Well I was quite taken back with the quality of this product. It arrived in a well constructed box nicely presented. But that’s just the tip of the ice burg. Once you have installed it. The quality doesn’t fault eithers. It works flawlessly with the Amazon Alexa Show and additional through my TV. The battery life is second to non. And the picture quality is excellent has its UHD. WHFI maintains a full signal and it comes complete with 3 mouths of cloud storage. You came even record to an ssd card. You don’t get fause motion detection from tress ect. Unlike my last door camera did. Overall An Excellent Product and great value for your pound…s

Video quality is good, night vision brilliant. Easy to set up. Loads to my phone easily.

However, there was a firmware update after a couple of months. Which led to the videos being very stutters if recording to the memory card or viewing live… although transferring these to a PC plays them fine, so it’s a wifi signal issue, but one causes by the device not the WiFi router.

Motion detection is hyper sensitive, even on lowest setting I get 90+ alerts a day for humans going past my door, which turn out to be cars on the road about 15ft away.

Lastly, the app keeps alerting my phone that it is running (by playing the doorbell signal) but when people ring the bell, my phone receives the notification 30 seconds later by which time amazon drivers have bugger off… and if I’m not in the home, connecting to the doorbell has become much harder. I used to have a perfect connection, but again, since the last firmware update I now struggle for any viewing of activity unless I’m on the same wifi connection as the doo

Way way WAY better than the Ring doorbell, which is only 720p! An absolute bargain price, at nearly half the price of the Ring Doorbell, which I’ve had various replacements of! When my warranty was up and I couldn’t get them replaced anymore, I decided to get this one. I have the Arenti cameras also, so assumed it would be a good shot and I was not disappointed whatsoever! The quality is perfect! The fact it comes with the ringer is brilliant (Ring charge extra for theirs). It’s super easy and quick to install, easy to set up through the app and very clear! Thanks to Arenti, I’ve got full security outside my whole house, for a fraction of the price of a Ring doorbell and CCTV cameras! Second photo in my review shows the quality! (1080p – full HD – amazing!) ignore the blurred part of the photo. That was an edit I made myself and the only edit I made – to hide some junk over there. Other than that part, everything else is 100% what it looks like!

Wow!! WAY better than the Ring Doorbell!

I have had to return 3 other video doorbells before I found Arenti, the features and battery durability is very satisfactory.

Brilliantly made, very robust. The images are crisp, even the night vision. Has motion detector and alerts you to your phone via an app. It has a microphone too so you can talk to the person at the door from anywhere. Easy to charge vis USB. Well worth the money.

I already had an Arenti cctv camera so it made sense to go to them for a video doorbell. It was easy to install and set up and has been doing its stuff happily ever since. For me the security of being able to see who is at the door before answering it is everything as well as being able to tell parcel delivery peeps where to put the parcel if I am not in. Five stars!

Good quality doorbell camera, and easy to use app. Motion detection is in point however, just a little disappointed with the speaker quality though.

The picture quality is outstanding. The night vision is incredible, and the setup was simple. I mean, I’m a woman, so screwing the mount into the wall took some effort on my part, but other than that, it was a breeze to deal with. Because I live in a flat and people like stealing packages and such, I set my motion detection to 5, which is the most sensitive, and I don’t have a peep hole in my door, so I can just watch them on the live stream. So far, I’m really enjoying it. I hope it lasts and is weather resistant; I live in Norfolk, where we never know what the weather may bring.

This video doorbell is great , l9ve the fact that is easy to install and you don’t need a professional just follow steps that have given.
It has pretty clear vision and is easy to spot anything.
This is great for me as I live close to the street and is much safer to have a video that recorded all the time.
Price when.i reviewed was a bit spicy but totally worth as I’m happy so far with the way it works .

This is a good door bell video camera. It comes with the camera itself, a USB A to micro-USB charging cable, a UK Charing plug, a remote bell unit, screws and raw plugs for fitting the bell, double-sided sticky tape as an alternative for fitting the bell, a 32Gb memory card, a screw tool to securely lock the installed bell in place, and a set of brief instructions. You will need to download the Arenti App which works with Android and iOS to download the bell.

Installation was straightforward. The app was quick to download. I’m using the iOS version on my iPad and the Android version on my Samsung Fold3. It is very similar for both operating systems with much the same functionality. I charged the camera bell before installing it. This makes sense as it is, of course, battery powered. It actually took some time and eventually I left it overnight. Linking the bell to the app, and to my WiFi network was very easy indeed. The bell then required a software update that took only two or three minutes. The app is pretty easy to use with fairly standard options including how sensitive the motion sensor should be, how long video should be recorded, whether night-vision should come on automatically and the recording resolution – a choice of HD or UHD (2000k) etc. There’s an optional cloud recording system which is free for the first three months. Of course the 32Gb offers local recording and you can view activity on your phone and record whilst viewing if you wish.

The bell camera works pretty well. The UHD video quality day or night is very good and following a recent software update there’s no stalling when viewing video. The local recording is a bonus if you don’t want to pay a monthly subscription for cloud recording – although if the bell is stolen you lose the recording of the thief potentially! To prevent that there’s a tamper alarm and the security fitting should help to prevent the bell being unscrewed. The remote bell unit is very useful indeed and it’s a big bonus that it comes as part of the kit. The batteries are also supplied but the unit also works whilst powered using the USB cable and plug.

Perhaps a little less positively, battery performance is predicted to be about six months but after two weeks I’m currently showing 80% so that might be a little optimistic. I also experienced some network connection problems despite having a mesh station only around three metres away. That seems to have settled down but the bell only works with 2.4Ghz which limits flexibility a bit. The ring alter choice is rather limited with only a small number of options available, with most of them rather poor. What happened to the option of a ringing bell ringing!

