Brilliant bit of kit for the price. Nice little trickle when it’s cloudy, but really comes to life when the sun comes out. The birds love sitting under it, definitely recommend

It didn’t work at first but followed the tips in the product support and it needed to be held upside down under water to get the air bubbles out! Nice little fountain that only works when sun is out but not usually outside when it isn’t sunny anyway!

my fault but the fountain did not have lights and only works when sun’s out as it does not store power.. my fault as I did not read the information properly but still does a good job when the sun is out.. so not very much

This is amazing 🙂 We placed it in a small pond on a dull day (raining actually) and it immediately began to function with a lovely little spray. Surprised it didnt need sunshine. Excellent value and lovely effect.

This is a jolly neat little device that does the job well. The problem is, it does it too well, so you do need a wide container to put it in because it will empty most others. It comes with several choices of jet or fountain, all of which do send water splashing outside the container if it’s too small. We’re now looking for something like a wide bowl, perhaps two feet or more. The helpful straws do keep it in the middle, but even with them extended, the container has to be even wider than that.

Having tried similar products over the past few years, I am most impressed with this one. Others have only held their charge for a short period, this one has worked all day, every day since purchase, in spite of the lack of sunshine over recent weeks! Definitely recommend product.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIt’s small yet so powerful. It works when the sun is out. Had it outside in a large plate singe we do not have a pond. It made a fun day with our little one who run around and jumped over it. It looks beautiful as well if you put it on top of a bush – you get your own green fountain.

It runs well. It spurts in pulses rather than provides a continuous flow unless its a really sunny day, but you know what? For the money, it’s great and it’s a bit of fun. If you want a grand flowing continuous fountain then you need to spend more but this a great little item and in the sunshine, it’ll surprise you.

Easy to get up and running, does only work in the sunshine but that’s made clear in the description so if you want continuous water flow it not for you. Fingers crossed we’ll actually get some sunshine this year. Fits nicely into my little wildlife pond to add a bit of interest, I like the sound of trickling water it’s relaxing. I’m pleased with my purchase and brill price.

This little water fountain it so cool.
It comes with several different fountain attachments, which is great as some can squirt really quite high, and when it’s windy that can mean the water blows over the edge of the container.
It also comes with 4 ‘straws’ which are used to ensure that it doesn’t float too close to the side of your water container.
We had it in a bird bath initially, quite a decent sized bird bath, and it was great!
When the sun shines directly onto it, it sprays wonderfully well.
When the sun goes behind a cloud, the spray dips and pulses. So if you are looking for something that will always have the fountain going, even in cloud, this might not be for you.

Unfortunately, my Mum spotted it, and has decided that she’d like to have it for her garden, so I have handed it over to her and she loves it. Her little garden is perfect for it!

Use this product in a bird bath.Had to secure it in the middle of the bath because if it floats to the side it throws the water over the side.

Wind blows it around, and as such a lot of the cascade goes over the edge of the bird bath. This can empty the bird bath in an hour. I’ve had to centralise the fountain with pebbles, it has helped.

This fountain can produce good height when the sun shines on it. It’s nice to sit and listen to the water splashing sounds.
Needs a deep large water container otherwise the water will soon spurt out and about around the garden. I put pot plants around my fountain and then any water shooting over the sides waters the plants and isn’t wasted.

Read various reviews about this and similar products. Chose this one because it was mid range for price. Only assembly needed is choosing which nozzle to use and fixing it in place. Bought a shallow planter and lined it to serve as a home made pond. Realised I should probably have chosen a water feature with the fixing straws as it did float to the edge initially. The attached suction cups on the bottom are useless even though my pond has a rubber lining and is shallow. While the plants were happy with a bonus watering, it meant I had to keep refilling. But after changing the nozzle for one that sprays less (I just use the single jet now) and using decorative pebbles to fix it in place, the problem seems to be solved. My bedroom is on the ground floor and it is lovely to hear the sound of water when the window is open. I also think it looks great. Mine works in partial sunlight not as powerfully as in full but there is still flow. So in summary, a good buy, but a star off for lack of anything effective to fix it in place.

This little fountain worked as soon as I popped it on the water. Wanted something to move the water around in my little whisky barrel container pond. I found the attachments to be too powerful in spraying water upwards (although looked super cool!). Unfortunately, it meant too much water was being lost from my little pond. So I just removed the attachments and it still works great as a little water fountain. The underneath filter bit might get a little sludgy now and then, but you can easily clean it off so it works better. Well worth the money and has helped make our pond a lovely feature.

