I had ordered and installed this PTZ camera on my great experience of having purchased one the last year as well. This is for my front garage and main door view monitoring. Indeed, both the camera set up and functioning are super easy. Added to this are the superb innovative and high quality features such as clear night vision, motion sensor, double-alarm, memory on cloud, two way audio exchange and multi-user sharing help control, operate and monitor the camera for greater security alert round the clock. The battery is also powerful and last very long with just one charge. On the top of everything else, it is wireless which saves enormous time and is easy to set up on the wall under just 15 mins. The pan and tilt function is seamless. Overall, I am glad that I can now monitor my garage door, use the tilt and motion function to check the front door and my garden passage door ! Great unit !
Good quality HD videos, night vision and battery last long
This is the fourth COOAU camera I’ve bought. The main reason is that the others have all worked exactly as I wanted; and I’ve had no issues with them, so there was no reason to look elsewhere. A key advantage of brand loyalty is that they can then all run on the same COOAU camera app. This camera has high-end features and looks super-smart — a great deterrent to any would-be burglar.
The camera arrived quickly and was packaged very neatly. Setup instructions are clear and fixings are included in the box. We decided the best location to site the camera, so then it was down to configuration.
I have installed a number of smart devices on my WiFi recently, most of which used 2.4 ghz rather than the 5 ghz standard. All the others required me to disable the 5 ghz on my router for installation, although I could re-enable it once things were working. The COOAU camera worked first time without this fiddling; and as I had already installed the COOAU software, the installation was completed literally in a couple of minutes.
There are a lot of software settings to play with, simply by selecting the camera in the COOAU software, then setting the options as required. We are wall-mounting ours, so we tested the camera (hand-held) and software options before final installation. We were very impressed by the daylight picture quality and the range of the pan / tilt / zoom. We tested the night vision, too, which was great. I’ve included a video of this to demonstrate. (We downgraded the picture quality to reduce the file size).
All in all we’re very happy with our purchase.
I purchased this product as an upgrade but to also add to my COOAU home security cameras. It arrived the next day and set up was so easy with fantastic instructions and an app which has you connected in 3 easy steps!
The quality of this camera is great, it is very durable with the wall or roof mount, it is a sleeker and looks amazing.
This camera has many fantastic features including 2k resolution, night vision, lights, microphone and also a new siren alarm which can be played remotely from the app when needed.
I have been using this camera to monitor the front of my home as there has been reported damage to vehicles in our area and this provides the extra deterrence as well as safety when it comes to protecting your items.
I really like this camera. I have bought other battery operated cameras from the same brand because the cameras are reliable and are well made and the battery life is second to none. This camera like the other Cooau cameras is so easy to set up. It is a breeze and pretty self explanatory once the cloud edge app is installed it is one of the easiest to set up I would say and very intuitive.
The quality of the materials the camera is made out of are solid and the product itself is well made. Also the image quality is very clear and the sound is pretty good too. There is this very useful LED spot light that comes on in the dark when motion is detected. The light is bright and directional according to where motion is detected. The battery lasts a very long time.
The camera can be left without worrying about having to charge it up all that often. The design itself is elegant and simple. The SD slot is placed in a good position and it is very easy to slip an sd card in and out and there is a covering to protect the card itself. The fixtures as good and make it flexible to fix the camera up anywhere. The camera can move in different directions which is another excellent feature.
Also I have found the support from Cooau is very good. They reply quickly and make every effort to sort everything out so one is in good hands and I have no hesitation in recommending this camera.

I have bought a few number of cameras for my home & this has by far got the best quality in terms of clarity. The 360 degree motion is also very helpful to keep all areas around it secure & to be able to see everything that is going on. The camera also comes with motion detection where i have the choice to be alerted at my own set times of the day where i possibly wouldn’t be expecting anyone to pass by the camera. This helps further as it allows me to quickly be able to respond in case of burglars. Lastly, the camera also has night vision which is to a high standard & shows all surroundings very clearly.
I would definitely recommend this to other people looking to buy a high quality camera for security & surveillance.
This Camera is bigger and better, it rotates and has improved picture quality, i also noticed that the motion detection is more accurate and sensitive ,it picks moving objects earlier than the old camera did.
The images are clear day and night ,it gives you the choice of only triggering al alert on your phone or switching on an LED light(Very bright, had halos around my eyes after accidentally looking at them) or light and Siren which is very loudly old camera only triggers phone alerts so this a marked improvement as a deterant to intruders at night.
I think I would always now go for one that can tilt ,motorised as it gives you the option of checking all the surroundings and the is minimal lag if any between the command and response(also depends on your network speed).
I have one criticism of the design of the base to which it attaches, it is a click on so you have to press it hard to clip on and pull hard to pull off( you will have to do this every 2-3 months to charge it, my old camera lasted just under 3 months)now if you are doing this on a ladder or from a side window it is awkward and you may just drop it while pulling if it slips ,i would suggest a click mechanism that operates by pressing a plastic leaver that releases the camera from the lock then it clips on again and that will make it so much more user friendly ,other than that this is a superb qualit camera from a company that I have tried from before .

