Bird Bath, Garden, Fish Tank, Pond Garden, DIY Water Feature
Created a little feature garden and needed a pump, used a Y piece adapter and jerried with flexible tubing (only had 12.5 maybe 7.5 would have been better) outlet is really small more than enough power for both outlets in good sun , the battery backup charges in poor sun and gives on/off supply. Not had long enough yet to check filters/longevity. Would recommend if you don’t have a large water demand.
I need more stones but have used a builders bucket (Wickes) sunk in with overflow outlet 1/2 way up to ensure you always hear trickling water.
Metal grate to hold the stones from Wickes.
Pipe and adapters from B&Q or local aquatic stores.
Good solar pump works well in my pond, it misses out on five stars as it’s very light and difficult to keep in position in my pond, (keeps drifting to the side), an attachable weight would be ideal.
The fountain is so simple to set up. I received it at 1530, it was in the pond and running at 1550 and it didn’t stop until 2130. When I got up next day at 0600 it was already on ( it was intermittent to start with). The only thing that could be improved on is being able to put the solar panel onto a post in order to get it higher. I would have given it 5 star if it had the option to mount on a post (or at least a spike). So after 1 day, it looks good but we’ll have to wait and see how it does in the longer term.
The fountain/pump works very well, and we were surprised at the height that some of the fountain attachments get to! However, what is frustrating is that the solar panel has very limited hanging ability, and the little props on it are obsolete. It would be better with hanging holes in each corner, not just at one end. Otherwise, it tinkles nicely 🙂
Perfect for my small wildlife pond.
However, it does not work in cloudy, rainy weather but I don’t think any solar panel pump would.
When the sun is shining it’s great.
Lightweight and really pretty.
Shame it’s hard to take the back off to clean out the pump.
However, overall, very pleased.
It’s a nice small fountain, we have it in a half tub, not a pond. Have to admit, it would have been nice to have the instructions in English, lots of languages, but no English, my husband sorted it out, we didn’t know whether to remove the white disc , but did, the battery stuck to that, we hadn’t seen anything like that before, the foundation came with different heads, so that was good. We’ve put the solar panel on our fence to get as much sun as possible, it runs up till about 8.00pm, even with no sun, from about 4.00pm, we’re pleased with our purchase.
Testing today in bright sunlight I was getting a consistent flow rate100ml/min at 1100mm head height which will be the max head I will be working to. Pump states it is 9v with a max head of 1.8m (I struggled to get over 1.3m but my tubing is narower than the outlet of the pump. There is a water sensor on the side of the pump (using capacitance sensor) which you can set off if you touch it when there is power to the pump. Weird absence of English instructions even thought the title of the small manual is in English. Overall not a bad little package, will see how it stands up to use in the outdoors. Will likely bring it in over winter.
I neede to replace an less powerful pump, that I had for a few years, providing I have sun, it works quite nicely, not too noisy either. Small enough to fit in small pond and hold down with a few large stones.
This is a good little pump but if you want the pump to sit in the water and have the spray on top of the water (fixed height) you need a pipe to support the spray head. If they just added a small plastic tube to support the sprayhead leaving the pump deep in the water you could do so much more with how you want the spray to work.
Had this just over 3 months and its stopped working?? Not sure if pump or solar panel is broken all is clean and clear so no reason for it to just stop, so im assuming its the motor has packed in?? How can i get just a new motor part/pump with cable to attache to solar panel without buying whole set??
I bought this pump to replace an existing electric one. The battery is an excellent addition as it keeps the pump working longer. It is easy to assemble and works very well with all attachments. It took me a while to get the required jet and look for my particular water feature, but that’s my problem not the pumps. I also have to finish positioning the solar panel on my fence for the correct orientation for maximum light benefit, but again that’s my issue not Aisitin’s. Good price too. Very pleased with my purchase.
This solar panel pump was bought to replace the poor quality solar panel that came with the water feature. The upgraded solar panel is so efficient it even works cloudy grey days. I am so impressed I would recommend this item without hesitation.
This fountain was bought to make a small water feature, which I built.
This video was the first draft just placed together quickly and I was happy so went on to put it together properly.
Well being in the perfect place meant then the jets got really high on the sprinkler attachment!
