So many different setting good clue for money would highly recommend this
Ok, it’s more expensive than a lot of fans but I decided to give it a go.
Out of the box everything was sturdy and easy to assemble.
The remote is a nice touch, it has limited range but how far away do you want to be.
Up to about 2/3rds power it is very quiet, yes you can hear it but it is a lot quieter than other fans I’ve had. At higher power it increases in noise but is still a lot quieter than other fans I’ve had.
I just use basic functions but it can oscillate side to side and has different settings to simulate a natural breeze etc. I’m not convinced I will use these but others might.
Overall I’m happy I spent a bit extra to get a well built quieter fans with the remote and would buy it again if I needed another.
This is the second of these fans I have ordered. Nothing wrong with the first one, I just wanted another for the spare bedroom as it makes such a difference to quality of sleep on these hot nights. Best money I have ever spent. Quality fan, clear directions for putting it together.
Great fan for a bedroom, fan speeds of 5 and below are silent and give a gentle breeze and as the display turns off after a few seconds, it becomes a very stealthy fan. It’s also powerful when you need it to be, it might be marginally quieter than other fans, but as the higher settings it’s still noisy, as you’d expect it to be.
This is my favourite fan for the fact it has 26 speeds. It can sound like a gimmick, but I can never go back to 3 speed fans now. Even 10 would be good but 3 is limiting, and you don’t realise it until you experience this. Being able to be so granular with what speed you have is very nice.
The timer is also decent, being both a timer to turn off AND a timer to turn on, and going in half hour increments.
The fan modes I find a bit useless. The breeze one is okay but the others are basically pre-set speeds.
Had one fan for over 2 years so bought another. Even though I hadn’t heard of Ansio, it seems decent.
My only issues are that it can creek and make noises when turning, and the plastic frame that clips the two halfs of the “frame” together is fragile, so on my older fan I had to secure them together with cable ties. Also wouldn’t have minded the base to have some better flat edges or some holes to be able to mount or insert wheels. The base (underneath) isn’t flat.
I did a lot of thinking before I bought this one because of the price. But so pleased I got fed up comparing all the different models and just went for it.
What a great buy! I’ve now had it for over a week and checked out all the different modes on it . the silent one too!! Like them all, and love the remote control too! I don’t think there’s a better fan than this one about.
I thought the 26 speed levels was ridiculous, hit it’s perfect, especially when finding a balance on hot nights between the power and noise level. Great remote, solid build, quiet even at higher speeds.
Fan, one blade out of alignment and the whole fan hub off centre.
It does its job very well. Is silent for sleep and circulates air very well on the higher settings.
Other potential buyers asked if this fan is worth the extra money, unequivically I’d say yes, a far superior product.
Unfortunately although ANSIO have taken great care with best materials and a fantastic design with good solid quality, (and it looks it) the manufacuring process is not rigorous enough.
I ordered the first one but found it was making a (very slight) rubbing noise as the motor turned; like a cable somewhere inside was rubbing. Unfortunately this was obtrusive when in silent mode (trying to sleep). So I ordered a replacement and low and behold it had the same problem albeit less obtrusively but also had the fan mounting slightly askew on this one so the whole unit wobbled and vibrated. Both these faults were slight, but bad enough to be annoying.
I kept the first one and put up with the noise (I would NOT have kept the second one). Even this withstanding, I have rated the product 4-star. Still worth the money.
Easy to assemble, very quiet, remote is useful.
This fan has 26 speeds and 5 modes, it is well built and sturdy, the extra fan blades push a good volume of air around and it has been super useful in the few hot weeks we have a year.
This fan is one of the best I have ever co me accross
Just bought a second one of these for my elderly father.
It’s pricey, superficially, but has multiple blades and I assume that’s how it can shift air more quietly.
We can have it on overnight whilst sleeping without it making too much noise to sleep through.
It has a speed range from 1-26 in steps and this can be set on the fan itself with a rotary touch sensitive dial like an old iPod or a handy remote control, (handy from across the room or when you’re in bed in the dark. )
It assembles (& disassembles for car transport if needed) easily and just seems solid and well made.
It has a timer as well on the remote and various other modes which can vary the speed of airflow mimicking a variable breeze which I don’t bother with tbh, but they’re there if you want them.
You can alter the vertical angle of air flow manually which has about 5 different angle options on a ratchet and you can also of course, have it pivot automatically in a horizontal arc if wanted or you can turn that off and have it blowing in one direction constantly.
Finally, a knob on the shaft allows some adjustment of the height of the fan blades.
Overall excellent if you can bear the cost.
Have had this on my wishlist for 2 years, my old fan started rattling so decided to finally purchase. The fan was easy to assemble only looked at the instructions when it was built. In use the fan is quiet even on 26 it is no louder than the old fan on 3, or the fans on my PC running full speed. The remote could have been a bit smaller , but a fan with a remote wonderful.