I was pleasantly surprised and I would recommend this Item.

The camera is smaller than expected and while plastic feels well made. The image quality is great, much better than my previous one.
In the box, you get a USB cable, screws and wall plugs, a sticky guide for drilling holes, a bracket and the camera plus the instructions. Setup is about as simple as it gets. Make sure your phone is connected to your 2.4GHz wifi, download the app and follow the instructions. Setup takes about a minute, and you are ready.
I have a 16GB SD card in my camera but there is also cloud connectivity to store photos and video if you want that extra security. One of the great features is that you can set up an alarm area. What this does is places a grid on the area the camera is looking at and you then mark off what part of the area you want to have monitored for monition. My previous camera just had motion detection on everything in view so people walking past could trigger it off so took some playing about with settings. Now I can exclude the footpath.
PZT is a great feature as I can look directly down at the door if needed or can tilt up if I want to see more. Something I missed when reading the spec and other reviews is that at night 2 lights come on when motion is detected to illuminate the area so if anyone thinks it’s a dummy camera are going to be mistaken.
Night time quality is pretty good too and an improvement over the last camera.
The charging port on the camera is at the back and has a cut out in the centre of the rubber cover to allow just the end of a USB cable to be plugged in while keeping it watertight. I am planning on getting a solar wall mounted charger so I don’t have to get the ladders out every once in a while to charge.
Overall the quality is good, setup and installation was easy. Picture quality is excellent.
This is a perfect camera. Bought this with a few to protection. The camera is of excellent build quality, quite heavy weight and very sturdy. What is amazing about the camera is the capabilities. It can rotate 360 Degrees, Infrared night vision and you can control this from the app itself. The PZR is a great perk. It is has excellent motion sensors. The app used to download images videos is excellent and very user friendly. This camera does not record 24/7 it records only when the motion sensors are triggered. Ideal to catch any suspicious activity rather than having to trawl through hours and hours of footage. You basically set the position of where you want protection and each time someone moves it catches a video takes screenshots and notifies you. I would highly recommend this product to anyone in market for a sturdy CCTV. The solar panel is working perfectly and keeps the camera charged. Very eco friendly rather and environmentally friendly. IP65 Rating meaning rain or bad weather will not damage CCTV.
I have always wanted to get a wireless camera that was easy to operate and install, this camera was well packaged and easy to read step by step instructions, I have a wired one that is not that good picture quality not good but this one was so easy to install picture quality first class and I can turn it 360% from my phone which is great for me to can keep an eye on my car at night while its parked up at night and during the day I can see who comes in the gate or at the door and speak to them without having to get up to answer the door if I don’t have to. The speaker is very clear you can hear everything. I also the motion sensor especially at night it beams a very bright light if someone or something comes within a certain location. I am so happy with my purchase and have peace of mind that my property is protected when we need it to be, I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a wireless camera
Set up of the camera was very simple and straightforward. Unlike other cameras, there wasn’t even a requirement to connect the camera directly to the wi-fi router itself with an ethernet cable, which was a bonus.
To get started you need to download the Cooau Cam App on Android or ISO which took a few seconds. Once installed it was just a matter of following the on-screen instructions, which were simple and clear. I chose the option of connecting the camera to wi-fi by showing the camera lens itself a QR code that was generated on my smartphone within the Cooau app, i simple lifted my phone to the camera lens and after a couple of seconds the camera read the QR code and played a tune to acknowledge it had registered. It was all complete within a minute or two.
Once connected to the app and wi-fi all that is left is installing the camera to your wall or ceiling. Supplied in the box is a packet of screws and wall plugs and a drill screw guide (see attached images) to make installation a breeze. Don’t forget at this point to also install your micro SD card if required (maximum 128GB) before securing to a wall. It is best to ensure your sd card is a high quality, class 10, for maximum performance.
Once thing to note in terms of installation, a USB cable is only supplied inside the box and no wall plug. The USB cable is quite short, but can be easily extended using your own USB cable. A simple USB wall plug is required to complete power to the security camera, should you wish to have a constant direct power supply.
Once installed, the app itself is responsive and displays a clear HD image from the camera (see attached images). I love the fact this camera has ‘PTZ’ functionality – enabling you to rotate the camera left and right, up and down from the app itself.
One key feature about this security camera in particular is it has a built in battery, allowing you to monitor your property without a constant power cable. According to the manufacturer, upon a full charge, the battery can last 4 to 6 months, depending on usage and the amount of security alerts, although I am yet to confirm this. The app will alert you when the power has reduced to 20% automatically. This option is fantastic for those who do not have access to a constant power supply nearby and who can simply charge the device once and then leave it for a few months. The camera will still need to be connected to a wi-fi signal, regardless whether a constant power supply is provided or not.
Overall I am very happy with this camera and love the fact it includes two key features, PTZ functionality and an included battery for easier installation.