At, at time of review, less that 90, the kit offers good value for money, especially as no subscription is required whilst retaining all functionality apart from cloud backup. That said, some of the Ring camera doorbells are now less expensive – admittedly without a remote ringing unit and with a subscription more or less essential. Ring is the market leader and is well worth considering.

In sum, this unit is a good option. Other choices are available. I’d rate it as a good four-star product.

The doorbell has good looks, and it’s pretty slim for a 2k doorbell or this category.

Image is clear, and directional radar is quick and responsive, although it misses some categories sometimes, including pets.

App is where this product needs to improve, coming from Google nest this is a massive backwards step.

The battery powered doorbell chime is a good idea although changing batteries is going to get tiresome after a while.

Overall for the price this is a cracking doorbell

I am completely non-techy and this is my first ever device of this nature so hopefully, my experience will be some help to fellow novices.
This is a video doorbell, but as you can set it up as a motion detector and ‘check-in’ on the camera any time (and from anywhere) it can also be a useful security camera too.
The first thing I noticed is that this comes with absolutely everything you need to get set up – except a mobile phone, that you need to provide for yourself. As well as the device itself and all the fixtures and fittings you need to attach it to the outside of your house (a choice of stick or screw fit), it also comes with a USB block and cable so you can charge it. Also included is an SD card which means you can record and save video clips on it. These can be 10, 20 or 30 second bursts.
It is really easy to set up and install even for a relative non-techy type, provided you know how to download an app. The quick guide provided is very quick and pretty much just points you to the app. Once you have the app it gently leads you through everything you need to do step by step. The app is pretty universal but do make sure your phone can run it.
The battery took about 5 hours to charge. You have to wait for the light to change from red to blue (though this is not mentioned in the quick guide) and its best to charge fully first before setting up or you might have the same problem I did in that it ran out of charge before I could finish that. Oh yes, and to remove the device from its backplate to recharge it you need to use the tool provided – so keep that somewhere very safe.
    Downsides.
The screws provided are not very long which means the attachment is not as secure as it might be with longer screws. Also, whilst in the house, the very portable notification device is easy to keep about, if you are using your phone you have to run the app all the time to get notifications of anyone at the door.
It does seem to have issues in some lighting situations which could affect where you choose to place it. At some angles of full sunshine the screen just goes white and at night whilst half the screen is pretty clear (I have a lampost nearby) the other half is black. But I am going to guess this is an issue most such devices are going to suffer.
Apparently, you can connect this to your Alexa system as well, but as I don’t have one I can’t tell you how that works.
Overall I’m pleased with this and it seems to do a good job.

This 2k resolution video doorbell comes in a nicely presented box and inside you will find the doorbell, 2x security stickers, quick guide, USB power adapter, Micro-USB cable, wall fixing kit, security hex key, 2x mounting 3M stickers, wireless chime, and 3x AA batteries.

Taking the contents out of the box and everything feels like it’s a quality product. The doorbell itself has a good weight to it and doesn’t feel cheap. The mounting plate is already attached to the doorbell and is removed by simply loosening the security bolt underneath and the doorbell slides upwards to release it from the mount. The security screw doesn’t fall out of the wall mount which is great as it won’t fall out when loosening it when your doorbell is fitted. On the bottom of the doorbell is a rubber flap which if you lift it up, it reveals the on/off slider switch, reset button, memory card slot and the Micro-USB charging port. There is a 32mb Micro-SD card already installed for storing footage which I wasn’t expecting.

The physical installation is straight forward as you charge up the doorbell with the included Micro-SD cable. Using the included wall fixings, drill and screw the wall mount to the wall, and slide the doorbell down onto it and secure with the hex screw underneath. If using the 3M adhesive pads for installation, affix them to the back of the wall mount in the indented areas and stick to a clean, smooth and dry surface. Once fitted, turn the doorbell on with the on/off switch under the flap on the bottom. The anti-tamper switch is also located on the rear of the doorbell and is held in when it’s slid onto the wall mount. If someone removes the doorbell from the wall mount, the button will release and alert you that the doorbell has been removed.

Inside your home, insert the 3x AA batteries into the door chime. It is already paired with the doorbell so it will automatically connect straight away. If it doesn’t, simply hold the cog button for two seconds and the status light will flash, you just need to press the doorbell button now and it’ll pair the two together. Install the Arenti app on your phone, sign up for an account or sign in if you already have the app on your phone, and click on add device. Click on doorbell down the left column and then click on the picture of this doorbell in the right column. The app will guide you through the setup process asking you to choose your Wi-Fi network and input the Wi-Fi password. The video doorbell is now ready for use. When you press the doorbell, the doorbell chime rings, and you get notified by the app on your phone. The notification on the app takes one second to let you know someone has pressed the doorbell, so is really quick.

I found the doorbell chime to be a little loud as it comes set at max volume, so I adjusted the volume via the app. Finding the options wasn’t straight forward, but you have to go to the live view and then you can access the options for the doorbell. The software feels a little basic but is more than capable of doing the job so it’s up to the task. The only issue I found was when trying to move the slider for the volume of the chime, it was hidden behind a question box about if I wanted to watch a tutorial. No matter what I pressed, I couldn’t get that message to disappear so couldn’t adjust the volume. I found a workaround though that if you place your finger on the lowest part of the volume slider, which is the only bit you can see, then you can slide it up and down behind the message so it could still be adjusted but you just couldn’t see it, so it was trial and error.

Using a micro-SD card in the doorbell allows it to record footage or you can opt for paying for a cloud service where recorded footage is uploaded to the servers. The Micro-SD gives you the same convenience, but it is free to use. The recorded footage can be viewed via the app. Without a cloud subscription or memory card, you can view a screenshot of the door camera when the doorbell was pressed, and that is it. The camera works as it should when used Live so not having a card or subscription doesn’t stop the doorbell working as it should, it just won’t record footage for later playback. I’m really happy to say that there is a 32gb Micro-SD already installed in the camera so it will start recording footage straight away. The only negative I can say with this is that the memory card is accessible by anyone. The flap at the bottom of the doorbell isn’t hidden or behind anything and anyone can remove that memory card. If a burglar knows this doorbell, they will know that they can remove the memory card and you will have no footage saved of them, unless you have a cloud subscription as all the recorded footage would be on the memory card they stole.

