Light weight and surprisingly fast saw.
If you are cutting 2″ branches if flys through them and can cope up to a 6″ branch but will tend to cut out and require a short break unless you use a 5 amp makita battery which improves the usage.
Assembles very easily and comes with a small tool kit in a robust case.
One battery can cut enough oak to keep your tent stove going all night.

Product is OK and cuts well. However, there is no safety switch or button and the run trigger is so hair-light that even the lightest finger pressure will start it. The only way to be safe is to remove the battery between bursts of use. Also, it would have been useful for a spare chain to have been included as it is an unusual size and, I suspect, not easy to source.
Pros – a useful small saw good for occasional light work when its not worth getting the big chainsaw out.
Cons – handbook is somewhat spare in detail. This is not a tool for the happy amateur. Single trigger action means it is dangerously easy to get the chain turning when you don’t want it to! Safety gloves are essential, & battery should be removed when walking or when leaving it. A small child could operate this if they pick it up, so out-of use security is critical.
The saw is very good and has been used strenuously since recently arriving on time. The only comment is that the assembly details need to be a lot clearer so needed reading several times over.