Arrived on time and well packaged, very easy to set up and put in place, app easy to download and connect to camera was all working within about 30 mins of arrival. Living close to a main road this little camera has given us a piece of mind that when we are away from the house we can see who is coming and going and also through the speaker and mic we can ask what they are doing. Great piece of security kit, will be buying another to go on the other end of the house.
Easy to install and set up – less than 30 minutes from out of the box to being fitted and connected. The instructions provided are clear andeasy to follow as is setting up the wireless connection, just ensure the camera is near to your Wi-Fi Router when you do this. Great picture quality, both day and night and a big improvement on a previous COOAU wireless camera which this model has just replaced,. In particular the nightime colour (aided by the built in spotlights which can be set to come om automatically) is really clear.
The camera position is easy to control remotely using the app, allowing you to rotate the camera position and angle and the App itself is fairly intuitive and has lots of easily adjustable settings including the sensitivity of the motion detection to avoid lots of false alarms – worth experimenting with this until you are satisfied. SD card is easily fitted to store video/photo (there is a Cloud storage option that is free to try for 7 days) and you can adjust the duration the camera records after being activated. To avoid the need to re-charge the batteries mine is connected to the Solar Panel from my old wi-fi camera but note this isn’t included but there are various power saving settings within the App to prolong battery life.
The device can also be shared with a partner via the App either as view only or with full control so they can also recieve alerts, view video/photo footage and check the camera and there is a Voice Intercom on the Camera controlled via the App which allows you to speak to someone at the door (or warn somebody off) and an alarm/siren that can also be set to go off automatically if required.
Been using for about 3 weeks now and no problems or issues – Would definately recommend over some pricier wireless outdoor cameras.
I opened the box up and found the camera inside along with a charging cable, mounting bracket with screws and a manual. I read the manual all the way through before starting.
Firstly, I installed the SD card. I fixed the bracket to the Garden wall which is where I want it to go. I then downloaded the COOAU App onto my phone using the supplied scan code, which installed with no problems, you just have to follow the onscreen instructions. I then turned the camera on.
The setup instructions are very easy to follow, and I was able to get as far as scanning the QR code the the phone offered up very easily, but after that It would not actually connect to the camera. I tried for quite a few times, before looking at the instructions again and reading that the camera + router + phone need to stay close together until after they have made the first connection. I was trying to connect from all the way out in the garden lol. Once I realised this, they connected instantly, and I was then able to move the camera out into the garden location where I needed it to go.
It has been working brilliantly so far for over a week now, and I can log into my phone at any time to see what going on in the Garden, even when I am not at home. The camera records any human movement it picks up onto the SD card, so you can scroll back to see older videos. The battery level has not moved yet, so it looks like the battery will last 4 to 6 months as they say it will. The picture quality is great even if turned down to SD quality, and the SD card has hardly been touched yet.
All in all, I am very please with the camera and would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a new one. 10 out of 10…
I have been using this camera for a few months now, I don’t like to review things until they have proven their worth. It has proved to be reliable and useful. The picture quality is very good, even at night and you don’t need to use the subscription service, you can simply save any videos to you phone or tablet.
I really satisfied with this wireless camera, the most important that you can moving the camera throught the app and in 360 degrees remotly, the 2 k gives a high quality picture, the rechargeable battery lust long. I highly recommend this Wireless camera.