The fan has 5 modes, 1 manual where you can set the speed and 4 presets. The presets are silent I believe it is the lowest setting, night preset, one that simulates the breeze and lastly one the runs till the room temp is 20C. It also has a timer to control startup, and shutdown, along with an oscillate function. All the functions can be controlled from the supplied remote.
Just Buy it!
If you are a bit iffy like I was you might miss out on what is clearly the best fan available.
I read two things that nearly put me off.
When you change the speed there is a loud BEEP!
Not any more!!! This company clearly reads its reviews because there is now a circular dial that is silent.
Second the LED display stays on all night well the fan is in use.
Not anymore it now goes off after 1 minute.
The 9 blade fan is super strong on 26. As expected it makes a noise but honestly it’s a fan. At 15 its virtually soundless.
The remote is just amazingly amazing because I obviously I don’t need to get up to turn it off or on or swivel or even set the timer to auto switch off.
34 degrees and I couldn’t stand it anymore 115.00 is just stupid money for a fan but right now it was worth every single penny.
This is my second Ansio pedestal fan. The first one (an earlier model) is still doing stalwart duty cooling the bedroom after over a year of almost daily use (I am a woman of a certain age, and am prone to the occasional “personal summer”, so it has been a godsend). This one is for my home office, and is even better:
It has 26 speeds, that are set via a clicky, iPod-style rotary disc on the fan or the remote. No more button bashing through a 1-8 speed cycle, or beeping every time you adjust the fan speed! You can choose the precise speed # you want via the display, or you can just silently scroll up or down to something that feels right.
The automated modes are pretty ingenious and actually useful:
I like the natural mode that varies the speed. This is great for when you are warm, but don’t want to have your eyes dried to a crisp in a constant hurricane, such as when staring at a screen all day. The sleep mode reduces the speed of the fan three times over a 90 minute period, down to a continual low setting, which is perfect for when you go to bed too warm, but know you will cool off as you fall asleep. Comfort mode sets the speed based on the temperature of the room, and will shut the fan off completely at 20C. The usual timer is also included, allowing you to set a stopping point up to 13 hours ahead. And the standard rotation is there, too.
I’ve only been using this version for a few minutes, but it’s already prettier, quieter, sturdier, and more user friendly than my last one. I might have to switch this one with the older one in the bedroom.
PS: Yes, that infernal beep is still there, but it’s a touch quieter than the older model, and apparently can be manually destroyed if you feel strongly about this (see the answered questions). Personally, I won’t be changing the modes on this one so often (speed changes are now silent), so won’t be beeping the husband awake in the middle of the night, like I used to.
I’ve bought a lot of fans over the years and all seem to die after a while i.e. lost of power and effectiveness. This one is amazing. Really solid build and effectiveness is brilliant. I have two now. The first I bought about a year ago and is like brand new in terms of effectiveness. It’s is pricey. But you get what you pay for.
I found it very easy to assemble. The control very easy to use the fan is quiet given its size has been a god send during the recent heat. It runs quietly enough to have it running at night during sleeping.
Nice fan but am a little disappointed with the power, after reading the reviews I was expecting something resembling a wind turbine but unfortunately was nothing like that.
This is probably the quietest fan on the market absolutely fantastic.
I would strongly recommend this Fan if you wanted a fan for the bedroom.
This is a decent fan. No issues to assemble and good quality. 1-7 are small increments of fan speed but there is a little jump to 8 and then steady upwards to a crazy 25 or is it 26…. It pushes the air around really well but obviously as the speed goes up, so does the noise but we are able to tune it out. I don’t regret the purchase for one 1 minute. Good quality and quiet at lower speeds but I’d rather be cool and tune out the wind noise which is not excessive.
I’d previously bought a “quiet” fan, but it was far from it. This fan, up to speed 5, is completely silent. And even beyond that speed, it is still a very quiet fan.
When on a speed of 5 or below, the air is just a gentle “waft” of air. We have the fan pointing directly at the bed and it is very comfortable.
Had a little trouble attaching the front and rear guards but overall assembly was OK
Noise is acceptable even on full powe
I bought this to replace my old cheap & cheerful three bladed fan which had suddenly packed up. It is unusual to see a nine bladed fan.
The assembly instructions could have been clearer, specifically, (1) it would have been helpful if the instructions said to remove the screw at the rear of the control unit before trying to slot the unit into the top section of the pole unit and (2) to make it clearer that the locking nut for the fan blade operates in reverse i.e. turn anticlockwise to tighten and clockwise to loosen. The operating instructions, however, are clear.
The quality of the plastics is top notch; once everything is assembled, the fan looks good. There are 26 speed settings, five pre-programmed settings such as comfort mode, silent mode etc. Tilt adjustment is manual; fan is height adjustable. It can also oscillate should you wish; there is a timer and a remote control.
