Very please nice sturdy bench, looks like it cost a lot more than it did, easy to assemble.
A really well made solid and sturdy bench, it was easy to assemble and wouldn’t look out of place in a park.
I would not hesitate to recommend this bench and at the price is just as good as some costing twice as much!
A hefty box is the first you’ll see of this bench. A good start if you’re hoping for a quality item.
Once unboxed it’s two sides with legs, a back, the seat and a support rail.
There are six long bolts with locking cylinders + 4 screws & an Allen key.
The instructions are good enough and it’s easy to work out what needs to be done.
A star has been lost due to the very frustrating bolt & cylinder setup. The holes drilled for the cylinders are of differing depths so that knowing how far in to push them is difficult.
We found a little blue tack in the hole 1st stopped the cylinders whizzing by the bolt hole & needing to tip everything to get it back out. The simple measure of a depth stop on the pre-drilling process would have prevented faffing about.
The second reason is that the instructions warn that as wood is natural you will get knots etc but the support bar for the front of the seat also has the first part of the seat attached. This was cracked & rough due to a pretty large knot. It really shouldn’t have gotten past quality control.
Wood glue is a good idea for the large dowels used.
Once built the seat is very nice. The arms & legs are nicely sturdy & nothing like some of the thin items you can buy.
The seat curves nicely & is comfortable but it is a hard surface so you might want to cost in the price of a cushion with your purchase.
Everything is straight & solid, you get the feeling that if you look after this, a good few years will see it still going strong.
The width is good for 3 people or two puds like me sitting comfortably.
The timber is all dipped to help preserve it but a varnish or even better a stain will add years to the seat.
I’ve used an anthracite grey by Remmers. Stain allows you to see the grain & doesn’t need stripping, just add a coat every 2 or 3 years.
There are better quality benches but you can expect to nearly double the cost of this one.
This may have had a couple of niggles but it is an attractive & sturdy addition to the garden.
The vfm of this item is very high & I am happy to say it is easy to recommend it.
I would struggle to buy the timber, and allow the hours of cutting and shaping for the price paid.

Delivery was a week early and very well packaged. Came in 5 components and I was able to assemble myself (69+ female). Very sturdy and looks impressive, very pleased with thus product.

Nice. but a couple of pieces of the wood frame had splits which should have been removed during manufacturing.

Delivery was excellent, before expected. The benches are both sturdy, look good qaulity and were easy to assemble. Can’t wait to have my morning cuppa on the sun drenched patio, just need some sun now!

An attractive and natural bench. Blends in naturally in any garden. We are not painting or staining until absolutely necessary as it’s already treated and looks great. Easy enough to assemble with allun key and bolts etc provided. Seats 3 a bit cosy but seats 2 very comfortably. Sturdy and comfortable. Very pleased with this product.
Great value bench – very sturdy and easy to assemble – needed two people but that’s mainly because of the weight of the bench. Had no problems as others have described with holes not lining up – all fittings worked perfectly.

Heavyweight, sturdy, well-made, and good-looking. This bench seems much better than others we’ve bought in the past. No problems with assembly. All holes etc lined up ok, no adjustment required.
Bench turned up promptly, had it unpacked and assembled within 2 hours and a good soaking of teak oil to boot! Looks a lot more expensive than what we paid for it. Can’t fault it.

great bench but the bolts were impossible to line up with the screw thread.so I put together with out bolts. its sturdy enough to sit on like this. I then ordered 5 inch wood screws and screwed it together within 3 minutes…..this is the way I should have done it from the start…muuuuch easier..

The only downside is that the screw heads are quite soft . Stronger ones would be better.
Great bench for the price, 6 bolts & 4 screws to assemble but take your time and read instructions to assemble in correct order.
my husband, who is not an easily impressed engineer, thought this bench was smashing, very VERY sturdy and a proper 3 person size not a squished up 3 person bench lol well worth the money

It definitely needs two people to put it together but is very straight forward to duo.
Very good quality we had 35st 6lb sittingbon it and it was very sturdy really easy to assemble
Good value bench for intended use. Bit tricky to put together but worth taking a little time to clear sawdust from holes to ensure bolts will fit.
We love the bench, however my husband had difficulty assembling due to the the holes were not drilled deep enough making it very frustrating to assemble!