Needed an outdoor security camera for the rear of my house. I had used this brand in the past so decided to choose this model. I wanted one that can be controlled via a mobile app and also has the ability to move 360degrees giving an overview of the whole garden. This camera does just that and you are also able to use an intercom facility to either talk to someone in harden or deter people who should not be there.
Setting up is really easy using the app and you can also add any other cameras you have so you can view the total perimeter of your property.
Fitting outside again is very easy depending on where you want to install. You fit the rear bracket and then slot the camera to it and it slots in place. Once installed you are set to go. You can install an SD card to record any alarms when it goes off.
You can also use this during the night and the images are very good and clear. You set how sensitive you want the alarm to go off and also times you want it to record activity. The enclosed instructions are very easy to read and make setup very straight forward. I decided to make sure it was fully charged before installing but you should have this up and running it less than 30 minutes. You can also fit a small solar panel to keep the battery trickle charged.
Overall very well worth buying and I would definitely recommend.

We bought this 2K HD security camera and have to say we are really impressed with it. The installation process was quick and easy.
The camera is stunning so much better in high definition and a great viewing angle. The night and day vision is very clear.
It connected to our wi fi very easily. The signal has stayed strong and reliable.
I like that you can turn the camera around on the app to look around at different angles.
It has a siren that will go off and lights flash if the alarm is triggered. You can have the alarm set for a certain time so it’s not going off every time your out the back.

Poor quality picture, certainly not HD. Needs a very strong Wi-Fi signal. Does NOT zoom despite the description stating it does. There are far better cameras out there.

This is a great wireless camera, I’ve got a few different cameras from this brand and they all work really well so I keep coming back! And feel it’s always worth writing a review on. This latest design is much sleeker and more modern looking with better video quality and features, it also has spot lights which is an upgrade to the previous models. I’m not sure on the battery life as of yet so time will tell, but on my other cameras they normally last a good 3 months or so till I need to charge them, although with a solar panel i have on one it’ll go for a good 6 months or so. The solar panel can be purchased separately for 20 or so, but its definitely worth it I’d say to save on the charges!
The best thing is that these cameras can be positioned any where around your home, office, garden etc with no wiring in, providing you have a decent WiFi range so they’ll be able to stay connected. Once you’ve set the cameras up you can access them from anywhere you like around the world via your smart phone.
The packaging is always very good and boxed well also arrived very quickly which is always nice.
Overall theses are a superb camera which you won’t be disappointed in by purchasing.
This camera is smaller than the existing one that I had, saying that it works excellently. It’s on par with my old Citronics camera. The night vision is the same as my old one, which is quite good for the amount that was paid for it.
The only dislike that I’ve got is the size of the solar panel. In my view it is too small. I know that it is in keeping with the size ratio to the camera, but it being slightly bigger would probably be better.
Motion detector not human specific, quite a few false alarms to start off with, just needs adjusting to suit.

Ok so it arrived Saturday and by Sunday morning it was fitted and working. Easy install on the building and very easy cloud edge installation. Picture quality is excellent, both in daytime and night mode. Make sure you charge up the battery before use. Overall excellent value for money and definitely recommended.
Superb CCTV camera with all the features as described.
It was easy to set up and install with logical instructions and extremely easy installation due to the solar panel charging and WIFI connection.
The only things which would improve it are having an iPad application (larger screen viewing) and recording to independent cloud services (Dropbox, AWS etc.). Otherwise, it’s a great buy!
It has a good solid picture and the captured footage is easy to view on their CloudEdge app. Configuring the camera and the app were a doddle as well. Notifications via the app arrive timely and the camera seens to only notify on human detection which is impressive. It has a nice strong WiFi signal at all times to it so I haven’t had any drops at all. Very impressed with it and I will look to purchase another.
Bought this camera as I didn’t want to run power cables to the location where camera was.
The picture quality is first class and the PTZ gives the ability to cover all areas of my drive.
The unit came supplied with a solar panel however the inbuilt battery lasts for so long I don’t use it and just take it down and charge on e every 3 months.
I used and tested the free 7 day cloud and found it was brilliant, the knowledge of knowing that even if the camera is stolen or damaged you would still have the footage.