Love this little gadget. Arrived promptly, worked literally as soon as it was out of the box, has a great effect on our little pond, DOES need full constant sunlight to work continuously, but our pond is in the sun most of the day anyway. It spurts intermittently when not in full sunbut that just adds to the appeal ! Our main pump/fountain gets clogged with silt, we are reluctant to clean all that out of the bottom of the pond because of the newts. This is great just bobbing along on the surface. Love it!

I have not added any of the fountain pieces as it’s for my bird bath and when I use on of the several pieces you get it empties the bath, although it looks beautiful the birds end up with no water. 5 stars, works straight out of the box, just needs sunshine. I stuck mine to a little tapas plate to sink it. It has a float that can be removed if you prefer for it to float and move around. Go on! Buy one, what great joy from such a little expense to create a different feature in your garden.

Golden Review Award: 102 From Our UsersI bought this water feature then bought the bird bath which wasn’t wide enough to collect the water as it fell so I was constantly refilling only because it was so pretty to look at , also it watered the plants nearby . The minute the sun hit it , you could feel it vibrating and after a few seconds the water began to sprinkle up . I need to find a wider bowl to place it in . The suction pads were good but it did tend to float in the wind. I would recommend this for great value for money& so simple to set up .

Don’t expect some Vegas style fabulous fountain of a display but if you like the tranquility of the tinkle of water in some sunny corner of the garden then I’d recommend this solar feature. It has sturdy suction cups on the bottom, was simple to asdble, came with a good variety of nozzles for different water displays and it fit nicely in our little bird bath. Golden Review Award: 149 From Our UsersAlthough I appreciate that they are intended for decorative purposes, I bought three of this solar fountain as a temporary fix when my fishpond pump packed up a couple of days before I was due to go away. However, I have been so impressed by their performance that I am yet to find a more permanent solution. They chug along from dawn til dusk in the dullest of weather conditions but the height the fountains reach when the bases are in bright sunlight is astonishing. I just love watching these solar fountains glide across the pond propelled by currents created by the wind and the fish. Utterly charming. All they need to keep them working efficiently is an occasional swill in clean water to remove any accumulated dirt and slime so enabling the solar panels to collect sunlight.

Arrived on time, easy to set up. I expected it to be a trickle but it’s regularly 1 or 2 foot jets of water, depending on the sunlight. After 2 weeks my pond water was completely clear and I’ve got perfect view of the newts! I’ve had it about 2 months now and it’s still going strong so far. You just have to keep the top part cleared with a pin to make sure the water flows easily. I’d definitely recommend!

Golden Review Award: 145 From Our UsersNeat little fountain, works exactly as is advertised. For the price it is very well made and looks robust, time will tell if I get the life expectancy from it.
Each spray head has good pattern to it, even the single hole is attractive. The battery pulses when it is a bit cloudy, so you only get continuous water when the sun is fully out. Then when it is in full sun it works so well the height of the water jet goes so high that you end up loosing water out of your container, which obviously isn’t a problem if you use it in a large pond, but to use it in a bird bath for example you will have to top up the water about four times a day.

Golden Review Award: 153 From Our UsersNow that the summer is over and I ‘ve had a few months of using this, I thought it was time to write the review. I am very impressed with how this little fountain worked in my bird table. When the sun was directly on it, the fountain was tall and strong. In the shade it was a little less so after a while but still managed to produce something that didn’t resemble an incontinent mouse having a wee. The choice in nozzles allows you to find the right style fountain for the container its sat in and they’re very easy to clean when they become clogged (which only happened to mine because the birds were bathing lots and the water was getting mucky). Only issue I had was getting the suckers on the bottom to stick to my bird bath base (plastic) but this was down to the bath itself, not the unit. I improvised by placing a piece of marble off an old cheese board in first then sticking the fountain base to that. Really pleased with it overall and it’s packed away ready to come out again in the Spring 🙂

I must admit this fountain is very good, the only problem with it is that I cannot find a dish big enough, as the fountain spouts out all the water and the containers empty very quickly. Then it makes a noise. I am open to any suggestions in something I can put this in where the water that is pumped out stays contained in the dish and not spurt all over the patio.

Golden Review Award: 134 From Our UsersAdditional note, it was entirely my fault about the cover on the top. It was just that, a cover! My apologies to the seller. I’ve had a solar fountain before and the previous one lasted for some time. Although the new fountain is good and active in regards to being a water fountain, I can see the solar cover on the top is already letting water in and lifting even, though the fountain remains on top of the water surface. I’ve found the suckers on this item never worked but then it didn’t on my previous fountain either, they’re too small and a general fault with all it would seem.