In conclusion, this doorbell works quite well and I’m more than happy to continue using it. The lag between the person at the door saying something, and it then coming through your phone, was about 2 seconds so is reasonable for a video doorbell. A nice looking door camera with an included chime for a good price. The picture quality is really sharp given its 2k resolution and remains sharp at night time due to the night vision. Night time recordings are black and white but still offer a sharp, crisp picture. Talking to someone via the doorbell and you can hear them clearly and they can hear you clearly too. There is a little lag of between 1-2 seconds but it’s normal for this type of doorbell so not a weakness of this particular model

A great doorbell with crisp picture, anybody can access the SD card though...

Very good security doorbell camera. It is quite bulky and big but that is because of the big 6000mah battery. It comes with a chime which is good, I have had competitor brands at the same price which don’t come with a chime. Comes with security window stickers which can add a little extra deterrent. Mount is good and the quality of the 2k camera is very good. Much comparable to other competitor brands.

This video doorbell smart security system is way better than my original and it is much better priced. This doorbell is well made and extremely good quality and best of all the instructions are straightforward and easy to follow.

You need 3 AA batteries to operate this system and they are included which is a bonus! In operation the door chimes are really loud and very clear and once the batteries were installed worked immediately. Again the video doorbell push camera is straightforward to install and all the required fittings are included in the box. Once you activate this it works like a dream and you can even operate with Alexa! Much much smarter than my old one and to be fair this is a much better piece of kit at a really reasonable price for everything you get, this is a larger system than I am used to but I am very very happy with it and the night vision is excellent. Five stars and I recommend.

The Arenti doorbell camera is pretty good in my opinion. I have one doorbell camera which is also good but this one has more settings to go through and choose the ones that suits us.

The instruction given with the doorbell, chime, charging plug and batteries, is written in few languages and it’s very limited. Most of the things we need to do through the app where we get step by step messages what to do next. It’s pretty easy to set it up. I didn’t have any problems. We need to add WiFi network at 2.4gHz.
The Arenti App has many settings, we can even record voice mail so visitor can hear it out after pressing the ring button on the camera. That’s new to me. Same with attempt of removing the camera-if someone try to steal it I get the alarm notification too. That’s good.

The picture quality during the day is good, in colour. There is a second delay but that’s same with most cameras. I also tried the night vision which also works well. When camera switches between day and night mode, it makes specific click and red light goes in it (when I use the app to observe it).

The chime is not plug into the socket like my other doorbell camera.. this one requires 3xAA batteries which were provided. Good thing about it is that I can take the chime with me in the garden and will be notified of any visitor coming. Downside is obviously the use of batteries which may not last as long.. The volume of chime is loud but we can adjust it slightly. We also can choose the ringtone..there is quite few, even melodies from popular songs.

What I like about this doorbell is that it has faster notification system. After just a second after pressing the bell I get notification. I can directly speak with the visitor. It looks like phone call, with green button on top of my screen to accept the call. It’s clever and handy especially when out and about when postie comes around.
The sound/voice is pretty clear without unwanted high pitch noises like some other doorbell I’ve seen.

The doorbell is quite heavy but we’ll made and looks high quality. It comes with 32gb memory card which is hidden on bottom of the doorbell. In my opinion the access to it is very easy..for everyone too. The reset button and switch button is also for easy access to everyone..I think it should be more hidden , at least on the back of the doorbell where is the mounting holder screwed in to the camera. Different screw, unusual shape should also be used. In fact there is a star shaped screw..Still many people may have it.. this should have its own, original key with original shaped screw for maximum safety..

All in all, I like this doorbell. It has many good and useful features and it works as expected.
Quality doorbell with memory card included, I think its worth the price.

    Great quality doorbell

This doorbell is great. It is easy to use, assemble and install. It comes with a manual on how to use the doorbell and chime. You have to download an app on your phone to use it and it’s easy to pair. Tells you when someone walks by, presses the doorbell and when someone is attempting to pry the camera off the door or wall. When someone presses the door bell, an alert comes up on the phone and says you have a visitor at the top and you have the choice to decline or accept so you can communicate through the doorbell. The chime is also easy to connect and can be connected to multiple doorbells. The doorbell camera has automatic night vision and the picture quality is good.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis is most definitely above average compared to many other Video Doorbells, it’s really good quality, very well-made, and simple to set-up. It’s also very easy to use, and very effective.

Upon opening the box, everything is there to quickly, and easily, get up and running, with a good and clear (legible English) instructions (albeit quite small print!).

The door chime worked without the need to pair, so nothing required apart either adding batteries (3 x AA — supplied), OR via USB (charger plug plus Micro USB cable provided) which if you don’t have another, can double as a charger for the device when necessary. The chime is good and loud.

Setting up is a breeze, it took literally just a couple of minutes. The device utilises the Arenti app, which is most definitely one of the best of this app type I have come across, the other excellent one being Smart Life. I already use the Arenti app (another 2 x cameras), so it was quite simply a case of adding an extra device.

The video doorbell push / camera is IP65 rated, really simple to install, and comes with necessary fixings to enable. This can be affixed by using the (included) 3M self-adhesive strips, or screws / plugs (also supplied) You simply fix the bracket, then the main body slides on to the bracket, and is secured by a small security screw at the bottom (the special screwdriver is included.)