The bracket to support the camera is of particular high quality, rigid with a corrosion resistant protective finish which all adds to the overall feel of quality.
The actual camera set up and pairing is very straightforward, the instruction booklet has QR codes for the CloudEdge app required to control the camera and for phone pairing.
The cloud edge app which has to be downloaded (in my case using i phone) from the App Store has a feature which assists in determining the strength of the Wi-Fi signal and suitability of the proposed location, fortunately my chosen location is close to the Wi-Fi router and the signal strength is fine.
The camera controls are intuitive and the quality of the day time colour image is crisp and defined, the monochrome night time image quality is very impressive, features like the motion detection sensitivity can be set to individual preferences, the pan and tilt is smooth and incremental.
I would rate my DIY skill level as average and I found it an easy install operation, I would recommend spending time reading the instructions and getting familiar with the various parts of the kit before commencing installation.
Overall I would highly recommend this camera, the quality of construction, performance and comparative ease of installation justify the cost of purchase
Positives: solar power keeps the camera constantly charged, daytime picture quality is clear in HD mode.
One thing I would like to have is the ability to adjust the detection zones.
Don’t normally write reviews unless I am extremely impressed with a product. This camera is better than I expected. Battery is nearly always 100% with solar cell. Picture quality good. Motion detection is good with sensitivity control. Personally have not experienced any problems with device so far.
This product is exactly as described, literally plug and play was up and running in minutes, amazing pictiure quality both day and night, have had to buy a booster for the wifi signal due to the walls of the house being very thick stone and the camera has been placed high on the corner of the house, not issue doing this as this has now enable the wifi signal to be used around the house outside. The app is easy to use, instant messaging if anyne approaches too near, still playing with the sensitivity of the motion detector, Overall can not fault the product plus point is having the solar panel so no charging the battery seperatly, been running 2 days and battery still 100% with a lot of live watching….

I would highly recommend this camera, as it simply does what it should, easily and effectively.
Set up my camera yesterday. So easy to install. Once set up was complete installed it on the wall. The ease of use ability is great. Great little camera and all from the comfort of your sofa. Highly recommend this product, but, make sure you set it up as per the instructions. Get the best possible place for signal. The night vision is amazing, the day vision is equally as good. The motion settings are great, especially when you can tone it down to a certain area of coverage.
After having some technical issues with the first camera, it did take a bit of effort to get resolved, but once I had spoken to the right person it was resolved within a matter of minutes. I opted to have a replacement rather than a refund because when the original camera worked it was brilliant. I love the pan function, if I wanted to view the areas which are not directly in front of the camera I simply use the button. I can set the sensitivity level and night viewing is very clear. Really good product.

Set this camera up at the end of a long garden looking over the cars. The wifi signal is great and the app allows you to view, record and communicate with anyone it picks up from anywhere. Double check your wifi is compatible first i had to make so changes to mine.
Easy setup and solar powered, as for weather proofing since its been up we have had some torrential rains and winds and so far not an issue.
Having used the camera for several weeks I can confirm complete satisfaction. Very easy to install with solar panel which was fitted to slate tile with epoxy resin and the camera fitted to the facia below. Most impressed with the ease of swipe moving the camera and stretch zoom with fingers on iphone screen. I’ve now installed a 2nd camera and solar panel in the same way on other side of house. The solar panel solves the old problem of getting a power supply to the camera.
Starting off with how nicely packed the item was nice with the addition of nicely packed camera and solar panel that look like nice quality with an easy bracket that allows for qualified installation. The dc and SD cards areas are well protected by rubber from any outside elements. Make sure to download the “CloudEdge” app not the COOAU app as this camera works with the cloud edge app only as I have already made this mistake. The app overall is very well made with a good UI interface informing you of the battery and WiFi levels with the added benefits of the PTZ CONTROLS and screenshot capabilities. Overall made very nicely with a nice app and easy setup and overall experience
Was a little cliche at first, but once set up it works fine app works well with many options of play back and camera movement via WiFi.
The range is good to the router which is about 25 ft away.
This is my second purchase from Cooau and I am delighted with it. The service received and the quality of the product itself really are first class. For me it started with the opening the box experience – it’s well boxed, as you can see – I have installed it to monitor our front gates which are remote from the house – it’s discreet, invisible where it’s placed and the set up and App based control is easy to install. It’s really useful as I have no remote power so the solar charger is invaluable. Picture quality is super – so now I have both front and back of house very well covers.

