Great product . Work brilliantly in pool . Only down side is you can’t ( or at least I couldn’t ) down load songs from an iPad I phone . Has to be a laptop

So far so good, only used it once and have to say I am quite impressed, was fab swimming with my music, when I went under the water, the music amplified, it sounded brilliant, so was just floating there like a jelly fish listen to my tunes, not sure if people could hear it but if so, I hope they liked 80s rock music- your welcome!

So on someone else’s post about plugging the headphones in and it having some songs on from 2019, they thought it was a used one, mine had this also, so I am wondering if that’s just for all of them, pretty much a coincidence, 2 headsets having the same music on.

Will update in a few months when I have used the MP3 player a bit more

Bought these for swimming and I can’t tell you how good they are. The sound is great and with conduction you can hear through your ears as well for when you are out running or cycling to feel safe or with earplugs to only hear the music, like when you are swimming. Swimming mode boost the high frequencies as bass frequencies are more prominent in water. Easy to charge and controls are neat. Not sure random is that random, but a minor factor as you have many ways to skip or change the folder you are listening to. They are so easy to wear without the use of the free swimming cap and come with the comfortable earplugs. After 6 month of constant use, the battery died on me, but the customer service was excellent and sent me a replacement set. (Under a 2 year warranty). The 4Gb is more than enough songs for anybody and it is so easy to change them on a computer. If you have problems with buds in the ear, go conductive, you won’t regret it.

This has become essential for my swimming fitness sessions. It has removed a lot of the boredom from my daily 50 lengths. You won’t believe how good the sound is until you try it. The unit works in and out of water, so there is no cutting out during each stroke. And if you have pacy music you like, your stroke speed goes up. The controls are a little fiddly to master, but there is a knack to learn to stop reducing the volume when turning earphones off. I haven’t mastered playing different folders yet, so all my music is in just one. One day I will work out hiw to put albums into named folders. Unit is not Bluetooth enabled, but uses a special USB cable/cradle (don’t lose it!). Recommended.

    Great sound
I recharge after 2 swims (64 lengths each swim) to be on safe side
God sent when swimming is your only choice of exercise due to medical issues
Finally swimming is enjoyable due to these babies
I wouldn’t be without them in the pool now

This product is wicked with 1 draw back no Bluetooth connectivity, I have brought many waterproof headphones and none of them have worked correctly, I purchased these in the hope that they would be great sounding even on the water, when I brought them I went for my daily workout, I then thought I’d go snorkelling with my friends and would you believe when I said that the music is actually louder and clearer underwater. Don’t hesitate the other brands last 5 minutes grab this one and go and explore! You can also watch my detailed reviews on this product at triedandtested on YouTube.

The sound quality is amazing on these in general mode and in swimming mode – was really not expecting anything this good for swimming!

Swimming is the one place I can zone out and not worry about things, and I worried (ironic) that getting swimming headphones might detract from that, but quite the opposite – I am loving it!

My only issue is with the fit – they tuck over both ears and sit on your cheeks just infront of your head, and the loop goes round the back of your head.
I struggle because I wear a cap when swimming which I usually pull down quite low and over the top of my ears – this doesn’t work anymore as I cant pull it over the headphones like in the picture without the headphones either moving place, the hat slipping back up, or feeling like the headphones are being pressured into my ear!
Obviously, I cant tuck the headphones into the hat as the loop is much bigger than the back of my head. At the moment I am only pulling the hat as far as behind my ears, but I have quite a gap at the top of my hat which isn’t ideal. Maybe with more practice I will find a method that works for me, but a little annoying so far, since it lists in description – compatible with swim cap.

Very happy so far. The design is smaller and tighter thn others. The arm that goes over/behind the ear is also nice and slim, which minimises pressure when you have a cap over the head and ear. No bluetooth which is the right thing given that its useless whilst swimming, So perfect for me, so far.

    Great product
    Compact and lightweight
Fits snuggly even on a small head shape. Long battery life.

I have been using in ear waterpoof headphones and found them annoying. I found I was forever stopping to reposition them. However I’m delighted with these bone phones! I’m not using them to listen to music though. I don’t like not hearing it in its full rounded form which i think is too much to ask. But it is GREAT for listening to voice. Like others, I’d say not ideal for listening to a book as it starts at the beginning each time but it’s great for podcasts. I’ve been downloading podcasts from BBC Sounds as MP4’s. Works great. I’d also advise taking a while to study all the button options/combinations. Certainly recommended! – just to add that I certainly recommend The Curious Cases of Rutherford and Fry from BBC Sounds. I don’t know why but by far they are the clearest to hear out of the podcasts I’ve tried whilst swimming. Loads of them too!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLoved this product until it stopped working in one ear after 12 months. This morning it came apart on one side (see pic). It seemed very robust but I still kept it in my goggle case to keep it safe. I’ll probably buy another as they are great, but will take more care of it next time.

Good product but more fragile then expected

I’ve had a variety of waterproof headphones over the years to swim with and these are far and away the best. They stay put, aren’t affected by the water in any way and last several swims before recharge. Brilliant.