Once you have set up, and activated the device, it rings to the chime (quite loud), and also to your phone, allowing you see and speak to (or reject) the caller. Speech is duplex, but due to the delay is more like half-duplex), and it is quite clear, although not overly loud. Camera image (130 wide-angle fisheye) quality is good (2K), although also described elsewhere as 1080P — it is 2K though. IR (0.001Lux @f1.2) for night-time is pretty good, and works perfectly well enough for purpose. The in-built battery will give good operating time between charges, around 3 months — based upon 10 x activations per day (easy to remove for this purpose), having excellent capacity — 6700 mA/H.

In addition This also works perfectly with Alexa, and is added automatically, so no extra programming required. The device also has PIR activation (from c7m), which will automatically alert and record to SD card (32 Mb Micros SD included — can of course be increased if required — up to 128Mb) or to cloud.

Overall, this is a superb device that works really well, with pretty decent audio and superb 2K video. The device is quite big and bulky, which, to be fair, they all are. However, this one does look a lot smarter than many others.

I hope this has been helpful.

    Superb Produc

I have tested and reviewed quite a few video door bells, some good, some absolutely awful.

I have to say this is one of the best I have reviewed, it does have one tiny flaw.

First things first, the video footage is brilliant, make sure you select ‘UHD’ when viewing in the app for the best play back. The footage is clear and the night vision is also very good.

    In the box you get:
    – door bell
    – chime
    – batteries
    – usb cable
    – micro SD card (already installed)
    – screws and wall plugs
    – Allen key
    – stickers

First up you want to check the door bell is fully charged, so connect up the usb cable to the charging port on the bottom of the device and wait until the LED goes from red to blue.

When that’s all done you’ll want to start the set up, everything is in the installation manual and it was a pretty pain free process – make sure you connect to a 2.4ghz WiFi otherwise it won’t work.

When you have connected you are ready to place the door bell, the easiest way I have found this is to fire up the app and go to where you want it, this way you can get the right height and coverage before you drill any holes.

Once you are happy unscrew the security screw on the bottom of the doorbell and pull the backplate down, this will allow you to drill holes and screw it into place before clicking the doorbell into place and tightening the security screw.

The app for this doorbell is pretty extensive, you can set how long you want it to record.

One thing I like is that you can set up motion alerts to only activate between certain times on certain days, and you can adjust the sensitivity.

Playback wise you will be shown a timeline with markers for when there has been any activity, be that a doorbell press or motion capture.

Playback through the app is very good with a nice smooth play without any buffering or jerky movement. You can clearly make out faces in light or with the night vision.

Now the bad point, the SD card is in the bottom of the doorbell covered with a rubber flap, there is nothing stopping someone coming upto your doorbell and taking the card.
If you dont set up cloud storage then guess what? The videos and images that the doorbell had taken are now gone. (Equally anyone can just turn it off or reset it).

Otherwise the doorbell is great quality, with a brilliant video quality and app quality.

Great video quality with a great app

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe Arenti doorbell is amazing, has 2k resolution, instant push alerts, ai powered detection with motion sensor alert, two way audio and is rechargable with no wore installation

With the device the app needs to be setup and connected via your designated WiFi connection, please note 2.4Ghz and not 5Ghz, I have a mesh network around the house so no issue with the 2.4 transmission but it might impact you if you have thick walls or router is further away than normal

You also get included the battery operated chime box, sits where you need it, connects directly to the Video Door bell and give you the lovely chime sounds when the doorbell is pushed, you have different volume settings on the device and the ability to set different tones for your required sound

Instant notification when the door bell is pushed, you are presented with a red and green buttons which simulates a phone call style notification which is driven by the app, I was expecting a delay when it is pushed but I got instant notification and messages of an alert and was immediately presented with the screen the accept the doorbell and be connected to the user at the other end, two way audio is very clear and precise, having the option to upgrade the camera resolution to 2k is amazing and allows really.good picture quality. While in the live video.mode you can select to talk, take a picture, capture video and expand the image to the full screen of your device for a very clear picture, very impressive as Ring Doorbell having looked at the specs only got to 1080p

The doorbell is easy to install, either with screws and plugs provided, or with the 3M sticky pads if you don’t want to screw or have the option to only use the sticky pads, I opted for the screws for a more secure fit, once the wall mount is installed, you alot the device in the holder and use the little allen key which the secures the panel and the device together so the device cannot be stolen. I would think that if you used the sticky pads it would be easier to steal so I opted for the screws which will not move or be allowed to be stolen without some real effort and time

Also included in the box, charging brick, usb cable, Arenti CCTV stickers to warn off potential thieves and usual documentation for the product

    — 32GB SanDisk MicroSD card includes in the package — No extra cost
A cloud storage option is available but I just used the included storage provided to capture what I need on a daily basis

I highly recommend this product against leading brand suppliers and provides a higher quality product for the money

Wow, so much better than Ring Doorbell

This is a really good quality Doorbell. As a long time owner of one of the most popular brands this one is easily competes.

Build quality is really good and you get both the doorbell and chime in the box.

Setup is reasonably straight forward and the app is actually quite good.

I would encourage anyone to take a look at the product Q&A section where the manufacturer picks up on some FAQ’s that might help your purchase decision.

The system utilises micro sd and in operation I generally found it comparable to ym older gen big name brand.

Answering the door form within and away form the house is a doddle with the app. Be aware that with it being outside you need to ensure good wifi coverage as you are sending HD video and audio through.

Video quality in day is great and night time is acceptable.