So I’m rethinking my pot design as per the photos, because it’s way better than I thought and the water spray goes higher and wider than planned, even using the wider pot at the top. I’ve put it on just the basic tube and that’s great for a gentle stream of water.
Picture 2 is its current state just bubbling away and picture 3 is how high the multi jet is going first thing this morning. It was working in the shaded part of the garden as well so copes very well with Just daylight unlike other models I’ve seen.
Well worth the money for one that works so well and is really versatile.
Will update photos with the finished article, but I am really pleased with the options.
I’ve used this in a small (1.3m x 0.72m) raised pond and it works fine. As soon as I connected it to the solar panel – in complete shade (see pic) – it started working. Other solar pumps I’ve seen require bright, direct sunshine so my early impression of this one is very positive.
The pump is very small so I don’t know how good it would be pumping water up any material height, but for small ponds (where it is designed to float) and birdbaths etc (where I dare say the suction feet might be useful) it’s just the job.
Very powerful with the nozzle so had to widen the holes with a rat tail file to stop it being too tall and splashing out of the fountain. The floating disc does not float 100% flat so added a small stone to level it up on the opposite site. Hanging screw holes supplied on solar panel as opposed to cable ties as shown. Does get blocked but easy to clean.
Small but strong. I use it in an old stone trough – about the size of a bathtub. The backup battery is a useful feature as it keeps the pump going if it clouds over. I have found that after a full day of sun it carried on working all night.
This was really easy to put together and worked immediately! Even works with no sunshine. Very impressed. I bought this for my small pond and am very happy.
Absolutely the best pump I’ve bought. Came with everything i needed and worked straight out of the box. I’ve one here, bought elsewhere, cost twice as much and doesn’t work! Will definitely buy from here again.
Brought this after a more expensive one decided to die after 3 hours. It was easy to install and the instructions were very clear. First day I used it was brilliant. It has a nice gentle spray and at 9 o’clock in the evening it is still working and there is no sun. Absolutely brilliant. Very pleased.
I bought this in April as a present which has just been opened. The pump took a while to work and we were really disappointed and concerned. Mercifully, it is now working!
The mains pump on my garden water feature failed so I thought I would try a solar pump. This little pump is powerful and reliable. I connected a short length of plastic pipe between the underwater pump and the jet and it has enhanced the water feature. It seems to work even when it’s cloudy. Highly recommended.
The pump works well and is powerful
unfortunatly my pump stopped working after a few months
the after sales was excellent and offered me a replacement or full refund.
Many thanks
Simple and a great working bit of kit.. straight out the box and plop straight in started straight up.. My pump is in a small natural pond that has no filter system so consequently its a bit murky from time to time thought the inlet may get clogged up eventually but no its going like trooper ! The large impressive solar panels in partial shade too and it still works. Its been on for a few months no problem.. delighted!
For a tiny pump it gives enough power to lift water 60cm up to my water feature spout so quite impressed. Can’t comment on reliabity of solar panel or battery because I have only just purchased it.
Solar panel is fair size and placed correctly the fountain last well after the sun has gone.
We give the pump a little rinse out now and then as gunk does get in there, so far all working well.
Tested solar fountain in a bucket and it worked fine. I was surprised how wide the water sprinkled. I got a bit wet and the water in the bucket had to be topped up I ended up not using the sprinklers for now.
we have a very small pond and at first the spray emptied the pond in about two hours. I drilled out the holes to reduce the height of the fountain and now it works to my satisfaction and does the job as intended
Very tiny pump, that is surprisingly powerful.
Comes with a selection of nozzles for different water effects, 5m of cable to the solar panel which has a built in battery.
Found the pump works well even on dull days, once the battery has charged. Thinking of purchasing another one for another small water feature.
I bought this to add to my pond to act as more of a feature than a means of circulation, my actual pump gave up the goose so I relied on this little guy, not only has it been able to keep the algae at bay but it’s managing to filter out most stuff as well till I get the main pump replaced.
Works well even on cloudy days, if it’s been sunny then the back up battery keeps it going for a good while after dark! If it lasts more than a single season then it’s worth 5
I’ve tried sometimes return numbers small pond pumps, none of which worked very well. But this one does. The inbuilt battery pumping when it dull. The floating platform makes it easy to use
Tiny filter easily blocked, causing the fountain to slow and diminish to practically nothing. This was tested on a freshly set up pond with no more than some dust floating in the water that I was not aware of.