This is an excellent MP3 player for swimming! I use mine 3 times every week and it is brilliant. Easy to use, good sound quality, long battery life, very light and it stays in place when I am swimming!
This is my 2nd MP3 player. I bought it after hours of research and I think it is the best of the market for exercise!
My 1st MP3 player for swimming was a Sony. It was good but not loud enough, even with blocking the outside noise, and the volume set to max, I was missing too much of the books I was listening to. This Aftershokz MP3 player has resolved the problem and after using it for 4 months, I can only say I am delighted with it and it is well worth the cost!

I saw someone using one of these at my swimming pool and asked about them. She let me listen and recommended it. The sound was surprisingly good so I bought one. I’m very happy with it and use it every time I swim, which is three or four times a week.
You need a bit of tech savvy to load music on to it. You’re going to need a private stash of MP3s, which people who stream all their music these days may struggle with. Fortunately, there are still sites where you can buy and download MP3s.
If you want music while you’re swimming, Bluetooth isn’t much good because the signals don’t travel well through water. You need something with onboard memory. Without a phone to control your play list, you have to depend on the device’s buttons to navigate around your tunes.
This is where similar devices I’ve looked at fail. They only allow you to skip forward or backward one track at a time. If you have hundreds (or thousands) of songs loaded, this is totally impractical. This is pretty important!
Unusually, it seems, this device allows you to skip forwards through your folders.
I bought a second one of these for my girlfriend.

Work and sound perfectly under water, if you wear the ear plgs they come with. Easy to put songs into and controls work as expected.

These fit so comfortably, you hardly feel them, when running they don’t move. For swimming they are a game changer, music to pass the time in the pool.

Well for a start, it does what it say on the tin! Play music while swimming
So yes you have to download the music to the internal memory but Bluetooth doesn’t work in water!
As for modes normal, repeat and shuffle it’s all good I have downloaded about 150 tracks and just play on shuffle, it’s my music so I like what’s playing!
I always use with the earplugs as it stabilises the sound quality.
If you swim buy you won’t be disappointed

Training for an iron distance triathlon, involving lots of long training sessions especially as I’m not a particularly fast swimmer, and find swimming pool quite boring. Used for first time today and absolutely loved them, didn’t even know I had them on but was able to listen to good quality sound, to pass the time. Sound better under the water.

Overall best item I’ve bought on amazon! was abit sceptical at first because of the price but after 5mins into my first swim I knew was money well spent! Been swimming for 5 years always used cheap headphones (25-30) & spent most my time in pool trying to clear water outta the earbuds & putting them back in after falling out. No earbud prob with these & there as good underwater as above!

This is a review after one month’s swimming experience. Around twice a week.
It’s a game changer, totally has changed the experience of swimming! Love it!! The sound quality especially under water is great. If you are swimming in a noisy pool, then the ear plugs are a must. The ear plugs are included in the package, I would say the quality of the plugs are also great. I usually hate wearing ear plugs, but these ones are super soft in proper size.
The battery has long life. Since the first charge, I haven’t charge it the second time yet. Amazing! Super happy!

If you have the following issue where you are adding music to your headphones, but they are failing to play – with the headset saying ‘no music files available’ then do the following to unlock its functionality/playability. Before you eject the device from your laptop with your songs safely on the Xtrainerz drive, ‘Decrypt’ the BitLocker completely for your Xtrainerz drive. And viola! Now, let there be music!!

I bought these mainly for swimming, I had been using some Sony in ear type, which were good however the Aftershokz are far better in every way. I had no trouble loading my chosen music, the controls are easy to use. I’m happy with battery life, I swim for two hours maximum and there is always life left. I’ve never tested the total life but believe what it says on the box. The fit and comfort is really good. Overall I’m very pleased.

I bought these to swim with and the sound quality is far superior to the last in-ear headphones I had (though they were good at the time). These fit over my ears and feel really comfortable on my temples – I barely know I’m wearing them. The sound when my head is in the water is amazing – it’s less when out of the water, but they come with some great little ear plugs which I put in and that keeps it fairly consistent. They’re also great for walking the dog as I can hear people around me tool I love these headphones!
I guess the only downside is that if you’ve got a Mac you have to convert your music to MP3. I’ve had a few MP3 headphones now so I have a free MP3 converter on my laptop and just drag any songs I want on there. It’s easy – but it took me a while to work that out with previous MP3s. I would love these to be bluetooth but they would need to be compatible with Apple Watch and so maybe that’s something for the future. I’d definitely recommend them though. Also, love the fact they come in a rubber ‘pocket’ so it’s really easy to find them.

The manufacturing quality is one thing (wonderful), the technology and sound quality is something else completely. These headphones have been a complete game changer for me in terms of having headphones with good sound quality in the pool. I train more effectively with music in the gym – and now too in the pool. I’m a convert.

Bought cheaper ones that lasted 6 months and then leaked.
These are built solid and with earplugs they have a better than expected bass sound.
