Bird Bath, Garden, Fish Tank, Pond Garden, DIY Water Feature
The solar panel works well and there is sufficient wire to position the panel up high and the bird-bath down low. Good choice of fountain patterns and excellent value overall, although keeping the water in the bowl is a challenge in any wind.
Purchased this item to re-purpose a 3 tier water feature which
had been idle for a number of years. Perfect! The solar panel is larger than the original one & the pump is quiet & effective. So pleased with the outcome!
I debated long and hard before ordering this little solar fountain, read many reviews, but am so glad I opted for this one.
It was so easy to put together, the solar panel is easy to mount on a fence, and a good length of wire which I have hidden under a gravel path and other plants.
We tried all the head options, I would agree there are more than necessary as most do pretty similar job, so yes, nit picking, there is wasted plastic!
I bought the fountain to hopefully clear blanket weed in my small wildlife pond. It is already improving which is amazing. The water is clearer round the area of disturbed water, and generally much less weed the other end. It does block at times with blanket weed, but is so simple to unblock. If the base is blocked, simply lift from water and remove the offending weed from the side, or if fountain is only working from some holes, again, remove from water, lift off the top and unblock. So easy!
The relaxing sound of trickling water is an added bonus.
Very satisfied
Just started to extend my japanese garden and wanted water but not the expense of electric pump. This works quite well when sun is shining, didn’t want the fountain height, just a running water. Teamed it with super fish mini trough – from Amazon – 20 – put it in a second pot and let it overhang main bowl. Bit short on tubing but that is a minor problem. Will buy new pipe next time I’m at garden centre. It All in all , am happy as I didn’t want to spend the earth. Marked 4 stars due to not working after dark.
I own an old stone trough with a central drainage hole. I wanted to have water trickling up into the trough in the style of a natural spring.
Hole dug, hole lined, water introduced, about 40 litres. Although the amount is probably immaterial as it just needs enough to float the pump. Fancy nozzles not required, but I did add a length of clear pipe (fish tank supplier) to the nozzle. The pump was held centrally by threading the tube through a metal grid on which I placed the stone trough and threaded the clear tube through the troughs drainage hole, this bit was fiddly to align every thing. Then I was set. The result was exactly what I wanted. The hole in the trough was large enough to pass the tube through and also large enough to enable the water to flow back into the reservoir. No plastic visible looks very natural. Very pleased. The pump as I said is very tiny, surprisingly as soon as I placed it in the water it began working, Long enough cable to allow the wire to be hidden up a fence panel. The flow was steady and continued solidly despite very overcast weather, later it rained and it still worked. The solar panel is sturdy much more than I expected.
Good for a basic water feature on brighter days, not a bad spray power for solar either.
Easy to set up with nice customisable spray patterns.
Decent length of wire to position the solar panel away from the device.
There was some power already stored from set up so lasted a couple of hours before reverting to the ‘intermittent spray’ mode (cuts out every couple of seconds in low light to recharge as stated in the instruction manual)
*Solar panel could do with better options for positioning, the fold out legs don’t serve much of a purpose.
*Works continually when in direct sunlight, only intermittently in low light (unless had a good few hours of sun)
*Updated to 4 stars – after a week it seems to have kicked in and is working mainly as advertised/per the user manual
A good little solar pump, works really well, just wish you could alter the flow rate, if I use the one in the video I have to keep topping my pond up, can only use the little bubble one, without water coming out of the pond, but overall very happy , works well even when cloudy
I started the return process as soon as I saw the size of the pump but changed my mind when I checked for affordable alternatives. I had to adapt the pump with some pipe to allow the water to flow up from the bottom of the reservoir to the stones at the top and the solar unit is placed on the shed roof in a westerly facing garden. It works pretty well , I am not really convinced about the battery backup , if it works it’s not for long . All in all I am happy with it.
This is an excellent little pump/fountain powered by solar panel and small battery to ensure continuity. It likes sunlight so careful siting of the panel is important. The device comes with a disc to enable it to float and several fountain head pieces so you can have various types of fountain. Unless you can keep the floating disc in place, it can move around with the wind and you may find the water in your pond being emptied out into the vegetation at the side if you are not careful. With a little bit of plastic tubing I have it pumping water up onto a short length of plastic guttering where it can run back down to the pond in a little waterfall

Does the job not sure how long it will last we”ll see but the sound of water is very relaxing, happy with my purchase and at a good price
