Wanted a reliable Dash Cam and spoke to my auto electrician for advice and he recommended Nextbase for quality and reliability so as I had previously checked online various camera’s and had already thought Nextbase gear looked good I went with his recommendatio
I have had several dashcams over many years, this is certainly the best quality picture
I bought this after my 322GW died after 150000 miles, exonerating me from 2 not at fault accidents. It made sense to replace with the same or better, fitting the same mount.

All arrived ahead of time and with good instructions and the best bity being the option for suction or stick on windscreen location. This allows me to remove from one car and use in another by the 12v socket. The main car being hard wired. I am really impressed with the value for money as it appears well made and solid.

Does exactly what I expected it to do and provides clean, crisp footage of each journey.
My only concern was the wiring in of the camera which is not anywhere as easy as the manual suggests

Simply awesome little camera. Awesome videos and accurate. Looks good…super easy to install.
Work well, back camera should not be magnetically hold. It keeps moving it position. Also back camera does not support HD.

for how much it cost is rubbish. loads of different errors, it freeze without any logic explanation, can’t see a video from the phone app, have live view thats a plus.
can worth 100-120 all together with wiring, but 200+ way to much. not much a difference from so called China ones.

Appears to work well, although I haven’t got the Alexa feature to work. I’m sure it can be done when I can be bothered. I purchased the hard-wire kit after a couple of weeks. That made a nice tidy finish and wasn’t too difficult to fit.

I’ve had other brands of dashcam but my two recent upgrades have been Nextbase dashcams and so far Nextbase is my favourite brand. I prefer to hardwire in the dashcams so installation is a little slower than just plugging into the cigarette socket. Dashcam footage is acceptable given the size of the image sensor. Don’t expect ultra clear and sharp images at speed or in poor light. Overall dashcams are useful to have in the event of an accident or a claim.

Got the 422GW set up with a rear camera too. Work great! Glad I bought them.
If I had to pick fault with it; it triggers a video save if passengers close the door too hard, and to download videos from it via Bluetooth takes ages. But these are small issues and I get around it by putting the card into my laptop if I want to download any footage, and formatting the card before putting it back in the camera to delete the few videos of doors closing.
Not disappointed. And would recommend this camera to a friend.

The magnetic attachment is so strong that I find it difficult to remove the camera from the mounting.
UV filter, which I had to buy, cuts out a lot of glare which improves an already good picture quality.
Great camera, just annoyed that 2 days after buying it was 15% off on the manufacturer’s website… But thats not the sellers issue and I was happy at the time with the price paid.. Will use seller agai
I brought this for my wife’s Vitara and nextbase have such a good reputation there wasn’t any make I would consider.plus it is compatible with Alexi and has Bluetooth and was very reasonable priced.
We love this camera. It’s the first we have tried we looked at which to research dash cams and this was given a which Best Buy.
We are so happy with this camera and would recommend it.
Initially a problem with it not charging using the car adapter, but eventually sorted by ensuring plug was firmly into the camera port!

Price is good, picture quality is good, the app that you can use with the camera is sometimes hit or miss, maybe down to Bluetooth connection. I have had a couple of cheap cameras in the past which all fail eventually. Decided on this one because of the name and also because it was easy to dismount when parking or leaving in the hot sun (which was the cause of the last camera to fail).
Easy to mount with the suction cup or the adhesive pad, depends on t=your requrements.
The app needs work though, it works but is not presented well, far too fussy and should have a menu rather then cramming everything on one screen.

It works well, runs off accessory socket. Plug in and forget it’s there.

Managed to site on screen so that the rear view camera sits between the sun visor and mirror and sees between the seat headreasts, whilst the main camera is behind the visor when down.

It turns itself on when you start the car and off when the car turns off, the only negative is the micro sd card has to be a high quality and high speed transfer speed,read and write, or the camera just displays a message to change the sd card for a specific performance card
I already own a Nextbase 522GW with its Rear Camera attachment, and it did me wonders on my car. I can say exactly the same thing with the 422GW.
Although the camera is small, don’t be deceived from what it can do. It records really well, and the image captured is very clear.
With the added feature of the Nextbase Player App, I can manage the webcam’s settings with ease. Viewing the videos do get a little fiddly, as it reconnects to WiFi, rather than the more conventional, though slower, Bluetooth connection.
All in all, it’s a huge recommendation to get this Dashcam.
Very easy to install. Just plug and go. Picture quality excellent…Only down side is the 64mb sd card only lasts 4 hours when using both front and back cameras together. So on a long journey it starts to over write start of journey.

Early days yet, bought for my son for Christmas, has all the features and quality on paper, time will tell whether it lives up to its brand name. Delivery time was next day, packaging was good. Installing it tomorrow might get the 522 and rear cam for myself if i like it.

Brought this camera to repalce the nextbase 312. I have to say I’m not disappointed at all. Quality of the video and audio is excellent. The setup was simple if you’re a bit of a DIY person and able to tuck the wires out the way. I opted for the additional rear view camera as I liked the way it syncs to the front camera. Again the quality of the video on this is almost as good as the front camera. The app is easy to set up and download footage.
Good picture quality but I had some trouble connecting to the phone app to start with. I reset and reinstalled everything and now it works fine. Not too sure about the Alexa function yet, I need to spend a bit of time faffing with it, it seems a bit hit and miss at the moment. Check out some youtube videos on how to set it up.

Small and compact size doesn’t get in the way when driving.
Having a dash cam is essential in todays driving scene. Careless driving is causing more accidents and having reliable evidence when claiming compensation is now necessary. It is unobtrusive and takes up very little room on the windscreen. The video screen is a decent size and there is a snapshot of the rearview camera on the screen, or you can just have the rear view camera if you require.
The only issue I have with this camera is that it tells me the battery is about to run even after I have done a long run. I am not sure whether this is the Nextbase camera or an installation fault, but I will endeavour to find out.
Not a bad set up overall.
Shame it doesn’t come with a usb plug instead of cigarette lighter socket on the long lead . Initially it kept turning off and on but I think this was due to me buying a non manufacturer’s longer lead with USB connector to power the camera.
Alexa very rarely connects to phone so save yourself a fiver and get the next model down.
The hardwire kit was easy to install and looks tidy and the suction mount also works a treat.
Haven’t actually viewed any footage on p.c. yet so can comment on video quality .
All in all looks tidy when installed properly and it just sits there on its own doing its business out of site.

Great but of kit. Nothing else required to do an easy installation. Great quality product. Transfer to iPad or phone very easy. Only issue I had was setting up the SOS facility. Otherwise well deserved 5 stars

Rock steady despite my Jeep Wrangler bouncing around the “paved” roads in Boise! With the Player, you see a multipane window showing the video, speed, direction and a Google Map with the route overlayed. Nice I thought.
So far seems ok for the real purpose, recording the idiots around me as I drive. As to Alexa, don’t buy it to put it in your car; do the Echo Auto instead. Maybe if Amazon/Nextbase get together and release a Nextbase Dash Cam skill Alexa might work better but right now its just ‘vaporware”.

Hopefully I’ll never have cause to use it in anger, but it seems good so far. Check the memory card requirements as it’s quite selective. It also only appears to pair with a single phone at a time which is a little annoying but liveable.