Sometime the dog would set off the motion detction but once i adjusted some settings this was no longer an issue

So far so good with this camera. I had it installed with the solar panel above in about half an hour. I did use my own plugs for my type of bricks though.
The build quality is top notch as is the images. After a few adjustments with the app It is detecting great and notifying my phone within about 4 seconds.
Overall I am pleased with it.
Installed this 2 weeks ago,I’m pretty impressed so far,charged the unit out of the box,it took about 9 hours to charge.
It was easy to get up and running,mounted unit,connected the solar panel and installed the 128 Gbit micro SD card.(separate purchase).
My router is about 6 metres away from the camera and getting an average signal strength of about 80%,noticed this can change
depending on weather conditions but no problems to access the live feed,which has about a two second delay.
I still haven’t worked out the 4*zoom but it pans and tilts just fine.
I was 10 miles away when I got my first alert message on my mobile phone,the neighbours cat triggered it but I was able to turn
turn down the sensor from the phone from where I was,so no more premature alerts from cats and the like.
The third picture I’ve posted shows the view from my mobile,which is pretty good.
The night vision and inbuilt microphone are a nice feature as well.
Overall I’ve found this product and build quality to be good and would recommend to anybody looking for
an affordable cctv camera for the price.5 Stars out of 5 so far.
The major issue is the solar panel charger. It stopped working after 1 week. I have now had to hard wire the system. So crawling around in loft space to the eaves of my house was not fun.
UPDATE
Follow up support emails from Amanda regarding the solar panel was excellent. I was offered a replacement or a refund. I’ve changed my review to 3 stars because of Amanda’s customer support.
Easy to install camera with lots of practical functions. Good solid metal bracket provided for fixing. I already had another item on the CloudEdge app so adding this one was very easy. The WiFi signal in my back garden is a bit weak and whilst the camera did work ok I bought a better WiFi repeater to improve the signal strength. Note that this does not have a motion tracking function but it is easy to pan and tilt with the app.
The manual is in Chinese English and presumably Chinese German. Why a company that can produce something as well made and technically advanced as this can’t get someone whose first language is English or German to proof read the instructions is beyond me.
The camera is about 20metres from my router on the garage wall & with a Wifi reading of 50% continuously dropped out, so I installed a BT Wifi extender in the house socket nearest the camera which boosted the signal to 75% and it’s fine. Very wide angle of view which covers the whole of the front of the house & driveway.
Note: The mounting screws have a Phillips recess not the usual Posi-drive which you discover when your up the ladder and have mucked the head of the first one up.
Once installed using the correct screwdriver I can’t fault it for the price.
We were looking for a reasonable price cctv unit and came across this one & took a chance,I am so glad we did the picture quality is great as you can see from photo added,plus it tilts up/down & side to side so you can view from all angles,the added audio is great as well as I can speak to the family while in the garden from in doors.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a camera that’s got all you need at a reasonable price,very easy to set up as well .
Setting this up was easier than expected. Drilling into the bricks was the hard bit. Make sure you charge it on the mains before installation. The solar panel has a good long cable so if, like me, you do not need the full length of it, some cable clips would keep things today. They are three only thing, as well as a SD card, that is not in the box.
The rotation is 355 degrees, among with vertical adjust. The intercom works easily, just like a door ring camera, and the night vision is excellent. Make sure you choose HD vision.
The free Cloud Edge app is powerful but surprisingly clean in its layout. No ads! Remote control of the camera via WiFi from miles away works very well. The motion detection has 10 levels of sensitivity, and even on the highest it still only alerts for humans, without any false alarms for animals or birds. The app is highly configurable.
It has survived rain very easily, but make sure you push out the inner rubber hole for the solar panel connection to the camera. This is not clear in the instructions, and will ensure water proofing. The camera uses very little power so even after days of cloudy weather the impact on the battery level is minimal. Once the sun hits the solar panel recharging is pretty quick.
The only “catch” is that the cloud storage for the camera is an optional but paid extra. That said, it gives peace of mind as a backup to the SD card and at around 25 per year for unlimited storage or is not bad value at all.
As a way of monitoring the house while away, without any necessary extra costs, this is superb value and has given me great peace of mind.