Battery longevity will dpeend on frequency of use, weather, wifi strength etc

I’ve researched video doorbells a few time and never been able to find the right one for me/one that seemed good enough to order. So when the opportunity came to test this one out I was excited but not sure if it would live up to my expectations when I don’t want to pay for a cloud service. Omg I’m glad I did because doorbell is great and so is the app

I’ll get the negatives out of the way first, but there aren’t many and overall it’s great:
~ I hate the fact that the micro SD card slot and ON/OFF switch is just on the bottom of the doorbell with a rubber cover over it. This means that anyone can easily steal your memory card. This is a very poor design and my biggest gripe with this camera. The slot should be on the rear of the camera and only accessible when the locking pin is removed
~ The doorbell doesn’t feature 24/7 recording so can’t double as a security camera. Not the end of the world but I would’ve turned it on if I had the option. Not sure if it would wreck the battery life though. So it’s better to have other security cameras in place as well as this
~ It has person/motion detection but no zone selection (although this may come in an update as it’s just been added to my other Arenti camera). You can switch motion detection on/off and choose from 5 levels of sensitivity and that works pretty well
~ When the doorbell rings on my mobile it shows a default person logo. I assume this is meant to send me a quick picture of who’s at the door when the doorbell was pressed? Doesn’t seem to do that. Not sure if this is correct or not

Those are the main negatives I can think of, but there’s lots of positives to outweigh those:
+ Very quick and easy to setup (now that Arenti have fixed the issue with no QR code loading in their latest app update)
+ The app itself is not perfect but is very good and fairly easy to use once you get the hang of it. It’s also packed with features and different settings so it. I’m really impressed by how well the app works, how quick it is, and just how many options you have. Tech is my hobby so I’m always the first to pick up flaws on websites and apps, but the Arenti app is pretty good
+ Camera quality isn’t up to the standard of a full blown home security camera system but is very good and better than most others I’ve seen. You can choose between 3 video qualities which watching – Standard Def, High Def, and Full Def. SD is great for using over mobile data and quicker loading times, and the others are better when you have a good connection as they produce a slightly clearer picture. It struggles a bit at night with low light and night vision turned off but 99% of the time that isn’t an issue. If you have a motion sensor light by your front door this will also solve this
+ The app is great at linking all your Arenti/Laxihub devices together in one place. You can show 4 cameras at once on one screen by pressing the 4 squares in the top right, double click to enlarge, and scroll sideways to flick through them. It’s very quick and smooth too
+ The motion detection works fairly well. Most of the time it detects a person just before they reach the doorbell. This is nice as you get a little ‘pir’ notification as someone approaches the door and then the ‘You have a visitor’ notification as the buttons pressed. I really like it as a prewarning (but obviously this can be turned off if you don’t like that)
+ The addition of a wireless chime is great. I don’t like using batteries myself and use wired devices as much as possible. But I’ve just moved into a rental property which is severely lacking enough sockets. This means I can just plonk the chime on the stairs in the middle of the house and not have to worry. Excellent!

Hopefully I haven’t missing anything out and covered enough. I feel like there’s so much to say about these and I’m surprised I’m as impressed as I am with this and the app. I’m glad you’re not punished for not buying a cloud subscription with this, and it’s been very useful

This VBELL1 video doorbell fits perfectly where my old wired doorbell was and it’s great that it’s rechargeable doesn’t need battries . comes with everything AA batteries, screws It was super easy to install. I followed the directions, removed my old door bell, screwed it in to the wall and used the app call arenti to set it up. So far it has worked well. I used the app to customize the motion detection area to minimize false positives. The doorbell itself is plug-n-play.
Everything else works like a charm I like that it has two way audio .Alerts me to deliveries and visitors. Picture quality is fine. it works with Alexa and Google assistant who handles notifications I wanted an actual sounding door bell this is my choice of doorbell and motion alert sounds. Satisfied with the entire setup.

This is the best choice of doorbell

I have been using this doorbell for about a month now and here are my impressions:

Video and Audio Quality – I am very impressed with the quality considering the price. I have installed and reviewed a few doorbells for my family and friends in the past including ring, amcrest and eufy. In terms of video quality this has to be nearer the top of pile alongside eufy. The picture is very clear during the day with ideal lighting conditions, and you can easily make out face a few metres away. It also handles night-time very well it automatically turns to black and white and uses IR to detect presence, I was able to clearly make out a face a couple of metres away from the camera. Overall I am very impressed with the video quality.

The audio quality is pretty good, the speaker on the doorbell could do with being a bit louder but from my experiences with delivery drivers they were able to understand me fine. The mic quality is good when answering from my mobile phone, but the delivery driver did sometimes have to get a bit closer to the doorbell for me to understand them clearly.

Storage – The doorbell has two options for storage MicroSD card or Cloud storage. It’s always great to have the option of using MicroSD card to save on the monthly fees. It was really easy to install, simply uncover the seal on the bottom of the doorbell and click in the MicroSD card. I put in a 64gb card which gets me a least a month of motion alerts of course this depends on the frequency of the alerts.

Cloud storage is available with a free trial for 3 months to start. Then monthly costs ranging from $3-16 a month depending on how long you want to keep the video. It’s a good option to have but I would advise using the MicroSD.

Notifications – This is a simple one, from pressing the doorbell it took 1-5 seconds to receive the notification on my iPhone. Which in my experience is the standard. The motion alerts were a bit hit and miss, someone’s notifying me immediately but other times taking a little while.

Security and installation – The installation was also very easy. It comes included with two options screws and wall plugs or adhesive pads. I really wouldn’t recommend using adhesive pads, as easy as they are to install a quick yank from someone would easily pull the doorbell off the wall. To screw it to the wall it’s as simple as drilling 3 holes then screwing the screws into the wall plugs.

My only issue is that the seal is located on the bottom of the unit which makes it easy for anyone to remove the microSD card or simply turn the power off. This is a bit of a security flaw and really should have been in the rear of the unit so everyone can’t gain access to it.

Despite these negatives for the video and audio quality alone I do recommend it considering the price point (Currently 89.99 with an available 10% voucher making it 80.99).

Great video and audio quality for the price

As soon as you open the box you realise that this is a quality item, ready to compete with the big brand names in this competitive market. Straight off I like the dark colour, and it feels heavy too, giving a sense of robustness.

Batteries are included and setup was straight forward using the app. I opted to install a micro SD card to save signing up to ongoing cloud services, which although not too expensive with this item, I prefer to remain in control and keep storage local.