Fantastic little water fountain has different ends to produce different effects. Super powerful for the size. Compact little design ideal for your own water feature or small pond .
This product still works even when the suns not out which makes it work most of the time even on cloudy days. The base is small which makes it difficult to stick it to something. Mine is on a glass upturned basin so that the suckers stick. Overall i would rate it 9 out of 10.
Just what I needed for my small water feature. Needs full sun to work all the time during the day but even when it’s cloudy it manages to work on and off. Please note it does not work between dusk and dawn. Great piece of kit.
Excellent for a small (tub sized) pond. Runs well on low light levels. Not suitable if you expect a large output from it, suitable for a small decorative display only.
Very easy to set up and quite powerful. I am using it as a pump for a water feature rather than a fountain and it works well even on dull days with the solar panel mounted on the fence at a 70 degree angle. Excellent value for money.
Excellent value and very efficient little solar pump. Doesn’t replace a mains powered one in terms of volume of water pumped but works well enough (via supplied fountain kit.. or if attached to a narrow bore plastic tube to run a trickle waterfall). Very happy with it for the price. Couldn’t be easier to install.
The pump does have to be cleaned out as bits do get sucked into it. Also it was going to be placed on an upended brick and would therefore not attach itself to it so I used an old black saucer. Having said that, it works all day even when the sun goes in unlike a more expensive one I have. I wouldn’t be sitting out on cold cloudy days so it’s perfect for my needs.
Because I already have a couple of these pumps in my small garden pond I knew that they functioned in poor light, so I bought it to replace an existing pump in a new water feature. The water feature now works all day instead of just when there is direct sunlight. An excellent purchase.
We changed the 6.5 battery because we got fed up if recharging the. Artery which then didn’t last very long.
We thought we’d give this solar pump a try and it’s worked a treat. Fingers crossed it lasts
This worked straight out of the box which is good. I was worried as husband normally does these things but lost him fairly recently and, had no working water feature last year so decided to risk this panel/pump and hoped it was simple to connect as most reviews show it being used as a fountain. Glad I ordered another one within half an hour to get the other feature working for when, if, the summer decides to arrive. This also arrived today! One day after ordering it! Only thing I miss is the other panel that came with the bird feature had an on/off switch at the back of the solar panel and this one doesn’t so have to take the pump out to stop it. Still chuffed with the simplicity of just sticking the tube that is attached to the flower feature onto the pump and off it went 🙂 If it allows, the other picture is the bird one that I want to get going next.
I use without the heads you can put on as it is so powerful it has emptied my pond on a windy day! Easy to clean and assemble, my old one still works but the power is reduced, it is 2 years old and been left outside for the whole time.
I first bought this three years ago for a home made water feature in my garden. Works great. I cleaned it every two weeks and it lasted for 2.5 years – which means I used it for two British summers – sadly it then would start to work then stop so I bought a new one for this year. I have had it up for two month and its working well, however this one does have a tendency to stop working for no reason i.e. its in full sun – I have to shake the wire and often it will come back on again – its a good price but don’t expect a full on stream of water, its a gentle flow
I’m pleased with the pump it has a very long lead on the sola panel and it even works on days when there is no sun .But it doesn’t like it wet then I am not sat by the pond in the rain , why not ? . Very happy (-:
I decided to put this fountain in to our small pond. Our garden can be shady at time so went with the upgraded version with the battery back up, though we have put the solar panel in a position where it gets sun all day.
Assembly was slightly tricky as you have to push quite hard to get the pump through the hole in the foam mat that floats on the water and into the sprinkler attachment, but wasn’t that difficult. Once done it’s very easy to change sprinkler attachment to one of your choice.
Installation is a doddle, place your solar panel in good spot, plug it into the pump and fountain attachment and drop into pond, easy!
It does produce a nice strong spray which I think is good enough for a small pond and looks nice in our garden.
Works better than expected. Connected the pump up to some tubing which I connected to an old watering can to act as a water feature. Good water flow. I like how the pump also stops working when it is not in water so that the motor does not burn out. I’ll update this review if I encounter any problems.
Overall I am pleased with this mini fountain that works well but, only when it is in direct sunlight. The back up battery appears to be non existent as it will stop working as soon as the sunlight moves.