The fan is virtually silent up to setting four. At setting 26, it produces a fair blast. The nine blades seem very effective. All in all, I’m very impressed. Not cheap at 109 (at time of purchase) but this is a quality fan. It comes with a 2 year automatic warranty. Recommended.
just great esp right now with mine heatwave a must buy and well worth the price you pay for i
Bought this yesterday to use in an upstairs bedroom. Really wallops it in terms of power and versatility. A high quality product which is easy to assemble. Would have achieved 5 stars except for the fact that the battery cover for the remote appears to have been designed by a sadist, obviously intent on provoking a row between you and your co-assembler. Difficult to open and needs redesigning. Also the product descriptor doesn’t give details of the actual height that the fan can be extended, or the width of the base. Happily I found the answer to both issues in the q and a’s.
Its excellent Fan never had before Planning to buy another one soon. 100% recommend to but this one.
I toyed with buying an aircon unit before deciding upon this fan instead. I haven’t regretted my decision for a moment. Apart from being a much cheaper option, it is also far less hassle and, so far, perfect for an English Summer. It is very well made, stylish (as fans go!) and has a huge array of settings. I often leave it on the ‘silent’ setting which gives a gentle breeze and is absolutely silent. All in all, very impressive.
The one and only Fan that you will buy. Great product and was easy to assemble. Everything works as described.
The remote doesn’t work on the fan and the battery holder is terrible
Very high quality fan, lots of great settings. I think most peoe would struggle to be disappointed with this.
This is the second time we have purchased this same fan, this time for my mum and she loves it! It’s powerful but not too noisy. It’s very quiet on the lower settings. It’s very well built and sturdy unlike some other pedestal fans that feel flimsy. It also looks smart. Yes there are cheaper fans out there, but you get what you pay for!
Value for money. Silent mode is silent but normal is best and not too noisy for sleeping.
A little more expensive than the average copper wired ones but you see where your money is. Quality build, and clear visibly. The noise level at lower power levels is amazing in comparison to other fans at lower settings. No vibration at higher speeds, and the sound is significantly still better than others at high levels (I have 5 in my house so the comparison is useful).
Has improved my nightime sleep a lot , nice and quie
The fan is certainly the best I have ever purchased.
All of the features are exactly as described by the manufacturer, including the quiet operation.
I can now sleep comfortably and without noise disturbance.
Seems expensive at first consideration, but it is a well made product which does what it says on the tin.
This fan is amazing, I was unsure about the 26 speed setting but speed 26 is so powerful that you don’t even have to put it that high. I can rest assure that I will be sorted for the hot evenings ahead. All the modes are really good, one of modes even automatically turned on if your room temperature is above 20 degrees. So happy that I didn’t spend 400 on a Dyson fan. This is definitely value for money, I would definitely recommend investing in this fan.
Really great features on this fan. Has various programmes as well as normal fan function, a timer, and the led lights go off once set so it doesn’t disturb you at night.
The features are what makes it great though. “comfort”-it switches on when the room is too hot. “silent” – self explanatory “sleep”-love this one. Starts off at higher speed for half an hour, then a bit slower for half an hour, then at low speed until it switches off. Also has a timer. The remote is brilliant if you want to switch it on, change programmes, etc in the night but don’t want to get out of bed.
Great, apart from the oscillating mode, which is noisy, as in creaking, which you hear when the fan speed is lower than about level 10 or when it’s in quiet mode (kind of self defeating). Not a deal breaker for us in terms of getting a refund but it makes the quiet modes useless for our sleep requirements. I can see the creaking is coming from the power cable being too tight in the housing so I could try and get some sort of lubricant in there.
Better made than most fans of this type, is it worth the money? I’m still in two minds but then I could get 3 of these for the money Dyson charge for a large top of the range fan.
This is a very well made fan which was super easy to put together. For the price of it for me it had to be something special and the ansio fan delivers on all fronts. In normal mode speeds of 1-7 are near enough silent to have running all night without hearing it at all and I am sound sensitive at bedtime. 7 is more than enough to have a comfortable breeze during the night whilst barely noticing any sound. Plenty of different modes and settings that you can use all of which offer something different from the other. Overall a quality fan but reflected in the price. Would I buy again…………. Without hesitation!!!!
You really do get what you pay for when it comes to fans. I hate the heat of summer. I live in a particularly boxy small house that gets very stuffy in the summer. I use a tower fan in the front room but there’s no point in a bedroom with a divan bed. I decided to purchase this pedestal fan after reading the reviews and I am very impressed. The speeds are very flexible from barely there to very strong. Even on it’s strongest setting it is not that noisy. Remote control is brilliant. Very easy to put together. I was not looking forward to building a fan on a hot day but had this up and running, by myself, in less than 20 minutes (would have been sooner if I could have found my small screwdriver for one particularly stubborn screw). I would have liked it to have had a touch more height to it but it would probably be less stable if it did. As it is it is very sturdy on the base. Looks smart and sleek. Definitely splurge on this item if you can’t stand the summer heat.
Quiet. Stylish. Good air flow. Easy to assemble. Nice built-in display. Very pleased with this purchase.
I was expecting better-than-average quality due to price. I was not disappointed. If you’ve ever put a fan together before – it is very easy to assemble. It has various modes and great range of fan speed settings. Highly recommend!