Battery capacity so far is good, I’ve been using it for over a month now and still going strong. You can install the camera doorbell either with the supplied stickers or bracket.

Resolution is good and notifications are easy to set up. If someone tries to remove it, you are notified too.

Very impressed with the quality and represents great value for money, especially when an offer is on with this item. Happy to recommend.

High quality with SD storage options instead of cloud

I used to have a very similar doorbell, but not as nice looking. The app design is the same, however this one looks much more refined.

Works well with my iphone. Video quality is really great, audio as well.

Compared to the RING, this one is not as good, but not as expensive also.

Battery lasts for 3-4 weeks. Can be constantly on charge, if you can wire it, but I just remove it from the wall and charge it from the usb socket.

There is a indoor bell, that is battery operated. Very loud and melodies can be changed.

App can be installed on multiple devices, but I have noticed it does not always work simultaneously on all of them.

4 stars for the door bell, due to the app having a mind of its own sometimes. Works very well if you restart the app once a week.

A very versatile camera! It can be used as either a doorbell camera or general CCTV one. I’ve currently mounted it on my front gate to monitor my porch and driveway, and it’s working brilliantly.

It’s been exposed to almost daily rain these past few weeks and is still very much intact. The casing feels durable and strong, and isn’t likely to deteriorate from strong winds or snow either. Looks very sleek and professional and the camera isn’t that very in-your-face so can quite easily go undetected.

Image quality is excellent. Very vivid and sharp during the day (though not so sharp that it shows cars’ license plates in front of it), and night mode displays everything clearly, even when it’s super dark.

The two-way audio works really well. The mic picks up sounds easily (including the cooing of the pigeons who decided to nest three meters away from it), and it relays my voice clearly.

Motion detection is seamless, alerting my phone whenever someone walks by.

Great quality and performance. I’d be happy to recommend it!

I have had a camera from Arenti so I simply added this new device-video doorbell to my Arenti App. It took no time to get it connected via 2.4G WiFi to my phone.
The package comes with a video door bell and a speaker. They are sleek and modern black. I didn’t drill to install the doorbell onto my door. I stick it with a nano tape which is strong and easy to be removed. Thanks to the anti-stolen feature, I don’t need to worry about it being taken away by someone because you will be alerted if someone is attempting to do that. The picture quality is good, if not great. I get alert straightaway from my phone if someone is at the door. I can handle deliveries more conveniently and unhurriedly. I simply speak to the driver over my phone and let them know I will be at the door soon. Or I can just ask them to drop the parcels at my front door and I will get them when it’s convenient for me.
Life is safer and more convenient with this video doorbell.

Knows who it is before you open the doo

Update: For some reason I have received two of these and now my son is super happy too. His one is identical to mine so not much has changed. He is using the indoor video camera from the same manufacturer and he loves it. These doorbells work on the same app too.

My son was putting it up at 7.30pm in the dark he was that excited. You still also get a free 3 month trial of cloud storage and after that the 3 day storage is 3 dollars 99 whatever that is in our money. I think that’s very reasonable. You can add an SD card instead though.
It’s a large doorbell but worth every penny in my opinion. I still have issues with my wifi signal where it’s sited but I have 60% strength and it works perfectly with the occasional bit of crackling sound. Overall we’re very happy with these video doorbells.

This is just what I needed. Finally a truly wire free video doorbell and you do need to recharge but I’d rather do that than run wires everywhere. I have cctv covering the door with a speaker but a direct on face camera would complete the set up.

The build and plastic quality is good. It’s easy to install and you get notifications directly to your phone. Also you get three months free subscription so I’ll have to see if it’s good enough to continue. It seems good enough so far.

I like how clear the images are and although it’s black and white at night it complements my colour cctv at night. The motion detection is a good feature. It runs on 2.4ghz broadband but the signal is sketchy where I have it so there’s a slight delay in video and audio but that can’t be helped. I can still speak to people even though there’s a few seconds delay. Also the battery life gets better and lasts longer after a few charges.

I’m really impressed with this and it’s a good price compared to some others so I’d buy it again.

Completes my door surveillance and now my sons too

Instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Attaching the door bell to the door was so simple and is very secure, connecting the door bell via the app was pretty straight forward also.
Picture quality is really high, good clear all around images, motion detector is very good (our cat sets it off walking past)
Has space for sd card to expand the memory. Good loud doorbell chime which can be heard all around the house.
Very impressed with this doorbell and so peace of mind having i

Overall this doorbell camera works really well, it’s fairly straightforward to install and the app is simple to use. Picture quality is good and there doesn’t appear to be much delay when using 2 way audio. The design is fine, a little larger than a previous unit which I don’t personally like as I find it’s quite bulky looking on the door but otherwise it’s a good alternative to RING doorbell systems. Thus also comes with a chime so value for money is decent – it’s not the cheapest but we haven’t experienced lag like we have with others (so far) so that’s a big plus. Notifications work well again without too much delay. I’d recommend, they’re a god send these days with the amount of parcel thefts etc going on, wouldn’t be without one now.

The Arenti video doorbell is good value for money and so far I am really satisfied with the overall usability and performance of the doorbell.

The doorbell is battery operated, the batter is estimated to last up to 6 months depending on how you use the camera – obviously motion detection and regular viewing the live feed will use battery.

The doorbell comes with all fittings required for installation, such as a mount and screws – installation as quick and easy. The doorbell also utilises an app for installation and connecting to Wi-Fi, the app functionality is great and set up only took a few minutes or so. The app has many features which can be utilised such as motion detection.

The camera quality isn’t bad at all to be honest, in the day time I find it works really well and works sufficiently at night. The camera does work better in lighter conditions in my opinion. Watching the camera live is lag and buffer free, this is dependant on the speed you receive from your internet provider/location & distance away from the router etc.