When it is working it gives a nice flow, is unobtrusive and was very easy to assemble and install.
I recently purchased a rather expensive solar powered water feature from a garden retailer, but the solar panel had no battery backup, so if a cloud passed over the sun or once it was later afternoon the pump stopped working. Rather than having the hassle of sending it back, I was looking for a cost effective solution and found this solar panel and pump with battery back up. I was able to easily replace the water features existing pump with this and have been amazed at how good it is for the money. The pump works even on cloudy days and it will start up quite early in the morning and because of the integrated battery will carry on long after it is dark. What an excellent piece of kit!
Great when the filter is clean. Filter Is small so easily gets clogged up if the water is dirty. Doesn’t take much to clean filter but could do with something outside of it.
Used for a large 4 tier water feature using an additional 3m long pipe. Gives a lovely slow trickle effect. Couldn’t try fountains as different fitment required to fit pipe to fountai
I’ve spent quite a bit on more of the higher range solar pumps with batteries, all of which haven’t worked great and stopped working quite quickly. Got this to keep a bit of water movement until I can look at getting electric in the garden. Pleasantly surprised with how well it works! Better than the ones I’ve spent 100+ on!
It seems to work well in cloudy overcast weather, can be slightly intermittent first thing in the morning (sprays every 20 seconds or so). I have another floating solar pump and that needs full sun, slightest cloud or dirt on the panel and it doesn’t work but this one runs well when there’s no sun whatsoever. I’m not sure how much the battery pack works but I’ve been really impressed with how well it works dependent on weather, so much so I’ve just bought another.
My only gripe is that it doesn’t fit too well around the ring, as I’m wanting to move water around in a small raised pond the direct spray upwards isn’t helpful but I’ve balanced a stone on the floating ring so that it sprays at an angle.
I wanted a strong solar water pump to make my own water feature. I didn’t need the fountain attachments that came with the pump but I did try them out and I can say they are very effective. I added a short piece of flexible pipe to the pump to make a more natural water feature that I was going for and I’m over the moon with the results.
The pump is extremely easy to use and is more powerful than its small size let’s on.
Good little solar pump .
Had a plug in water fountain which I wanted to put somewhere else in the garden and run it for free so put this solar panel one in after seeing my sons (he has the same one for his pond )
Great thing about it is …it has a built in back up battery so when the sun goes behind clouds it doesn’t cut out it just keeps on going .
Thoroughly dislike being chased for a review before even out of the box as a generalisation. Now that this has been set up and run a few times I can say this fits the bill. Far better than the pump supplied with a cascading water feature and hope it lasts better .
Perfect soon as you attach the pump to the solar panel.
I have three water features and this pump is by far the best..powerful and no noise.
UPDATE …..
Had the pump now for 6 weeks it’s been going great but the pipe connection part has snapped off so basically it’s useless now 32 down the swanney and being after 30 days I cant send it back even if it does have a valid guarantee.
Easy to set up and looked lovely for the 2 mo this that it worked ! Tried to contact company but no joy would like a refund or replacement but don’t know how to go about i
It’s very small but it ms powerful to make a lovely trickling waterfall in my new pond. It’s does work in bright conditions even if thin clouds where the sun is is trying to burst out. I have positioned the solar panel on the top of the garage facing south, it’s has stored enough energy to keep going after dust (on a sunny day) it’s exceeded my expectations
Brilliant fountain for our wildlife pond. Had many of the smaller ones over the years and all been disappointing and failed after a short period. Decided to take the plunge and order a more expensive one with a much larger solar panel. Very glad we did. We live in North East Aberdeenshire, so don’t always get blazing sunshine! But even on cloudy days it works well enough. We’ve had it all winter now and not even had to take it out when the water has been iced over. These photos were taken on 19th February, as you can see the fountain is excellent. We’re using it with the floating pad attachment. Price was good, delivery fast. Overall very happy with it and would definitely recommend.
This is my third solar pump. I know. Not a great advert for them. The first gave up after a year. The second 2 weeks and now I have this one.
