These are the first noise cancelling headphones I’ve bought and I’m very pleased with them.

I got them mainly for our summer holiday flights so didn’t want to spend a fortune and with the q20’s on offer at the time I bought it was a no brainer.

I am very impressed with the sound quality and the noise reduction – makes watching films or listening to music on the plane so much better. I would say they easjly block 90-95% of sounds on the plane: a couple of times I could vaguely hear that there were announcements being made, but couldn’t make out the words. When you take them off your head on the plane and the noise hits you again, you really know what a good job they are doing.

Soundwise, I prefer them with the noise cancelling turned on as it reduces the bass. If you like the heavier bass though, the bass boost feature is available.

They were also very comfortable – it was only a 2 and half hour flight, but I kept them on the whole time with no problems. I’m not sure about the fit for children though as I’ve got them on smallest head band position – a smaller head than mine and they wouldn’t fit.

I’ve used them at home in the garden as well and they do a great job of blocking road noise and the neighbours lawn mower.

Battery life seems very good, I’ve only had to charge once since having them.

The control buttons are in logical positions and so make sense when using – obviously I didn’t read the manual first before trying them, but could just put on and use.

I also chose the q20’s over the other Anker headphones because of the appearance – I didn’t like the large gold or silver logos on the q30 and q40 whereas these are plain black.

If I were able to buy again I would go for the q20i version just to get the usb-c charging port, app support and multilink pairing which the basic q20 doesn’t have.

In conclusion though: very happy with them and well worth the money!

Bought these because an old set of JVC headphones would not pair with an “old” smartphone (whatever resets etc I tried) which I wanted to use an MP3 player.
The headphones also needed to be relatively compact so that they could fit in my holiday, take on plane backpack.
Chose Anker because I have been very pleased with the Anker Soundcore Mini I bought a few years ago.
Anyway, the Anker Q20, paired up with no problem with all my Bluetooth products. They are also compact enough, when folded for my backpack requirements. The sound for me is brilliant. I prefer the normal sound setting, to the default noise cancelling. More bass, that suits my ears better.
I’m no audiophile, and maybe my hearing isn’t 100%, but I cannot think why a 300 set of headphones would sound any better for me.
For me, they are also very comfortable.
    A good buy for me.

I’ve used these regularly for a few weeks now and must say i am impressed. Sound is good, Bluetooth reliable, battery life all good and they are light and easy enough to use. I have tried more expensive noise-cancelling headphones and been disappointed – so i was surprised and pleased when these worked so well.

I’ve used this Headphone for few months now and it’s been fantastic. I can zone in to my work and ignore everyone in the house lol. It’s great for having some good music on and forgetting tue outside world. So far the battery life has been really good (around 20-25 hours with the ANC on) and Bluetooth connection is solid, I haven’t experience any spotty connections so far. I don’t necessarily walk around the house with it on but when I have it kept the connection going. I used the microphone couple of times on meetings and voice is crisp. All around great headphone for working from home time to time. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI wasn’t really sure what to expect from these so called “budget” headphones. I already own a pair of JBL Live 650BTNC headphones – which cost 120 when new. So the benchmark was quite high. I needed an extra pair at work. I work in a busy shared office – so wanted the noise cancelling feature – but without spending a fortune. After reading lots of reviews the Anker Q20 came out as top choice, with 58K reviews on Amazon alone. At 36 – I thought its a low risk since I can always return the item if I’m not happy with it.
Once I received it, I opened the box – it was well packaged. Its fairy light with good soft padding and all the buttons are in the usual places. The muffs fit comfortably over the ears without too much pressure. I managed to pair it instantly to my Mac via bluetooth – but it took a bit more fidgeting on my work PC which runs Windows 11. So…the real question is how good is the sound?
I need not have worried. The sound is much, MUCH better than I had expected. Its rich, warm, fairly crisp and slightly bass-heavy at the default settings. So if you like bass – you’re in for a treat. Guitar and drum sounds are loud and there is a noticeable, audible boom on the drums. Vocals are not quite in your face – they seem to be ever so slightly in the background. Classical music works really well too – very clean. Flute sonatas sound scarily realistic – it feels like the flute is being played right next to you. If you listen to Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor, the deep organ sound reverbs through your head!
The noise cancelling is reasonably effective. It blocks out background office chatter and traffic noise from outside.
There is not much else to say – except that for the money, you get a VERY good pair of headphones. The Q20 may not be “up there” with the big boys if you’re a picky audiophile – but if you want a pair of very good headphones for using at work – these actually exceed expectation.

These do actually reduce the noise pretty well. I’ve used them in noisy airports/planes.

When used in conjunction with earplugs they actually reduce loud snoring from partner to acceptable level to sleep .

ANC doesn’t exactly blow my mind if I’m completely honest with you. It makes a slight difference, as I’ve tested it on and off. But I wouldn’t say it’s a defining feature of the headphones. That doesn’t mean that these headphones don’t drown out background noise. I would actually say that it does an exceptional job of it. But from what I can tell, the ANC doesn’t make that huge of a difference.

I’m very impressed with the quality of phone calls I’ve had using these headphones. Before I got these, I was using Earfun pros, and the phone calls never worked, even when they were fresh out of the box. There’s no delay, you can hear the other person’s voice nice and clear, and if I were to guess so can they, as no one has complained about noise quality from their end. So I’m very happy with this feature.

Overall, Very comfortable and affordable headphones. Battery life is exceptional. I’ve been using them now for about 2 weeks, and that’s off of one charge. I use them most mornings when working. Everything about them is what I would look for in headphones. I can’t attest to the sturdiness, or life span. However, I would say that I wouldn’t want to drop them on the floor, as they don’t feel like the most indestructible things ever. That would be my only negative. And maybe a better quality carrying case,, as the one it comes with is pretty lame.. The sound and over all comfort of these are of good quality. If you’re in a tight budget, and need something quick, I’d highly recommend these. If you’re someone who has a bit more money to throw around, then get a more expensive brand that has the potential to last longer.

Excellent value headphone but the Q20 lacks the multipoint Bluetooth, phone app and usb-c charging of the newer Q20i. When both of these models are roughly the same price 40 then always but the Q20i, will keep these as backups.

I really like the soundcore by Anker Q20 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones. I feel great over my ears and sound is awesome. One thing I don’t like is not easily discoverable via Bluetooth, else it’s PERFECT!

Sound quality and noise cancellation are amazing on these earphones. Used on an aeroplane, in a busy airport and whilst on holiday. Absolutely blown away by the value. I searched and searched for a pair of headphones, across all of the top brands, and went for these on a bit of a whim because I have had other products from this brand. I’m so glad that I did because they are so good.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHi, I work outside as a groundsman. So I need a pair of headphones that stands up to wear and tear has a good battery life and I can hear over my loud mower. Five stars on all of the above plus the battery life is amazing. The Bluetooth connection is so good it’s a pain. The headphones can be at the other end of the house or in my truck and there still connected. The best pair of headphones for work use I own in fact their so good I have two pairs.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOnly use these when we travel on planes and this set was to replace my previous ones. The sound reduction quality to get rid of the engine noise is great. No more headaches or yuk feeling when on long flights from the droning engine noise. Also good quality sound when connected to the inflight entertainment. Will probably buy this again if and when my wife’s current set need replacing. Would be nicer if there came with a hard case but they for great in the case we already had.

Product has worked fine for 10 months and that is not constant use, but the Bluetooth Radio adaptor has been plugged into a computer for that time and it is that item that has failed, therefore the headphones are no longer of any use.