There is an Micro SD card slot which allows you to store video on the memory card – you can also utilise the Arenti cloud storage at an additional cost, personally I prefer to have the media on a physical memory card. The Arenti services do seem good value for money however.

Overall, this is a smart looking, easy to use doorbell which has many features – providing additional security to your home, ideal for home or business use. Highly recommended!

    Things to note:
App needed to get full benefits
Subscription is required for cloud storage a duration
Battery life until charge is around 8 weeks for a busy household (4-5 triggers per day)
Only works on 2.4Ghz (better for distance) NOT 5Ghz (Better for bandwidth) so mae sure you support this.

This is the first door bell of this type we have had and we are very impressed. The picture quality is
Excellent and it was very easy to set up. It makes more of a difference than I thought being able to see who is at the door before answering it and not needing to go near the door to check.

  44. BoydPYOjqqoedg says:

I’ve actually got an Arenti security cam already and so when I needed to get a video doorbell, choosing the same make it made sense since I already had the app and knew about the quality of the products

We’ve been having some nefarious types breaking into homes in the neighbourhood recently and I thought it was time to add a video doorbell too

When you get this it says that the battery should last 3-6 months. I can’t vouch for that yet as I haven’t had the product that long.

I found it pretty easy to attach to the door using the supplied mount and screws. then adding it to the app was easy too as I basically followed the same procedure as I had the previous cam

The resolution seems pretty good compared to some lower quality products which you end up with not just fuzzy but laggy video. The good thing with this is that it does allow you to place an sd card into it in case you don’t want to subscribe to the cloud services after the free period ends.

You also get notifications on your phone if its pressed or it detects someone trying to prise it off the door

One of the cons is that the Alexa integration could be a bit more seamless, but this could possibly be fixed in further updates

I am in two minds about this product, whilst 70 with the chime, Amazon’s own Ring door bell has been as low as 67 recently all be it without the chime.

The main difference is Ring charges 25 per anum for cloud storage when the Arenti cloud pricing is $22 a MONTH to hold 30 days worth of full day recording. There is no option to hold 30 days worth of alarm recording. Three months of os Arenta Cloud comes with the device based on 3 day storage. Unlike Ring you can have onboard storage but this is not much use if someone steals your door bell. The Arnta is a 2K camera as opposed to others which are 1080P but for a door bell camera I am not convinced it makes a huge difference.

Give the cloud plan is really necessary in my opinion, the high level of the plan means I can’t recommend this door bell purely because of the annual costs.

If you don’t need cloud recording, then it is alot of kit for the cost as it includes the chime, only you an decide!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs much as I wanted this wireless video doorbell, I have to admit that, not being very technologically adept, I was worried I might not manage to set it up. However, it really was incredibly simple. After downloading the app from the App Store, I simply opened the app and followed the instructions, (spoken, but written onscreen too, in case you miss something). I’d recommend charging the camera and putting the (supplied) batteries in the doorbell first. In no time at all, I’d set up the camera, paired it to the doorbell, and connected it to the home Wi-fi (you’ll need your Wi-fi password). It was all surprisingly simple – even simpler than putting it up outside (again, all the screws etc for that are included). It all works excellently. When someone rings the bell outside, not only does the wireless bell chime indoors, but I also get an instant chime on my iPhone, and an image of the caller appears. I can simply say “Leave the parcel on the doorstep, thanks,” and then collect it safely when I’m ready and if I’m out I can ask for it to be left in the garage. Very useful. Every home should have one and there’s truly no need to feel overwhelmed by the set-up procedure if you’re a technophobe!

Once you have struggled to get in the box, it’s fairly easy to set up. The enclosed instructions are pretty poor, but when you download the app it takes you through the setup procedure nicely.

The doorbell is powered by a rechargeable battery – charged by taking the unit down and using a Micro-USB cable (why didn’t they use USB-C – poor). The chime can either be battery powered – 3x AA (enclosed) or via micro-USB (grrr) and the supplied lead and mains adapter. The chime has a couple of naff sound options and an option to change the volume.

The camera is easy to install either via two screws in the back plate or with two sticky tabs (enclosed). The camera is then screwed to the backplate – making it harder to remove. Once downloaded the app connects to the WiFi and then prompts you to setup an account. Then you can alter the setting on your camera – motion detection or tamper alert. The images are stored on either an micro-SD card (not supplied) or to the cloud (3 months free- then you have to pay). At the moment I’m just using an old SD card.

The functionality works well with alerts being sent to your phone. The only negative for me is the Alexa integration. It’s easy to connect etc, but it appears the only thing you can do is if you have an Alexa Show is see the camera live image. You can’t interact with the intercom and it won’t send a notification if the doorbell is pressed – pretty poor – the minimum you would have thought was if the doorbell is pressed Alexa does an announcement. Really what were the developers thinking. Hopefully they will upgrade the app soon – but from online comments doesn’t look hopeful.

So if you can live without the Alexa integration then this is a great alternative to more expensive options. I just need to wait and see how long the battery life is.

I’ve never used or set up a camera doorbell before I did t know what I was getting myself in to with this but it was a leap im glad I took in all honesty I got this for my mum who is of ill health and spends alot of time in bed so thort this would take some of the pressure off of having to rush to answer the door.

The set up was quicker than how long it took me to screw it to the door it was that simple.

The box included the doorbell, the chime box, 3 rechargeable batteries, charging cable and window stickers to let people know you have a doorbell camera recording.

First thing I had to do was download the app from the play store on my mums android phone.
Once downloaded I opened it and set up a new account this consisted of entering a username, nickname and password.
Once you have done this you choose which devise you want to add to the app in my case it was the doorbell.
From there the app gives step by step instructions.
Turn on the doorbell (on switch located in bottom of doorbell. Then hold reset button for 5 seconds then the app preety much does the rest you just select your WiFi and add the password in and press next a few times once it tells you the doorbell is connected.

