Excellent performance, easy to run, portable enough to use in a self built camper or to simply use as an outdoor shower whilst away. Quality is fantastic and although a steep price it is worth it. Recommended.
This is definitely superior invention for portable water heater either for back garden or camping. Whole concept of it is to be accessible whenever you need it with unfortunately some limitations in reality.
Use of it is super simple, plug water inlet, gas bottle and water outlet and enjoy hot water completely outside. Sounds brilliant but comes down to some necessary steps which is plugging into outside water tap which gonna use its own pressure to push water into gas heater since unfortunately it have not internal water pump. Size of this heater at the moment would not fit pump anyway without serious modifications and redesign. Many camping sites have access to water tap for every plot so this is not a problem. Can’t imagine anyone taking this to the middle if the forest anyway. However you can choose model where they supplying external water pump with heater so full package.
Heater itself is extremely well build and doesn’t look that much different from gas heating in home. My model comes with stand as one option to use it besides if hanging by hanger or handle. In box you gonna find everything you need to use it such an water hose adapters, shower head, gas bottle connector. I believe there is a lot behind this heater regarding safety and it has all sort of protection, on the end this is gas. I am very pleased with this heater.
I have not used it yet as it does not fit my gas bottle I need to change the regulate
Fitted this shower to my camper band and gives a great powerful and hot shower , switches on and off from the shower head switch , would recommend to anyone
Great shower, works very well. Only gripe was both the water hose quick connect fittings were missing so had to purchase a couple of hose lock ones from hardware store.

Due to the ever increasing price of electricity i banned the use of our hot tub this year, much to my partners utter disgust! After lots of moans i gave in and set it all up – heating it up from cold water (about 18c) took a little under 25hrs and cost 15 according to out energy monitor! My Lay-Z-Spa has around 1100 litres of water and the 2kw electric heater in the pump eats electricity! As a result of this, and due to the fact energy prices are due to increase again in October i decided to look at alternative means of heating up my spa.
This camplux outside water heater is designed for camping showers, but doing lot’s of research i decided to order it to see if it would heat up my spa!
When it arrived i was keen to see how this thing would work. Setup was quick, easy and simple. I ordered the kit that came with everything, the boiler, hoses and pump and a shower attachment. The only extra i needed was gas!
The boiler is light and compact, it has a neat carry handle allowing super portability. You need to insert 2 D size batteries into the base of the boiler which act as the power for the ignition sparks. You then just connect the hot and cold pipes via the included hose connectors. The cold pipe came in two section to you could put the 12v water pump in between. The gas hose and regulator connected up easy, you just need to tighten with a spanner to ensure a good seal. The 12v water pump has bare ended wires so i purchase a 12v cigarette lighter adapter and crimped this onto the positive and negative wires. I used a small battery pack to power the pump. I have seen others use a car battery but i did not want to do this. You can also use a 240v to 12v adapter which are available on Amazon for around 17 (i bought one of these also).
Once all the hoses are connected, you put on the gas regulator (15kg patio gas worked great for me) and i plugged in the pump. Immediately i heard water flowing through the pipes and the boiler started clicking into action. I set the water flow on MAX and the GAS on MIN. Within a couple of seconds i had hot water coming out of the red pipe and into my hot tub. Turning up the gas to full resulted in super hot water coming through the pipes at a very decent flow rate.
This nifty little device heated my hot tub but 7c in about 90 mins. This is so much quicker than 1-2c per hour with the original 2kw heater supplied with the spa. Even better was the fact the gas indicator didn’t even more on the patio gas!
I have been using this set up for nearly a week now and we absolutely love it. First impressions are that it is much more cost effective than heating via mains electricity. The tub heats up so much quicker than using the 2kw heater. The gas has also hardly gone down despite heating up out spa every day this week by about 7-8c every day. I really am super impressed with this little guy!!
One point i would like to make is that Chlorine is known to corrode copper over time, so i am not sure about the lifespan of the Camplux using it in this way, it is clearly not designed for this purpose. I do flush it through with water after each use. For it’s designed purpose, ie a portable camping shower system then this would be beyond superb!
One other thing of note is that you need the boiler in a fairly sheltered place, today was a little windy and the boiler flames kept blowing out, causing the safety features to kick in. Moving the boiler to a more sheltered area (still outside of course – this thing needs to vent into the open air) stopped the flames from going out.
There are several safety features also built into this boiler, for example if water stops flowing through the boiler then it cuts out and the gas turns off. It auto starts again as soon as the water pump kicks in and water flows through the system.
One additional point of note is that it definitely will work out cheaper if you buy the boiler and the pump separately, however i just wanted everything to work without hassle, hence why i purchased the complete set.
I can not recommend the Camplux AY132P enough! Well made, excellent heating properties, fantastic flow rate and appears to be economical on the gas. I am beyond delighted with this product!!

Fantastic product! Bought this for a Scout Group for a week long greenfield camp and it was brilliant, it was used every day and did not fault once. The water is hot about 5 seconds after the burner kicks in and the pump pressure feels like a proper shower. Very efficient on gas ad electric use, we had it attached to a 13kg propane canister which was not full and it still had gas at the end of the week and ran the pump of a leisure battery which was more than enough power All I had to do was wiring two battery clips onto the pump cable and change the gas regulator to a UK one and I was away. 100% recommend!

Mise en place en 3 mn, juste le temps d accrocher le chauffe eau, mettre le tuyau d aspiration ds mon bidon d’eau, connecter le gaz et c est parti.
L allumage est automatique et instantan quand vous mettez la pompe en route.
J’ai achet le couple pompe + chauffe eau + accessoires (tuyaux eau et gaz/dtendeur) auquel j ai ajout un bouton marche/arrt pour la pompe. J emmne ma petite bouteille de gaz butagaz pour l alimenter.
Un plus serait d avoir un tuyau de douche plus long. J ai achet un 3 mtres de douche, c’est parfai

Lo he probado con una bomba Surflo de 7litros/minuto y funciona correctamente. Regulando el gas y el caudal de agua, se consigue la temperatura adecuada sin necesidad de mezclar con agua fra.
Muy portable y fcil de poner en funcionamiento.
