good read it’s quite easy camera to use just needs a bit of practise and I love thee the images you get I’ve been walking around with it to the shops it’s nice to see where I’ve been funny in
Price point is a bit high at 35 but you get a lot in the kit so overall I’m quite pleased it’s so easy to wear where I can click on the belt I was coat and even used it on my golf trolley
This is a very impressive little camera. Often cameras in this budget aren’t too good but this one really does shoot good quality video. I chose this as I am going to a reunion in December, I’ve already asked the organiser and he is letting folk know. I had planned to use a little square camera but this one is much better. The design is good, it is shaped to fit in a pocket with ease, the clamp keeps it in place and stops it dropping fully into the pocket. It is really easy to operate, I like that the time and watermark settings are adjusted by way of a text file rather than add extra buttons to the camera, the fact that it has only the necessary controls for use means there is much less chance of missing the occasion you want to record. You can also use as a voice recorder too. I wanted to test before the big night, so I have been trying it indoors and outdoors, I found it performs well in both. You can turn on the illumination in low light to assist. It even has motion sensing which works well. It is very versatile and can be used in social settings, meetings, lectures etc, it is also great for popping in your pocket when going for a walk to capture scenery. It has a magnetic back so you could pop it on a fridge or even a van to capture folk walking past by using the motion sensor. Batter life is really good too.