A good security camera that’s easy to set up and install. Not quite so good for wildlife which was my main reason for buying but it will detect larger birds on full sensitivity. Picture is sharp but moving. objects are not sharply defined.
The camera is good at picking up human movemebt and the ability to ‘steer’ the lens is a very good feature. The image quality is good enough to recognise people and will show wildlife within range, giving regular alerts.
The solar panel power source seems to work well (so far), All in all, I am quite content with my purchase
Picture quality is ok comparing to the price you pay. Only problem is sometimes getting a lot of alerts in a short period of time when there is no movement at all. Can’t figure out what’s causing this problem but very annoying
I have this mounted at the front of my house to monitor the cars and front door. This is the best camera I have ever purchased. The pictures are clear, I can talk to whoever is at the door, the night vision and images excellent, it knows the difference between a cat, paper bag and a human so I don’t have dozens of cat videos and, best of all, the solar panel keeps it fully charged. I will be buying another for the back of the house. Highly recommended.
ormal view is great but pictures on my phone a bit blurred when zoomed in to see faces but that could be just my phones specs
Build quality is really nice. The seperate bracket that the camera attaches onto is really smart, saves holding the rather heafty camera in place while drilling holes. mine came with 2 extra thumbscrews for attaching the camera to the bracket ideal if up a ladder and some inevitably get dropped! So far In the week it’s been up we have had torrential rain, hail and driving winds, the camera hasn’t missed a beat.
Really good image quality, much better than expected, especially at night, easily reaches 6-8 meters in total darkness.
Solar panel is working very well, even in the UK April/May weather its keeping the camera fully charged. The solar panel has a long cable and a seperate ball joint adjustable bracket you can use without the solar panel but that defeats the purpose.
The movement on the camera is smooth and quiet, a lot quieter than another more expensive interior camera I have. Also easy to move from the app. You can also use the digital zoom by pinching in and out.
Notifications come through as expected and it catches all sorts of movement in the garden at night and during the day although they do come through when moving the camera with PTZ but that seems the same on my Samsung cam too.
Comes with a week of free cloud storage but I haven’t used that I simply installed a memory card and that allows it to record, and playback locally.
I am glad I chose this one. The build quality is just as good as the fixed model but with added benefit of pan and tilt you can control on the phone and also includes a solar panel so need to take down and recharge.
It comes with a separate mount you fix on the wall which makes it easier to mount the camera. It was very easy to connect to the app as I just needed to add as already had another.
The control of the pan and tilt is really easy and makes the use of the camera much better . Night vision also works very well which is exactly what you need on a security camera. We have cameras installed at work that we cannot control like this.
I would definitely recommend anyone looking to buy a truly wireless outdoor camera to buy this.
Bought to monitor back garden and fish pond. The coverage angle is really good and covers all the garden and back of house.
Overall the motion detection is really good, and the camera will turn to capture any movement, this can be fine tuned through the app.
Night vision is really crisp and detailed and adjusts automatically as daylight fades.
The app takes a bit of getting used to but after playing around with the settings it is fairly straightforward.
A good wifi signal is essential. I can only get a signal strength of around 60%, as the camera is about as far from the router as it could be, but it still functioned adequately with only a few disconnection errors. A wifi booster should sort that out though.
Battery life seems very good, still at 80% after 2 weeks without the solar panel connected, and a 32gb sd card still has 30gb free after many recordings, so plenty of space, and it’s also format able via the app.
Overall, very happy and impressed with this camera
This is a very neat well made Wireless security camera that does the job well. I needed an easy to install, solar powered camera to cover my large garden and back doors. I looked at lots of more expensive cameras but decided that this camera could do the job and I was not disappointed at all. The picture quality and 2 way audio are very good. In addition I can scan the whole garden from the app with 350 degree rotation. Great price too. If you went with this camera you would not be disappointed.
After doing security for over 26 years, the HD quality of the camera is exceptional in my opinion and the ease in which I fitted it myself made the whole experience much better.
If like me, you don’t want to start drilling big holes in the wall for a CCTV camera, then this is most defiantly the one for you.
Fantastic camera, crystal clear images and great motion detection. Was really.easy.to install and even came with 2 spare capped screws for the mount just incase you loose one. The included solar panel was a great addition. We only use this to record at night but acts almost like a ring doorbell during day. The speaker onboard is loud and clear and it integrates with our other cloud edge cameras seemlessly . Motion detection takes a little dialing in but leaves a lot of customisation at your fingertips. Wish they had a black version but the white dose actually provide a very visible deterrent to anyone who wants to try to miss behave in its range. All in all a great buy
It arrived very well packaged & is very solidly built. I fully charged it & set it up before fitting it to the wall. The fitting was very easy & where I put it allows for a clear view of our driveway & back garden.
The day & night vision is superb, especially in HD, & the motion sensing is sensitive but can be adjusted in the settings in the app. An enhancement of the app would be to add preset positions of your choosing, rather than having to move the camera with the joystick in the app, but that’s for the app developer to sort out.
Overall it’s a great camera with great features, I’m totally happy with my purchase!
Been recording all visitors to the door, I can check before answering and long into real-time video from anywhere. 128GB memory is one of the largest in this price range meaning no need to delete every few weeks. All in all a quality feature packed camera that does everything I need it to do. I’m buying another for the back of the house.
So, far I am extremely impressed. I am impressed with the image quality overall – it has a nice wide angle image and zoom on it works well and doesn’t take away from the image quality.
The solar panel has a nice long cable as well which we really needed as the cable sits on the opposite side to where the solar panel is placed. A very good app as well – I receive timely notifications when human motion is detected and I can even set up alert plans so that I am not getting pinged when my kids are playing in the garden. For the price I am very impressed and contemplating getting one for the front of the house.
PTZ IP rated version came out I just had to get one for our workshop at the end of the garden.
Quality packaging always makes a nice change and this PTZ is packed well above average.A quick word on quality. It is well made, better than expected and in some areas very nicely made.
The PTZ is a bit of a luxury as once you have got it pointed where you want, there is little need to move it around. However, in a different location the advantage to be able to change the view is tremendous.
I have several other devices on solar power and typically we are seeing 300 watts/m2 of sunshine for short times in March. We can translate that in to energy available for charging and despite the ppor weather the battery has been kept at 100% every day
Since my other Wi-Fi cam is from COOAU, the software integrates both in one app.
What more do you need to know? It’s good quality, well made, good documentation and well priced.
The packaging is very high quality and when you open the box, the camera looks and feels like a very high end product.
Very simple to install using the mobile app CloudEdge.
I installed in around 30 mins with an additional 128GB Micro SD card for recordings. Would suggest you buy a waterproof card with the ability to handle extreme temperatures.
The motorised PTZ function is near silent and smooth.
Motion detection has a customisable range for sensitivity and works without giving false alarms.
2 way audio Speaker is loud and clear. Best I have heard to date.
The 130 degree wide angle FHD(1080P) picture quality is very clear with the ability to zoom and record on the fly if required.