Used in a shallow fire pit bowl containing water as a water-feature. Successfully held the solar panel under water with a few large stones. Creates a satisfying sound using the smaller head attachment. It starts with small spurts and builds up to a constant fountain as the sun becomes more direct. This one had all the pieces unfortunately the instruction pamphlet on how to clean out the pump and other trouble shooting was only in German, Italian, Spanish and French but the pack I returned had instructions in English. The fountain needs to be set up correctly as it seems to work better in water 50mm or more deep also a reasonably wide container or pond is best as small water catchment area’s tend to lose water levels from the fountain spray.

Easy to assemble and worked well! It doesn’t ‘save up’ solar energy so that the fountain will work out of the sun but when in full sun or partial shade it worked well. Not sure how to tether it down as it’s hard to stop the fountain bobbing around the pot resulting in the water being thrown out. However, we’ve found that just having the short thin nozzle on produces a nice sound for when we just want the background noise in the garden. Just had people around and they were impressed!

Golden Review Award: 134 From Our UsersGot this as a cheap and cheerful alternative to spending fortune on solar water feature, it does work well in direct sunlight, the spray actually goes up surprisingly high too so if the wind catches it will go with it, it gets few clouds or not solid sun and it will get a little sporadic but for under 15 who cares! Works well enough for a little budget item and seen birds and now snails happily relaxing on side of tub getting mini showers

The only downside is when you put it in a birdbath with the water spraying upwards if there is any wind some of the water tends to be blown over board and is therefore lost, and if this happens very soon the bird bath will be emptied of water! Obviously when used in a pond this isn’t a problem, but with a bird bath you have only a small amount of water in the first place, so any loss soon makes a difference. Because of this I found I can only use the short open nozzle, which just produces a short column of water, this falls back into the bird bath and nothing is lost, whereas with the spray nozzle the water level falls very quickly. I’m not sure what will happen if there is no water left, as I didn’t let it get to that stage, but I could imagine the pump might be damaged if no water was passing through it.

Golden Review Award: 173 From Our UsersThe reason I say this fountain is good but a bit too good is because when the full sun hits it, the fountain is surprisingly powerful. I put this fountain in my birdbath expecting a pleasant little trickle of water and was surprised when a high jet of water shooted out of it – it was so powerful that the water sprayed over the side of the birdbath emptying it within minutes!
I ended up taking it out of the birdbath for this reason, but this fountain would be excellent if you have a good sized pond.
The fountain only works properly in full sun. If there’s any bit of shadow cast on it, the fountain stops working and it coughs out odd splashes of water as it struggles to work properly. The other thing to consider is that the fountain floats and because the little engine vibrates, it causes the fountain to move around. If you put this in a pond it would be a good idea to weigh it down with a rock and some string to stop it floating off into the murky shadows…
Overall it’s a clever bit of tech for good sized ponds but not suitable for small birdbath.

Golden Review Award: 169 From Our UsersWas hesitant after some reviews but went for it, glad I did!! Easy to put together, several sprays to choose from & easy to change about. As you can see the birds like it lol this was just minutes after putting it in my bird bath. Only negative is that it’s very lightweight which is okay if you put it in a pond and don’t mind it floating around. Also the sucker pads are pointless if putting into a concrete bird bath as it won’t stick so took them off to get the pump to stay under the required amount of water. Very pleased with it and definitely recommend this one over others as it has a 2.5v pump instead of a 1v pump.

Worth the money, easy to assemble and the birds love it!!

Golden Review Award: 42 From Our UsersReally like this addition to our decking area. The sound of the water is so restful. However just one niggle. The water goes so high that it splashes onto the wood so we’ve placed it in a larger bowl and on the ground in front of the area. There is no way to adapt the height of the fountain spray unless you have only an inch of water in the bowl.

Golden Review Award: 157 From Our UsersThis makes a nice floating fountain for an outside water feature. It can be added to even small water features and it will float on the surface of the water or u can use the suction pads underneath to stick it to the inside of your water feature if it is a shallow basin or dish shape. It has 6 different nozzles that u can put on to the top to create different spray patterns with the water. How high the water goes in the air depends how much sun u get, but if u put in full sun position in your garden then it will work the best and charge up the solar panel on the flat area. U dont need any other electricity to power the pump, it works purely on solar energy. The pump wont be noisy when working but the water will make a trickling noise, some people find this relaxing and other people say it makes them need a wee all the time. Its a good addition to a bird bath or for a large drinking bowl that your pet can drink out of as animals usually prefer to drink from slightly moving water.

Golden Review Award: 105 From Our UsersLovely little fountain. Any type of shadow stops it from working or makes the water not go as high. However when in full sun it creates a beautiful atmosphere.
