Cheap product you will need to order a hard drive which is easy to install
Purchased to replace an old 1080p 2 camera system. Added a 2tb hard drive which was very easy especially if you are used to upgrading PCs etc. Some niggles as follows…
1. Meant to be able to use QR code during installation to set up Annke Vision app on your Android phone. This didn’t work and just came up with some random software from Google Play. Typing the app name in search box in Goggle Play didn’t work either but finally found it on the Annke website. App is ok although is a pain that you can’t see up the 4 cameras and have it remember that each time you load the app. You have to manually add the 4 cameras each time.
2. You can access the system via a browser which is great as it means you don’t have to use the DVR software and can do it from a pc or laptop anywhere in the house (so in theory could stick the DVR out of the way, even in the loft). However, you can only use Internet Explorer, which obviously isn’t supported anymore, so not ideal. Has the same issue as the app in that doesn’t remember your preferred live view (in my case 4 cameras).
3. A really minor point but the cameras have grey cables, the supplied BNC cables are white and the power splitter cable they plug into is black. Not good for my OCD !.
4. Fan on the box is very noisy , we have put it in the spare bedroom so not a problem, but I might try and change it at some point. ** UPDATE ** Its not the fan that is noisy, with the top off its fairly quiet, so must be the design of the case when its drawing air through the case.
Other than that the system seems pretty good for the price, picture quality is much better than my old system, especially at night. Comes with 4 long BNC cables, a cheap usb mouse, an HDMI cable and a network cable. Also has a remote control, not used that yet though.
If you are looking for a decent CCTV system at a reasonable price then you can’t go wrong