I wanted a camera for my garden. I was already having Cooau camera and was impressed by its performance. So, I was looking to buy again and found this one with solar panel. I thought only issue I had with my previous camera was to recharge the battery whenever it was low. This one removes that hassle, so thought it’s a great idea to go for this rather than the original. After a week of use, I am pleased with its performance and sharing my review.
Register with the app: my camera came with half charge. I just followed the instruction given in the cloud edge app and in couple of minutes it’s connected. I didn’t face any issues.
Installation on the wall: Instruction says to keep the camera at 2.4 to 3 m from ground level. I don’t have a ladder so installed it just below my first floor window, assuming it’s around 3 meters from ground. That was the hardest part because my drill bit worn out in the middle. Hope in the future models, solar panel comes integrated with the camera. That can avoid drilling couple of extra holes.
Picture quality: It comes with standard and HD modes. Never used SD because HD is what I wanted.
Night vision: never had any issues. It is absolutely fine. Sample picture attached.
Day: day pictures are very clear. No issues recognising the people.

I can see from the app that solar panel is recharging the battery. It shows little lightening icon (next to battery icon) whenever it charges the battery.
I already had other COOAU outdoor cameras so wanted to upgrade as this one has a pan and tilt function.
Setting it up was child’s play and the instructions were clear and concise.
For me, this is a very solid, well made and quality product. The functionality is so much better than Blink and the WIFI connectivity seems to be far more stable too.
I like the rechargeable batteries- easy to plug into a power bank without having to take the unit to pieces/ de-mount it.
The solar panel means I won’t have to even do that!
The pictures are razor sharp as it the video, even at night and the notification system seems first rate.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cost effective way of providing camera coverage of a property or internal or external area.