The chime box takes 3 AA batteries (provided) they fit in the back when battery runs out you use the charging cable to charge it back up (same charging cable you use for doorbell)
There is buttons on top to pick chime and volume etc.. the chime box can be positioned anywhere in the house as it is wireless so you have freedom of where to put it.

Fitting the doorbell onto the door you slide the back panel off attach some self adhesive pads(provided) onto back and position on the door I then used 2 screws (also provided) to screw it securely in place.
The doorbell then slots on the back panel and had a screw in the bottom to hold it in place.
That screw is a different head like a star Shap and the screwdriver to tighten and loosen it comes with the doorbell so keep that somewhere safe as you will need it to loosen when charging the doorbell up.

The charging port on doorbell is in the bottom panel same place as on off and reset buttons. There is also a slot for a memory card if you wish to put one in there isn’t one provided. The doorbell had a anti tamper device in so if anyone tried to mess with the doorbell or take it off it will record what’s happening and notify you on your phone thru the app.

You can open the app any time and press play on the doorbell and you can see a live stream from the camera on it to check if anyone is there if you hear any noises.

Now when someone comes to your door and rings the doorbell you chime box will chime and your phone will get a notification and a call type screen appears you can reject or answer like a phone call when you answer you will see a live stream thru the camera at who is at your door and you are able to talk to them thru the doorbell and they can answer you also.
So my mam is able to say she is on her way to the door giving her a bit time to get there without the person walking away thinking she’s not in. Also she can ask people to identifying them selves show id etc before she answers the door if she is unsure about who it is
Perfect safety device for these situations for elderly people.

The picture is crystal clear can see exactly who it is and the speaker is clear as day you can hear and be heard easily I am very very impressed with this set up and would recommend it.
We are now considering buying a second doorbell to put it on the front door also.

So So easy to set up and use

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe have a Ring front doorbell but nothing on our back door since the original Ring bell stopped working. I’ve enjoyed trying this new product. I’d never heard of Arenti before, but I can see from their website that they are a large Dutch design and manufacturing group that specialises in premium video security products. The quality and durability of this doorbell is the equal of anything I’ve seen before and the look and feel of it are truly reassuring, I can’t see why it shouldn’t last for years.

The doorbell is a reasonable size and looks good when fitted — which is very easy to do indeed, with all screws included. It’s quite weighty which is reassuring — it really feels like a quality item. The packaging adds to this ultra-premium feel, too and it seems all recyclable. The app installs quickly and the doorbell connected easily through the app to our Wi-Fi. Unlike with Ring, there’s a doorbell included, which takes three AA size replaceable batteries (which are included). We’ve put a spare micro-SD card into it, but I see you can pay a small annual fee for cloud storage, too. Notifications come through to our phones really quickly. All-in-all this seems to me to be a truly well-designed and useful product.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThere are tonnes of doorbells on the market, with products like Nest Hello and Ring dominating the major markets and smaller ones like Eufy coming in close by. This Laxihub Video doorbell comes in at a decent 92.99 with 25% off so it’s definitely one of the cheaper options available. It’s IP65, outputs 2k, rechargeable, has tamper protection AND has a chime included. Inside the box you’ll get the chime, batteries for the chime, the doorbell, the doorbell, stickers, screws for mounting, the key for locking it as well as a USB cable. Setup was very easy, including mounting and setting up with WiFi. It guides you through it and you’re pretty much good to go after. It will only work on a 2.4GHz network though. It has alot of the features of other doorbells, with two walk talking, storage via the SD card but also has the ability to access via cloud storage. You get 3-months free included and videos on the cloud are saved for 72-hours. The battery life depends exactly on how often it’s pressed/triggered. I haven’t used it for that long, but it claims for 3-6 months, though on past doorbells I’ve found it’s more like 2-3. The motion detection works fairly decently via PIR sensors in the doorbell too. The nightmode is not colour, but it’s decent enough to make out details and given you can access the camera at any time, you’ll be able to rest safe knowing you can see what’s going on at any time. Charging is really easy via the USB included and the app also displays the battery life so you know when to charge it up. I think if you want localised storage, a video doorbell that works, is easy to use and lasts a decent amount of time as well as not faffing around with any wired installation nor having to buy a chime separately, this is a great fit. It works with Echo Show to show the live feeds also. It’s a very decent price, from a small name brand and the build quality and look of the doorbell is great. The subscriptions for cloud services can vary in price though. I am only using local storage, but looking at the Arenti website, it ranges from 30 dollars a year for 3-day up to 160 dollars a year for 30-day history to be kept. Vs Ring which offers 30-day history for just 25.00 per device annually on the basic package. Just something to consider when weighing up costs.

Great build quality, camera quality, reasonable price with local storage via SD Card.

All you really need to do is download the app, turn on the doorbell, hold the reset/pair button and the app does the rest. Then you can just screw the doorbell onto your wall. All the screws are provided for you and the backplate that gets screwed to the wall has an anti theft mechanism in it, so if someone decides to steal it, it will record the footage and let you know what’s going on straight to your phone. The wire free installation is amazing. You will need to recharge the batteries on it at some point but it does have 3-6 months off on time which is pretty impressive so I wouldn’t make it any kind of a concern for you,

Like any of these devices they aren’t easy to take off the wall but they will come off if someone knows what they’re doing. At least with this one you can get some reassurance you’ll know about it and have some evidence. In terms of how well the doorbell to video mode works, I personally think it’s quite good. Even if I’m not home I’m able to interact with delivery drivers and tell them where my safe place is for my parcels.

You do get an instant notification on your phone as soon as the doorbell button Is pressed, giving you enough time to open the notification and call. The audio quality is surprisingly good and you can chat with the individual with ease. Even if a car goes by or it is windy it seems to only pick up the directional sound off talking.

All in all I’m very impressed by this device. It does exactly what I wanted it too and is a great alternative to amazons version.