The great feature is the battery so when you loose the sun the pump still runs. I’d love to see a better mounting position for the pump but even laying flat it’s getting g enough light to work
Created a little feature garden and needed a pump, used a Y piece adapter and jerried with flexible tubing (only had 12.5 maybe 7.5 would have been better) outlet is really small more than enough power for both outlets in good sun , the battery backup charges in poor sun and gives on/off supply. Not had long enough yet to check filters/longevity. Would recommend if you don’t have a large water demand.
I need more stones but have used a builders bucket (Wickes) sunk in with overflow outlet 1/2 way up to ensure you always hear trickling water.

After sales spot on after a month battery wasnt holding charge so they gave me full refund thank u
Works well could do with a bit more power but decent for price
So easy to use . I have it in me dogs pool and he loves it .
Would recommend and buy again . Easy to assemble good suction .

Great pump even in overcast weather it still performs well
Easy to use and set up. Works well even when cloudy. Reliable.
My old pump stopped working. This one works better in dull sunlight, gives a good flow and looks like it is well made.

Works well as it’s small and light if used floating it will drif
Excellent product worked straight from the box, easy to set up.
The size is fantastic to run my hand made water fountain,
No noise,and powerful
Great little pump. Runs my water feature with very minimal sunlight. The battery back up really helps.
Very powerful with the nozzle so had to widen the holes with a rat tail file to stop it being too tall and splashing out of the fountain. A nice gentle fountain of water on our water feature.
Easy to setup, just bought a big plastic planter n put stones n and water “cascades” over stones

I used this pump to flow water from the pond to tilted water can to create a cycle of water feature, it works well when sunny.
working really well even when the sun is not on it , i would buy agai
Nothing to dislike, bought a second one for another pond as we were so pleased.
I was a bit dubious after buying other solar powered fountains but this one is great , even works with cloudy skys.
we have a very small pond and at first the spray emptied the pond in about two hours. I drilled out the holes to reduce the height of the fountain and now it works to my satisfaction and does the job as intended

Don’t expect too much. It’s been working away well since purchasing. It’s fine for very small pond
Easy to instal, working very well, lifting water 800mm with ease,
So far very pleased.
solar , battery and power is brilliant, works on my pond very well, even in bad weathe

Tiny filter easily blocked, causing the fountain to slow and diminish to practically nothing. This was tested on a freshly set up pond with no more than some dust floating in the water that I was not aware of.
Absolutely superb item completely as described and does exactly as required.
Works in full sun or cloudy days so well worth the price!
It is so easy to create a small pond fountain or water feature.
Excellent for a small (tub sized) pond. Runs well on low light levels. Not suitable if you expect a large output from it, suitable for a small decorative display only.
I used this solar fountain pump for my garden decoration as shown in picture. Decent rate of flow. I hope it will last for a while.
Works my water feature wonderfully, and with the battery backup works when it is cloudy
Started working as I took it out the box. Don’t need full sun for it to work. Great little pump
Very good buy. Still working in the gloomy day. Perfect!
Really good fountain . Batery makes sure it continues intermittently throughout the day as quite small amounts of light charge it up.
Love this fountain. Easy to assemble and just what we wanted for our water feature
The original solar pump l had with my water feature was useless so I bought Aisitin6.5 and it’s really good l would thoroughly recommend it.
Works better than expected. Connected the pump up to some tubing which I connected to an old watering can to act as a water feature. Good water flow. I like how the pump also stops working when it is not in water so that the motor does not burn out. I’ll update this review if I encounter any problems.
Easy to setup. Not sure how long it will last though as never bought a solar powered pump before
Overall I am pleased with this mini fountain that works well but, only when it is in direct sunlight. The back up battery appears to be non existent as it will stop working as soon as the sunlight moves.
When it is working it gives a nice flow, is unobtrusive and was very easy to assemble and install.
Just right for my patio pond. Works even when the sun is hiding
Perfect – delivery was quick, well packed – only a couple of days in so hopefully it lasts
Bought for homemade water feature. Working very well even though sun is not bright today.
Best of the four replacements I’ve bought .. each other one has broken in days of installing
Brilliant little pump, I inherited a old butler sink in my garden and I’ve turned it into a little pond
Tried to contact company but no joy would like a refund or replacement but don’t know how to go about i
Pleased with this solar fountain it works well, this is the second one I have in the garden.
Easy to assemble and install
After couple of weeks of usage I am fairly satisfied with the purchase. Works fine even when it is cloudy.
